7 words in the Hebrew. 7 stands for perfection. You can not improve on perfection. The sun the moon the stars would not be created until three days later then Adam on the sixth day. There is a pattern being set here. Exo.20:11 This pattern is that man would work six days and rest on the Sabbath. The Sabbath is a type of the Kingdom which all those who will believe ALL that the prophets have spoken will receive very soon. The reason that Satan know the time is short is because this pattern is not messed up in Satan 's mind. Adam was created just over 6018 years ago according to the generations listed in Genesis 5 11 and then in Matt.1 and Luke 3. We are running on overtime this is the mercy of our loving heavenly Father waiting on His children to come to perfection as the Messiah told us to do in Matt.5:48. So what is your excuse?
  • Billy Davis on Genesis 1:19 - 11 years ago
Make one wonder what part of the 4th day it is that folks refuse to believe? According to this there was no sun for the earth to be revolving around those first three days. This is why we read what we do in Joshua 10:12-14.

Mark 10:46-52 Blind Bartimaeus could not see, but he could hear. He taught us to use what we have. He used his voice, ears and legs. As he heard Jesus passing by, he shouted out: "Jesus, have mercy on me ". He was then told by others to shut up, but he cried out to Jesus even louder. Clearly, you see that sometimes we have to ignore some people and remain consistent and persistent to achieve what we want. I notice that Bartimaeus was begging for money, but when Jesus asked him what He could do for him,, he asked that he may received his sight. In other words, he asked Jesus to teach him how to fish instead of giving him a fish. He thought to himself: a if I could see I would not need to beg. b If I could see I can and will follow Jesus by myself in which he did. What would you do if Jesus grants you your hearts desire today?
  • Marilyn Turner on Genesis 1:5 - 11 years ago
Light was created first here. God named it day. Christ said, "Are there not twelve hours in a day? " So we have a day created here, what comes after day, I would say evening, then morning...day one! The rest is history!

see the context of this verse-matt.15:24. she was a Canaanite woman-a gentile. Christ compares her to a dog.but see her faith in a jewish-chtist. did he see such faith in Israel? same matthew who wrote this text, also wrote chapter-1. the lineage of Christ.tamar-a Canaanite, rahab a canaatite, ruth was a Moabite, Bathsheba-uriahs wife- a Hittite. all these gentile women stepped into the messianic line. this is the true nature of kingdom of chtist.everything Christ said had deep , hidden meaning.only the holy spirit can reveal this to us.me,a gentile, go on my knees and say- my LORD AND MY GOD.

Does the word teach us Jesus will return in a flame of fire or on a white horse?
  • Oumar on Matthew 15:24 - 11 years ago
Lets face it ,this verse spoken by Jesus is crystal clear isn 't it , Christ is saying that He was sent only to the people of -where- who - the children of Jacob better known as Israel and who were the children of , you guessed it the Jews. These people were so rebellious that TheAlmighty sent prophets upon prophets to give them guidance. And even on to this day they continue in their way to cause rebellion. The ironic thing about this is that one of his deciples is telling the world this , of what he himself said . But the Christian world is denying that he said this . putting words in his mouth just because you wants it your way does not makes it the truth.if your name is Mr White and I go telling the world that you are Mr Black would I be right? this JESUS as was not sent to for all mankind simply put.

Who is God talking to when he says "let us make man in OUR meaning more than one of image. Is it other gods? And then made man in his OWN image. So naturally man would take after him rather than who he is talking to. Also he says to man to REPLENISH meaning FILL AGAIN the earth. Does than mean man was here before?

It doesn't make sense if you believe in a Post Tribulation Rapture, to be caught up in the air with Christ just to turn around and come back down?

When all were gathered, the question was asked of Jesus, are you preparing to restore Israel as a Kingdom?
  • Lyle on Matthew 5:17 - 11 years ago
Mat. 5:17 "Think not that I am come to destroy the law or the Prophets. I am not come to destroy, but to fulfill. " Read verse 17 in context. I suggest that the term, "but to fulfill " means: 'to fill the law fuller. ' Verse 19, Does a person really want to teach that the law including the ten commandments see Deut. 5, and 6:1 in context can be ignored and subsequently broken? Doesn 't Mat. 5:27 fill up the law of adultery fuller? Mat. 5:33 fills out the Law about swearing, right? Mat. 5:38 enhances the Law "an eye for an eye, " doesn 't it? And Jesus ' Yahshua 's testimony goes on and on filling up The Law more fully. Take the fifth Commandment, for example just because Jesus obeyed and honored his parents fully, and earned the prolongation of "his days, " doesn 't mean we can disobey and dishonor our parents without penalty.

