Joshua, Pharaoh and the Egyptians were idol worshipers. It seems from Ex. 5:2 Pharaoh said "Who is the LORD, that I should obey his voice to let Israel go? I know not the Lord, neither will I let Israel go. But Pharaoh knew God or should have known him after the plague of lice when his magicians said unto him in Ex. 8:19 "this is the finger of God: and Pharaoh 's heart was hardened, and he harkened not. Glory be to God in the highest through our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. God bless us all also in the understanding of his Word. Amen!

What is the price of your testimony? David is asking God to turn away my reproach. I know from my own walk, the last thing I want, is to be a stumbling block to others. Imagine King David and the influence he had over untold numbers. His concern was in giving occasion to God 's enemies. David knew God 's judgments we good however he also knew man 's weren 't. At one point David was about to be disciplined of God and he had 3 choices, of which he chose to be disciplined by God rather than by men, for he trusted God to be more gracious in the process. 2 Samuel 24: 12-14. We are thankful for God 's forgiveness however our sinful choices will often be devastating to the lives of others and will, even forgiven, carry eternal consequences. Nothing to me is worse to hearing someone saying, " if that 's what Christianity is, I don 't want anything to do with it "!

I believe much of the bible has been construed to fit a person 's of the cloth regardless how true he maybe , Its being misconstrued to fit their being many rich and wealthy ministers use the HOLY BIBLE for this purpose self gain . They practice their stories and wisdom daily to render income onto themselves , However if they have taken the oath of poverty and maintain that live style . they are closer to the truth than those who accept the poor hopeful people money ? Service to God isn 't about wealth its about GOD and understanding the truth . Look at all the Churches proclaiming to be the true religion . Jewish were close ,then came Catholic 's who were closer ,JESUS Peter Paul ect Priests and followers of Jesus . Jesus was carpenter in early Life as was his Step Father Joseph early man . Mary was Natural mother flowing from God . The Angel of the lord came upon Mary that how Jesus was made Earthly , And we all have our Angels if we chose to use them . Look at drunken alcoholic they can be saved by faith alone Higher Powers than themselves they cannot quite alcohol without help spiritual help , God or maybe an Angel accept faith as it happens to you your life should be dedicated to Faith belief Death is coming to all of the Earthly things so believe in yourself Guilded by the real word and faith PEACE : May your friends and neighbors always respect you ! : May bad luck and misfortune always neglect you !: May the Angels always protect you ! : And may HEAVEN accept you !

Its clearly seen here that Jesus did not come to destroy the law but to fulfill. In what way? He ended the law by giving himself, thus ended completing its purpose when He cried out " It is finished ".you dont have to wait for heaven and earth to pass away then these things be fulfilled. It all fulfilled in HIM. Therefore who ever tried to uphold the law and the prophets ARE FALLEN FROM GRACE.

i believe and fear the Lord 's judgement upon me. i feel His will trying to move in me to change me for the better. i know it is wrong to tempt God for explanations... but still i am confused almost to the point of questioning God 's swinging back and forth in His decisions to give free will and not punish us till death, and then His decision to appoint a time to judge the living. i am mortal and think as a mortal. so i guess i wrongly compare how i would look as compared to how God looks in the eyes of a mortal. God seeming indecisive, flip flopping, or giving a set time and a chance for us to pull ourselves together and be kinder, more charitable, less violent and less judgmental ... but why give us all a 2000 year grace period when God is all knowing? why not judge us at the time of our first mortal sin at the time when we knew better than to commit it and we still went and committed the sin? is it because we need a lifetime to focus, control, and discipline our own minds to a point of sinlessness if that is even possible ? i guess i have to console myself that God, like any good mortal parent, gives His children room and time to improve in the hope that they equal or surpass the parent. i have to believe that God knows that this chaotic cataclysm will change the world and redirect it to one, simple, higher goal... the betterment of all of us through selfless acts.
  • Mike D on Psalms 119:36 - 10 years ago
I believe the testimonies are things God reveals about himself. David wrote in Psalms 37:25, I have been young and now I am old yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken, nor His seed begging bread. David knew God would provide any need so there was no need to preoccupy himself on the material things. Jeremiah wrote the heart is deceitful above all things and desperately wicked, who can know it? David knew all to well the struggle of the flesh. His desire was to incline his heart with God and His word to the extent covetousness would have no place to take root. Many good man have had to leave the ministry because they did not guard themselves in this area.
  • Peter Bailey on Psalms 51 - 10 years ago
In all honesty this is a powerful reading that draws one to know who God is. Jesus did not came to save men in their sins but to save them from their sins. David ask for forgiveness and he repented of it and most importantly he forsook the sin that he had committed. He did not ask forgiveness and continued in it. Like the scriptures states be ye therefore perfect even as your father in heaven is perfect. Can we live a sinless life? Yes we can. "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me " The scripture states that "all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. Remember the word said "SINNED " that is in the pass. My point here is this when one has given their lives to jesus wholly and allow him to direct their lives he will keep us from falling into sin that is why he tells us to "be ye therefore PERFECT EVEN AS YOUR FATHER IN HEAVEN IS PERFECT. That is why it states that DAVID was a man after Gods own heart.WE can be free from sin. Like Jesus tells those that came to him for healing what did he say unto them after healing them? "GO AND SIN NO MORE " WE we believe that we can live a sinless life then it will happen but if we doubt it will not happen.Gods words has bower it them, he say Go And sin no more and it is so no more no less.

