  • Irene123 on Matthew 7 - 9 years ago
You are quite the 'naysayer'. Being a Christian we are to lift each other up. Jesus' church of Acts ch. 2 - is still here. You just told people there is no hope by saying there are no churches that preach truth anymore. I've got a feeling you've been in 'contact' with His church ....... ? The one that preaches Acts 2:38 for salvation.
  • Irene123 on 2 Corinthians 11 - 9 years ago
Acts 9:23-25; 2 Cor. 11:32-33; How can anyone read these 2 scriptures and think they are of 2 different incidents .....? 2 Cor. is a RECOUNTING of Acts 9. Just as vs. 24 -27 are a recounting of PAST sufferings.
  • ANMOYNOUS on 1 Samuel 23 - 9 years ago
Yes, thinking the same things as one of the comments, who told King Saul where David was hiding those times?? Also, yes, even though King Saul's men had surrounded David and his men, God intervened and caused Saul to leave. So lesson learned is even though situations look impossible, keep trusting Jesus because He can turn all situations around for your good, and I have seen this happened.
  • God's Girl on Revelation 1 - 9 years ago
    Dear Faith Coke,
Is it okay to have those things, or do we have to not have them to get into Heaven? I think you were meaning that you should not have anything above God, right?
  • Irene123 on Mark 1 - 9 years ago
To M. Balatiheng - Where do you see that John the Baptist at a later time ate people ate? The Bible has NOTHING to say about what he ate a ta later time. Be careful - Rev. 22:18-19.
  • Irene123 on Acts 2 - 9 years ago
Does anyone on here know that it was at least15 years after Jesus established His church in Acts ch. 2 that the epistles even BEGAN to be written, the 'epistles' being all the books after Acts. So where did all the scriptures come from that the apostles and disciples use to witness to people during those 15 yrs? Answer - from their knowledge of the O.T. and Jesus' 3 yr. ministry with them.
  • Irene123 on 2 Timothy 1 - 9 years ago
To Jerry - How were you baptized? in the'words' of Matt.28:19 or in the NAME of Jesus of Acts 2:38? There is a difference. note - JESUS very words of Matt. 28:19, "baptizing them in the NAME of....." father, son, and holy ghost are His- titles; His name is JESUS. Acts 4:12 - "for here is NONE other name under heaven whereby we MUST be saved."

To Daniel - you did know the 'eye of a needle' was the small gate/door off to the side of the large one? the 'needle' was for people on foot, while the large one was for commercial vehicles, camels, etc.
  • Irene123 on Psalms 1 - 9 years ago
To C. Jones - Ps.1:2 - but his delight is in the LAW of the Lord. Also Deut. 11:27, 28; Jn. 14:15; 15:1; 1 Jn. 5:3. What is your opinion of why God gave us His word - the Bible ..... ?
  • Irene123 on Genesis 22 - 9 years ago
"..... and I and the lad will go ....... and come again to you." This was just br'ot out in this a.m. Bible study. Abraham had FAITH in God, but did he realize what he said here? Or did God put those words in his mouth, un-knowing to Abraham? Abraham actually raised the knife. I just feel that Abraham didn't realize what he had said; and 'feelings' are not a good interpreter of His word.
  • C Jones on Psalms 1 - 9 years ago
My friends you cannot earn your way to Heaven by obeying or abiding in the will of God. We are sinners and we need a savior. Jesus died and rose again to give us eternal life and he promises that all who ask him for salvation will be saved.
Acts 16:30 "And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved?
31 And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved,"
  • Irene123 on Nehemiah 1 - 9 years ago
Did anyone know that Ezra and Nehemiah were the last 2 books of the O.T. written, Nehemiah being the very last, before the 400 yrs. silence between the Old and New testaments? There were writings during those 400 yrs., but even the writers didn't consider them inspired of God, is why they are not included in the canon of His word. Nehemiah was the last INSPIRED word of God for the O.T.
  • Irene123 - 9 years ago
People make God out to be so cruel; how could He do some of the things people say He does and -- be a God of LOVE?! That's just confusion ad God IS NOT the author of confusion; but take guess at who is? And he also knows the word of God better than any human will ever know it.
  • Irene123 on John 3 - 9 years ago
To Tabitha - remember Abraham taking Isaac up the mtn. to sacrifice him? But God provided a ram caught by it's horns in the brush. As God wasn't cruel enough to let A. follow through, neither would He be cruel enough to sacrifice His 'son'. The Bible says, God was MANIFEST in the flesh. God provided HIMSELF with a flesh body in the incarnation with Mary to be the sinless sacrifice for our sins.
  • Barbara B on Ezekiel 26 - 9 years ago

  • Bible Reader on Revelation 21 - 9 years ago
Hi LaVonne Re: Pat, I can understand why you might have reason to think these things described have not 'really' happened yet, but what about at the very start of the book where we are told they must shortly come to pass? Also, I don't think you are considering the sort of literature this is, it's apocalyptic. The book is often referred to as the Apocalypse of St. John.
  • Irene123 - 9 years ago

Matt Satan is bringing a false peace that to the ignorant of the scriptures they will really think Christ has returned and when he performs supernatural tricks they will worship him. Because he the religious dragon Satan himself is deceiving the whole world.

  • Sue M on Psalms 11 - 9 years ago
I would like to open a discussion about verse 5 The LORD trieth the righteous: but the wicked and him that loveth violence his soul hateth.
My question is, how do we reconcile this verse with John 3:16? Thanks for your insights.
  • Mark on Job 1 - 9 years ago
God did not create Satan. The bible says in I John 3-8 that the devil sinneth from the beginning. And in John 8-44 that he was a murderer from the beginning. Also, he could not have been in the heaven that is considered the realm of God, if so, then there was sin in heaven! If it is possible for sin to be in heaven, then what do we have to hope for? Remember, the bible speaks of 3 heavens.

"Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son.
23 Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: (but) he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also." If you reject Jesus Christ, you reject God. John ch. 1 and 1 John ch. 5 v. 7: Jesus IS THE LIVING WORD OF GOD. In other words: GOD HIMSELF in the flesh.
