It is possible to be perfect as our heavenly Father is perfect in a relative sense. Jesus was here discussing the subject of love, and he told listeners to imitate God and be perfect, or comlete in their love. How could this be done? By expanding it to include their enemies.
  • Peter Sam on Genesis 4 - 11 years ago
I do not get it, god favoured Abel over Cain, the one god favoured namely Abel was killed. Now I beg to question, why the one god favoured got murdered, why didn 't god protect him? So what are we to deduce from all this? God 's favoured was murdered, god did not bring him back to life but instead populated the world through a murderer, a sinner. Whose fault we are the way we are today? We read that Jesus brought Lazarus back from the dead, Lazarus and sinner like any other in his day, yet god the creator did not do the same for someone he favoured. This is my conclusion, the bible was hijacked by Europeans, edited based on their own world view and shoved at as. King with thrones, long bearded white man on a throne, white angels etc. It is important to see through all the editing and see where this is all man made, god does not behave the way it says he does in the Bible.
  • Nkosinathi Ngulube on Luke 13:11 - 11 years ago
It is a pity we 've come to regard demon possession as sicknesses that require physicians.Have we come far apart from the faith that turns impossibility to all possible manner? As much as sickness is bad, physicians are good to cure but only God heals.Let us therefore be completely loosened by our faith in His power.

  • Dal on Job 42 - 11 years ago
The great truth of this book is that it disputes and corrects the idea prosperity ideology.God owes us nothing for our faith and hope in him but we owe him everything for his love for us in Christ Jesus.God said Job was perfect and upright and God cannot lie.He was perfected through his faith in The Redeemer that was yet to come but Job knew still lived. We are no different.Jesus our high priest makes intersession for us when the devil comes to accuse us as he did Job.For our sake God tests us to make us see our utter dependence upon him.Sometimes our lives are not long enough to see the restoration that Job saw but God is faithful to restore all and bless us in eternity.Remember the man born blind that Jesus healed. The disciples asked who sinned, this man or his parents?Jesus replied neither but that the power of God should be revealed. We should be oh so ready to comfort our brothers and sisters in Christ when they are afflicted and in temptation because of pain or illness or grief. We should be like Jesus himself who though he was God,wept in his grief.I thank You now Heavenly Father for the wounds that heal.
  • Rev. Autrey on Mark 12 - 11 years ago
How many Christian Gods do we have, one, two, or three? Jesus said that we have only one God. This is what he said in Mark 12 29, 'The first commandment of all is, Hear, O Israel, the Lord thy God is one God. ' But most preachers ignore this by preaching two Gods when they say that the Father is a separate God from Jesus the Son. Then they go on to say that the Son is a lesser figure than the Father. This is pure paganism. Paganism is the worship of more than one God. This false belief was introduced into the Christian church in the 4th century by a false preacher from Alexandria, Africa by the name of Dr. Arius. The church condemned it, but it did not die out. Aranism spread to Northern Europe, England, and finally to America. And we see it in our churches today. The problem is, it sets up two Gods, and takes us away from the worship of Jesus by saying that he is not our God. Since Jesus is the way God speaks to us, if we miss Jesus we miss God. And if we miss God, we by default make Satan our God. Please consider this!
  • Rev. Autrey on John 16:24 - 11 years ago
The fact that Jesus is the God Abraham and the prophets prayed to is proven by what Jesus said in John 16, verses 23 and 24, 'At that time you won 't need to ask me for anything. The truth is, you can go directly to the Father and ask him, and he will grant your request because you use my name. You haven 't done this before. ... ' Do you see the point? Jesus was saying to the disciples that they had never prayed to the Father because no one in the Old Testament was aware of his existence. All they knew of God was his one personality, YHWH JESUS. But early in his ministry Jesus introduces them to the existence of God 's two other personalities, the Father and the Holy Spirit. Jesus said to Nicodemus, I assure you, I am telling you what WE know and have seen, and yet you won 't believe US. Then in John 14, 15, and 16 Jesus tells us about the work of the Father and the Holy Spirit. What I am saying is, there is only one God, and he is one entity. But this entity has three distinct self expressions that we call persons. The Father is the way God directs his affairs. The Holy Spirit is the way God inspires us to believe. But God always always speaks to us as Jesus. If you have trouble understanding this, please ask the Holy Spirit to help you. May God bless you always!
  • Christi on Psalms 23 - 11 years ago
I have always wondered about the phrase, "I shall not want " because when I was younger, I desired so many things in the world, physically and emotionally. However, the verse came to be my life verse, whom have I in Heaven but Thee? and there is none on Earth I desire besides Thee! I have many health problems now. I have went from doctor to doctor, and am still facing a line of doctors. Oh for a look at His face! All sorrows will erase! I have even had many doubts at times about salvation. That will erase too! Hallelujah! I love this proverb that someone said "If you must doubt, doubt your doubts and not your beliefs! "

