Craig, It is biblical to protect another person. Would you deprive someone of protecting someone with a gun? The verse means; God kills everyone "I kill", when he removes his breath from you, you will die.

Luke 11:34 The light of the body is the eye: therefore when thine eye is single, thy whole body also is full of light but when thine eye is evil, thy body also is full of darkness. Daniel 2:22 He revealeth the deep and secret things: he knoweth what is in the darkness, and the light dwelleth with him. Amos 5:18 Woe unto you that desire the day of the LORD! to what end is it for you? the day of the LORD is darkness, and not light. Zephaniah 1:15 That day is a day of wrath, a day of trouble and distress, a day of wasteness and desolation, a day of darkness and gloominess, a day of clouds and thick darkness,

Vs. 1 is an interesting thought. Some churches are built gloriously, but the people that go to worship are dirt poor. Is that really something that God is blessing? Could not a modest and clean building also be used in service to God and then additional resources be used to care for the flock? Some of the building today, are truly in vain and lack God's approval.

  • Lucinda Palestrant on Proverbs 10 - 10 years ago
Proverbs 10 discerns between the righteous and the wicked. And the true believer has the ability to discern by the evidence of how people live and speak. Ask yourself; do they contend for the faith, or speak against it, do they believe what God says in his word, or do they add their own words in vanity to his word? Test every spirit with scripture, including what I write.

John 3:36 He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life but the wrath of God abideth on him. Romans 2:8 But unto them that are contentious, and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, indignation and wrath, 5:9 Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. Ephesians 5:6 Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience. 1 Thessalonians 5:9 For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ, John 11:26 And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?

Have you never heard of a stock market correction? Is my Father's Word not antiquated but alive and true? Is the world not already in tribulation, descending into wrath of great tribulation to be hell for the proud and haughty? Can the LORD not save? Is the Spirit of CHRIST JESUS not in the flesh TODAY? Be blessed and be saved from this hell. Amen. Proverbs 15:10 Correction is grievous unto him that forsaketh the way: and he that hateth reproof shall die. 28 The heart of the righteous studieth to answer: but the mouth of the wicked poureth out evil things. 33 The fear of the LORD is the instruction of wisdom and before honour is humility. 2 John 1:7 For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist.

    Hi Mis,
I believe that he must have married his sister. And because, many times the bible does not talk ladies in genealogies, I believe Adam had daughters born to Adam. It's the simplest way I can explain it. What do think?

Re : LUCINDA PALESTRANT. In 1 John 5:7, this verse has been thrown out from the RSV bible. And its called a fabrication verse. It's been done by our scholars by the highest eminents. How this happened? The words of God have been changed in the bible, our holy books. Somebody can tell me about this? Tq
  • Lucinda Palestrant on Proverbs 7 - 10 years ago

  • Gamaliel on 2 Samuel 9 - 10 years ago
How did Mephibosheth come to this end even though he was the grandson of the king? Don't allow the cares of this world, the deceitfulness of riches and the lust of other things keep you from producing the optimum yield available to you. Realize though that even in that case we have a God King who still wants to show His kindness to us from the covenant He made with Abraham. Flow!
  • Lucinda Palestrant on Luke 18 - 10 years ago
Luke 18:8 "I tell you that he will avenge speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?"
(Interesting question to ponder, God knows who the hypocrites are, he even questions will there be any faith at all on the earth. Scary!)
  • Lucinda Palestrant on John 11 - 10 years ago
Chuck, All have sinned and fallen short of God's glory. Salvation is for all men. Why do you say, "sinners" only? Have not all men sinned, all but one.
  • Charlotte' on Deuteronomy 6 - 10 years ago
How can we possibly not love Him? He gave His Life for me and He is always there when I'm overcome by dark emotions thoughts like 4 this morning. Tnk you my Lord for being there - I do love you so much. I know that I will never be able to love You the same way You love me - but You know my heart and I do love You
  • Gamaliel on Mark 1 - 10 years ago
This book speaks of the purpose of our King. Jesus came out preaching to repent! Change your way of thinking for the Kingdom of God is here. • Lu2677 on 1 Samuel 20 - 10 years ago
David, in 1 Samuel Chapter 20; it does not say that David suggested or shot an arrow. It appears it was Jonathan's idea. It does not say that the lad was appointed to protect Jonathan. He did send him away to the city with the arrows. Some one else said,"the arrows were shot for the drama." I don't see evidence of that. can you give us scripture that proves your ideas? Thanks
  • Lu2677 on Matthew 10 - 10 years ago
Nana Nezi; You asked, " 5-15 is not necessary now that the kingdom of God has come?"
Matthew 10:5, Jesus commands his apostles not to preach to the Gentiles or the Samaritans. Matthew 10:6 "But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel." Matthew 1:15, 3:2, 10:7, 4:17. It should be apparent that 5-15 is necessary. Jesus is speaking.

Ann, I posted correction for my comment, hell was prepared for the devil.
Read Luke 12:4-5. This is Jesus warning, do you not believe him? He says he sends people to hell. Jeremiah 10:23 "O Lord I know that the way of man is not in himself: it is not in man that walketh to direct his path." Does this tell us we do not have free will? There are many more verse for this.
