Kevin 1st Corinthians 12:14 states, "For the body is not one member, but many. " This is talking of the diversified gifts that are of ONE AND THE SAME SPIRIT. It does not refer specifically to speech. And I could not find where Peter was mentioned here. chapter 14 does talk about "unknown tongue " yet seems to refer strictly to the Holy Spirit 's utterances in our behalf. It also states "He that speaketh in an unknown tongue edifieth himself...speaketh not unto men, but unto God. " This seems to be confirmed in Romans 8:26. Thus, what I 'm hearing here appears to fit with my understanding , that what some people are calling "speaking in tongues " and doing so openly in front of admirers are NOT what this Scripture is talking about. Am I wrong?
  • Phyllis Mitchell on Acts 19 - 11 years ago

  • Al on Luke 8:31 - 11 years ago
When we cast out demons they should be cast into the abyss, bottomless pit...never to return again. God will deal with them in the end.

  • Sound doctrine on John 5:40 - 11 years ago
John 5:40 And ye will not come to me, that ye might have life. People almost always are too complacent, because they cherish the illusion that when things start to go bad, they will have time to extricate themselves It never works that way. Events move much faster than anyone expects... History usually doesn t evolve in a slow and orderly way often it leaps forward in disorderly, chaotic jumps. Luke 13 4 Or those eighteen, upon whom the tower in Siloam fell, and slew them, think ye that they were sinners above all men that dwelt in Jerusalem? 5 I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish. no one of those eigteen woke up knowing they were going to die in the tower.
  • Joni G on Romans 2 - 11 years ago
RNM, why are you not talking about the Love of God? Jesus is Lord of the sabbath, which means rest. RNM, your vitrolic statements don 't show the love of God. You are obsessed with the 7th day. Why? I am defending first century Christians, not any other church. You are defending a church belief, not the Bible. Isaiah is talking about the new heaven and new earth and worshipping God on the day of rest, not Saturday. Why do you resist the truth? I gave you scriptures about the first day of the week worship a month ago. We follow the first century Christians, not the Jews who worship on Saturday. God bless you RNM.
  • John Yekorogha on Psalms 91 - 11 years ago
Who 's report shall you believe?I shall believe the report of the Lord ' So goes my favourite song. I relate this to the last line of psalm 91 verse 4: His truth shall be thy shield and buckler. When thoughts of fear, lack and sickness invade my mind, I reject them based on His report which says I am well, rich and protected.
  • Stan on Exodus 20 - 11 years ago
IF Exodus 20:13 "Thou shalt not kill. " is wrong, then how many other errors are in the Holy Bible? There are 134 occurrences of "Kill ", and 17 occurrences of 17 and 137 occurrences of slay in the Old Testament. IF the translation of "kill " in Exodus 20:13 should have been "murder ", then why are there occurrences of both Kill and Murder in the Old Testament?
  • Grant on Genesis 1 - 11 years ago

  • Olabode on Isaiah 55:6 - 11 years ago
who knows when God will be found? Who knows when God is near? God can be found every where, anytime. What we need to do is for us to draw closer to Him always by not postponing our salvation.

