  • Edward Boothhe on John 15:13 - 10 years ago
What if a person was old and was about to have to be committed to a nursing home. This person had saved 450,000 dollars, and in less than seven years the nursing home would have all of that money. This person is caring for a mother and six children in Mexico and wants to put this money in trust for this family, so, rather than going into the nursing home if he took his own life so that the money would go to support this family for many, many years. Would it be a sin? Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one 's life for one 's friends. So is it a sin, or an act of great love. Would someone with more wisdom than me, please give me the answer to this

  • Eaglesrock on 1 Kings 18 - 10 years ago
Major point There shall not be dew nor rain theses years, ACCORDING TO MY WORD. According to Gods word, I just convince you to what you are seeing is not real. According to my word. It doesn t say Gods word, It says my word. The point is when you stand before God, what happens does not happen because of Gods word. It happens because of your word. Because when you stand before God, your word becomes his word. Elijah said there will be no rain because of my word. Where are the Elijah in our churches that will get up and say there will not be abortion, there will not be homosexuality, the economy is going to turn around, you will not take my family, you will not take my Son or My daughter ACCORDING TO MY WORD. Thus saith me. I declare. Why? because I have made a Stand with God.
  • Eaglesrock on 1 Kings 17 - 10 years ago
The word Elijah means the Lord who is strong. So Gods interest is to come into some bodies life, and impart to them a strength that they never had before. If you are going to talk to Ahab, you better be strong. If you are going to confront prophets of Bail you better be strong. If you are going to Pastor a church full of Backslidden people you better be strong. The word Elijah means the Lord who is strong. The word Tishbite means he who make captive. So when interpreted Elijah the Tishbite means the Lord will make you strong to hold captive the things that held you captive. By the way the Tishbite didn t belong to the inner circle of the 12 tribes. Elijah was an alien. He was an outsider. Point : God takes outsiders, that don t belong to the elite, that don t belong to the inner circle that other people would never choose, God chooses them and supernatural uses there future. Last but not the lease Elisha the Tishbite means that God reserves the right to choose whoever he wants. Now tell me if Elijah the Tishbite has a new meaning to your life now? Remember we are pattern after a process of a pattern and a power after Elijah. We need to become a specialist on Elijah.
  • Marshall Littleton on Matthew 18:10 - 10 years ago
First Jesus is talking about little chikdren here. He is talking to his deciples in answer to their question. Who wil be the greatest? We must become as a little child in humility, in innocence, in fath, hope and love. Secondly. We are not to dispise those that have become like little children by recieving Jesus Christ as a little child instead we are to learn from them and be like Jesus Christ. So we are not to despise innocent little children and we are not to desipise the least of the saints who have bern made innocent by the blood of the Lamb. For we wont even make it to Heaven unless we become like them. Indeed we are inviting Gods judgment if we offend them or despise them in our hearts.
  • Sandy on Luke 3 - 10 years ago
How come Noah, isn 't named here? His family was the only family that lived through the flood.
  • Jay Plumlee on Revelation 22:11 - 10 years ago
We are to be witnesses to the lost- not be their saviors. We are not supposed to reasoning with someone who seeks only to waste our time playing silly games with us. Jesus said "You follow me ". Did Jesus follow after those who refused to listen to wisdom? Did he chase after those who mocked God? Did Noah waste his time pleading with those who refused to get into the Ark? If he did waste his time like that... would the Ark have been built? We are to be witnesses of what we know to be true. Those we speak to must decide for themselves what is true or false. Beware of the "Time Bandits " who just want to trap you so you go nowhere.

    1. Is there some significance in the number 14? Verse 17 refers. 2. We don 't know very much about Joseph, the earthly father - we know he was a just man verse 19, we know he is a responsible man father when they lost Jesus in the temple when he was 12 Luke 2 verse 41 they looked for Jesus for 3 days before finding him. But not much more - However there is a church in upper Egypt that has a large wall mural showing Joseph with doves descending onto Joseph head.
  • John E Laster on Romans 1 - 10 years ago
Many don 't understand the scriptures that 's why we were instructed to search the scriptures to see if the spirit is talking for there are many spirits mainly the spirit of the antichrist which deceives if it were possible the very elect of God. Besides there are hidden mysteries that God reveals to only his children.Who are God 's children? Those that do his will.Even Christ himself spoke in parables. And his sheep hear his voice and a stranger they will not follow. So be careful who you listen to because the enemy is going up and down in the earth seeking whom he may devour.Don 't let him catch you away from the herd. May God richly bless you is my prayer.

