Jeremiah 5:9 Shall I not visit for these things? saith the LORD: and shall not my soul be avenged on such a nation as this? 10 Go ye up upon her walls, and destroy but make not a full end: take away her battlements for they are not the LORD'S. 11 For the house of Israel and the house of Judah have dealt very treacherously against me, saith the LORD. 12 They have belied the LORD, and said, It is not he neither shall evil come upon us neither shall we see sword nor famine: Jeremiah 14:15 Therefore thus saith the LORD concerning the prophets that prophesy in my name, and I sent them not, yet they say, Sword and famine shall not be in this land By sword and famine shall those prophets be consumed.

When people say their is no God, and why did God let certain thing happen? We must believe that God is the Great I AM, and God allows thing to happen because man (we) make bad choices. We service a free will God and must pick our battles wisely. Praise Jesus everybody!

  • S. Dodd on Genesis 4 - 9 years ago
In our Bible study on Gen 4:4.The majority of the class say "offering" is the same as "sacrifice".We say that Abel had to kill the lamb as a sacrifice,.. burn the fat thereof as an offering unto the Lord. She says it was an "offering"..." Such as a child 'offers' a cookie to a friend"..she says that there is no "scriptural" proof that it was a "sacrifice" by Abel. Can u explain the difference? TY

In Genesis chapter 4 verse 17, Eve gave birth to Enoch. So in Genesis Chapter 5 verse 18 says Jared lived one hundred sixty two years and became the father of Enoch. I am a little confused here. Can you shed some light on this? Thank you .
  • Steve Bartlett on John 16 - 9 years ago
In this, my favorite verse of the Bible, Christ promises us that we will experience ("ye shall have"), hardship in this life, but He also assures us that we are not to be downhearted about this ("but be of good cheer"), because He has already destroyed ("I have overcome") all hardship ("the world" - i.e. the home of tribulation). What greater assurance can there be in this life, than this?
  • Mathews on Exodus 35 - 9 years ago
Is it under the law or under grace? All human race, since the fall, have lived under grace. And this is exhibited by the fact that though sin abounded from generation to generation grace also abounded. If man could be left under the law, no one could live, for the broken law demands the life of the transgressor. God has provided us a way to life, we who deserve death because we are all sinners and

  • Jeanne on 2 Samuel 2 - 9 years ago
Winnie, I often wonder how people in church and not express any emotion to the point of not saying "amen" or hallelujah during a good Spirit filled message. Would they sit like pillars of stone at a sporting event?

  • Richard harp on Genesis 1 - 9 years ago
when HE said let us make man in OUR IMAGE; HE was not speaking to the Angels...they were created beings as we are: HE was speaking to AN EQUAL(S). We have seen that GOD expresses HIMSELF over a period of time and CHRIST reiterated it...when HE said there are some things that I cannot reveal to you at this time; my own view of what HE said; and why? because they were in no position to understand.

  • Pastor J.S.Olu.Aina on Genesis 12 - 9 years ago
God was so good not to have allowed anything to destroy the union of the couple. Sarah agreed to be the scape goat based on love, trust and loyalty. Abram lied in order to be well with him! Would it have been well with his own wife if not for God's intervention? I salute Sarah's courage. Present days christian wives to emulate her.
  • JW on Isaiah 45 - 9 years ago

  • Tatjana on Daniel 9 - 9 years ago
Daniel 9 is clear up to the 26th verse. From Cyrus's decree to restore and build Jerusalem to the coming of Jesus the Messiah to his crucifixion and the destruction of Jerusalem by the Romans..all is clear. Then there is verse 27. Isn't it possible that this "he" could refer to Jesus also and not in the future but in the past. The temple sacrifices ceased after Jesus died and the curtain was rent in two from top to bottom. Jesus did make a new covenant with us, making the old one obsolete. Why are we applying the last week to the future? And to someone else. I say the "he" in verse 27 causes ambiguity but I am not entirely sure that it should apply to the future anti-Christ.
  • Norm on Mark 13 - 9 years ago
Father, You make it very clear, we are not to be ignorant as to the return of our LORD and SAVIOUR, when we will meet Him in the clouds. Bless all those who seek You in truth and bless our enemies. In CHRIST JESUS I pray and give Thee thanks. Amen. Mark 13:32 But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father. 33 Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is. Matthew 24:43 But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up. Matthew 24:45 Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath made ruler over his household, to give them meat in due season?
  • Stephenderafael on Matthew 1 - 9 years ago
Yes, Jesus is the Son of God, of course. The son is not the Father. No one has seen God but Jesus was intimate with him, calling him Abba This is why Jesus was not Joseph's son.Has not God sent many messengers but only one Son?. As this Lukan parable states, they will kill the Son in order to wrest the kingdom from the husbandman. Indeed this has come to pass.
  • Albert H. Childs on Numbers 30 - 9 years ago
Ephesians 5:22-24 Wives, submit to your own husbands, as to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife even as Christ is the head of the church, his body, and is himself its Savior. Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit in everything to their husbands.

This is the present day position for a believing wife, under grace. Did she "vow her vow unto the Lord ?