  • Charles Allen on Psalms 12:5 - 11 years ago
ll I need to say about the poor and needy is strictly based on the True Living Word of God Almighty. Any person, no matter who or what he or she claims to be, that shuts their ears to any person who is poor and needy, is no Christian at all. Such a person is seen by God as a merciless oppressor, cruel and wicked, which will not inherit the Kingdom of God. As like Matthew 25 v 31 to 46, there are many Scriptures in God 's Living Word which confirms the truth of this. Pass any beggar or a homeless person on the street, while you have sufficient to give, then you are passing the mercy of God by rejecting to love thy neighbour as thyself. Those who do this evil cruelty must know that God will give them what they deserve, and that is eternal punishment. Who knows? Maybe such a person may just be passing one of God 's Angels He sent in the form of a beggar so to test the heart of a so called Christian. This is not impossible, so to all you rich Christians beware, God knows and sees all.

Verse 24 "Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me. " is the verse I 'm wanting to better understand. I know Jesus died on the cross for my sins. Thus, can anyone provide Scripture that will define what this "...take up his cross... " means in this verse?
  • Elijah on Matthew 10 - 11 years ago
"And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me. " Taking up a cross is for crucifying the flesh. Paul has said "O wretched man that I am! Who shall deliver me from the body of this death? " He was talking about the struggle he and all born again believers deal with when it comes to wanting to do God 's will, but our flesh wants to fulfill the lusts of the old us that we are to deny daily. Things such as lasciviousness, pride, covetousness, rage, etc. To take up your cross is to seek and fulfill God 's will and not your own. To go without for righteousness sake, to make of yourself of no reputation, to keep God 's commandments instead of giving into sinful pleasure, to keep yourself from being corrupted by the things and people of this present evil generation. Christ lived a life of self denial, lowliness, affliction, temptation, living for others and bearing their burdens. He lived for the glory and approval of God and not of man. We are to do the same. It is by no means easy, but rely on his strength and take heart, for he that is in you is greater and has overcome the world. 2 Timothy 2:12 says "If we suffer, we shall also reign with him: " Those that are disciples inwardly and not just outwardly are the ones that are approved of God. Philippians 3:8 1 Corinthians 15:31 Romans 8:18 Philippians 2:4-7 Ephesians 2:3 1 Peter 4:2

It is true that Jesus stated it clear what to mix with what, but dearly beloved, about tithe...... we are there was only a change in the law. The change is this, that we pay tithe to the 'in-charge. The new testament did not close the chapter of paying tithe entirely, it only changed the fact that tithe was paid only to the Levites. But according to Hebrews 7: 5 - 17.. So, tithe is not ended...

I 'd like to better understand verse 38, "And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me. " Can anyone direct me to another part of Scripture that explains this in depth? What I 'm thinking it means is that we should acknowledge our sins as we continue to strive to correct them. I 'm also thinking this may mean any physical ailments we are dealing with and, despite the problems these cause us, we continue to follow. I would appreciate Scriptural references to help me understand.
  • Mathew on 2 Thessalonians 2 - 11 years ago
Brian good point, and if it is referring to our bodies being the temple of God, than that which sits in the temple of God must be that "spirit of anti-christ " which is spoken of. It will be a possessing spirit in us that wants to control and have allegiance. It is egoic, that is self-centered demanding worship. So this "self " is mind-made, not realistic, not loving and sensitive to others. This egoic self will deny the "oneness " of all beings and the "Source " of all beings, which is God. It takes "pleasure in unrighteousness " because to be so, is to validate itself and give it the illusion of greatness. So the "truth " will entail denying this false self, crucifing this false self, seeing reality for what it is, and making God sit on the throne of one 's life instead of this false self. That 's a glimpse of how I see it if the body is to be taken as the temple of God, as is mentioned by Paul in I Corinthians 3:16-19 "Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are. Let no man deceive himself. If any man among you seemeth to be wise in this world, let him become a fool, that he may be wise. For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, He taketh the wise in their own craftiness. "

