Clarke's commentary was weak and unlearned as he critized bible analyst such as Wesley even tho Wesley's name was not mentioned verbatim but he does share the views that The Nose Jewels is a MISNOMER is it's correctly A JEWEL IMPRINTED UPON THE FOREHEAD and in some cases has a string of jewel that hangs over the NOSE WHICH MAKES PERFECT SENSE!! WHY?? Because the brain which is located in the same platform with the forehead IS THE MOST CRITICAL COMPONENT OF THE BODY! I DON'T AGREE with EVERYTHING that Martin Luther King taught but I do agree with is statement "A MIND IS A TERRIBLE THING TO WASTE." The Jewel upon the forehead would denote that THEIR THOUGHT PROCESS OR THEIR TRAIN OF THOUGHT IS CONVENTIONAL AND IS ON PAR WITH THE MOST HIGH'S TRAIN OF THOUGHT PROCESS!! The Most High who's real name is Yahawah Said in Isaiah 55:8-9 YOUR THOUGHTS ARE NOT MY THOUGHT AND YOUR WAYS ARE NOT MY WAYS!! IF YOUR THOUGHTS ARE NOT EFFICIENT AND WITHIN THE SAME WAVELENGTH OF THE MOST HIGH THEN YOU ARE LIKE THE PERSON WITHOUT THE JEWEL UPON THE FOREHEAD BECAUSE U ARE DEPRECIATED IN VALUE LIKE A SILVER DROSS OR REPROBATE SILVER ACCORDING TO JEREMIAH 6:30 I NEVER DID LIKE NOSE RINGS SINCE I WAS A LAH KID BECAUSE IT LOOKS SO WORLDLY. IT DOESN'T LOOK BIBLICAL AND IT HAS A CARNAL MEANING. THE JEWEL UPON A FOREHEAD HAS SPIRITUAL MEANING!! A Jewel upon the forehead in a spiritual sense can determine if you are gonna walk the NARROW ROAD WHICH ESCORTS YOU TO ETERNAL LIFE IF U KEEP HIS COMMANDMENTS!!

  • Bobbie on Matthew 5:15 - 10 years ago
what is the bushel and what is the candlestick? Romans 8 describes how we each choose to walk either after the flesh or the Spirit. The flesh conceals the manifested Glory of God and the Spirit reveals love joy peace long suffering gentleness goodness temperance and faith from which the light that shines like a lighthouse to ships in a storm we will shine so to lead others to Jesus

God sent his Son to save us from sin. He gave his Son for the sins of the world. Jesus did not die in vain. Sin separated us form God. Sin is every evil thing imaginable. God hates sin. The payment for sin is death. But Jesus laid down His Life for His Friends. God by His mercy and His love for us sent Jesus. Jesus came to do the Father's will. Should we continue in sin, knowing that Jesus died once and dyes no more? But if we sin, God is just to forgive us of our sin. 2 Chronicles 7:14 If my people, which are called by my name, will humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. will heal them The wages of sin is death. the payment of sin is death We must walk according to our calling that God has set before us. We must finish the race. Not looking back, but looking forward unto Jesus the prize that is set before us.

The differences in translation occur because most Hebrew words have more than one similar meaning apparently the discussion relates to the word that identifies exactly WHERE the wounds ARE. Some translators use the meaning 'between' while others use another meaning that is also found in the book of Job and other scriptures which means 'within'... just like Hebrew letters, MOST WORDS seem to have more than one application that often hangs on the context used, such as the word "panim" which can either mean 'face' or 'presence' and has led to heated debate about whether the Holy Word contradicts itself by quoting the Lord Yahweh to Moses saying "None may see My FACE and live..." and then stating later that there was none like Moses, who "...spoke with YHWH 'FACE TO FACE'...'" The different translations give rise to different interpretations of the meaning of scripture, and when you're speaking of prophecy it can be especially problematic. The solution? "KNOWLEDGE PUFFS UP, LOVE BUILDS UP." Since no one can be certain we file it under love and trust as one of those wonderful mysteries our Heavenly Father will reveal to us in that Day when He takes us all home for an eternal Bible study!

TOPIC: Is Your Family Alive And Well? 2King 4:24-27 24Then she saddled an **, and said to her servant, Drive, and go forward slack not thy riding for me, except I bid thee. 25 So she went and came unto the man of God to mount Carmel. And it came to pass, when the man of God saw her afar off, that he said to Gehazi his servant, Behold, yonder is that Shunammite: 26 Run now, I pray thee, to meet her, and say unto her, Is it well with thee? is it well with thy husband? is it well with the child? And she answered, It is well. 27 And when she came to the man of God to the hill, she caught him by the feet: but Gehazi came near to thrust her away. And the man of God said, Let her alone for her soul is vexed within her: and the LORD hath hid it from me, and hath not told me.

How Can a Prophet get drunk? Isnt he supposed to be perfect and clean and without sin??
  • Virgil Larson on 2 Peter 1:19 - 10 years ago
Which is it? We have also a more sure word of prophecy or So we have the prophetic word made more sure, I cannot tell since I am not a greek scholar, But I do know which one makes more sense to me, and I do appreciate that the American Standard version indicates that the words so and made are supplied suggesting to me that even the translators are not that sure. I feel it is very significant that Peter s experience at the transfiguration did not sustain him during the events of the crucifixion. . Because of his faulty understanding of prophecy Peter denied Jesus. Nicodemus on the other hand remembered the words of Jesus, the son of man must be lifted up and boldly came forward. The words of Jesus to his disciples I am telling you before it comes to pass so that when it does occur, you may believe that I am He, came true for Nicodemus. But even though the disciples on the road to Emmaus had heard that Jesus was raised from the dead, they were still deeply depressed because of a faulty understand of prophecy. So Jesus hid his identity until after he gave them a through bible study on prophecy. Luke 24:13-25. Previously Jesus taught that an understanding of prophecy will protect believers from the overwhelming deception of false teachers and false Christs who will work great sings and wonders. Our safety is in the word of God, not miracles. Matthew 24 Mark 13, Revelation 13.

