  • Joseph Appiah on Exodus 40 - 11 years ago
We realise from this chapter that the cloud of the glory of God came upon the tabernacle after all the work and instructions given to Moses and the people had been fully executed to completion. This tells us that God will always and only honour total obedience and complete faithfulness to service. There is no tolerance for partial obedience and partial service with the LORD. If we therefore want the glory and honour of the LORD in ourlives and ministries, then it requires complete and total obedience to the WORD OF GOD and to the specific assignment and instructions that HE JEHOVAH has given us as individuals and as a a Church. The question we then need to be asking ourselves is 'are we totally obeying the WORD OF GOD? ' Are you giving total and complete obedience and faithfulness to the specific assignment and instructions the LORD has given us as individuals and as a Church or family?

At the time this scripture was written the Jews were in bondage under the Roman Empire. The Roman soldiers were the ones who bore the sword to execute vengeance upon those who did evil. That applied to all regardless of genealogy who lived under the Roman rulers. Today the US citizens live under the authority of the government, which is historically known for being unfair, evil, and wicked. The government have made the police the authority to whom US citizens answer to for crimes and wickedness. They are called ministers of God, a revenger to execute wrath upon those who practice wickedness. Who else is going to execute vengeance on the wicked? The righteous? That 's not going to happen because the righteous lives by grace, mercy, compassion and forgiveness. So you have the wicked executing vengeance on the wicked. If this scripture is only applied spiritually then what place do rulers have here and to whom is the word rulers referring to? Who is the minister of God to us for good? This scripture is indeed applied spiritually and it is applied naturally also. Thy will be done in earth as it is in heaven.

Ask yourselves this, how do you expect your pastor to live or your church to pay its bills? Our pastor is full time, he does not work any job except being a pastor so if people dont pay tithes then he dont get paid! Whatever you make you must pay tithes on including social security! 10 percent is tithes one tenth and half of that is offering 5 percent which pays church bills like utilities, water, etc. I get social security only so I make 1329 a month. I pay 133 tithes and 66.50 offering and anything you give over that is sacrificial giving like missions etc. God expects His people to support the shepard or pastor He puts over them and God also expects us to support the church and help pay bills. If everyone does his or her part then the pastor and the church should be supported just fine. The pastor also pays tithes and offerings, the pastors tithes is suppose to go for outreach like helping the needy and winning souls, everything costs money so ask yourself if everyone pays tithes and offerings like I do will my church survive and my pastor be able to pay his bills or buy food for his family?

  • Mark Mendoza on Genesis 1:1 - 11 years ago
I believe God Can do anything but the words "Let there be " are words of restoration. Witch indicates that the earth was here. It says it was void "frozen Iced up " pretty much a big ball of ice A star? with no atmosphere? and it must have been pretty bad. there was no sun there was no running water it was frozen in space. as his spirit moves on the face of the deep he seem to calculate how he is about to put this all in place. God from what I understands he is very specific detailed and Artistic so math formulas are being put together and its almost like this we see a web page but there are formulas working to bring to a nice site. So then God comes up with the plan and Speaks words of restoration and says Let there be light and light was this was his light until he puts the sun in place. and so you know the rest of the story.. hoped I help..

Why not them we lost communication in contact with God because of sinand if you read a little bit more you will find out so did the angelsI have read the secrets of Enoch the Dead Sea Scrolls. The Lost books of the Bible The Lost books of Moses 5,6,7. The Book of Lilith the secrets of Solomon the problem is people are just selfish and stuck in their own ways. nor do we have open mind. • Tammy on Exodus 22:28 - 11 years ago
No I disagee. The Lord God would never refer to mere men as gods. This must be somewhat parallel to Jude, when he was saying that even Michael said "The LORD rebuke you satan ". Maybe we are to free with the way we address spiritual powers and this gives them cause to attack us? That is my take....
  • John Robinson on John 8:12 - 11 years ago
The light of the world. Is there a greater reason to follow Jesus Christ than this? The darkness in us cannot comprehend the light. yet those who follow me shall not walk in darkness. Take His hand, darkness gone the darkness that had defined my being because it had blocked my understanding of what forms the world light! Shall Have the divine light constantly shining upon him, diffusing over his soul knowledge, holiness, joy. I know this. I have this through my faith I him. Darkness history replaced by such deep love for all for the light is love that brings joy, peace, end of fear. But shall have the light of life. The great gift. It allows the soul to see at last. To see that our reality is abundant love. Oh the happiness!
  • Katie on Acts 23 - 11 years ago
Brenda, when it states a Jew it means that they lived in Judea, it has nothing to do with ones heritage. Like how someone from Texas is called a Texan. Paul was not a jew in the sense of how Jews are today. People were called jews because they lived or once lived in Judea. It doesn 't mean that they are of the Tribe of Judah. I think Paul himself a Pharisee in Chapter 23 to start a fight among the Pharisees and sadducees. It turned the enemy of Paul against one another. Pauls father was a Roman therefore it made Paul one too but Paul was of the Tribe of Benjamin. See Romans 11 11 I say then, Hath God cast away his people? God forbid. For I also am an Israelite, of the seed of Abraham, of the tribe of Benjamin. He was of the tribe of Benjamin Benjamite and from the town of Giscalis in Judea which made him a "jew " because of where he lived. Being called a jew had to do with where one lived Judea . From there Paul moved to Jerusalem to study under the feet of Gamaliel.

  • George Hartwell on Matthew 1 - 11 years ago
Comment in verse 23 The Greek Septuagint which Matthew used translates it as "a virgin shall conceive and bear a son, " but the Hebrew word "almah " means "young woman of marriageable age, " not a virgin. It could still mean that Mary was a virgin though, couldn 't it? After all, only she would know.
  • Eric Hansen on John 3 - 11 years ago
I have a problem with verses 19 21. Sounds like while the Church slept a little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to rest false doctrine creeped in like a bandit. Tares mixed with the wheat. Yeast with the dough. Just a little yeast works through the whole batch of dough. Beware the yeast of the Pharisees and Sadducees and Essenes. Let me ask you all this Did the sinners that Moses held up the copper bronze snake on a pole for in the dessert, did they come to that temporary light because their deeds were evil or of God? If they came to that temporary light because their deeds were evil, how much more then shall those who do evil deeds come to the eternal light of Christ? Is it not the sick who need a doctor, not the well? "Go away from me Lord. I am a sinful man " Peter told Jesus. Jesus ' response was "Do not be afraid ".
  • Haizel on Psalms 39 - 11 years ago
This verse hit me the most, O spare me, that I may recover strenght, before I go hence and be no more. I am asking myself of what legacy will I leave when Im gone. What shall I render unto the Lord for all his benefits towards me? Sometimes, life demands so much from us and we tend to feel like quitting, that we cant go on any longer, but God 's promises are never fading. We just have to believe Him. He is our strenght when we are weak, he hears even our silent cries. Worry no more, pray more!

  • Eaglesrock on Galatians 3 - 11 years ago
Faith VS The Law. At the giving of the Law 3000 were slain. At the giving of Pentecost 3000 were saved. I am so glad to not be under the Law, but under GRACE. If it be of works, than there can be no grace. By Grace are you saved by Faith, not of works least anyone should boast. If works cannot save us, how can bad works unsave us? They can 't. It was amazing grace, how sweet the sound that saved a wrench like me.
