  • James on Romans 12 - 11 years ago
One of the most common questions asked is what 's Gods will for my life? Verse 1 and 2 tells us that the will of God is not so much about where I am and where I 'm going, but what type of person I am.
  • Victor on Acts 2 - 11 years ago
About what times is talking Peter in this chapter? Is he referring to 21st century time, too? Acts 2 14 But Peter, standing up with the eleven, lifted up his voice, and said unto them, Ye men of Judaea, and all ye that dwell at Jerusalem, be this known unto you, and hearken to my words 15 For these are not drunken, as ye suppose, seeing it is but the third hour of the day. 16 But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel 17 And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams 18 And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit and they shall prophesy
  • E on Malachi 3:10 - 11 years ago
Abraham and Jacob gave tithes for sure to God! There was no church building. I believe it 's important to give to the church but we ate not under any law and God 's children should know whether they gave it to a single mother or whatever good means from your heart He will it. By Jesus Christ and the work of the cross were good! Even in Malachi it was the priest eh stole from God! Please read in context and stop binding up God 's children the work is finished for by grace we have... not of works!!! Eph. 2 8,9 Give to God don 't be under the spirit of condemnation. Please someone show us through His word one place in the NT where tithing specifically to the church is written? I can 't find it. Please let 's love and continue to give but may the church get there foot off the necks of God 's people with this lie!
  • Jess on Matthew 6 - 11 years ago
Why make it so hard? 1 4 How to give do your giving in secret so only He you know about it. 5 8 Where not to pray Not in church or public. Do pray in private. Do not babble when you pray. 9 13 Exactly how to pray in private, period as near as I can tell. 14 15 Emphasizes importance of us forgiving our fellow man for being bad to us. I better stop there, that was probably enough to attract the ire of many. I forgive you in advance, love to all.

  • John on Ephesians 1 - 11 years ago
Please clarify v.22, does it supposed to mean that Church is above all things, and Christ is the head of the Church, therefore most certainly Christ is above all things?
  • Seun on Genesis 3:5 - 11 years ago
The bible will always interpret itself. That 's what make it unique. Gen. 3 vs 5 "....be as "gods "... " Q. what is the implication of this "plurality "? "gods ". ANS. There were "others ", BUT only one "LORD GOD "! Gen. 3 vs 8,9,13,14,21,22,23 These "others " gods status cannot be compared to that of the "LORD GOD ". Jesus Christ came to bring us to the knowledge of the "LORD GOD ". It is HE that we, as "children of GOD " Christians believers, are meant to worship, abhor and relate with IJN Luke 4 vs 8, says "Jesus answered him, "It is written, 'YOU SHALL WORSHIP THE "LORD " YOUR "GOD " AND SERVE HIM ONLY. • Evangelist Chatauna Robinson on Genesis 1 - 11 years ago
Hello John, Part 1of 3 According to the National Institute of on Drug Abuse this drug not only causes damage to the brain, but causes respiratory illnesses as well. If you are a true Christian you should not be indulging your body in anything that can damage it. 1 Corinthians 3 16 17 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy for the temple of God is holy which temple ye are. See Corinthians was written to true believers. Those people that followed Acts 2 38 to sum it up. Paul was teaching them about their bodies and how to maintain it for God s purpose. If you continue to read over in Chapter 6 of this same book you will find that you are not even supposed to become drunkards.
  • Reuben munguti on 2 Chronicles 7 - 11 years ago
2chronicles 7 14 This actually reminds of how merciful, loving and concern is our God the Lord of Abraham. I got saved when I was in form two in the year 2010. By that time I was 16 years old. Imagine all that time from the first day of my life in this world being a sinner, but God did not get tired of my sinful ways. Meanwhile, He was waiting for me to make a simple choice, "repentance, " of my sins and He really forgave me, actually is He not a God of Love, God of Mercy and Concern? So, my brethren, if you happens to read this verse try to interpret and share with your friends. May the Lord our God bless you so much. Amen.
