  • Jacob on Acts 8 - 11 years ago
Isn 't it amazing that people wrest the scriptures to their own destruction. The eunuch believed with his heart. Look at Romans 6:17 But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed FROM THE HEART that form of doctrine which was delivered you. How did he obey? HE was reading Isaiah and look at Romans 10:16 But they have not all OBEYED the gospel. For Esaias saith, Lord, who hath BELIEVED our report? In the Church Age believing the gospel is obeying what God requires for salvation. Look at Romans 16:26 But now is made manifest, and by the scriptures of the prophets, according to the commandment of the everlasting God, made known to all nations for the OBEDIENCE OF FAITH Water baptism doesn 't connect you with the blood or anything of the kind. It 's not part of our Gospel for today. Show us a passage stating that the disciples were water baptized according to Acts 2:38 or any other water baptism. The eunuch was water baptized AFTER he was saved not in order to get saved and not part of his salvation. Salvation today is not of WORKS, Romans 4:5.
  • Dilbert on Deuteronomy 23:2 - 11 years ago
Gone to Hell before i was even born what do you think? Christ Jesus died for everyone, including you so that people may not go to hell. Although the Old Testament laws have their reason that being laws set forth for obedience , so us long as one rest upon the Gospel of Christ for salvation, you will be saved and not go to hell.
  • Gregory on Proverbs 12:10 - 11 years ago
It seems to say that good men and women love animals, especially pets. Which begs the question: is there a difference between an animal say a herd of sheep and a pet personal dog, cat, hampster, etc. ? I 've had more than 10 pets in my life, but six stand out. three dogs and three cats . With each of them, especially my male Norwegian Elkhound, I felt a definite, deep connection. There was an inexplicable bond in my soul with these six animals pets. Heaven will be lacking for me if I don 't find them there when I arrive.
  • Larry Busdriver on Luke 6:35 - 11 years ago
Who can do this? He said to turn the other cheek, but it is not in our nature. It is very hard for us. He says, My yoke is easy... but wouldn 't you like to be able to be this kind of person? Would not the whole world be a better place? If you hate your life, don 't kill yourself... These are the very people who need to let Him help. So let Him help you. For this very reason you are able.
  • Forest Brooks Hall on Jeremiah 44 - 11 years ago
I think these verses are good for the day they were spoken as well as for today, as today 's people turn their backs on God-Christ and kill their unborn not because it is the law which makes it okay, but because it is in their hearts to do evil in the sight of their Maker. Further more, the evil government which has promoted the laws by which this country lives by has developed into an evil ruling party to not only pass such a law to approved such a crime against God-Christ, but to tax the people for monies to help pay for their crimes. There will come a rebellion against this form of government, possibility during my lifetime or that of my children 's time and it will be good against evil...hopefully I and my family will be of the warriors descending from above with our King! However, I disagree with how the commentary make the statement that "whatever evil comes upon us it is because we have sinned against the Lord " evil came upon Job and he was righteous before God. It is true that the sinner will have God 's wrath to come upon him, but Satan can plague us even when we live for God, or have I misunderstood His Word?
  • J. van Buiten on 1 Thessalonians 4 - 11 years ago
WHO WILL LISTEN ? There are at least 5 differences quoted in scripture between the Rapture and The second coming of YESHUA so be happy that these are separate events.
  • Joni G on Romans 2 - 11 years ago
Christians everywhere worship Jesus Christ on Sunday, Savior, King, and friend who sits at the right if God the Father. Christians don 't worship the day of Sunday but it seems like you are making Saturday an idol, RNM. The Sabbath was for the Jews, alone. We were made to glorify God not a day. We do need to set aside that day for primarily worship. These days in the world, you see many businesses open on Sunday. Why? For money. Where is their faith? In Mark 2:27, Jesus says the Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath. You are making the sabbath a god. That is wrong. It is cultish. Acts 20:7,When the disciples worshipped on the first day of the week, they had communion with unleavened bread, from the greek word azumos. Not apros, necessary food as you suggest.

  • Motdaugrnds on 1 Peter 4 - 11 years ago
I 'm unclear. I do know it is best to take care of self so as not to be a burden on others yet is this taking care of self sinful because it has to do with actual survival in this world? Can one walk in harmony with God 's will while being as self-sufficient on a farm as possible? Seems I daily walk by faith as I struggle just to survive, i.e. to physically do what needs to be done on the farm just to put bread on the table and keep the bills paid. Herein is where I need spiritual "meat " to guide my existence. I 'm past the time for "milk "!
