You all have confused me in interpreting words that Paul did not say. Paul refers to Onesimus as his son. There is no mistaking this: 10 "I beseech thee for my son Onesimus whom I have begotten in my bonds." 12 "....that is, mine own bowels." Nowhere am I reading in this chapter that Onesimus was Paul's slave, but was his SON. Acting as ones servant is entirely different. It sounds to me as if Paul begot a son while he was in bondage, this son at some point ran away, or left the fold so to speak, now he has returned a changed person and Paul is asking now that he is aged, elderly , that Onesimus be received as if he were Paul himself. How are you all interpreting the situation to be different other than what Paul said? Explain?
  • SAMUEL on Genesis 6 - 10 years ago
The spies in the Book of Joshua gave an account of giants in Canaan. Could it be there were survivors of the flood? If not where did all of this giants i.e Goliath came from? There is also a common belief that the giants after the flood were not similar to the pre flood giants in other words they are of big size but possessed no supernatural powers. Who built the pyramid and was it built before or after Moses led the Israelites out of Egypt?
  • V. V. on John 15:13 - 10 years ago
Christ came into this world to serve a purpose... deity in service to die. The crusifiction was the only natural death that fullfiled the spiritual death of the soul. To die is to gain... dying out in the flesh means to be rid of our lusts and desire to sin no more. If your eye sins... cut it out... is a parable not a comand. Committing suicide is a sin. Giving your soul to free a brother or sister in Christ from sin to save that person from eternal hell is what Christ wants. Let the supernatural type the natural and watch what God can do... What a mighty God we serve. If a friend was sinning and for me to save that person would cause me to sin would I not want to save that person's soul? Though God knows my heart and because I trust in my God... all is well. Even if my flesh body gets in the way. I am not ashamed to serve my God.

  • Emmanuel Benjamin on 2 Kings 2 - 10 years ago
Yes! Elisha had double portion of the blessings of Prophet Elijah, but Elisha lacked something in him which was the kingdom of heaven,he only demanded for the mantle, but did not want to go the way his master left to heaven through a whirlwind. And his master gave him the opportunity to ask of anything but he only asked for the mantle, then what about the kingdom Heaven?
  • Tyrek Jackson on Proverbs 6:19 - 10 years ago
Interesting right.... You see the word 'that' in italic formation... that normally mean that the word was not found in the original text... why not? Why was 'that' not found in the original text... I believe that when God speaks of a false witness, He is not making emphasis on flesh and blood but on the context and structure of the witness testimony itself... now i could be wrong but study I will do.. So here is a simplified question... what if God sees a 'false witness' as a testimony and not a person or a living being?
  • Jaala on Colossians 2:14 - 10 years ago
wow, it is obvious that too many people take God, our Creator and holy Father's Truth out of context! yes He definitely freed us of the guilt from the great Accuser. being born into sin is clearly a statement that shows who's side we are on early on in our immaturity. Jesus took away our marriage to Satan and set us free so that we are subjected unto the Father in heaven just as He is. that is not a burden but a blessing to follow after the greatest, most perfect being of all time and a promise that we are able to take after our holy Father! after all, the 10 commandments are the perfect character of God! who would ever wish to delete them aside from God's enemy, the great Accuser, Satan himself?

