Gidget, pray for your adult children. Pray that God sends them friends that are Christian. Pray believing that God is going to do great things in their lives. Thank him for the things He is going to do ahead of time. Never give up. Praise God for all He is going to do. Does your Bible have a concordance? Look up prayer, believing. Jesus talks about prayers that get answered and thanking Him before you get the answer. Believe. God works in marvelous and mysterious ways in His time. Matthew 21:22 says,And all things, whatsoever he shall ask in prayer, believing, he shall receive.

The evidence of the Holy Spirit in your life will be seen in your obedience to Christ! Do you grow daily in Christ? Do you lead others to Christ? Are you a selfless person? Do you lose your life in Christ? Not speaking in tongues. That gift died out in the first century. It is sad to see the lost right under our noses while we talk on and on about something no longer needed. The world longs to see Jesus in us. They want to understand and believe. We need to be leading others to Christ not talking about something no longer needed. Satan wants us to argue. Jesus wants us all to believe and teach the same thing so the world believes in Christ. To all you people that believe that Acts Chapter 2 Verse 38 is the plan of Salvation for the Church, what about Charles Spurgeon, D.L. Moody, Oliver Green, Ed Young Jr., John R. Rice, Adrian Rogers And James Kennedy? From James Kennedy back to Oliver Green by which he led me to the Lord Put no emphasis on Acts 2,38 for Salvation, how about all these converts, are they all going to Hell?

Why would he lay his hands on those 12 men and saw them receive the gift of the Holy Ghost and saw them speak in other tongues and prophesied if it was wrong? If it is wrong then why would God have it written in the word of God? In the end, speaking in tongues is the evidence a person needs to know that they truly have the true Holy Ghost. Actually, this passage show us that through it all God delivered Israel against insurmountable odds. And even after that, the childern of Israel still pursued things that they were NOT supposed to touch. Apollos was not even saved when he made these disciples because they knew nothing about Jesus Christ ch 18:25-26. The revelation they had only went to Mark 1:4. These didn 't have the Holy Ghost because they hadn 't believed on Christ Jn 7:39.

Hello Gerandene and Jacob, Romans Chapter 16 verse 25 says, Now to Him that is of power to establish you according to My Gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the MYSTERY, which was kept secret since the world began, THE MY GOSPEL is the Gospel of Grace given to Paul, the reveling of the MYSTERY was the CHURCH given to the Apostle Paul, the Church given to Paul only, that was a secret since the world began. Why would I say that? The Kingdom Gospel was prophesied from Exodus Ch. 19,v.6 till Calling of Paul. If the Church would not have been kept secret it would have confused all the Apostle and least 8000 more in Acts Ch. 2,38. So brother and sister in Christ you 've got it right, have a happy year.

Amen Gerandene, it 's so sad. They don 't realize that the kingdom offer is still there until Acts 7. So the gospel of the kingdom is still being preached in Acts 2:38 which is a different gospel Gal 1:8-9 than we preach. Paul is the apostle for the church age Rom 11:13,16:4, 1Tim 2:7. 2Tim 1:1, 2:7. We, like Paul preach the gospel of the grace of God Acts 20:24 and are saved by grace through faith and it is NOT OF WORKS. If you want to obey the gospel Trent Romans 16:16 says, But they have not all OBEYED the gospel. For Esaias saith, Lord, who hath BELIEVED our report? Not Chatauna. Acts 2:38 is not our gospel, 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 is.

My comment was a question-Did Jesus use real people in His Parables? Chapter one showed Jonah running away from his assignment that Elohim God had given him, because of un-forgiveness. I think that God sendingbthe flood was of his mercy upon a dark, depraved and sinful humanity, and even before the flood God gave them 120 years to repent and turn to Him, and after the 120 years, once again, in His great mercy, gave another week, so you see, God didn 't really want to send a flood to destroy all sinful humanity, but since man rejected Him, what else can He do? And we see that right now, in our generation, how God wants us all to be saved, and so far, He 's given us more than 2000 years to repent He wants us all to be saved. Hell is meant for the devil and his angels, not for us, but since we keep putting Him off, what else can He do? God is still the God of Justice. And the flood did work, even though sin is still inherent to all mankind, didn 't He send His One and Only Son to die on the cross for you and me, so that we could have forgiveness? And he did through giving us His Son, being born of the line of David, who came from the line of Judah, who came from the line of Abraham, whom God chose, even before the beginning of time. Evangelist Chatauna Robinson are you saying the only way to be saved is to speak in other tongues? and to be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ? or maybe you agree that sin will never enter into heaven and we must be sinless in order to enter heaven? are you saying the only way to know if somebody is sinless is by them speaking in other tongues?

Part 3 of 3 As far as God being angry, why do you really think that the bow rainbow in the sky appears? God is reminding himself not to destroy mankind and the whole earth with water this time. If I can say it like this, God is telling mankind alright you all are really bad, but I will remember my covenant that I made with Noah and will not destroy you all and the whole Earth with water this time. If I understand this correctly, God was really angry that man was wicked so he killed everyone except Noah and some of his family members, and a pair of the millions of animal species. Some questions I have weren 't there any other nice people in the world ? Why did he kill all of the animals, what did they ever do? Apparently, God wanted to "reset " the earth and man.