  • Pastor Ryan Sheppard on 2 Peter 1:10 - 11 years ago
God instructs we who believe on Jesus for salvation to do our utmost to be Christian which entails FIRST studying God 's Word for all tha we can do to super please our Beautiful Saviour and Lord Jesus. Does it super please God to share God 's simple plan of salvation? Without question sharing the good news of the gospel of Jesus super pleases God so go and do so with all your heart. Does it super please God to say no to all worldliness, corruption and tyranny? Obviously, then say no to any and all worldliness with all your being and coint it all joy when you share the gospel with EVERYONE YOU MEET, count it all joy saying no to sin, count it all joy when seeking to love and care for others doing all unto our Lord Jesus. Any Christian who 's satisfied with less than an all out effort to share the gospel and be the best they can for God is going to be a poor example for others to follow and like a ship sitting stagnantly for years in the same location barnacles and other corruptions will attach and will become an unprofitable servant at best. God blessed us with life and breathe in order to invite us all into a grace a thon wherein like any thon we 're to be willing EVEN eager to not leave any stone unturned in an all out effort to super bless the very heart of God making extra thoroughly certain we 're not neglecting to do everything to touch the very heart of God and be a sweet smelling savour in the Nostrils of God. Now, get set and GO! GO! and SUPER GO! search the scriptures for every word that describes what we can do to well please God, then, after compliling a list go do them all with all your heart, mind, soul and strength.
  • Brianna on Luke 19:46 - 11 years ago
There is truly nothing new under the sun. They made God 's house a cave of robbers then, and the same thing today. Who knew that worshiping God could be so expensive today!?!?! AS I recall, Jesus did not charge for his services, and he did way more than any preacher today can do!
  • Brianna on Psalms 111:10 - 11 years ago
A very practical and powerful scripture. This calls to question what does it mean to Fear Jehovah? In accordance with this scripture, the fear of disobeying his commandments and displeasing him. The laws in the Bible serve as a great protection from many of the pitfalls that befall so many today. Would it not be wisdom to obey those laws, and benefit ourselves???
  • Jessica on Acts 28:3 - 11 years ago
what is this chapter talking about? I understand some of it just not all of it.
  • John on Genesis 1:29 - 11 years ago
I 'd just like to point out that we still have God given rights in this country... God gave us every plant and HERB on the face of the Earth... so my question is... Why is marijuana illegal?
  • Pastor Ryan Sheppard on Romans 10:15 - 11 years ago
Comparing scripture with scripture the word "Go " is the very FIRST word in God 's great commission in Mt. 28 and the word "Go " is the most vital word in God 's Great Commission instructing all who have fully believed on Jesus how our feet are called by God to be fully given to God to be used to preach His gospel as we who claim to be Christian 's Christ ones are to be "DOER " of God 's Word and NOT HEARERS ONLY as James 2 so powerfully exhorts. Preaching the good news of the gospel is what God calls "beautiful " in this verse, so, what 's keeping you from doing the most beautiful Christian act? Timidity? That 's concern over self, an intense SELF love. PRIDE? that you know better than God about that which is beautiful? Read 2 Corinthians 5 17,18 where every believer in Jesus is not only a new creature also we 're all ALL GIVEN the ministry of reconciliation.
  • Pastor Ryan Sheppard on John 15:13 - 11 years ago
A Superior love checkmate God before time began set out to prove His Greatest Love to us. For, offering Himself up as a sacrificial Lamb to die on the Cross in the Form of His dear Son to pay for our sins is the exact opposite of what the enemies of our souls set out to do for us. Given a 1,000 million years no one 's mind will ever conceive of a greater love than Jesus offering everything, His life, breathe and each and every drop of His Blood dripping as He allowed Himself to be ridiculed, spat on and tortured though He could 've summoned Holy Angels at any time to defend Himself. This verse does MORE than express the obvious this verse is written to spur us on to go witnessing to share the Greatest love and fulfill and obey God 's Greatest commandment to love God with all our heart, mind, soul and strength and to love thy nieghbor as thyself. How can you love thy neighbor greater than sharing the good news of the gospel of Jesus?