  • Lady on Numbers 23:19 - 11 years ago
It shall be accomplished. What is IT? The word. you will have what you say. Amen
  • Jacob on John 3 - 11 years ago
The thief died under the new testament. Heb 9:17For a testament is of force AFTER MEN ARE DEAD: Now look at John 19:33 But when they came to Jesus, and saw that He was DEAD ALREADY, they brake not His legs: He died before the thief thus placing him under the new testament. Jesus was preaching a different gospel than that revealed to Paul. Matt 10:5 These twelve Jesus sent forth, and commanded them, saying, GO NOT INTO THE WAY OF THE GENTILES, verse 7 says, preach, saying, The Kingdom of Heaven is at hand. 8 Heal the sick. Do you preach the Kingdom of Heaven and heal the sick? The kingdom was turned down and Jesus sent Paul to the Gentiles Acts 9:15, Rom 11:13, etc. You are not saved by water baptism but Spirit baptism of 1 Cor 12:13. You do not DRINK the water in the baptistery. The Holy Spirit comes into the inside of you to live 1COR 6:19! Then seals you Eph 1:13. Please get saved today if you are trusting water to get you to Heaven.

I do not have any problem with this book and wonder why was it deleted. Maybe because of the name Dragon?
  • Word on Revelation 1 - 11 years ago
Joni what happen in 70 A.D. is religious talk or preacher 's stories. What is going to happen at the 7th trump is the distruction that is going to take place where no stone will be upon another. Right now we still have stones that are 40 foot long that are still there and much of Jerusalem still stands. That little General that burned and ramsacked Jerusalem is nothing compared to what will happen when Christ returns. That is misleading when you say Christ is coming. Which Christ are you going to follow? The first one who is going to deceive the whole world or the second ONE who is going to destroy Jerusalem and burn all the evil rudiments off the earth.
  • Motdaugrnds on James 4 - 11 years ago
Verse 3: "Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts. " I 'm struggling with this due to my situation. Is asking for what one needs to physically survive asking amiss? I asked for help getting mother on a piece of land and a stranger gave me a trailer house which did, indeed, get us on the land. I asked for help slaughtering goats to put in the freezer for next year 's meat and a stranger came and did the part of all this I was physically unable to do. My trailer is old and the wiring is going bad. I 've no money for this. Is asking for help to get this fixed asking "amiss "? I truly do not know what is ok and what isn 't as I keep telling myself I 'm superwoman and can do .... when at my age I know I cannot. Thus, understanding all this is a spiritual struggle at this time.
  • Larry Ely on Genesis 27 - 11 years ago
I cannot quite agree with the above comment about "self-control ", etc. First, Esau sold his birthright for a meal, true, but the narrative makes it clear that he wasn 't just a little hungry, his starvation was life threatening, perhaps 25:32 . So Jacob, pressing his advantage, says in effect, OK, I 'll save your life for a price. Not exactly the loving brother. And as to the trickery and deceit in stealing the blessing intended for Esau, well Jacob was wise as a serpent, but I will not comment on the gentle as a dove part. It is interesting the belief about blessing illustrated here. In his heart, Isaac was blessing Esau he believed it was Esau, and Jacob lied and said he was Esau, so how was Isaac NOT blessing Esau? And of this blessing business, is it implicit here that God somehow is obliged to bring to pass what is promised in the blessing? Then, would omnipotent and omniscient God be obliged to honor a blessing stolen through fraud and deceit? The story, I believe, is rich in the beliefs of a bygone time, and in human nature, which hasn 't changed at all since then. The mother who schemes to defraud her husband to the advantage of her favorite son, the envy of the younger son and his schemes against his slightly older--and perhaps not too bright--brother. The love hate of fraternal twins. And the petty schemes and dreams of all of these very human sinners somehow coming together to advance the Plan of God Almighty.
  • Bryan on Luke 20:38 - 11 years ago
why is it that the king James can put the "a " to have it say "a god " here but not have it in John 1:1 for the same Greek word and sentence structure?
  • Robbie on Revelation 13 - 11 years ago
The pope is not the beast. Remember everyone knows the prophecy. There will be many antiChrist Like it tells us, many people will be deceived. Why? Because they will play it like a hollywood movie. Have a fall guy to take the fall, someone who all eyes are on, meanwhile the real beast will came along and suck people in as they think the prophecy is for filled already. Remember the have lasers now that can make a very realistic light show, they can make a movie in the sky that looks so real.
