  • Rev. Autrey on Psalms 65:5 - 11 years ago
Speaking of God as Jesus, Psalm 65, verses 5 and 6 read, 'You faithfully answer our prayers with awesome deeds, O God our Savior. You are the hope of everyone on earth, even those who sail on distant seas. You formed the mountains by your power and armed yourself with mighty strength. ' This perfectly agrees with what the Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John and other Scriptures teach us about Jesus. We are told in many Scriptures that Jesus is our Savior. Acts 4 tells us that there is no other name in all of heaven for us to call on to save us. John 1 tells us that Jesus created everything there is, and upholds us with his mighty power. How long, then, are we going to keep insisting that God and Jesus are two different persons? And how long are we going to insist that Jesus is not God? The longer we insist on these errors the farther we drift away from Jesus as our Savior. There was a time when we knew better. When I was a small child I often heard the old people speaking of Jesus as God. They would say 'God help me, Save me Jesus ' all in the same breath. By this I knew that Jesus was God. But now things have changed. We have forgotten who Jesus is. now we think of Jesus as some distant figure, whose identi is nknown to us. There are so many theories that I can 't name them all. The problem is, we have forgotten that God has more than one personality. As the old song says, 'God in three persons. Blessed Trinity. ' This means that God thinks in three distinct ways. He thinks Father, Son, and Holy Spiit. The Father is the way God makes his dicisions. The Holy Spirit is the way God inspires us to believe in what he is doing. But Jesus is always the way God speaks to us. God bless you!

to Richard Boakye 's remark of 7 9 2014 So you don 't want women to wear trousers, because that 's a man 's clothing. Did Jesus wear trousers? How would you see women wearing rings on their nose? Would you agree? I am sure you wouldn 't But look what Ezekiel chapter 16 vers 12 says And I adorned you with ornaments and put bracelets on your wrists and a chain on your neck. 12 And I put a ring on your nose and earrings in your ears and a beautiful crown on your head .

I know satin will be waiting to test my faith what can I do to protect myself? I 'm 54 single I was married for 16years no children I thought I did every thing God expected of myself it just didn 't turn out the way it was supposed to I used to think God made a mistake but no God makes no mistakes I can 't change the past but I have today and tomorrow is promised to know one. • Rev. Autrey on John 1:2 - 11 years ago
John 1, verses 1 and 2 read, 'Before anything else existed, there was Christ, with God. He has always been alive and is himself God. ' The key words here are 'He is himself God. ' This is the greatest proof one can have that Jesus is God. And it agrees completely with what Thomas said about Jesus in John 20, verse 28. Thomas called Jesus 'My Lord and my God. ' Then in Matthew 28, verse 9, we see the disciples worshiping Jesus as God. All of this agrees with what we read in Isaiah 35, verse 4, 'Say to those who are afraid, 'Be strong, and do not fear, for your God is coming to destroy your enemies. He is coming to save you. ' And as everyone knows, Jesus is our Savior. Please Christians! Let 's look at our Savior in the light of what is plainly revealed in the Scriptures. Isn 't the Church called the Bride of Christ? This means that Jesus is our Husband. Then, what bride would refuse to talk to our husband in prayer. This is exactly what we are doing if we refuse to pray to Jesus as God. To put it plainly, what bride would talk to her Father in law, Father God, instead of her husband, Jesus. See what a problem this is. The answer is, God has more than one personality. The Father, then, is the way God makes his decisions. The Holy Spirit is the way God inspires us to believe in what he is doing. But in all cases, Jesus is the way God speaks to us and saves us. God bless you!
  • Apostle George on 1 Corinthians 6 - 11 years ago
Iam responding to Michaela 's question above. She asked "Im openly gay but im also saved. am i still going to hell? " My response to this question is as follows Dear Michaela, First of all, if you are saved by the grace made available through JESUS CHRIST, it may be necessary for you to also research and know what the author of that SALVATION says about being "Openly Gay ". If you ask me as His servant, I will not hide it from you, but tell you openly too that "HE CREATED US MALE AND FEMALE " only. However, claiming any kind of sexual orientation is not the requirement for making heaven or Hell, but what such claims may push you into, would eventually determine a destination. For example, Whatever sexual orientation anyone may claim, if he or she commits fornication or any other sin, then HELL becomes his her possible destination. Finally, it 's worthy to know that sexual orientation is earthly, as there is none in heaven. Again, one great difference between those that are male female, and those that are gays, lesbians and Bisexuals is that the former male female derives their origin from God 's creation, while the later gays, lesbians bisexuals derives their existence from the Law of some countries. Jesus loves you!

