  • Mockingbird on 1 Corinthians 6:19 - 10 years ago
Totally Amazing that Precious Holy Spirit of the living God lives on the inside of me. I do not belong to me any more and I am not allowed to do what I want to do : For I must give an account to God of all I do. Why would I subject Holy Spirit dwelling on inside of me to the filth of the fleshly desires ?
  • Grant on Deuteronomy 4:39 - 10 years ago
How do you explain three gods in one when you read Moses simple statement at the end of Deuteronomy 4:39? Does the prophet Isaiah agree with Moses at Isa 44:8? Both authors agree that Jesus is not God and affirm that there is no one else! The term "three gods in one " is not a bible teaching. After reading about his father, even Jesus knew there was no one else.
  • Shirley on Daniel 1 - 10 years ago
so why does Strongs concordance say that David 's name means Beloved? and then it say 's for Daniel, God is my Judge? Is Strong 's in Error? Because in the Bible, Daniel seems to mean "Greatly Beloved " Dan 9:23, 10:11, 10:19. Is there anywhere David called beloved by God? I couldn 't find it.
  • Tim Hobby on Romans 13 - 10 years ago
What Do You Think of Romans 13? 2 Peter 1:20,21 The Word of God interprets itself in the verse, in the context or in previous usage. If we don 't know what it means then, according to 2 Peter, it is not for our own private interpretation.
  • Bettye Graham on Susanna 1 - 10 years ago
Good story as it relates to real life situations. Thank God he hears and answers our prayers. Where can I find this story in the Holy Bible?
  • Kevin on Romans 7 - 10 years ago
I really appreciate Mark V 's reply Every sin we could possibly commit prior to receiving Christ is washed away. We live by Grace and all should be very careful when believing we have a "right " to judge another person. Only God knows the entire situation in a persons life. There are numerous examples of "good Christian families " that end in Divorce court. This is terrible for all involved - just be careful we do not add to the pain of the situation by assuming we understand all the facts. I work with a woman whose husband was an elder in the church - yet beat her - was she justified in leaving him? God will judge - not me. Paul in 1st Corinthians 7 give us the understanding we need regarding marriage. Thanks to all for your comments, I really look forward to seeing mature Christians assisting those who are asking for more understanding. Bless you all.
  • Tapiwa on John 8 - 10 years ago
the woman was caught in an act of adultery what of the man she was with? that is the first reason why the pharisees could not stone him they wr man who valued the law yet they were bribed Jesus writting is well said in Daniel 5 v 5 on the bases of John 5 v 35-39 that all the scriptures talk of Christ he was fulfilling a scripture that unto the isrealiteslwa was given yet they abused the law and did not know that which it meant. hebrews 10 v 1 the law was described by paul as a shadow of the good things to come which means it was to keep the people until the coming of the good things which is the law of grace, faith and truth which came through Christ that is why Jesus on matthew 23v23 said condemed the pharisees for valuing lighter matters of the law which included tithing yet forsaking other matters which were of much relevance, it also points out that tithing is just a lighter matter but to those who live under grace we give out of love not law tithing is smuggling the law yet the law was meantonly for the lsrealites....
  • Bozki on Luke 16 - 10 years ago

  • Anna melendez on 1 Corinthians 10 - 10 years ago
Is this referring to an addiction or a trial?
  • HABOMUGISHA EDSON on 2 Kings 5 - 10 years ago
God can use any thing as long as he sees it fit to justify the cause. Jeremiah 32:26-27, he says "Iam the God of all who have the fresh, is there anything too hard for me? water and oil are cleansers which when spiritually empowered can catalyse the healing. so the man of God knew why he was sending him to the Jordan. We should not refrain from advise from any one as long as it does not harm us and more so if it is from the man of God. Medicine is vital for man 's healing but the real metabolic final healing is from the lord but you must have faith in order to be healed. without faith you cannot receive God 's favour. I wish all of you would act like Namaan 's wife and the house girl, and the servants when it comes to guiding the poor, the sick and the needy. All we need is a broken heart ready to render to God 's service. It is unfortunate that Gehazi behaved like the some of the present day pastors who want to sell service that they have been freely given. Our lord said "Freely you have been given, freely you must give ".