  • CHRIS D on Matthew 24 - 11 years ago
WHEN JESUS COMES BACK YOU BETTER BE READY. NO RAPTURE, NO TRIBULATION. THE TRIBULATION IN MATTHEW 24 IS ON THE JEWS. WHAT MADE IT A "GREAT " TRIBULATION ? THE FIRST TIME THEY HAD EVER BEEN SPREAD UNTO ALL NATIONS. IF YOU NOTICE WHO HE 'S TALKING TO, "BUT FOR THE ELECTS SAKE THOSE DAYS WERE SHORTENED " IF YOU WERE NOT AN "ELECT " WHY WOULD YOU CARE? IF YOU GO TO ISAIAH 45 VERSE 4 IT WILL SHOW YOU WHO THE ELECT ARE. "ISRAEL MINE ELECT "
  • Rev. Autrey on Psalms 25:5 - 11 years ago
It was always God 's plan to come to the earth as Jesus and save his people. Why else would God call himself the Savior in the Psalms? Psalm 25, verse 5, reads. 'Lead me. Teach me. For you are the God who gives me salvation. I have no hope except in you. ' Yes, it was God himself who was born in Bethlehem that Christmas day. That is why Jesus is called Immanuel, God is with us. If we are God 's people, we should accept the fact that he has fulfiled his promise, and come to us as Jesus, the Lord. Yes, he has come to us as Jesus. So Joy to the world, the Lord God has come. Let earth receive her King.... Oh how I wish Church people knew this. If they did, it would give new meaning to the way we come to God, and new meaning to the way we pray to God. May God bless you and keep you!

  • Tim George on Romans 8:33 - 11 years ago
Who shall lay any charge to God 's elect? It is God who justifies. Therefore if God be for us, then who can be against us? I am crucified with Christ, therefore I live, not I but Christ lives in me, and this life I live by the faith of the Son of God who loved me, and gave His life for me. Yes all Israel will be saved, as God will seal 12 thousand from all the 12 tribes in the Tribulation. They will say blessed is He who comes in the name of Hosanna in the Highest.
  • Betty Dean on Matthew 24 - 11 years ago
I have read, the comments on this chapter They are all wrong, there is no rapture before the tribulation. Are you going to believe Jesus or whatever man tells you? Jesus said after the tribulation of those days, the sun will not give it 's light, nor the moon. The stars will fall from the sky.then you will see the sign of the son of man coming in the clouds. The elect, the church will go through the tribulation .why the warning if they are not going to be here? Study the 7th trumpet sounds.

  • Samuel suping on Psalms 127 - 11 years ago
It is very true that if I put all my trust in a person, where will I get help when that person is dead? It is wise to put all my trust in the ever lasting God who is Alpha and Omega.