  • Eaglesrock on Ezekiel 37 - 10 years ago
Let me give you some revelation: There are 10,396 verses of prophecy in the Bible, everyone of them depends on Israel being a nation and Jerusalem being the capital, and the Jews being back in their land. There are 613 laws in which you know only ten. 262 of them depend on Israel rebuilding the temple. But that s the law. 27 of the Bible is bible prophesy. Every time the first coming is mention the second coming is mentioned 7 times. If you can take Israel and wipe them out, if you can take Jerusalem and divide it like President Obama wants to do, if you can take the Jewish people and push them into the Red Sea, then you have made God a liar and the Word of God a lie. Why do you think Israel is under attack by so many nations of the world? She has no Gold, she has no silver, she has no brass, she has no Iron, she has no oil, she is not on a major trade route or a sea route. She has no natural resource. Yet she is the most covenant piece of property of the world. You see the enemy wants Jerusalem, because if he can take Jerusalem the Bible is a lie, but I got news for him, let God be true and every man a liar
  • Jabreal on Acts 2:17 - 10 years ago
My dreams started when I asked God to make things clear to me so that I can understand what your trying to reveal to me. Well, need less to say he did just that. He came to me in a footprints dream, revealed to me I was pregnant 2wks later found out it was true. He came to me and said, "You are having a son and his name shall be Joseph." I didn't even know at that time the sex of my child and it to came to pass. The last thing he revealed to me was about death, and I got spooked. In the dream I was presented a black and white rose, and I knew what that meant because by this time I learned to interpret my dreams. I knew someone was going to die, I just didn't know who. I thought it was me, or at leaat someone close to me!All of my dreams in the past were always about me. I prayed for myself, and my family. A couple of days later, I received a phone call that a coworker passed away, and one of my friends delivered her baby. I was so terrified of what he had shown me, I said "father I am not ready for this. In the past you have only revealed things pertaining to my life. Now you are revealed things about other people. You didnt put a face to it is time, but next time you might. How do I tell a person, that God has revealed something about you to me." I told him.I was not ready for what he was trying to give to me, so he took it away.I should have never done that because I miss him so much. What should I do?
  • Joanie on Deuteronomy 32:43 - 10 years ago
Why would the Lord avenge the blood of His servants? Aren't we as believers, His servants? Or is this a taking payment the cross Christ for us because or blood is cursed with man's sin? Help me understand this.
  • Tom Lang (PlayGod) on Matthew 4:7 - 10 years ago
In Deuteronomy 6:16, Matthew 4:7 Luke 4::12 it is forbidden "to test the Lord" yet in 1Kings 18:19-40 that is exactly what Elijah does. If YHWH sees no problem with being tested so as to prove that he actually exists and isn't merely a myth, why don t present-day Jews Christians Muslims set up a similar test today over-seen by secular scientists. Isn't the "proof in the pudding"? Nowadays, aren't we all from Missouri "the Show Me State"? Removing the onus of Doubt from people's livings would seem a very worthwhile goal especially considering the prevalence of doubting Thomases in today's world as evidenced by Harlan Ellison's popular comment that, "No, I don't believe in God. I'm not a moron. I have to have some proof of something.
  • Brenda on 2 Samuel 1 - 10 years ago
I am confused by the confession of this Amelakite. In 1st Samuel Ch.31 verses 4-6: Saul killed himself after having been injured, and then his armourbearer did likewise after witnessing Saul's suicide. My question is: Why is this person confessing to killing Saul? How did he get his crown and his bracelet?
  • Jacob on Acts 2 - 10 years ago
Please give us the Scripture where we are commanded to ask God to fill us with the holy spirit the evidence of which is speaking in tongues. Tongues are for a sign 1 Cor 1:22. The Jews REQUIRE a sign 1 14:22. Every time tongues or languages were spoken Acts 2,10,19 Jews were present. They didn't believe the Gentiles could be saved. Acts 10:45 And they of the circumcision which believed were astonished, as many as came with Peter, because that on the Gentiles also was poured out the gift of the Holy Ghost. Peter was preaching the gospel of the Kingdom in Acts 2 to Jews see verse 2,14,22,36. They were waiting for Jesus to come back Acts 3:19-21! The kingdom was turned down with the stoning of Stephen. Notice Jesus was standing in verse 55. They rejected the Holy Ghost and Jesus saved Paul and told him to go to the Gentiles and revealed to him the mysteries that Peter wasn't aware of in Chapter 2. They get straight by chapter 15. Our church age doctrine is the Pauline epistles. We are saved by grace through faith without works Romans 4:5, Eph 2:8-9. Also if water baptism is a command, which it is, are unborn children obeying commands or is it a born again believer obeying a command to be water baptized?