  • Lorrette on Matthew 25 - 10 years ago
Good day to you, What does the noun "exchangers ' in verse 27 refers to what coul be the occupation of an exchanger?
  • Word on Revelation 1 - 10 years ago
As you see He gave the Revelation to John to give to His servants. Who are His servants? Them that work for Him to become one. First thing, read the word, learn how to be one. Many that call themselves Christians when the get to the wedding door will be told I don 't know you. How could that be? They listened to men and religions and never opened the book and thought just because they went to church and sang songs and believed a man preach they were saved. I 'll tell you this He doesn 't hear them if they are in the wrong church. There are 2 out of the 7 given and if yours is like the 5 He didn 't like your out of luck so read the word for yourselves so you can test the fruit of the church where your going and if it 's not teaching Gods word get out.
  • Laura on John 8:41 - 10 years ago
I have no theology background, but can it not mean both? I read it as an insult. They didn 't believe Jesus was who he said he was, so why would they believe the immaculate conception. It seems they had the attitude of: Who are you to teach us? You 're not a Pharisee...you don 't even know who your father is and your mom was unmarried! We 're Purebred pharisees! Is my perspective a stretch? It was no secret that Jesus was born of a virgin, but I bet it was doubted and discredited at the time back then.
  • Colleen on Job 1:6 - 10 years ago
If "sons of God " in Job 1:6 are human, how could they come to present themselves before the Lord? If God is in Heaven, or not on earth, how could humans come there to present themselves to him? Angels would have been in Heaven. Humans would have been on earth.
  • RNM 1-4-11=GEN on Genesis 1 - 10 years ago
GEN 1-4-11...child of god, are you sure your not sleeping! Before God brought the physical world into existence HE was ruling over the His realm in the Spiritual world I would assume. But it was a bit derogatory to say "was God sleeping? ". wouldn 't you say. AMEN!!
  • John on Matthew 15 - 10 years ago
This chapter has given me some difficulty, as is hard to understand how Christ himself might use such language. What I think explains this, rather than it being simply a rude outbust, is firstly he calls, likens, the lost sheep of Israel children. To me, this suggests that Christ may have deemed them as being childish, which is made more likely given that the chapter begins with His encounter with the scribes and Pharisees, whose behaviour may have appeared to Him that way and been somewhat representitive of the behaviour of Israelites. As for calling the Caanite woman a dog, we can assume He didn 't mean that she was literally a dog, as the lost sheep obviously aren 't literally children. Perhaps the Canaanites where not typically interested in the God of Israel or becoming Israelites, which I believe could have been possible given Leviticus 19:33-34 and Ezekiel 47:21-23, but were interesting in being healed, and perhaps given to being bothersome, in the way a dog might. Does anyone have any other ideas that might help me to understand about this better?
  • Child of god on Genesis 1 - 10 years ago
I wonder what was happening before Genesis. Was god sleeping?
  • Motdaugrnds on 1 Corinthians 11 - 10 years ago
Verses 29 30: "For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh damnation to himself, not discerning the Lord 's body. For this cause many are weak and sickly among you, and many sleep. " I 'ld like to better understand this. Can anyone present other Scripture that will help? The verses just before these state we must examine ourselves to make sure we are not taking the sacrement unworthily. Yet, many have a mind set that everything they do is wrong even when it may not be...as influenced by their family upbringing. We humans, also, have great skill at rationalizing everything we do so as to more easily live with outselves. I personally do not trust myself to know myself as I do, indeed, see thru a glass darkly. Yet, in order to take the sacrement referred to in these two verses...without bringing illness and disease and even death to my body...I need some help ... please.
  • Linda peavler on Jeremiah 29:10 - 10 years ago
Ths.sounds like man whom gave up in life and passed?