Psalms 116 : 15. we are not to question God why? but this verse gave me the answers to the many questions we may ask why our beloved ones dies.it shows that eternal joy after death of our Godly beloved is far better than living longer on earth in sins. indeed this verse was a source of Hope when i lost my Dad and Mum,i know God wanted them home as victors to be with him.am grateful to God and i shall try and run a good race too. rest on DAD,MUM and my brother Junior.

I am to lay up treasures in heaven. What is going to be in heaven ? Jesus : God : Holy Spirit : God 's word : Angels : Beautiful surroundings : Love : Joy : Peace : Etc : What I receive from my Lord God in this life and what I do for Him in this life and how I conduct my manner of life in this life is what I will receive in heaven : if I do that which us evil in God 's sight here I lose reward in heaven : So I must endeavor to do that which is right !!!!

Agar born of the flesh persecuted Isaac born of the spirit . The verse ends saying- Even so it is now. Does this mean that the flesh continues to persecute the spirit even today. I would say YES. Does it have any reference to Paul 's persecution of Jesus? The flesh verses the spirit? Or am I correct on both accounts?
  • John on Genesis 4:5 - 10 years ago
The Lord sent his son Jesus to die for our sins,so he deserves the very best as a sacrifice and offering. If you have 10 of your income from a weeks pay plus offerings, bills that are tattered or torn and some that are in mint condition, which would the Lord accept in the collection bucket? That 's what 's this verse is saying here. Read the description of heaven mentioned in revelation, precious stones and pearls.

David showed us a good example by wanting to be in the house of the Lord am just blessed because after reading this verse I have been asking myself "Have I ever asked God that I want to dwell in his house for the rest of my life? " the was no. So I am blessed with David 's words that no matter what it 's better to be found in the house of the Lord in doing so we will be able to do exactly as him, thinking and everything. Amen

How many years did I spend in and out of different tombs in my life? Metaphorically speaking.. Possessed by many devils of my own. Then Jesus saved me! How good is our God! That he would even consider a lost, hell bound sinner such as I.Thank God for His mercy, grace, and love. For His mercy spared me from what I deserved... Condemnation. His grace gave me what I didn 't deserve... Salvation through the precious blood of His son Jesus Christ. All because of His unconditional love. Many devils left me the day I met Jesus. I know also that if I 'm not careful and decide to go back to fishing when things get hard for me, I may be fishing out to myself the same devils Jesus removed from me that glorious day. Praise God! To him alone be the honor and the glory for ever. Amen

i am finding this describing the anti-Christ while claiming it is Jesus Christ. is this book a doctrine of demons? 2 Esdra 13: 25 This is the meaning of the vision: Whereas thou sawest a man coming up from the midst of the sea: 32 then shall my Son be declared, whom thou sawest as a man ascending. 51 Then said I, O Lord that bearest rule, shew me this: Wherefore have I seen the man coming up from the midst of the sea? key words: ascending, and from the sea - - - - 2 Esdra 13: 32 the signs shall happen which I shewed thee before, 50 And then shall he shew them great wonders. key words: signs, wonders - - - - Revelation 17:8 The beast ... shall ascend out of the bottomless pit Revelation 13:1 And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, - - - - 2 Thessalonians 2 9 Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, - - - - Mark 13:26 26 And then shall they see the Son of man coming in the clouds with great power and glory. Revelation 1:7 7 Behold, he cometh with clouds - - - - the anti-Christ ascends from below up to earth 's surface, and he rises from the sea. Jesus descends from Heaven down to earth 's surface, He comes in the clouds, is seen in the sky not the sea. please do your own study, and pray.

