What does it mean when it said that an evil spirit came out of GOD?
  • Norm on Matthew 24 - 11 years ago
Dear Wayne Fitzgerald With all humility, I will attempt to correct edify you regarding the mystery of the rapture. Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ will not subject His own body The members of His Church, the body of Christ in which the Holy Spirit dwells to His wrath. Why would our Lord subject His own body to His own wrath? I believe our Lord did not reveal His mystery to us until "recently " I hear 1800s because it was not relevant. Our Lord gives us tremendous insight regarding the rapture THROUGHOUT Psalms and many other books OT NT . A few random verses pertinent to the rapture Isaiah 57 1 The righteous perisheth, and no man layeth it to heart and merciful men are taken away, none considering that the righteous is taken away from the evil to come. Jeremiah 23 20 The anger of the LORD shall not return, until he have executed, and till he have performed the thoughts of his heart in the latter days ye shall consider it perfectly. also see Jeremiah 30 24 1 Thessalonians 5 9 For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ, Study Psalms 18 for ALL it worth. Also, see Psalms Chp 4, verse 11, which informs us that we are being tracked via GPS satellite technology via our cell phones, GPS, On star etc. Very informative. Would love you have Bible study with you some time. May our Lord bless you with all spiritual wealth. Peace
  • Jake on Acts 2 - 11 years ago
People get confused by not rightly dividing the word of truth 2 Tim 2 15. Chrisma means gifted. So a charasmatic is saying he is more gifted than you. Tongues are one of the least gifts one could have see 1 Cor 12 30 and 31. They are not unknown jibber jabber. They are languages that one did not have to study to be able to share the gospel with someone else. See Acts 2 verse 8 And how hear we every man in our own TONGUE, wherein we were born? then verse 6 , because that every man heard them speak in his own LANGUAGE. 1 Cor 14 22 says tongues are for them that BELIEVE NOT. Those who believe don t need to hear you speak in tongues. Also they are for a SIGN and chapter 1 verse 22 says Jews require a SIGN. Matt 12 39 says an evil and adulterous generation seeketh a SIGN. In acts 2,10,19 Jews are present every time because they couldn t believe that Gentiles could even be saved. Read chapter ten. You are not a Jew and most likely have no Jews attending your church services. When you are filled with the Spirit you will speak boldly for the Lord. Lets see you stand on the street corner and speak in so called tongues and find out how many you win to Christ with that behavior.
  • MockingBird on Romans 8:39 - 11 years ago
The Love of God is a mighty strong hold !! Nothing shall be able to sever the love of God to me and for me. I can depend on that. Why ? Because God said it and that settles it and I believe His word . I cannot ask for anything better !!!!
  • Erwin S. on Revelation 3:16 - 11 years ago
Jesus, as our Judge, does not mince His words. If you have received salvation, do you still continue in your old ways, unrepentant, still hanging on to your former self? We should not take likely what He says. He will turn us away. As obedient children, do not be conformed to the former lusts which were yours in your ignorance, 15but like the Holy One who called you, be holy yourselves also in all your behavior 16because it is written, "YOU SHALL BE HOLY, FOR I AM HOLY. " 1 Pet 1 14 16
  • Erika on Leviticus 19:28 - 11 years ago
People are too eager to maim and kill each other over words. Do the anti tattooists never eat catfish? Catfish have no scales. Do they refuse a surgical incision? Many threats to life like cancer or a bullet need to be removed. Do they refuse to breastfeed their infants? Vital blood components for baby 's health are in breast milk. Do they refuse life saving blood transfusions? If so then their god is a god who demands human blood sacrifice. That is not my god.
  • David W Jessup on Genesis 3:22 - 11 years ago
I was taught that Adam and Eve would have lived forever, had they not eaten the forbidden fruit. However we have God 's statement regarding the necessity of keeping them away from the tree of life lest they live forever. Does that not imply that although they might live very lengthy lives eventually they would face death even if they had they had remained obedient to God?
  • Mike on Proverbs 13 - 11 years ago
Why does the last verse encourage gluttony?
  • Larry bunch on Galatians 2:16 - 11 years ago
Gal.2 16 what is work laws of God? Jesus said, " st. John 6 29 this is the work laws of God to believe on him whom he has sent. In Gal. 2 16 to be justified with God we must cling to the work God told us to cling to. Saving faith saving belief in the gospel of The Lord Jesus Christ crucified his death his blood his resurrection known as the work laws of God.