Does anybody know why it says the plants trees herbs bring forth after HIS kind? I subscribe to the idea that the King James Version is the most accurate and infallible Word of God- and only today did I notice that the other versions say, "after ITS kind" or "after THEIR kind" when referring to the vegetation. What significance does this have, if any? I think it is rather curious, but I have to assume that God used the words "after HIS kind" specifically, and for a reason. Thoughts? Thank you, and God bless :

God knew what has happened, his question-Where are you? is a call of reconciliation. He displayed this thru the sacrifice of the animal in the garden to dress Adam and Evil. Today he reconciles with us thru death of Christ.
  • Dennis on Acts 2:31 - 10 years ago
Thinking about this logically answered the question for me. The penalty for sin is separation from God and eternal death. If Jesus was indeed the "firstborn from the dead" as the Bible says, and paid the price for our sin, it almost seems a heresy to preach that Jesus DIDN'T go into hell. We are told in Revelation that He has the keys to death and Hades. Where did He go to get them? But because He was MADE sin and did not commit them, He was there illegally, preached to the dead imprisoned there, and let them know He was out of there, rose from the dead, and THEN ascended to His Father. To say that He spent three days in only the Paradise half of Hades can't be right.
  • Angel Smith on Genesis 3:1 - 10 years ago
It appears that no one else has come to the conclusion that it was truly just the most sub-til of all the Lord God's beasts being the serpent who alone did the talking to Eve our mother. Why was the serpent dead set on tempting the woman? Very simple answer...he was a snake. If the devil had used the serpent to tempt our parents then it would have left no reason for the Lord God to punish the serpent by cursing him to eat dust all the days of his life. Science has proven that snakes use to have four legs to walk on. I do believe the animals could speak when first created. God made a beautiful perfect world that we have no real picture of. God is just and righteous in all of his acts. Later on in the word of God the devil is compared to the serpent that old dragon. Where was the devil during the Garden of Eden? The bible does not tell us and we don't truly know how long they lived without sin. I believe also that Adam and Eve had a home to live in and didn't sleep on the ground like the animals. They were created in God's image. Does anyone else believe they had a house? Thank you.

I am wondering if "winketh the eye" means what we now mean when we say we "turn a blind eye" to something? So that if someone sees something wrong but does not say anything could that lead to being sorry later?

  • Verlena on Jonah 4 - 10 years ago
Everything Jonah had God prepared for him. God prepared the fish. God prepared the people. God prepared the gourd. God prepared the east wind. Jonah was selfish and unforgiving. Jonah gives us a good exammple of how we should not act as christians. Many times God forgives us and show us mercy but often we don't want to forgive or show mercy to others. Bishop Brandon Porter preached a message entitled "How can we forget"? So true. How can we forget what God has done for us. God has continued to love us and forgive us so we ought to do the same. Let's not be like Jonah by being angry, when God forgives others. Hasn't God forgiven you? Yes.

I believe in the word of God and I am growing. In reading Gen 1 vs 26 - the end of the chapter, I get a bit confused about God creating man in our image...in his image, he created male and female. Help me to understand making of male and female in chapter 1 vs making man and woman in chapter 2?
  • Wesley on Matthew 24:12 - 10 years ago
I believe that because sin has increased iniquity the love of many shall wax turn cold. Why does a man or woman say to the other, "I don't love you any more, and walks off?" The person's love for their mate has gone cold because of sin. They quit serving God who is Love. Why do some women abandon a child in a dumpster, has their love turned cold because of sin? We are living in the last days. "Awaken Church, there is no one praying".

Is true that we're all human being? That's why they call us human being because we're all half animal and half human. Nobody's perfect in this world except Jesus! We will learn how to be a perfect human until we die still we won't be perfect.

If we should have sense like a dog that is in heat and seek the opposite sex, then why can't we also be like dogs and fornicate? Dogs are not "tied" to just one dog. When they are in heat they will be with any dog available. I only want to know an answer for this because I know it will come back at me when I preach it to others. I want to be prepared.

Is the carcass the Christians, the body of Christ, or is it the wicked to be judged????? Rev 6:9 And when he had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of them that were slain for the word of God, and for the testimony which they held: Rev 6:10 And they cried with a loud voice, saying, How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth? Rev 6:11 And white robes were given unto every one of them and it was said unto them, that they should rest yet for a little season, until their fellowservants also and their brethren, that should be killed as they were, should be fulfilled.
  • Hope brown on Genesis 22 - 10 years ago
In 1. Samuel 15,22 we read: "Has the LORD as much delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices As in obeying the voice of the LORD? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, And to heed than the fat of rams." That was a hard test for Abraham. Abraham knew God, he had fellowship with God and trusted him. I think God s promises to him concerning Isaac gave him confidence in obeying God. Christians in general need to have a more personal relationship with God. We need to know "Him" and the power of "HIS" might. Knowing him makes life pleasant and enjoyable. We will be tested, but not above that which we can bear.