I am Seventh Day Adventist and the fourth commandment seems to be the hardest for most peopel to believe. Most will attempt to explain it away or ask how do you know the caledars are correct? I have no comment for that type of questioning because God 's word is very clear.
  • Robbie on Revelation 17 - 11 years ago
The catholic church has got it all wrong. Why do they have a confessions booth? why get people to ask a priest to forgive you, then he says God forgives you. They just totally deny Jesus when he said confess all your sins to me and I will forgive you. Jesus never said after he leaves the earth he will pass the responsibility onto man. Also faith is spiritual as its pointed out so many times in the bible. Faith is not holding onto a cross, praying to a statue of Many or Jesus. These are the very things he hates. If you lack faith, expose all the lies of the world and you will see more clearly. This world has lied to so many. Do not keep 25th Dec holiday, its a pagan holiday not when he died, also read Job the man perfect in the eyes of God. Job never celebrated birthdays but when his sons did, Job prayed and sanctified the house. Easter is mentioned in the bible as it was already in existence, a pagan holiday where they worshiped the sun god and ran lawless for 1 week raping and murdering, killing ect. New years eve is another pagan holiday. Remember God makes the laws, not man. So why do man disobey God? He never commanded any of these pagan holidays for us to keep. Now we have there pagan calendar with all the pagan god names for months and days. Good one mankind. Lets go back to God 's way
  • Penny Soulik on Amos 8:7 - 11 years ago
The very fact that these days we live in Corruption has gone sky high not only in The Government, but also in church. And the LORD said that those who knew the TRUTH when they pulled out, becomes prey For the corruption of the church. But when the LORD returns, is there really anyone to save? Something to think about. Amos 8:7 Everyone is striving instead of Praying and asking for His extended mercies. And the ones trying to help out His people Jerusalem and Judea are not bringing them back but dividing them! Acts 2:34-39. Exodus 4:8 Rev 2:14 Isaiah 29:13,15,16,18, 22-24 Isaiah 31:1-3,4-7.
  • Frank on Psalms 1 - 11 years ago
Can someone please pray for me? I 've tried to live according to the law of Lord but I am not strong to resist the sin of this world. For every step I take I take 10 steps back.I don 't know Why. I need help. I am tired of living as a sinner.
  • Taffy on Romans 14:2 - 11 years ago
I believe it is a wise disciple who searches the scriptures on a given subject before forming an opinion on an isolated verse. Though this verse appears to be speaking of one who may be week in faith, there may be more than we know going on here. Did Christ eat meat offered to idols?
  • Bill on John 8:31 - 11 years ago
Thus, it comes down to this: Is discipleship a condition for salvation, or is discipleship a chosen path of commitment that some saved persons pursue while other saved persons do not?....To those believing saved Jews, Jesus says, If you continue abide or remain in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed. Those who are willing to pay the price of discipleship are truly disciples not merely pupils, but engaged adherents of Christ s teaching. These are the ones whose works for Christ will survive the testing furnace at the Judgment Seat. While others will be saved, yet so as by fire, these true disciples will be rewarded for their fruitfulness. We can, therefore, conclude that while all disciples are believers, not all believers are disciples.
  • Shirley on Matthew 24:36 - 11 years ago
No one knows the time nor the hour! To those who are not believers is it not better to believe than not, than later find out after you are left behind wondering where have we gone to? I beg you, my friend pick up The Holy Bible and begin to read, then make your decision. Simple as that! Seek out your own salvation...no one can do it for you!
  • Osmo on Matthew 7:11 - 11 years ago
This verse means God wants to prosper us. Why then does traditional Christianity deny it? He wants to prosper and heal us, and what father wouldn '? Whey did religion remove all the good stuff that God has for us anyway? When did all that begin? Why didn 't Martin Luther bring in all the promises of God when he broke away from the Catholic church? I am a Lutheran on paper but rarely do they bring up healing in the church services. Now people are turning to teachers that appropriate everything God wants to give them, and that is how it should be.
  • Jeff on Philippians 4:13 - 11 years ago
does it mean we can do all things, or more like, we can cope with all things?
  • RNM I COR 7-26 on 1 Corinthians 7 - 11 years ago
I COR 7-26... And I think a lot depends on why they separated, to me that would be an important part, because if he was unfaithful or did not hold up to his part of the marriage devotions, God may not sanctify you marrying this person for one. this is really a subject better suited for private conversation. Hope this helps? AMEN!!
  • RNM REV 13-26 on Revelation 13 - 11 years ago
REV 13-26... II PETER 1:20..Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture, is of any private interpretation... II Corinthians 11: 12-15. For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. And no marvel for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness whose end shall be according to their works. If your not in the Will of the Almighty GOD, and Obedient to HIM, then who 's will are you in, and who have you given your obedience too? Who 's Commandments are you serving GOD 'S or man 's? These are very important questions you half to ask yourself. AMEN!!
  • G . Taylou on 1 Timothy 5 - 11 years ago
With ref to verse eight. It speakes about if any provide not for HIS own house, he hath denied the faith and that man is worse than an infidel. My question is, supose the person is a woman because the man is unablle to work, can one say that the woman denied the faith?
  • Carolyn on Exodus 20:4 - 11 years ago
Do you have an inspirational image for Exodus 20:4?
  • Ar on Exodus 32 - 11 years ago
Reading Chapter 32 of Exodus, again and again I have always wondered why Aaron so easily gave in to the people 's request and made the golden cow. He was a chief Levite and had an authority on the people while Moses was away on the Mountain. I wonder if he lost his faith too for a while or he just was tired of the grumbling people?
  • Jayla on Matthew 6 - 11 years ago
This chapter other than the lords prayer is talking and asking why want the the things of this world when there temporary? Instead you should want whats in stored for you in heaven because god has a plan for all of us he wouldn 't do anything to us that he knows we couldn 't get through. This being said don 't try to put your heart into the world, but instead you should put your work and efforts into god because a greater prize is in store for you. I 'm not saying you should listen to the world and accept just because you want a lot of riches, but you should want to serve god and Iove him with all of your heart.
  • Galileo S. Arevalo on Galatians 1:8 - 11 years ago
Do the catholic priests ignore this verse when they teach the praying of the rosary? Jesus, and any of His Apostles never did preach the praying of the rosary... If this prayer was the cause of what those 3 children who testified that they saw Mary, Then still they should not have taught other than what the Bible has not been teaching as what Apostle Paul said in Galacians 1:8...
  • RNM GEN --5-24 on Genesis 5 - 11 years ago
GEN 5-24...Neither was Abel mentioned? So what does it mean?
  • Grant on 1 Corinthians 11:3 - 11 years ago
Trinitarian Alert:Well,Paul wrote this years after Jesus 's death so lets compare scripture rather than leaning on our own reasoning. This passage says that God is the head of his son, Christ. Ok, lets go right to the source himself,Jesus, and see what he has to say. At John 14:28 Jesus conferms that his Father is greater than he is.If Jesus were God, how do trinitarians explain this?