  • Ivania Adams on John 1:21 - 11 years ago
It amazes me their questions to John. They didn 't believe in the resurrection, yet they were testing John to examine every single word. Even in the last days we are living in, we have the Word of God, yet many questions, could this be possible that prophecies from the Bible are happening right in front of our eyes? And for those, who did not believe Jesus was the Messiah, might still be wondering, could this be signs of the Messiah coming to establish the kingdom? I believe because of people 's ignorance, Jesus will come to take His bride, and the remaining left will still be wondering, could that had been Elijah? Could that had been the prophet? Let 's pray for the Word of God to reach the hearts of the unbelievers and through the Holy Spirit may reveal through their hearts Jesus is, was and is to come! Amen!
  • Jacques on Luke 24 - 11 years ago
Jesus answered them with two words and a question mark: "What Things? " Many times your blessings are disguised. Jesus wanted to find why they were more mindful of his suffering more. Jesus said O fools don 't you know when they put stripes on my back cancer can 't hold you. Suffering these things in Victory before you have the Victory. You gotta be Strong enough to wait for the Victory. Suffer Well and when you suffer shake it off. When something is taken stolen from you say "I came in this world naked and I 'll return the same way. " Someone gotta lie on you. Quit politicing if they don 't like you they don 't like The God you serve. These things have to be fulfilled. II Corinthians 4:17 For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory Jesus minimized His suffering. What things? I couldn 't have what I do unless I went through. If my life means your Deliverance, comeon with it. Im willing to go through so you can get Deliverance.
  • Benjosy on Revelation 18 - 11 years ago
Whenever it is that they are saying: Peace and security! then sudden destruction is to be instantly upon them. The destruction begins with the attack against all false religion in the world. The Bible calls false religion Babylon the Great, or the harlot. Revelation 17:5, 6, 15 That attack against all false religion, including Christendom, is the beginning of the great tribulation. Matthew 24:21 2 Thessalonians 2:8 Many people will be surprised when this happens. Why? Because until that time, the harlot will think that she is a queen who will never see mourning. She thinks that nothing bad will happen to her. But she will suddenly find out that she has made a mistake. She will be destroyed very quickly, as if in one day. Revelation 18:7, 8.
  • Nathan on Revelation 1 - 11 years ago
What is the difference between the false christ, and the true Christ? 1 Thessalonians 4:17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. 2 Peter 3:10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. Luke 21:8 And he said, Take heed that ye be not deceived: for many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ and the time draweth near: go ye not therefore after them. The Lord will come as a thief in the night, meaning no one will know the exact time, but when He comes, every eye shall see Him. Not in the wilderness or in the secret place, but in the Sky, He will not set foot upon the earth. Every eye shall see Him, not on a TV but in person.

My take from this, we should prepare our Sabbath meals the day before.so then it is wrong to cook dinner on Sunday? It would also be wrong to eat out,as so many families do after church, because we are causing other people to work to prepare our meals. Am I seeing this right?
  • Mike D on Luke 24:45 - 11 years ago
verse 45 is a great doctrinal truth on understanding Scripture. A man may be a genius having all knowledge of the things of this world and completely miss the understanding of Scripture. Keep in mind that eleven in this room spent 3 years with the very Son of God and they missed it. Verse 45 states Jesus opened their understanding , that they might understand.1 Cor:2:14 states that the natural man, or better unsaved man, receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness to him: neither can he know them, that is the things of God, because they are spiritually discerned, or understood. When ever you see an attack on the Bible it is a clear declaration the person or persons trying to debunk it is not a Christian. They will always set themselves up as some authority reducing the Bible to men written literature at best.2 Timothy3:16 states all Scripture is given by inspiration of God. No wiggle room there. It is God breathed. I like what the prophet Jeremiah said in chapter 8:9, the wise men are ashamed, they are dismayed and taken, lo they have rejected the Word of the Lord and what wisdom is in them?

The scripture is saying, How many believe the report of God concerning JESUS CHRIST and his finished work on the cross. Is our faith based on what God has said? Or on what the world says?
  • Cynthia Pounsel on Romans 8:35 - 11 years ago
I feel like no matter what I 'm going through or dealing with as a child of God, I will not let nothing seperate me from the love of Christ.I know that the devil come to steal, kill, us from God love but he is a liar from hell and the truth is not in him. Because the bible tell us that nothing can seperate us from the love of Christ. And if God be for us, who can be against us? He will not let these things seperate us from his love. We are in his protection. Remember long as we are in this present world we will have trials and tribulations the devil are trying to do whatever he can to bring us down but we will not let these things seperate us and apostles paul name all of these thing out before and said that nothing shall seperate us from the love of Christ. You know what? it can 't seperate us. In all of these things We are more than conquerors through him that loved us.