God 's will is that our faith and love grows exceedingly when we give him thanks in everything we do. Also nothing should touch our lips without giving him thanks. Those who work for our Lord Jesus Christ are highly treated with love and respect, for the sake of work of the Lord. We walk worthy of God 's calling treating all people with support, comfort, kindness, and love. Paul assures the Thessalonians that we are children of the Light, and the children of the day. No one knows the time and the season but there is not concern for us when he comes. When he comes it will be without warning, but God has not appointed us to his anger. Jesus died for us. Romans 8:31-38 He who spared not his Son, but gave Him up for us all, will he not also freely give us all things? Destruction will not over takes us, because we are in Jesus! Our rejoicing and glory is in our brothers and sister whom the Lord God has saved. Knowing that the Heavenly Father has chosen us in His Son Jesus.

Bro. Daniel FC 's on Ryan Jashua Shepperd 's comment about verse 4. Part Two: Yes, we are all saved by grace only and no one can boast. In Romans chapter 7, Apostle Paul makes it clear: 7 What shall we say then? Is the law sin? God forbid. Nay, I had not known sin, but by the law: for I had not known lust, except the law had said, Thou shalt not covet. 12 Wherefore the law is holy, and the commandment holy, and just, and good . Lip service only, to God, is not going to be enough. According to Jesus Himself: Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven but he that DOES the will of my Father which is in heaven. And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work INIQUITY Matt. 7: 21, 23 . The word iniquity according to Strong s concordance has the following meanings: 1. the condition of without law 2. because ignorant of it 3. because of violating it 4. contempt and violation of law, iniquity, wickedness. Remember: We keep the Moral Law not in order to be saved, but BECAUSE WE ARE SAVED AND LOVE THE LORD. Does that make sense?

Bro. Daniel FC 's on Ryan Jashua Shepperd 's comment about verse 4: how totally impossible it is to SIN our way into heaven Hi Ryan, are you saying that keeping the Ten Commandments is sin? Last time I checked, sin is the transgression of the law 1John 3:4 : not trying to keep it. In his letter to the Galatians, Apostle Paul is talking to the new converts who were misled by those maintaining that you need to be circumcised in order to be saved. Please don t confuse the Ceremonial Laws fulfilled by Jesus and rendered obsolete with the Moral Laws, which every Christian must live by.

Marvin you need to read John 17:21 it will help you to understand the meaning on John 10:30 afterall if Jesus is praying to his father for himself, his father and his followers to be one does that make his followers god? And Isa 9:6 Jesus is called mighty god but even in the commentary of ps 83:18 on this website it calls Jehovah Almighty. Might: Great Power Almight: Complete and all power. So one is more powerful then the other Jesus is never given the title almighty.
  • Robert on 1 Corinthians 14 - 10 years ago
The answer of a few here is, can a woman preach? The Bible is quite clear on the matter. V34 is further explained in 1Tim.2:11-13. A woman is not to preach in the church. This would be usurping the authority of the man. Women can teach other women or witness to anybody, but to pastor,or preach to men is against scripture. Women can sing, give testimony,or ask for prayer in the service. So it 's basically not to take the authority from the man. It should also be the same in the family.

from 1 peter chapter 2 19 For this is thankworthy, if a man for conscience toward God endure grief, suffering wrongfully. 20 For what glory is it, if, when ye be buffeted for your faults, ye shall take it patiently? but if, when ye do well, and suffer for it, ye take it patiently, this is acceptable with God. 21 For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps: 22 Who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth: 23 Who, when he was reviled, reviled not again when he suffered, he threatened not but committed himself to him that judgeth righteously: 24 Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed. 25 For ye were as sheep going astray but are now returned unto the Shepherd and Bishop of your souls.

Did you ever ask the question why two people can look at the same verse of scripture and their understanding is completely different. One will see the truth while the other is blind to it. 1 Corinthians 2 14 helps us understand this. It states the natural man unsaved man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God, they are foolishness to him. Why is that? The verse goes on to give that answer. The things of God are spiritually discerned or understood. No matter how intelligent a person is he could never be able to discover God or the things of God without God 's intervention. Even with believers we learn line upon line truth upon truth. The psalmist knew his understanding depended upon God 's revealing the unseen treasures hidden in it.