  • Eaglesrock on Judges 6 - 10 years ago
God shows up and He says When God showed up the Bible says that the angel of the Lord or Jesus literally showed up. Jesus came and just sat under a tree. He s looking at Gideon and He says hey! Mighty man of valor. Gideon looks around to see if there is anyone else in the wine press with him. Because he s in agreement with failure and his weaknesses. Gideon is basically saying why are you talking about me like that? I am the least of my clan. I am the least of my family. You don t even know what family I came from. Besides that , God has a banded us. We feel like nothing good is happing in our lives, that all I am is a victim. I am a victim of my past, I am a victim of my family. While God says excuse me, mighty man of valor. I want you to go in my strength. Because I will never leave you or forsake you. God is speaking to you according to your potential. Not your pass.
  • Eaglesrock on Judges 6 - 10 years ago
We see ourselves differently than God see s us When God came to Gideon, He didn t speak to Gideon s problems. He had the solutions to the problems. He didn t speak to Gideon the way Gideon thought about himself. He spoke to his potential. The devil will speak to us about our inadequacies, our weaknesses, our failures, about our pass, about or goof ups and our mess ups. Even when we get into areas we should not be in, the Holy Spirit will reveal to us or convict us and tell us that is not who you are. God will not speak to your inadequacies, our your weaknesses. God will always speak to your potential Most of the time we do not see ourselves with potential. We see our weaknesses and our inadequacies and our failures because it is the devil that brings them up all the time. My question is this, why do we believe the Devil more than we believe God? Why do we let the devil speak these things to us and then we come into agreement with it, and then don t believe what God has said about us. That is why so many of us are defeated all the time is because we don t believe what God says about us. When God shows up, Gideon is in the wine press, and he is afraid that the enemy is going to come and still his grain from him. So he s hiding, hoping that the enemy won t come, and steal from him, because he was doing something fruitful. Sometimes when some of you start getting fruitful or bless and then some you start letting the devil steal from you.
  • George Affedt on Matthew 6:10 - 10 years ago
When will thy will be done on earth? When His Kingdom comes.
  • Kathleen Sabado on 2 Samuel 14:26 - 10 years ago
1 Corithians 11:14 I can 't see any other references of having long hair being shameful on men . What makes him think this? There are several passages that, seem to me, that he just decided using his own preferance. If Jesus or rules handed down from past religious practices? Didn 't The men often have long hair? Obviously, I am not well educated on the bible. I apologize if this question is so simple it offends you. However, I have questions from time to time and the answers are important to me. Thank you for your assistance and patience.
  • Maggie Mokwena on Isaiah 61 - 10 years ago

  • Grant on John 13:3 - 10 years ago
Trinitarian Alert:Verse John 13:3 says that Jesus knew that his father had given him all authority and that he,Jesus, was from God and he was returning to God. If Jesus is God,and there is only one God and no one else Isa 45:5 , why would Jesus return to himself? There is not one agreeing scripture to substantiate Jesus returning to himself. This is because Jesus, who at John 17:3 identifies the only true God, is going to God and is not God. He is the exact reflection of God. The same image. What is that? Well, God is spirit.Phip 2:6.
  • Eaglesrocke on Joshua 18 - 10 years ago
3 And Joshua said unto the children of Israel, How long are ye slack to go to possess the land, which the LORD God of your fathers hath given you? How many of us a children of God have not yet possess his promises that he has given to us. Like Healing, Peace and Joy.
  • Ardith Shold on Isaiah 54:16 - 10 years ago
I know and i believe it is true the commentary that describes the Isaiah 54:16.Its not hard to figure out is it? God created all things and for Him and for His pleasure were they created, the word is All.I believe what John Gills commentary says it perfectly and explains it greatly don "t you?
  • Danice Edge on Luke 17:21 - 10 years ago
I agree with Roberts comments, that the spirit is in you and when gathered together within our midst among you. Could this be really talking about our spirits and not be anything physical. The Holy Spirit is 'indwelling '......so why ? Is this verse shutting down churches?
  • Robert wallander on 2 Corinthians 11 - 10 years ago
2 Cor. 11:32 33, compare this to Acts 9:23-25. How many times is Paul let down the walls of Damascus in a basket? 2 Cor is a first hand account, Paul is being chased by, In Damascus the governor under Aretas the king kept the city of the Damascenes with a garrison, desirous to apprehend me. In Acts, it is the Jews who are after him. Is this anti-Semitic!