  • Hughman on Deuteronomy 7 - 11 years ago
Who, or what prophet wrote the book of Deuteronomy?
  • Dennis on Acts 5 - 11 years ago
Isn 't it best to take all Scripture at "face value? " In reading many of these comments it seems easy to discern the writer 's bias, which we are warned against. The Spirit isn 't trying to make it difficult for us to understand but rather He is making truth simple and available for all. Still, It comes down to, "As many as the Lord out God shall call. "
  • Susan Liang on John 14:15 - 11 years ago
Can one be saved by faith yet disobey the 5th commandment which teaches love of one 's neighbors by teaching first the5th commandment, still be saved? I believe so. I also believe generally speaking that Jesus ' s last words just before he said "It is finished " -- to John, "Behold, your mother " to His mother, "Behold, your son " is the fruit He wants to see from believers fruit of the first commandment of the two that sum up the ten is obedience to His commandments . So when I hear in bible study, a believer who wants to accept the call of God to leave on mission, leaving his 75 year old father behind for 3 years-- I say this believer may be saved, but he is "doing corban " - replacing care of one 's elderly parents - with an ostensible call to mission.
  • Sophia on 1 Corinthians 14 - 11 years ago
But in Genesis 11 chapter 7 th verse --come let us go down and confuse their language---here God was also with Jesus and Holy spirit. Then why did he say those words? Even if men wanted to built a tower which can reach Heavens they can 't reach the real skies. Then how to understand all this?
  • Motdaugrnds on Colossians 4 - 11 years ago
...continuous prayer? When we are ever aware of our spiritual connection with the Father thru Jesus ' intercession and the Holy Ghost, there is not always a need for words. Our very existence fulfills this prayer state of being.
  • Motdaugrnds on Philippians 1 - 11 years ago
This world is so difficult to live in and I long to be gone from it and be with my Lord and Savour Jesus Christ. Yet, we who live have a purpose and, whatever that purpose is, it must be fulfilled! ... A witness for Christ 's love: The devil tried to kill me once many years ago by hitting my temple very, very hard with something yet my temple itched and my hand got in the way of the blow while scratching it. Another attempt was when my son rolled the pickup during a storm, caving in the cab. When I realized we were going to crash, I laid down in the seat and literally went to sleep. At the hospital the doctor came in shaking his head while stating, "I don 't believe it. I just don 't believe it. I saw the accident report and how bad it was yet here you are with only a severely bruised heart and a broken back bone does not even require casting. I just don 't believe it. " With a smile I told the doctor, "That is because we have a heavenly Father looking out for us. " Then this doctor said something I shall not forget, "Then He must have something very special in mind for you two. " My son had minor bruises. The conclusion? We who love the Lord Jesus are in this world for a reason and happiness is in realizing this and accepting the task given when it arrives.
  • Jesse M Rodriguez on Psalms 42:2 - 11 years ago
It got me to think, can I ask God for thirst and hunger towards Him?If so, what kind of relationship do I have if I have to ask?
  • Motdaugrnds on Ephesians 2 - 11 years ago
Ron, God indeed forgives us our sins. This does not mean we are without a sinful nature. This old world continuously invites us to follow the ways of our flesh and sometimes it seems we need to do this just to survive thus, we give into such temptation. It is not an easy road to travel spiritually when living in such a world. However, we can get the strength from God that we need to follow the guidance of the Holy Spirit and overcome our sinful nature...step by step. God sees our hearts, knows our minds and has already given us the victory thru His Son, Jesus. This does not mean we have nothing to do because He, also, gave us free-will. We make DAILY choices that can strengthen us spiritually or weaken us spiritually. So, in answer to your question, i.e. "If Christ died for all my sins, how many do I have left to repent of? " THOSE WE CONTINUE TO HOLD ONTO.
  • Gina on Deuteronomy 7:9 - 11 years ago
At the end of Deuteronomy 7 9 it says keep his commandments for a thousand generations. How long is that? Could it mean that 's when Jesus is coming back?
  • Ron on Genesis 3 - 11 years ago
Paul says in Timothy the woman was first in transgression, but Adam also took and did eat at the hand of Eve. You know we have all sinned and come short of our all mighty God. Do you think God would have given Adam another wife? Second question, don 't you think God knows before it took place? We have an all knowing and all loving God. Even at the Garden, there was a Law. Satin got cast out of heaven because he transgressed God 's law. At that time Jesus expressed it as a law of Love. But at Siani it needed to be etched in stone with Gods own Finger. Do you think this is a stretch?
