I love Lk. 4:16-21; They are the beginning of Jesus' ministry after He had fasted AND prayed. He went into the synagogue, asked for God's Word, turned to Isa. and STOOD UP to read (our example to follow) and then sat down and gave a summary of His ministry for the next 3 1/2 yrs. These scriptures, to me, are so 'holy' and full of such graciousness, wonder. Nor do I know why I feel this way - ?

The Parable of the Unjust Judge is a great lesson for Christians to understand just how much the Lord Himself is disgusted with and cannot stand the wicked and their works. Notice how the Lord says, "Hear what the unjust judge says! and shall not God avenge His own Elect, which cry day and night unto Him; though He bear long time WITH THEM?" Are you suffering grief and trial? He bears it with you!

What does it mean at 1 Samuel 15:3 Now go and smite Amalek, and utterly destroy all that they have, and spare them not; but slay both man and woman, infant and suckling, ox and sheep, camel and ass?

Question: Why did God kill young children?

The WHOLE CREATION groans and toils, waiting for the manifestation of the sons of God. The whole world is corrupted because of man; and all wait to see the completed salvation of the world, in the coming of Jesus Christ, and His eternal kingdom. Eccl. 3:21 Who knows the spirit of man that goes upward, and the spirit of the beast that goes downward to the earth? God's plan is to restore all things.

God said , " Let Us Create Man in Our Image " . Us Our is more then one ! Why ? As God made Adam Eve joined in holy marriage they became one flesh . God sows He is one God, Father Son Spirit, joined in 3 forms . We were made in His image , Body Soul Spirit . God wants us to be a team . As a team , ie. , the body of Christ , we can reflect His light to those in spiritual darkness ! " Hear all Israel the Lord, our God , the Lord is One " ! Unconditional love comes from Above !

Vs. 25 - I enjoy this verse because it prompts Christians to do research and look for the reason behind things. Example: as a Jehovah's Witness I do not celebrate Christmas. As expected many people ask: WHY? Isn't it about Jesus? After exploring the origins of Christmas, I found that it was a pagan holiday. Therefore, after searching for wisdom, I came to the conclusion that pagan and Christ = NO!

The chapter shows the passion of Jesus, the High Priest, in his vehemently urging repentence to gain the Holy Spirit of God. And who is blessed of God? Those who hear the word and keep it. 1 Pet. 3:15 - "But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts ..... "; the word 'sanctify' tripped me up - until I asked an elder about it. I had always read or heard that God sanctified us; how could we sanctify Him? By setting Him apart in our daily walk. He sets us apart to Himself from the world, we set Him apart in our lives, how we live holily for Him, in His will.

Paul and Silas told him to believe on the Lord Jesus Christ. To 'believe' is more than just 'mental' assent. Read Jas.1:22,23, 17,18, 20-22, 24-26. To believe is simply faith; to have faith is to believe.

Eph. 1:13 - the word of 'truth' is Acts 2:38 (Matt.28:19); the gospel of your salvation, Acts 2:37 - "men and brethren, what must we do"? ye were sealed with that holy spirit of promise, Acts 10:45-46.

What is the purpose of baptism? Can one be saved and go to Heaven without being baptized?

If you depend on just verse 9, you depend on works. One must take in the whole counsel of God! It starts with Faith, then comes the works compelled by the Holy Spirit. I.E, What is faith without works? - James I believe.
All the commandments hinge on Love God first, Neighbor next. The rest will fall in place with a progressing relationship through prayer and study.

Show me the word trinity in the word of God? Where is it written there are three Gods in one? There are three different manifestations of God, God the Father, God the Son and the Holy Spirit, but all three are the same one God. They are just in different forms. Jesus was God robed in flesh, but was God, The Holy Spirit was non other than the spirit of God and God is God and there is non other!

The sermon on the mount is the essential teaching of this world. It us neither christian or jew ir muslim but universal. What shall we as humans do to merit the favor of God? This chapter should be read and understood iften as well as the other books of the bible. Their is no ither place that I know of where it is so clearly truth being spoken. Who will hear and perform these verses?

Melkisidec, the high priest who simply was, sent by God, for the benefit of Abraham, the friend of God, the father of both gentile and jew. Truly there is no difference with God. Jesus taught as a Jewish priest, from Jewish literature. He pleased God and was given gifts unimaginable. From wence came the Christian? Irene: The Bible is "The Word"of God. The Word is Jesus! The Bread of Life! The One "you" need "Faith" in for Salvation. Only by The Blood of The Lamb is there Salvation. His sacrificed paid it all! V. 1 - " ..... but 'try' the spirits whether they are of God .... "; It took me years to understand the meaning of this. How does one 'try' someone's spirit? By the word of God, check what they've told you about scripture to see if it's in the Bible - Jn. 5:39; Acts 17:11. We are to do this with pastors also. A TRUE pastor will encourage you to check what he tells you.

Bruce, thank you for your ans. I posted the scriptures Revelation 13:7 and Daniel 7:25 because these two scriptures would keep me from believing in the "rapture." If the beast is coming to make war with the saints Rev 13:7 or to wear out the saints of the Most High Dan 7:25 then explain how this can happen if we are not here? I am afraid God's people will not be prepared for what is to come.