I am responding to Polly 's Question above She asked "I am a 60 year old widow. Recently I have been blessed with a new relationship with a man who has stated will "never marry again ", due to his 25 year experience with a wife who was unfaithful. Since we are both long past child bearing years, is it still considered a sin for us to express our physical desires outside of marriage in this case in the eyes of the Lord? My Response Dear polly, the commandments of abstaining from "Fonication " or Adultery " and their likeness has no age limit, neither is it only for those within the child bearing age bracket only. If you have sex with that man in that your new found relationship, you have committed fornication. As a widow, you are Biblically permitted to marry again and enjoy sex within the confines of marriage, but doing it outside marriage is a sin of fornication.

  • John Halpin on Tobit 1:18 - 11 years ago
Why did Sennacherib so vehemently oppose burying the Jews he had slain? He even looked for the bodies and became terribly angry with Tobit for burying them. Seems a huge waste of time for a king to do this.

  • Anthony Alexis Adoasi on Acts 4:12 - 11 years ago
Who can deny it? If you seek to deny this, then look at yourself very well and answer some questions as to how you have lived your whole life if it were by your might. If you did not know, now understand that he has been watching you just waiting for you and caring for you that you might choose him and put the enemy of the brethren to shame so that your glorious life in heaven shall be assured. Amen

Sarah, Read 1 Thessalonians 5 22 Abstain from ALL appearance of evil. If you had to look at drinking and say is it Godly or Evil, which would you choose? Evil, therefore, we are to abstain not only from consumption but ANY appearance of it. You shouldn 't even carry any items that would reference drinking.

  • Rev. Autrey on Matthew 26 - 11 years ago
Jesus said in Matthew 26, verse 29, 'I tell you, I will not drink from this fruit of the vine from now on until that day when I drink it new with you in my Father 's kingdom. ' This verse has confused the Church for many years. Who is the Father? Is he another God, more superior and powerful than Jesus. Many think that he is. But the answer is, the Father is God 's other personality, the way God makes his decisions. Within the mind of God, conversation is always taking place. The Father talkes to the Son and the Holy Spirit, and vice versa. This is what Jesus meant when he said to Nicodemus, 'I assure you, I am telling you what WE know and have seen, and yet you won 't believe US. ' The WE and the US are the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. These three constantly talk to each other within God. This is how God makes his decisions. But when God speaks to us, it is always as Jesus, the Son. This is what we see talking place in this verse and all through the Gospels. So by saying 'In My Father 's Kingdom, ' Jesus was saying that within God, God 's other personality made the final decision. Again, this is how God speaks to us. 'Hi, I d like to say good day to you. I am Jesus. The Father sends his greetings, too. ' And when we ask Jesus to show us the Father, he says, 'When you see me, you see the Father who sent me. The Father and I are the same God. ' Then Jesus says, 'By the way, The Holy Spirit says hi, too. The Holy Spirit is also God. ' Al praises to the Almighty God!

  • Anna on Luke 14:26 - 11 years ago
God doesnt want us to " hate " anyone as we understand hate. The word " hate "in biblical form means to love less. Why would God say honor your father and mother then tell you to hate them? That wouldnt make any sense. God wants to be first and He is supposed to be as the Creator full of love mercy and grace none of which we deserved. Love your neighbor as yourself but put God first! Blessins!!!

I truly embrace this "Now Faith " word. I stretch my faith into the unseen path and will command that which is not to be. I believe that God had already fought the battle and won. If this faith worked for Sara, Abraham, Joseph, and Moses. Why can not it work for me also? I trust God this "Now Faith " is in actrion.
  • Child of GOD on Ruth 1 - 11 years ago
The whole subject of the Word of GOD from Genesis 3 15 to Revelation 22 21 is Jesus Christ. He is the Red Thread that binds the Word of GOD here he is portrayed as the Kinsman Redeemer. Like Boaz he is near kin to us and thru him we have redemption he pays for our redemption. Also Ruth is a love story not between Ruth and Boaz, but between Ruth and GOD. How many women would do all that her mother in law told her to do even when she knew that her mother in law was instructing her to do the best thing for herself and her future? Ruth did it because she loved GOD first and knew that her mother in law was instructing her rightly.

Why do so many christians in America keep sunday as the day of rest? I know that somewhere in hisstory the catholics changed the sabbath day to sunday, does that mean that sunday worship christians are worshiping in vain? My mother raised us as pentecostal and she walks a very straight line when it comes to her faith in God, and I have been a witness to the power of her prayer in peoples lives especially my own but she does not keep the sabbath. At this moment I do not visit any church because I find my self at the cross roads of these two days.I have read alot of literature about the Christian sabbath and what goes along with christians who keep it like not celebrateing Christmas and not eating certain foods ect. So bottom line is does God acknowledge you as a Christian regardless of the day you keep?

  • Gwen on 1 Thessalonians 4:16 - 11 years ago
If the souls of the Believers who have died are already with Jesus, why do they have to rise? Their souls are not in those bodies. The Scripture is referring to the dead bodies. They will rise and be changed to glorified bodies and reconnect with their souls. Remember when Jesus came back and showed Thomas the marks in his hands. It was the same body, only glorified.