  • Olubunmi Uluba on 1 Corinthians 15 - 11 years ago
The whole chapter is a reminder of where we should put our hope and to persevere in doing the work of God for a time is coming and very soon that He will come to take His elect. The question is, will you be amoung? This present world we are in now is just a passing, fleeting vapour.WHERE WILL YOU SPEND ETERNITY?
  • Judy on Acts 20:28 - 11 years ago
Does Acts 20 28 mean that the pastor can tell the members of the church if they can be in the choir teach ,etc?
  • Brianna on Deuteronomy 5:29 - 11 years ago
Have truer words ever been spoken? BY doing things Jehovah 's way, by obeying the Bible, I can truly say that my life is relatively free from problems. By obeying the counsel of abstaining from unclean things, I am not plagued with the problems of alcohol, drugs, or other unclean habits. By obeying the counsel on fornication and adultery, I have not dealt with unwanted pregnancies, or the hardships of being a single parent, or even the heartbreak of courtship with someone who does not live by Bible Standards. The bible truly can help you to have a satisfying life, just as it has helped me.
  • Brianna on 1 John 3:22 - 11 years ago
I definitely agree with Shanna. How can you act wickedly, and expect a blessing from Jehovah God? IT MAKES NO SENSE! Can you rob and steal, and expect a citizen of the year award? NO! I think this is a good self examining scripture to review when you think God is not answering your prayers. What are you doing to receive an answer?
  • Donald on Exodus 21 - 11 years ago
Ya 'll need to quite it. Some of the comments regarding this chapter or, for that matter, any chapter, verse or quote from the bible, are just absolutely ludicrous. are you thinking about what you are saying? or are you just spouting off, pretending to be some type of scholarly Biblical intellectuals... "Study and show yourself approved "... to think that any of you are so intellectual that your deciphering or interpretation of scripture comes any where near to being accurate... I think is delusional. I think you need to go deeper quit being so literal. If you are truly a student of the gospel...try this... pray for wisdom then meditate and quiet yourself for the answer... I don 't profess to be a bible scholar. However I do love the lord and perhaps if we stop using this as a forum to try and impress, we could see the actual potential of a true and Meaningful Bible Study here.
  • Bisi on 2 Kings 2 - 11 years ago
That was the era of prophet and prompt judgement, we are now in the dispensation of Grace, though God still judge sin but gives room to repentance and restitution, let us all depart from evil deeds. What if Elisha was distracted by the circumstances around him then? He would never have had a fulfilled ministry, what a lesson to all of us the believers of today
  • Chris on Isaiah 41:10 - 11 years ago
During a time of great discouragement from my circumstances a friend saw this verse on a truck while driving . I know God wanted me to remember He is Sovereign and Almighty. If God be for us who can be against us ? We have Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord. He is enough , today and forever. Hallelujah !
  • Charlotte on Nehemiah 4 - 11 years ago
If God be for us, who can be against us? What a loving protector we have in the Lord! Amen.
  • Pastor Joe on Matthew 24:13 - 11 years ago
I have been a Christian since I was seventeen years old and I truly believe I got saved by God 's Grace. Born again As much as this be so why do I have to endure until the end as far as natural life is concerned to be saved when I have already been saved? I think there is a possibility that I endured until the end when I got saved and became a new creature in Jesus Christ. Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature old things are passed away behold, all things become new. I Cor. 5 17 KJV It is difficult for me to understand how you can have anything eternal or everlasting and have it today and loose it tomorrow.
  • Moe on Matthew 26:39 - 11 years ago
Great...I like it ... I like the most that Matthew said he is the son of David And this what make him the son of man as he said in Matthew too. But why in the next chapter the called him the son of god . ?
  • Jason on Ephesians 4:11 - 11 years ago
I think that 4 9, and 10, are also intrinsically related to this verse as well, as it states that, "What is it, but that he also descended first into the lower parts of the earth,? " Then verse 10 goes on to say, "He that descended is the same also that ascended up far above all heavens, that he might fill all things. " This seems to indicate that he went to the deepest place to save, and then to the highest to give praise unto God, for his great and awesome mercy and kindness in doing so. He gave these ministries to demonstrate just that as well, regarding those called to those ministries, as well as those to whom they will serve.
