Certainly private interpretation is wrong if it goes public without the noble study of the Bereans in Acts 17:11 "Now these were more noble-minded than those in Thessalonica, for they received the word with great eagerness, examining the Scriptures daily to see whether these things were so. Certainly our understanding might be wrong, but it can also be understood with God 's knowledge, if we truly believe God will answer our knock. "Ask, and it will be given to you seek, and you will find knock, and it will be opened to you. To Joe above, How does the Catholic Church, Protestant churches, or anyone for that matter, square themselves with 2 Peter 1:20? Answer: Acts 17: 11 above, but they have to be honest with themselves and not their traditional doctrines of men. After all if we understand private interpretation is wrong than why do we have one Bible and one God and have hundreds of conflicting teaching and practices if we are all following God 's Understanding Roams 16:16.

After the King had forgotten bowing down to Daniel and placing S., M. and Ab over the affairs of the province of Babylon for the interpretation of his earlier dream, he orders the trio into the fire for not worshipping the gold image he set up. Jesus is there with them and the King retrofitted again. But where and what about Daniel? What does he do the whole while, while sitting in the Gate of the King? Clearly why is he not involved when the temp goes up in the furnace? blessed be the sons of God, Amen

David is in despair of life. He 's not asking God how long am I 'm going to live, but rather Lord if you don 't intervene, I have no hope. David is looking for vindication. When wilt Thou execute judgment on them that persecute me? God is good in all that he does, however I believe God is best seen for His good in situations like David 's. There is no hope but in God, and then God shows up!

some folks believe heaven or hell, nothing else follows. Jesus spoke of tear sowed among the wheat. He also spoke of Wolves in sheep clothing and it is these who have brought shame on Christians. And it is they who have turned the world against the believers of Christ. Jesus Also said, " in vein the do worship me " Why? Because of the following of doctrines of men. Some Christians say that sodomy is just another sin but God said in Deuteronomy its an Abomination. To me that is serious! And that every one should be taking it seriously. God has told us " I have set before you this day good and evil choose the good and live, for I have on pleasure in even my enemies dying. " Please don 't stone the message or the messenger for God has given us free will choose for your self and know there is consequence 's.... With all good wishes and peace profound

I am a proud American and loved what this country stood for but regretfully i must ask the question ... how can we be so blind? is it because we live and love here? not everything is exactly literal in the Bible or these chapter 17 writings but if one is a student of the word of God he will realize under conviction that the word speaks of this America that we live in and no other place on earth. This is Babylon the great without a doubt. We have in fact intoxicated the earth with our evils. We are the beast that the whole earth wander after emulate . its sad but its true. no other country on earth commands the power and authority that we command, Vatican and England are jokes compare to the stature, riches, and evils that sadly we have succumb to.

TOO MANY OF US THATS IN THE CHURCH REALLY DO NOT KNOW THE LORD BUT JUST KNOW OF HIM! CAUSE WHEN THE STORMS OF LIFE HAPPEN A LOT OF CHURCH FOLKS TEND TO TURN BACK TO THE WORLD! WHY??? CAUSE OF NOT HAVING A RELATIONSHIP WITH THE LORD OUR SAVIOR THAT SAVED US FROM THE CURSE OF THE LAW THROUGH JESUS! DAVID WHO WROTE THIS VERSE WAS AFTER GOD 'S OWN HEART CAUSE HE NEW HOW MUCH GOD LOVED AND CARED FOR HIM NOT ONLY IN THE GOOD TIMES BUT ALSO IN THE WORSE TIMES! DAVID SEEN HOW GOD PROTECTED HIM FROM ALL HIS ENEMIES AND DAVID HAD MANY ENEMIES! DAVID ALSO SEEN HOW GREAT HIS LOVE WAS FOR HIM WHEN HE MADE SOME OF HIS BIGGEST MISTAKES IN HIS LIFE! THAT "S WHY DAVID SAID THAT GOD WAS HIS LIGHT AND HIS SALVATION CAUSE GOD MADE A DIFFERENCE IN EVERY AREA IN HIS LIFE! IF WE AS BELIEVERS TODAY WILL DRAW CLOSER TO GOD THROUGH JESUS CHRIST, GOD WILL MAKE HIMSELF KNOWN TO US IN MANY WAYS! WE CAN NOT LIVE OFF SOMEBODY ELSE FAITH, BUT WE MUST SEEK AFTER GOD IN OUR OWN HEART IF WE GOING TO MAKE IT IN THE WORLD OF SIN AND SHAME! LORD THANK U FOR BEING MY STRENGTH, MY LIGHT, AND MY SALVATION NOT BECAUSE I DESERVE IT BUT BECAUSE YOUR LOVE IS SO AMAZING!!! I PRAY OTHERS WILL TASTE YOUR LOVE BEFORE ITS TOO LATE!! ITS ALL OR NOTHING!!! AMEN! GLORY BE TO GOD!!!