  • Pastor T on 1 Corinthians 7:14 - 11 years ago
We had this same discussion at my church, the bible says that when we marry we become as one spirit.... remember light overcomes dark any day, greater is he that is in you than he that is in the world. So, my perception is this if we are one spirit than the God in the holy one overtakes the darkness of the other!! Also the bible says how can two walk together except they agree at some point the unsaved one must have a lil belief I think or he or she wouldn 't be married to the holier one so maybe they have as much belief as a mustard seed but are not ready to live the life??? I 'm just speculating. But to finish my thought I do believe that if the other party dies before excepting Jesus in their lives I believe God still receives them unto him self even if he puts them in a lower level of heaven an not the Hollies of Hollies, because that person loved the holy individual just like Christ loved the church so in return they loved on Jesus throughout their marriage!!By the way..... my unsaved husband eventually gave his life to the Lord, thank you Jesus!!! For saving both of us Eight and counting for me and one year and a few months for him .... Praise the Lord!!!!
  • Joseph on Deuteronomy 22:5 - 11 years ago
Could it be that many times man tries to put the Bible into culture removing the true meaning of scripture? The truth is that neither men not women wore britches when God gave this passage to Moses. Both the man and the woman word robes. What was different was that a man wore an outer garment called a girdle. The girdle was an outer belt like garment that the man would use for two purposes. One he would gird up his loins to run in battle secondly he would gird up his loins to work in the field. The rest of the time the girdle would be worn around his waist ready for use. The woman did not wear a girdle or bind her garment at the waist. In do so you show the beautiful figure that God gave to the woman. I believe God wants that figure covered except for her husband. In Genesis, God clothed Adam and Eve covered them with coats of skins. Which the word coat meanse a drapped garment. Man had his own standard, aprons of fig leaves. Aprons are a wide belt. Yet in the presence of a Holy God those coverings of man were not sufficent. God knows that lust is created in man through sight. Seeing women and their beautiful figure was meant for the husband and wife to enjoy. God states that the woman or the man that dresses like the other would cause great confusion and lust. Those that have trusted Jesus Christ as their Saviour will one day wear white robes of righteousness. We will not wear pants and shorts and worse in Heaven.

  • Patricia on Proverbs 29:15 - 11 years ago
Funny how fundamentalists don 't enforce Solomon 's proverbs about beating all fools on the back with a rod. What about preachers who commit adultery or see prostitutes? Why not spank them in front of the church? Adultery 's a far worse sin than scribbling on the walls. Solomon built child eating idols for his heathen wives. So why do Christians look up to him as a child REAR ing expert?
  • Eddy A. Flick on 1 Corinthians 15 - 11 years ago
The Resurrection is the hope of each and of all the Lord 's children elected in Christ before the foundation of the world. Indeed all of those that have partaken of death, sometimes in great agony, horrible pain, in terrifying fear, and some in calmness of soul, in a quiet and peaceful moment slip out of this world in death, shall be raised in newness of life everlasting. Who says the child of God 's lot in life is a dreary outlook? No, No. a thousand times NO! It will be GLORIOUS!
  • JaySun on Matthew 7:1 - 11 years ago
"Judge not, lest ye be judged. " Be careful what you wish for because you just might get it. Be careful what you think and feel and project outward into the world from what is inside your thoughts, heart and mind because the world will become that in which you desire most. As human beings, our power is immense, limitless and all pervading just as the Father, Son and the Holy Spirit 's. Our compassionate brother Jesus Christ forewarned us of what we keep in our hearts and minds and the assessments and judgements we make about our life and the lives of others for our world around will become a direct reflection and manifestation of those judgements that we keep in our hearts and minds. Judge not lest ye be judged, except for Jesus...he can judge though right? Now why would Jesus warn us "judge not lest ye be judged, " if he himself was and is judging us by all of our thoughts, feeling and actions? It would be quite hypocritical for our Lord and Savior to be not practicing what he preached. Feel the words, try not to interpret them. Feel the Love, not analyze the hate.
  • Grant on Luke 4:6 - 11 years ago
Irene asked about Satens authority that was delivered him or given to him and where can she find it in scripture. Remember where Satan came from, heaven! There is no death in heaven. Saten and his demons were kicked out of heaven and have beaten death to this day. Who in the history of the world has lived forever? Nobody!! Even the greatest man to walk the earth died because of the will of o of his j j jthis Father. Now if you are the Only person in the world that has never died, and you have lived for centrys wouldnt you be better than the people growing old and dying all around you? Of course! Remember, humans were sentanced to death because of Adam and Eve, our first parents. Now what do you think Saten is going to do please God or be the adversary that he is? God is life! Saten wants everybody dead including you.
