To Word, In Job 38:4 God is speaking to Job, "WHERE WERE YOU when I laid the foundations of the earth? Tell me, if you know so much." If Job wasn't there when God created the earth, then you and I and all the souls your talking about were not present either! God is speaking to the Angels.

I am a writer and took more than a look at the psalms. I edit as well and I found in the psalms 'thing' were repeated. That does not make them wrong/ bad. I have learned other writers were inspired to write, perhaps 'add' in their thoughts. It is a salute to the original writer of the psalms.I've tried my hand at turning psalm 1 into a poem. It came out well. Church Newsletter next? Who knows?

What do people mean when they say God is in control ? I think that saying is a cop out !!! Is God in control of my life : No , if I am not allowing myself to DO His will , then and only then is God in control when we are working together toward His goal that He has mapped out for my life : Is God in control of all that is going on in the world : Obviously NOT : Look at all the CHAOS !!! Unless the people in the world turn to God and do it HIS WAY : Then God is in Control !!! Some people say that God is in Control so they do not have to do anything : Which category do you and I come in ??? God must be involved in your life ,and if not , He is not in your life !!!
  • Thandy on John 1 - 9 years ago
I think John came to inform us about Jesus Christ and what He meant to us and who He is.Looking at John 1vs 1 which states that in the beginning was the word and the word was with God and the word was God.Meaning to say that every word of God we speak it can be prophecy,or praying for those that are not well we will be speaking God in that individuals life.We will be bringing light in that persons life.Furthermore, if you look at John1:14 it tasks about the word becoming flesh.Which word? That word which was mentioned in the book of John 1:2 that the word was Godd. As we speak the word, we pray it becomes flesh in us it is not dead but alive and it is going to accomplish what I will be sending it fourth to do.Likensure when God saI'd let the light and there was light.Wooh this is powerfull. As as Christian we should exercase that authority which has been given unto us by speaking the word which is flesh and alive. I can go on and on.It was nicestablished sharinget with your.

To Irene123, thanks for the "explanation". Not sure what you mean by the word "dispensation". Are you saying that the earth took less time to rotate around the sun in Noah's time ?

  • Peter A. Okebukola on 1 Kings 11 - 9 years ago
When will mortal man ever learn? The story of the Jews is replete with good behaviour towards God one day accompanied with priceless reward and bad behaviour the next, especially turning to other gods, followed by harsh punishment. In physics, it is like a sinusoidal wave. Solomon had the benefit of knowing this history and still transgressed. Solution? Genuine salvation of our soul.

Gloria you can only fulfill this covenant obligation Tithe by Divine Grace. I once had such challenge and I truly desired to pay my tithe so I can receive more blessings from God, indeed God empowered me. When my father died devil spoke to me, now that your father is late, will you pay your tithe? If you pay your tithe how will you get more money for my father's funeral? I shun the devils voice and paid all my tithe, even the cash gift that were given to me, I paid tithe of all. God surprised me and we had more than enough after the funeral. God will engrace you to become a faithful tither. Remember that 10 cannot go a long way in meeting your needs but God can supply all your needs according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus Philippians 4:19

To Loren, on Gen.2:24 Jesus referred to this statement as the basis for marriage ( Matt. 19:5) and Eph. 5:31-32 uses it as an expression of the relationship of Christ to the church. The married couple should function as a single unit of " one flesh." However, it is not man in isolation, but man in restoration. What happens when the man and woman divorce? Are they still one flesh?

In the beginning . . . In means with in, inside.
the beginning means integral commencement . What began?
Verse 2, tell us. To start one needs something that was before start. No one can start anything without them first being there to start it. One needs move as in movement so it can fall back on itself, so it can create its image); it needs light and it needs water.