JESUS was talking to satan in Judas, Judas did not submit to JESUS CHRIST as LORD SAVIOUR. To as many as recieve HIM JESUS to them gives HE the power to become Sons of GOD.

It means that Jesus requires us to be faithful, when we truly believe that He is the Messiah, and we 've confessed Him as Lord and Savior, for where or to whom can we turn to but Christ Jesus, and follow Him by the leading of the Blessed Holy Spirit, to attain or have eternal life? No one else but Him, the incarnate Son Of God.

Psalm 42, Verse 11 gives me hope and determination, because for the past 15years i have had Stroke. I am determin to get well. Next Viewing the Standard King James Version. Switch to the 1611 KJV Psalms Chapter 42 or view a Psalms 42 parallel comparison. 1 To the chief Musician, Maschil, for the sons of Korah. As the hart panteth after the water brooks, so panteth my soul after thee, O God. 2 My soul thirsteth for God, for the living God: when shall I come and appear before God? 3 My tears have been my meat day and night, while they continually say unto me, Where is thy God? 4 When I remember these things, I pour out my soul in me: for I had gone with the multitude, I went with them to the house of God, with the voice of joy and praise, with a multitude that kept holyday. 5 Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted in me? hope thou in God: for I shall yet praise him for the help of his countenance. 6 O my God, my soul is cast down within me: therefore will I remember thee from the land of Jordan, and of the Hermonites, from the hill Mizar. 7 Deep calleth unto deep at the noise of thy waterspouts: all thy waves and thy billows are gone over me. 8 Yet the LORD will command his lovingkindness in the daytime, and in the night his song shall be with me, and my prayer unto the God of my life. 9 I will say unto God my rock, Why hast thou forgotten me? why go I mourning because of the oppression of the enemy? 10 As with a sword in my bones, mine enemies reproach me while they say daily unto me, Where is thy God? 11 Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted within me? hope thou in God: for I shall yet praise him, who is the health of my countenance, and my God.
  • Matthew on Colossians 2:8 - 10 years ago
The verse is very plain and blunt, it first says, "Beware lest any man..., " it is always mankind that we are to beware of, but why? The Bible says the heart is deceitfully wicked above all things. The heart of man is full of vile imaginations, which will try to justify anything it can as long as it can. This verse also says, "spoil, " and again why? If you have a box of apples, would you keep a spoiled apple among the good ones? Of course not, so why then should the child of GOD have company among the false philosophies of this world? If a Christian is not rooted in the word of GOD, then the good fruit won 't recognize the bad fruit. But let us notice the end conclusion of the matter which discredits all the idealogies before it. "And not after Christ, " if anything in this world by any man 's words does not lean after or go towards Christ our Savior then we must beware and cast out those things from among us. Amen! Lest we be spoiled like the bad fruit, being mixed together.

