I love psalm 23. It offers me hope in these perilous times. I am struggling alot with my fleshly desires, as soon as I find some peace, someone who desires me to sin contacts me
This is my first time on this site, as soon as I started to read, the enemy calls and asks me to go sin. What do I do?

Faith alone that any and all religions exist (Christianity included). How do you define faith? Is it blind faith, what happens those who do not believe? will they be deprived of the heaven? Muslim say only Muslim will go to their heavens, Christian say only Christians will go to Christian heavens, Buddhist say there is no GOD, HEAVEN OR HELL. Agnostic say there may be or may be not be.
  • Victor on Genesis 28 - 10 years ago
Where two or three are gathered, there I will be in the minst. God will chose who is worthy. The glory of knowing is to believe what God is doing in your life, now. Seek and you will find, knock and it shall be open. But remember God says: my ways are not your ways and my thoughts are not your thoughts... The word holy bible is a two edge sword... Cuts out going in... Cuts going out... Worship the Lord not what he has done, not what he is going to do. Worship God for what he is doing now in your life and know his presence. He she who can believe is free indead. Believe though this? The devil does and trembles... Fear God.. Give all your troubles to Jesus Christ the Lord and saviour and watch what the Holy Ghost will do in your life. Thank you Jesus ... GB you all.
  • Scotty the Christian on Matthew 16 - 10 years ago
We give OUR lives to God of our own free will and trust He is in control of OUR lives.God gives us all free will to choose. When we dedicate our lives,or the lives of our loved ones to God,we are trusting He knows what is best 4 them. These people that ask that,r they Christians?Have they asked God to watch over their loved ones?If not, they have no right to accuse God.If they are, then trust God.

  • Jackie on 1 Timothy 3 - 10 years ago
Catholic priests and bishops do not marry. In Orthodox Christianity for most part one cannot be a priest, unless one is married. On the other hand, their bishops do not marry. Where can one learn more on the issue of priests bishops being married or not, when was it in place, when did it cease to be in place, and all? I mean hear in the original Christian religion, namely Orthodox Christianity and its offshoot, Catholicism.
  • Mutie Moses on Proverbs 10 - 10 years ago
God's "good" may sometimes not mean good to us! was is not bitter for Noam losing two sons? How about Ruth losing dear husband... did that ever seem any good to her? Now lets see from God's mind: It was very good, indeed very good with these deaths!!!!!!! it was His brandy, grant
  • Trucker John 3:16 on Revelation 1 - 10 years ago
Seldom read commentaries because they tend to confuse me rather than clarify. Case in point, the 2nd sentence states 'epistles of John'. That is incorrect. They are epistles of Jesus ! By your reasoning, Peter should be called Mark and Paul's letters (epistles) should say Tertius ( Romans 16:21). Carelessness ? Oversight ? Either way, my confidence level is down and my 'Berean Barometer' is on full
  • Kings kid on Acts 2 - 10 years ago

  • Paul on Matthew 25 - 10 years ago
In today's time, I believe many have lost site of this one verse. Many people don't focus or can't focus on the end because they are so occupied with the current and the right now. This simple and yet powerful verse should always stay on the mind of the believers. The part that really gets me is when HE says you have been faithful ovr a "few" things. The question that comes to my mind is, Lord what are those few things that I may continue to abide in doing? Is it merely just doing what it takes to remain in your perfect will? Or is it just living holy and living completly by his words? I just wasnt to hear him say well done.

How Can I Stop Doubting Jesus?
  • Norm on Proverbs 1 - 10 years ago
Shelly, The 1611 King James translation, which took 7 years to translate is the tried Word of God. It may be profitable for you to diligently study Proverbs 1 again and Ecclesiasticus Chapter 30 in the Apocrypha. I pray God you receive His Spirit to the fullest and may He bless you richly in His instruction, His Word! Psalms 12:6 The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. Ecclesiastes 8:4 Where the word of a king is, there is power: and who may say unto him, What doest thou? Proverbs 8:33 Hear instruction, and be wise, and refuse it not. John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

  • Ben Weaver on Galatians 1 - 10 years ago
Verse 9: Let him be accursed??? In the Gr. dictionary, this Gr. word anathema; also used in 1 Cor.16:22, is presented as a compound word. Ana is defined as "thoroughly" and thema means "to lay a foundation of faith or doctrine." The word foundation in ch.3:11 is from the same Gr. root as our thema. Paul may have meant, "If anyone is wrong, thoroughly lay the foundation for new testament faith.
  • Karl on Numbers 20 - 10 years ago
responds to Jane; Fearful of a jealous God? The LORD is wrathful but also forgiving to those of a contrite heart, true repentance is the lesson we must all learn. We much approach the LORD with humble reverence, some must first learn this through wrath. Do not fear The LORD, Jane, embrace his compassion as LORD Jesus taught. Hope this helps.

1 Peter 1:3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, 4 To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you, 5 Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. 1 Peter 4:17 For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?

  • Dewey J on Judges 5 - 10 years ago
Norman, the Scripture means exactly what it says Zebulun and Naphtali were the only tribes of Israel to go up to war against GOD's enemies. The other tribes for one reason or the other didn't show up for the Lord to use them and were cursed in the end for their sin of omittion. What a pity? Glory be to God in the highest through our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ! Amen.