  • Anthony Sims on Psalms 91:1 - 10 years ago
God is close at all times. It is we who distance ourselves with all the life 's distraction. God once answered my prayers with YES, NO, or NOT NOW. I have drawn closer to Him now and have become aware that I am always in his presence. The answer to my prayers today is, WHAT HAS THIS GOT TO DO WITH FURTHERING MY KINGDOM? The more I know God the more responsibility he expects. And he will protect me.
  • M Almeida on Wisdom of Solomon 13 - 10 years ago
This is a fantastic book that plainly sums up discipline to wisdom with riches being the resulting factor. It further talks about spiritual, intellectual and material wealth in addition to divine protection. I really loved this book and learned a lot from it. It is clear the wicked will be punished in like manner to their sins and that was a great revelation together with canivalism, child sacrifices that we are seeing today. I was doing some research on strongs and came accross sea monsters and solomon describes quite amazing beasts so I wonder what is the correlation with Leviathan if there is any?
  • John on Song of Solomon 1 - 10 years ago
I find it interesting that the women here is described as being black or perhaps blackend as this book is usually understood by Christians to illustrative Christ 's love for his bride to be, the Church. We also find that the Son of God has 'feet are like fine brass ' as described in the Rev 2:18, something often discussed by those interested in the topic of skin colour. Could it be that our Lord knew that during the latter days that the Church would consist mosty of black skinned people, as is possibly the case nowadays? This is just a thought that occured to me that I I wanted share with you, your thoughts are very welcome! God bless all

  • RNM 1-4-16-GEN on Genesis 1 - 10 years ago
GEN 1-4-16...Dewey, I seen what you posted in Rev 22, and I already responded to that. First about the trinity doctrine. It is not scriptural and in man 's mind it is like putting God in a straight jacket, it is no different than man can think or assume he has power to change God 's Holy Sabbath it is blasphemy. You are in defiance of God 's Law, so that would put you in league with the enemy of God, we do not have the mental, physical, theological neuron firing intelligence, or ecclesiastical power or otherwise to question debate, order, impose, restrict or legitimize any doctrine that is not biblical, God operates how and when He sees fit in any and all manners totally within His abilities, which I believe is limitless, He does not need anybody to question or try to assert somekind of supreme authority over Him. Who is man that we can assume such high mindedness or arrogance into the going on in GOD 's Kingdom. I am going to leave you with this scripture in Hebrews 4:8... For if Jesus had given them rest, then would he not afterward have spoken of another day. This confirms there is no other day established as the Sabbath, it remains Saturday the 7th day. GOD DOES NOT CHANGE. I pray God opens your eyes to the truth and any one else that has the eyes to see or ears to hear. PRAISE GOD AND PRAISE HIS SON. THE END IS NEAR. AMEN!!
  • Louis Lancia on Isaiah 41:27 - 10 years ago
This is my calling, so what can I say? Woe is me if I preach not the gospel...and yet for me to live is Christ and to die is gain and yet this passage is and has become more personal than could be imagined at first or at first glance....since it truly speaks of things to come but much more than things..this most precious utterance by Isaiah the prophet of God to the Jew first and this Word is designed by the only wise God...proving Himself the Author of Life again and again even with such an obscure verse hidden, and what did Jesus promise them that wait to them who look for Him a second time He will appear without sin why is it thus written since we know He who knew no sin became sin so that we can become the Righteousness of God in him...back to this verse God in His infinite wisdom looked down through the corridors of time and knew what he should do to the Jew first and here we have an amazing revelation...This man " who is the first to say behold behold them!!! why is this exciting well for one, them is the Two Witnesses of rev Ch 11.
  • A Seller of Purple on Nahum 1:9 - 10 years ago
The LORD is faithful and true. The wise will lay their burdens at His feet and trust in Him in all things. He is the great Creator and caretaker of the universe, who better to trust? certainly not the so-called leaders and wise of this world! Stay strong in the LORD my brothers and sisters in Christ and enjoy your day.