Further proof from the scriptures that the Bible is relevant today. It is unlike any other book, that is the oldest, and has survived many attacks to extinguish it. Even today, when individuals read this book they are moved to make changes in their life, and dedicate themselves to God, and his will. Very powerful words are found in the Bible, and despite its age, it still has a powerful impact! Could we expect anything less from it 's author Jehovah God?
  • David on Genesis 1 - 10 years ago
God said let there be light. Does that mean light already existed and He meant let it be? Did He mean light be created? To begin? When God was with Moses in the desert, His presence was that of a cloud of light fire at night and appeared as a cloud during the day. God said the light is good. I was looking at the sun one day and there were white clouds with in the sky with it. As I looked suddenly instead of continuing to move in one direction, they started to move in opposite direction away from the sun, with the sun in between. As the white clouds moved away, then came out of the sun yellow clouds. Moving in opposite direction horizontally out of the sun. When I saw this, I suddenly felt power enter into me. Though a man suffer all his life, a man is but a blink of Gods eyes. My knowledge is not complete. I am learning continually. I wish I had all the answers and power to bring peace to the earth. But I know God knows all of what is going on in life. To me He always will be beyond my comprehension. This is what I think about. And it 's fun for me to just ponder and ponder. Well, I need to rest. Therefore I leave you. Please email me, with Love David.

  • John on 2 Thessalonians 2:3 - 10 years ago
Our gathering unto Him cannot occur until we have gathered unto Him? This makes no sense ,obviously it means the last job of the church is to identify the man of sin. Then we can be taken up, Get ready do what Jesus said!
  • Amour B on Genesis 8 - 10 years ago
Verse 22 means that there was a time when there was no seedtime and harvest, no seasons, its either cold or hot, and it 's either night or day in certain places- this was all because the ground was cursed verse 21 after the fall of Adam. Now, how could this happen in Earth? How could it be possible that there was no seasons, no day AND night, no season to plant harvest? I think its only possible, scientifically speaking, if the Earth was not tilted. Read articles and studies about if the Earth was not tilted and you 'll see that it gives a perfect description of how verse 22 can be possible. Now, on verse 8:1-2, it says that God made a wind pass the Earth then the water subsided. Now we must understand that there must be a way how God was able to do that for real. I can only come up with this explanation: how do we usually pour out water into a cup? By tilting the container. I believe that 's when God tilted the Earth. Now that the Earth was tilted, we experience day and night in one day, different seasons, and different weather. Praise God for His mercies to lift the curse He put on the ground. Otherwise, we would be living in terrible conditions all the day of our lives.

  • Ruth on Psalms 13 - 10 years ago
Whenever I "take counsel in my soul " my mind, will emotions it brings nothing but trouble. But when I remember to look to God for counsel, Who gladly gives us wisdom, James then the answer to "how long? " is however long I choose to wallow in "self ". I chose to wallow in depression for way too many years before I got my eyes off myself, and fixed them on Jesus, the author and finisher of my faith. David always comes back around to praising the God of our salvation!
  • J. Meeks on Romans 7 - 10 years ago
I believe Paul wanted to do right, but he says evil is always present. It takes me back when Jesus came out of the wilderness fasting, and satan tempted Him with stones and told Jesus if you are hungry turn these stones to bread. But Jesus stood strong and powerful and told satan man does not live by bread alone, but every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God. Paul needed that inner strength from God to keep doing the things that are right. Just like us today, we the strength of Jesus to pass up evil and lustful desires. Amen?
  • Dan on James 4:4 - 10 years ago
This verse is not saying that Christians cannot be friends with unsaved people. After all, Jesus was a friend of sinners. It is talking about allegiances and loyalties. If we care more about what the world thinks about things, ie. origins, family, gender roles, marriage, Church, government, etc. than what God says about these things, then we have chosen to side with the spirit of this world, Lucifer, than to believe what God says. It goes back to the lie that the serpent, Lucifer, sold to Eve, "Yea, hath God said "? He 's still using that line today with Christians. "Yea, did God really say this or that "? And Satan gets us to question the intentions and motives of God today by getting us to question, "Well did God really mean that? " Once we question the clear truth of the Bible, the window is then open for us to believe almost anything. Today many Christians don 't believe God made the earth in 6 literal 24 hour days, because the "scientific community " says the earth is millions of years old and we got here by chance, random, mutations over millions of years. Are we going to believe God or fallible mankind? "To be a friend of this world its motivations, thinking, beliefs, attitudes is to be against, or at odds with God ". For me it has to be, "Let God be TRUE, and every man a liar! " I have many unsaved friends, but when it comes to believing what God says, there can be no compromise.
  • Martha Prince on Exodus 31 - 10 years ago
Dewey...this is my last comment to you concerning the Sabbath. Yes, we are under a new covenant because we are no longer under the law of Moses. Christ fulfilled the law when He was crucified. However, the ten commandment law was not Moses 's law but was written with the finger of the Most High God! Why is it okay to break one of the commandments and not all? Is it okay to worship other gods, to commit adultery, dishonor out parents, to kill or to steal? Remember the Sabbath day to keep it holy was evidently just as important to God as the other commandments. Who is man no matter who that man is to decide it is okay to change God 's Sabbath?