  • Angel on Genesis 9 - 11 years ago
This is just my thoughts to answer the question posed What did Ham do wrong? I can only gather that he looked on his father 's nakedness without diverting his eyes and then rather than cover his father which would be a way of honoring his father by covering his father 's shame he went out of the tent and "gossiped " it to his brothers. He should have covered his father and walked out of the tent saying nothing to anyone else thereby not causing his father further shame. If he had done that there would have been no sin upon him and left Noah to repent to God for his drunkeness and as he noted when the other two boys covered him while keeping their gaze away from their father 's shame and Noah came to know of what he had done wrong he would have done the same if Ham had covered his father. The difference being his shame would have been contained between Ham and Noah as it should have been.
  • John d on 2 Thessalonians 2 - 11 years ago
The big question is who is the antichrist. 2nd Thessaloians 3 4 refers to a man of sin. The antichrist is Satan it always has been, read Issiah 14 12 16 Lucifer is identified by God as a man. Its not the Pope or any other person on earth. It makes sense if Jesus is the Christ then the ANTICHRIST is?????
  • Lj on 1 Thessalonians 4 - 11 years ago
I have the understanding that "the dead in Christ " is refering to people who have no faith or who choose not to believe in Christ...what do you think?
  • Cathy on Hebrews 10:26 - 11 years ago
For those who say once saved not always saved you better think hard on this one. Here is an example lets say a person gets saved, the bible clearly states we must follow the laws of the land but the saved person continues willfully to drive 56 mph in a 55. Well friend , you are willfully sinning and according to your interpretation would therefore go to hell if while driving 56 mph had a wreck and died. Because breaking the laws of the land is sinning ! Seems like your a little on the self righteous side and if you try to say you haven 't sinned willfully since you 've been saved I 'd say your a liar or very self deluted. How often do you drive a smidge over the speed limit??
  • Terry on Job 33 - 11 years ago
23 If there be a messenger with him, an interpreter, one among a thousand, to shew unto man his uprightness Sadly it appears many miss the point here. Job blames God for punishing him without cause, without trail and without mercy. The hope of the messenger is to prove to man gods righteousness not prove to God Jobs righteousness. One cannot be saved unless they trust that gods righteousness is greater than mans Vs 12 Lastly everything in the book of Job must be weighed against the prose and the epiphany of the book. Will Job curse God to his face? This question is put to Job in chapter 40 7 8 to which his answer will determine his fate as it will ours.
  • Philip mc lean on 1 Timothy 2:12 - 11 years ago
I take this verse literally because I have no reason not too.Paul explains the reasoning behind this. The fact that Eve was the one deceived not Adam. Why on earth do you think that satan tempted Eve not Adam. Is it not possible that women perhaps are more open to deception?Paul obviously thought so.I am not chauvinist. I will open the door for any lady. Even put my coat in the puddle Some of the young ones wont have a clue about that statement . But I dont see anywhere in the old testament that women taught in the temple. That was God 's choice and as far as.i am concerned that must be His pattern for Paul would have based this scripture on what he was taught from old testament guidelines. He didn 't have the new testament. If we want to go against the word of God.we will suffer the consequences. That also is God 's pattern!!
  • Midge on Ecclesiasticus 40:5 - 11 years ago
I think i need a copy of this Cambridge Edition of the Bible. I have Ecclesiastes and it only goes to chapter 12.. I see the word Cambridge and I think lots of money for that Bible. I am trying to study the sins of the flesh and gifts of the Spirit with William Barclay so very interesting but my Bible does not have Ecclesiasticus or Empedocles or other stuff. I do have The American College Dictionary and for word study it is great. Can your recommend any other books I should have to help with my word studies? Thank you. • John on Genesis 1 - 11 years ago
It took God 5 days to create the earth and man who was created in just one day is doing everything possible to destroy God 's creation. Dominion does not mean destroy. It means use, respect, make the earth prosper. Yes, I am an environmentalist, shouldn 't we all be?
  • Emmanuel Stephen on Leviticus 20 - 11 years ago
All these commandment are for the benefit of mankind. If we do them and follow as our lord has commanded it shall be well with us. Otherwise what will a man benefit from the practices of homosexual ? There is a way that seems right to a man but the end is catastrophe and destruction. Say No to homosexual , say No to lesbianism