  • Casmir Nsabimana (in Bujumbura) on Acts 9 - 11 years ago
Acts9 verse 3 to 5 As He appeared to Moses in the thick light, likewise he appeared to Saul going to Damascus. Saul had been taught about the Lord our God how He was appearing to different people like Moses for example. That 's why when he saw the light from heaven he immediately noticed the presence of the Lord. Then he fell to the earth, and heard a voice saying unto him, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me?And he fell to the earth, and heard a voice saying unto him, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me? In verse 5 he asks Who art thou, Lord? The answer is "I am Jesus whom thou persecutest " In others words, this Jesus who appeared to Saul, i the same Jesus who appeared to Moses. God of Abraham, God of Isaac, God of Jacob, God of us all who beleive that we are sons of Abraham by the promise.
  • Emosi Sadole on Matthew 19:14 - 11 years ago
Like any other verse in the bible ,this verse has been put together in most simple meaning to bring us closer to the real thoughts of our Lord. Meaning what may eventually read out or spoken out of a single bible verse, will have different lots of meaning definitions to mankind. DOes that really necessarily mean they all truth??? i leave to people to decided and ponder on that. In the meantime, back to this verse, im no different from the rest of you who have been pondering on this verse. But great is this opportunity site to share what i learn from this verse. Mark 10 14 15 quoting ...suffer the little children to come unto me,and forbid them not for of such is the kingdom of God. 15 Verily i say unto you,Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child.he shall not enter therein ' '... the comparison is been made between receiving little children to be similar to receiving the kingdom of God.God wants us to receive and care and nurture and treasure the kingdom of God ,just like how much we care for our own children. Linking to this verse i gain a verse where people asked 'where is the kingdom of God ' ' Jesus reveal the kingdom of God is found within you ' '.
  • Ian schofield on Ecclesiastes 1 - 11 years ago

  • Wow on Genesis 4 - 11 years ago
How did Cain find a wife when at that point Eve was the only woman on earth? She didn 't have other sons and daughters until after Cain supposedly knew his wife.
  • Wow on Genesis 3 - 11 years ago
So the earth was juuuust created and all that stuff to give rise to Satan already happened? I mean it must have if this snake is already there manipulating the situation. Also its interesting how had eve had some knowledge of good and evil before shed eaten the fruit she would have been less vulnerable to this creature.
  • Vicki on Revelation 11:3 - 11 years ago

  • RM P on Hebrews 13:15 - 11 years ago
"giving praise thanks by the fruit of OUR LIPS to HIS NAME ". Why is it people do not SPEAK HIS NAME, they always refer to Him by titles? Is there some unwritten law forbidding is to use his name? Didn 't satan defile slander his Personal NAME and challenge is title.... Am a new christian and I perceive many teachings and that do not correspond with scriptures in bibles. I try to reprove what I hear in churches today notice bibles churches are plural .. I even go as far a reading none biblical historians accounts BC and AD... It frightens me because of Rev 22 18 19 that I dont want to associate with any group calling themselves Christians... For I do not want debate nor confrontations only want the words as originally written in the scrolls explained so I can be a better Christian....
  • Saved by Grace on Galatians 3:3 - 11 years ago
The reality is you are NOT made perfect by flesh. After all "God concluded all men in unbelief so that He could have mercy on all ". Done. ALL men fell short. Only fools think that they can save themselves or are doing so. Notice Paul is rebuking saved people here calling them foolish. The saved! Why. They were not speaking truth of Gods gift of Grace and acting like Pharisees if you will. The Spirit in Jesus purifies you fully. If it didn 't why would it be called pure? Who is going to say you are not made perfect by Him? Only someone ignorant of Gods righteousness. It is His righteousness you know. It is not ours! Men had none. No not one. Can you do it by yourself? Never. Is "saved " done once done? YES! It is past tense. Why we thank Jesus !!!!!!!! He gave all. He did what we could not Save ourselves. The saved persons end is ever lasting life. As it written Romans 6 22. This is your reality if saved. When? Right now. As written. Let no man lie to you.
  • The Light of Life on Galatians 2:20 - 11 years ago
He is in us living for us. Who missed it? We are in Him too. Try to steer myself away from future sin someone said? I say "behold the lamb of God who taketh AWAY the sins of the world ". He is living for me. Not I. Men get this so mixed up. It 's not a call to be righteous by a law that justifies no one. ....it 's unchangeable reality! We do not make ourselves Holy. He makes us Holy. Get it right then "Shine your light ". He is the light. See where is says we "live " by faith. Faith in us ? so backwards Faith In Him! Glory to God.