God is a promising God. he will never leave us nor forsake us if we ask and invited the Holy Spirit into our lives. For God is love and if we put God first into our lives all things that we need will be added. If God is with us who can be againts us? Thanks be to God for his love mercy endureth forever. Amen
  • Dooshima Gbahabo on Psalms 126 - 10 years ago
This is a powerful chapter. He says our captivity will be turned to freedom. Meaning there would be a time of sadness and joy. With this assurance, why do we children of God frown when in captivity?
  • Dee on 1 Peter 1 - 10 years ago
The Holy Spirit cleanses us unto obedience because of the sprinkling of blood by knowledge, remembrance and understanding of scriptures. How? Short answer, meditate and reflect deeply on the words of the book, and the words which are Spirit and life shows how we are sanctified unto obedience. To hear and obey pleases GOD and we are changed inwardly in our minds by those reflections and revelation will not be hard to come by. Peter was Simon Peter and The LORD words changed him remember.
  • Erin on 1 Corinthians 10:13 - 10 years ago
The scriptures do not teach that God tempts us. Let God be true but every man a liar. This scripture taken in context means if we are enticed by our own desires, and are led by them into sin, God will provide a way out for us. He does not want us to sin, but reassures us that when we do, there is forgiveness for us through his Son our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.. We have died to sin, how can we live in it any longer?
  • Jacob on Acts 10 - 10 years ago
Notice they received the Holy Spirit before water baptism in verse 44. Romans 8:26 is not speaking of speaking in tongues because it says " but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which CANNOT BE UTTERED. The Church Age saint does not have to keep himself saved because God does that Eph 1:13, 4:30, 1 Corinthians 1:8 Who shall also confirm you unto the end, that ye may be blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ. If baptism is a "Command, " how are unsaved children obeying a command? An unborn child can 't obey the Fathers commands until he has been born. John 3:5 flesh is water birth. We say, her water broke. Mark 16:16 is still the gospel of the kingdom not the gospel of the grace of God. Can you drink poison and handle snakes? Acts 2:38 is to Jews see verse 5,14,22,etc. They say what must WE do? Not what must I do to be saved? Acts 16:31. Acts 22:16 says calling on the name of the Lord. Matthew 28:19 says nothing about water baptism saving anyone. The apostle never got baptized according to Acts 2:38 and all are in heaven now. It was a Jewish faith Rom 1:16 that involved signs 1Cor 1:22, 14:22. Acts transitions from Jew to Gentile, from Law to Grace. Your gospel for today is 1 Cor 15:1-4. Trust the shed blood of Jesus Christ and go to heaven. Water only gets you wet in this dispensation.