  • Grant on Ecclesiastes 9:5 - 10 years ago
Wesleys explanation of this verse is so lame it make me wonder how he got the job. The dead are dead but Wesley can not come to a point of conviction. This makes it bad for the King James crowd. It makes me wonder why he didn't hold back about his explanation of Ezekiel 18:4 or Psm 146:4. Could it be he is thinking that there is a part of the dead that sur survives?

  • Word on Genesis 1 - 10 years ago
Jaume if you read Job 38vs 7 all the stars and sons of God are there and we are those stars and God was teaching Job Who really created earth and everything. Also go to Proverbs 8 vs 22 to 30 or 31 and you will see us shouting for joy again at the beautiful earth, home God created us. Isaiah 45 vs 18 will tell you God created a beautiful earth and check ou the word WAS in Gen. 1 vs 2 and you find out it translates BECAME without form and void. In Jer. 4 vs 22 to 29 tell us God got mad and flooded the whole earth. Then in Gen. We find God after He pulled us back up and then He replenished the earth with us in flesh bodies. What happen Rev. 12 and look in Matt 13 vs 36 to 44 . Read Ezekiel 28 and 31 and you find out Satan was a bad boy talking to Gods children and a third followed Satan. Now what do you do? When the first Christ comes and they say he is in the desert or they say come with us he is in the chambers! DON'T GO! When instead of Christ or Translated Antichrist is got the whole world worshipping him as Christ don't follow them stay on the house top and stay in the field doing Gods work am No that will be WAITING for the true Christ. Time was cut down to 5 months and Satan will be deceiving people 2 and 1 2 months so just pay your bills and store food and when the elect are delivered up and the Holy Spirit speaks through them you will understand why I tell you not to go with the crowd.

DESPERATE, a. L. To despair. 1. Without hope. I am desperate of obtaining her. 2. Without care of safety rash fearless of danger as a desperate man. Hence, 3. Furious, as a man in despair. 4. Hopeless despaired of lost beyond hope of recovery irretrievable irrecoverable forlorn. We speak of a desperate case of disease, desperate fortunes, a desperate situation or condition. 5. In a popular sense, great in the extreme as a desperate sot or fool. What then? ... The "heart" centre emotions gives rise to... LONELINESS : "Turn thee unto me, and have mercy upon me: for I am DESOLATE and afflicted." - Ps. 25:16 If the "heart" begets emotions, e.g. loneliness, And if the heart is "desperately wicked" hopeless incurable, Then--- This... this explains my loneliness this plain explanation---a mere 14 words in the KJV---how unexcelled in wisdom! Thy word is truth! "Alas, alas!" saith my heart. "Amen, amen."
  • BEhold the Lamb of God on 1 John 3 - 10 years ago
John madden? Behold the Lamb of God. See what He makes you in this next verse. Only He does that! Not us. And when He does you are FREE FROM SIN. Note who "made" us that and thank HIM. MADE! The "end" is written which means non negotiable for those MADE this. This information was written to them. FAITH is never doubt. BEHOLD the LAMB as John instructed, He was sent to bear witness to the true light and what did he say the Lamb does? See your end if reborn: ... Romans 6:22 But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life.
  • Callistus on Deuteronomy 18:15 - 10 years ago
Jesus is that prophet and God confirmed this during the transfiguration of Jesus on the mount but the question is,do we here Him today? do we keep his commandments? Many today have twisted his teachings to meet their their whims and caprices not minding that they are on their way to hell . Note John12:48 and Matt7:21. May God help his people who are being deceived every day. Amen
  • Stephen Whiteley on Matthew 7:1 - 10 years ago
    39. Judge not, lest ye be judged Matthew 7:1. Why is this an issue? It seems to me that another word for judgement is meaning. And meaning is only what we assign to be. We are meaning makers. And what we make meaning of, we come to believe and we are what we believe. Even more importantly, when we are judging others, we are also in the habit of judging ourselves. And when we are judging ourselves, we come to believe those self-judgements and that tells us that we are stuck. Another offshoot of judging is that it creates conflict. So you can tell there is stuckness wherever there is conflict. Judgement Conflict. Conflict Stuckness.
