Are not five sparrows sold for two farthings, and not one of them is forgotten before God? And they fell upon their faces, and said, O God, the God of the spirits of all flesh, shall one man sin, and wilt thou be wroth with all the congregation? O thou that hearest prayer, unto thee shall all flesh come. My mouth shall speak the praise of the LORD: and let all flesh bless his holy name for ever and ever. And I will remember my covenant, which is between me and you and every living creature of all flesh and the waters shall no more become a flood to destroy all flesh. Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh: is there any thing too hard for me? Be silent, O all flesh, before the LORD: for he is raised up out of his holy habitation. These words spake Jesus, and lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, I pray for them: I pray not for the world, but for them which thou hast given me for they are thine. While I was with them in the world, I kept them in thy name: those that thou gavest me I have kept, and none of them is lost, but the son of perdition that the scripture might be fulfilled. And all flesh shall see the salvation of God. And the glory of the LORD shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it.

To the question, "Who are the saints?" let me respond as follows: Saints are not some special class/group/subset of believers but are actually any who have trusted the Lord Jesus and are born again. See Philippians 1:1 for a proof text. Here you find mentioned those who makes up the church, saints, plus the two offices delineated in the New Testament for each local church; bishops and deacons.
  • Michael C. on Psalms 77 - 9 years ago
Dear Brother, I was not being a hypocrite or proud; you said that you let doubt into your life, and worried that you weren't even saved.Who was behind that wicked thought? Not a brother in the Lord, who is telling you in the love of the Spirit, to wise up and play the man; for your people, and for your God! Believe God,and give no place to the devil for anything, ESPECIALLY YOUR BLOOD BOUGHT SOUL!
  • Heavsala on Psalms 91 - 9 years ago
I need you Jesus. It seems that I am in a very depressed state due to my current circumstance. I try my hardest to keep standing on your foundation of faith but the enemy fights hard and uses those closest to me to try and tear me apart. What am I missing Lord? What is it that I cant see? I do know one thing and that is the fact that you are more powerful than the enemy...My hope is in you Lord!
  • Michael Cannady on Psalms 77 - 9 years ago
This is directed to Michael C. (the one with the period after his "c")...

First off, I ask you to read Matthew 7:3-5..

I will be praying for what I see as a Spirit of pride that is seeming to make you feel that YOU are a better Christian that anyone else.. Some are strong in Faith, others need to ask for forgiveness for their weakness (meaning me..) I feel you are judging me. (The Lord's job?)
  • Michael C. on Psalms 73 - 9 years ago
What kind of spurious Christianity do so many have, who are seemingly so ready to give Jesus the back, flee like cowards, and lose heart because of the contradictions of the ungodly, or the difficulties of the way! "The cup which my Father has given me to drink, shall I not drink it?" And as it goes with our Master, we shouldn't expect better for ourselves. Is your treasure all in this evil time?
  • Alfred Ch on Jeremiah 29 - 9 years ago
Where can I buy this Bible?
  • Michael C. on Psalms 77 - 9 years ago
Do you allow two of the same name to comment? I have no doubts or fears about being saved! Walk in the Spirit, and make no room for the devil or his filthy allurements! I have repented of my sins, and am truly converted; and I stay converted! Jesus the Son of God came in the flesh to lay down His life to save me from my sins. Too many give in to the flesh, and destroy many others with themselves.
  • Michael C. on Genesis 6 - 9 years ago
Does no one think it strange, or something to question; that certain books which didn't exist before the rise of Rabbinic Judaism, and are clearly men's writings, albeit sounding most learned and devout; that they don't agree absolutely with the real and known Holy Scriptures of the Bible? The anointed king of Israel, said by the Spirit of God, that "He makes His angels spirits."Angels cant breed!
  • Michael C. on Genesis 5 - 9 years ago
In the world of the beginning, the LORD was careful that Moses wrote precisely all things; and the number of the years of the holy Ancients, was not a mistake, or something other than we exactly read it! As the Lord said to Peter about John; "If I will that he tarry till I come, what is that to you? You follow me." If God willed it for men to live 900 years, who is any man to question His power?
  • Shirley M. Smith on Psalms 11 - 9 years ago
Praise God. It was asked why? Do Yahweh allow suffering upon his people. First of all God is not a father who goes around killing or just bring curses upon anyone. Read Hebrews 3:7-19 Yahweh is speaking through Brother Paul. Telling us the believers not to Harden our hearts against Yahweh. If we do the wages of sins is consequences. Amen obedience is better than a sacrifice. So listen to Yahweh. A

Yves, continued... Why don't Christians read and believe their Bibles, and the oft repeated words of our Lord? The catching away of the Saints who are yet living and remain to the coming of the Lord, is at the coming of the Lord! The last trumpet is the coming of the Lord. The Beast will make war and prevail against the Saints, till the coming of Jesus with His all Angels in power.
  • Dom on Revelation 19 - 9 years ago
Do you actually think that GOD needs watchdogs to protect him?
  • Yves on Revelation 6 - 9 years ago
"Popular" teachings say that Christians will not go through the Great Tribulation. The truth is that we will be going through it! In 2 Thessalonians 2: 1-4, It's crystal clear that Jesus will not return before the Antichrist is revealed. Furthermore, the Antichrist will be persecuting the saints Christians ... if we're all gone in a pre-tribulation rapture, who will he persecute??? Pre-trib makes no sense!
  • SLC-David on Psalms 11 - 9 years ago
Reply to [Goodness], your question.. Why does God allow them to suffer pains and agony of all aspects of life? Your answer lies in verse 5: "The LORD trieth the righteous.." As believers of Jesus, we are not assured a life of ease, honor, and bliss. No. Our faith will be tried. Those of small faith will fall by the wayside. You and I cannot comprehend the Grand Design of our Father.
  • Goodness on Psalms 11 - 9 years ago
If the Lord loves the righteous why he allows them to suffer pains and agony of all expects of life?
  • TheTruth on Proverbs 12 - 9 years ago
My brothers and sisters let's not be mislead but be wise and be aware of those lying lips, Psalm 31:18-Let the lying lips be mute, which speak insolently against the righteous in pride and contempt. in the book of Acts we also see it clear Acts 7:51-53 You stiff-necked people, uncircumcised in heart and ears, you always resist the Holy Spirit. As your fathers did, so do you. 52Which of the prophets did your fathers not persecute? And they killed those who announced beforehand the coming of the Righteous One, whom you have now betrayed and murdered, 53you who received the law as delivered by angels and did not keep it. Let's stop rejecting the truth and the righteous one. aslo in book Psalm- Psalm 120:2-Deliver my soul, O LORD, from lying lips, From a deceitful tongue. let's not fall in are own traps when we speak to others about the word of God with lying lips, practice what you preach we should always pray and let him teach us! Matthew 23:8-8.But you are not to be called rabbi, for you have one teacher, and you are all brothers.c 9And call no man your father on earth, for you have one Father, who is in heaven. 10Neither be called instructors, for you have one instructor, the Christ. these are the things to teach others the true word without lying lips.

Hear ye now, O house of David; Is it a small thing for you to weary men, but will ye weary my God also? Hear ye the word of the LORD, O house of Jacob, and all the families of the house of Israel: You only have I known of all the families of the earth: therefore I will punish you for all your iniquities.

  • Leslie on Genesis 31 - 9 years ago
Does no one find it odd that in the KJV Bible Genesis 31:37 , the word "stuff" is used twice? Their speech back then was so proper...stuff is slang.
  • Sokanon on 2 Samuel 8 - 9 years ago
David was a humble man. He killed 18,000 men. Toi sent him gifts for defeating his enemy, and David dedicated it all to the Lord. God has given us talents and abilities. When we use them, are we glorifying God?
  • Dimitri - 9 years ago
So who was this Jehovah in Gen18 if no one has seen God before (Joh1:18)? Clearly it was Jesus, because He veiled His Divinity that He might be with them. If God the Father came to Earth - it would be destroyed, so God 'The Son' made into a man came instead :-) Also, the title 'Son of God' is applicable only AFTER Jesus was made into a man and had to be sustained by God to survive, like us :-)
  • CLC on James 1 - 9 years ago
What are divers temptations ( James 1:2)?
  • Michael C. on Genesis 3 - 9 years ago
Did God know beforehand? He knows all things, and is still good and faithful to all; leaving all without excuse. The plan of God concerning man, He will certainly bring to its perfect end. Has not the potter power over the clay, to make one vessel unto honor, and the other unto dishonor? He now tries us with His melting and proving of every man's soul; of what kind each of us shall prove to be.

And Jesus went out, and departed from the temple: And as he went out of the temple, one of his disciples saith unto him, Master, see what manner of stones and what buildings are here! And Jesus said unto them, Seest thou these great buildings? For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ and shall deceive many. And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many. Take heed that no man deceive you. For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect. See ye not all these things? Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there believe it not. Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come. So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors. Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh. I am your sign: The days are at hand, and the effect of every vision. For I am the LORD: I will speak, and the word that I shall speak shall come to pass it shall be no more prolonged: for in your days, O rebellious house, will I say the word, and will perform it, saith the Lord GOD. Verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down. There shall none of my words be prolonged any more, but the word which I have spoken shall be done, saith the Lord GOD.

It is written, My house is the house of prayer: but ye have made it a den of thieves. Wherefore ye be witnesses unto yourselves, that ye are the children of them which killed the prophets. Will a man rob God? Yet ye have robbed me. But ye say, Wherein have we robbed thee? In tithes and offerings.
  • Annie jenkins on Ezekiel 34 - 9 years ago
what does this chapter means ?
  • Jarritt on Luke 24 - 9 years ago
"Why are ye troubled, and why do thoughts arise in your hearts?" the promised appearing of Jesus our Lord should keep our hearts in check and not trouble our hearts as believers in Jesus. Why think what will be tomorrow when it is already promised by a covenant keeping God who is alive with in the heart of His people...
  • Norm on Proverbs 29 - 9 years ago
Son of man, hast thou seen what the ancients of the house of Israel do in the dark, every man in the chambers of his imagery? for they say, The LORD seeth us not the LORD hath forsaken the earth. Therefore let us lie in wait for the righteous because he is not for our turn, and he is clean contrary to our doings: he upbraideth us with our offending the law, and objecteth to our infamy the transgressings of our education.
