It cannot be disputed that oppression is directly linked to lack of love and respect for another human being. Any person who has financial riches and sees another person in need of food, clothing and shelter, and looks the other way is non other than a vicious abuser. How can a rich person who shuts his or her heart to the cries of the poor, talk about love and respect? Such a person is self centered and most certainly evil. Facing the truth, there are many of these who also call themselves Christians not knowing what perfect love is all about because they reject the truth of God 's Word for the sake of money.
  • Emem on Mark 1:12 - 11 years ago
I am particularly fascinated with the part of the scripture that says the Spirit THRUSTETH him .... The Holy Spirit can actually FORCE, COMPEL, PUSH us into going in the direction and purpose of God 's will for our life?!
  • Mark Anthony on John 4:4 - 11 years ago
Jesus had to go through Samaria, simply because He had a divine appointment there to redeem the men of that land. Remember the incidence in Genesis 34 where Shechem raped Dinah the daughter of Jacob and Simeon and Levi later on killed the men? Then Jesus was asked by His Father to go and redeem the men of that city, that is why when the woman went into the city, only the men were called. What happened hundreds of years earlier, Jesus came to redeem, by divine appointment from heaven. Do you then see why He MUST GO THROUGH SAMARIA? Be blessed.
  • David maguire on 1 Esdras 1 - 11 years ago
The earlier translation of the bible in about 1385 of John Wycliffe consisted of 80 books. JW and his team of scholars translated the first hand written copies of the complete bible canon into English. This caused much controversy in the Catholic chirch and a law was passed whereby no person was allowed to be in possesion of an English Bible. After JW death, when this law was passed, his body was exhumed and burnt together with the bibles. Why? Later Tyndale was accused of translating bibles into English and warned to stop. He didnt heed the warning and was put to death by strangulation and then burned at the stake. The King James authorized version was only Authorized after 14 of the 80 books were removed by the Church. This is tantamount to deception and covering up what did not conform to the evil that was prevailing within the Church and these books form a part of what the Bible should read today
  • Sharon daniel on Matthew 7:23 - 11 years ago
In other words, to hear Him say to us on "that day " "Well done thy good and faithful servant. " I has to do the will of our Father 100 ? This leaves no room for error, and it scares me. I have been reading and trying to live it, but, I 'm still weak, I 'm human. I am not wanting to hear Him tell me to depart from me, I never knew you " Of course, I, like most want to hear Him say, "well done, thy good and faithful servant. " I guess He wants us to continue striving for the mark, continuing to shed of sin the crud of this world and to put on our "New man. "
  • Charity on Revelation 11 - 11 years ago
I 've always been confused on the two witnesses. I was always taught that it 's two men who haven 't died yet, however in the first chapter of Revelation, it specifically says what candlesticks are. Has the meaning changed once we get to chapter 11? Revelation 1 20 states "and the seven candlesticks which thou sawest are the seven churches. " And as we know, there 's issues with most of them. So wouldn 't this mean that the two candlesticks are two churches and the two olive trees is obviously Israel? Also, doesn 't sackcloth represent persecution?
  • Dr. Free on Numbers 23:19 - 11 years ago
If God is NOT the son of man, then why Bible says he is? Thank you.
  • 2ChromeEyes on 1 Corinthians 7:28 - 11 years ago
1Corinthians 7 27 28 Art thou bound unto a wife? seek not to be loosed. Art thou loosed from a wife? seek not a wife. 28 But and if thou marry, thou hast not sinned and if a virgin marry, she hath not sinned. Nevertheless such shall have trouble in the flesh but I spare you. Those who were loosed from a wife at that time, were loosed for reason of the man having found his new bride unclean, of fornication, and had put her away, making him loosed from a wife.
  • Toni on John 3:16 - 11 years ago
People love quoting John 3 16. But who has truly sold out to the world to obtain this everlasting life that comes through believing in Jesus? It 's more than quoting this verse, or even saying "I believe in Jesus. " Jesus says "if you love me, keep my commandments. " In keeping His commandments,we must give up the world and follow Jesus. We have to deny self and take up the cross, give up the pleasures and cares of this life that choke down the word of God. It 's more than saying it, this is something we must do daily. God is not going to allow His only begotten Son to die in vain. If we don 't suffer with Him, we will not reign with Him.
  • Femy on Matthew 12 - 11 years ago

All animals ate grass back then. God would have ensured those beings He wanted to live will live. Afterall He is All Powerful. How easy for Him to make plants to grow quickly. Have you seen what happens in the empty deserts after a heavy downpour of rain?
  • Ossie on Genesis 4 - 11 years ago
Picture yourself in that time of the Bible event. Obviously a city then was much smaller with less people. And the events did not happen day by day. It 's not a running commentary in that way. If I asked you to explain your life history in 5 minutes, how would you word it? Eg. "I was born in 1970. I live in Paris. My wife is Jane. " But was I born in Paris? No, I did not say. But I am living in Paris today. And I obviously did not marry my wife in 1970. verses 1 and 2 if Gen1 are 2 DIFFERENT times. Gen1 1 was BILLIONS YEARS AGO. Gen1 2 was 6000 years ago. Now we have a CLEARER understanding. Bible is THEN consistent with science. 6000 years ago was recreating of the Earth after Lucifer Satan tried to destroy it.

There are chips out their that have a lethal dose of poison so whoever rebels against antichrist can be terminated at the push of a button via satellite radio frequency. • Nelson Martin on Genesis 1 - 11 years ago
I am a Christian so don 't be offended if I ask something I am very curious of. I do believe that God gave us the ability to reason, through deductibility, to be curious and look for answers, and simply think. As a result, I have to ask where did God come from, how long has he been around I imagine for ever , and why doesn 't the Bible emphasize more about this subject with concreteness?
  • Peter on Wisdom of Solomon 5 - 11 years ago
I do not quite understand verse 14...Why is the hope of the godly not endure?
  • Enyinnaya Cosmos on Ezekiel 5 - 11 years ago
Actually, yes.i concur to what Matthew Henry wrote concerning this chapter. But at the same time,i also want to remind us that we are in the position of Israelites, now. "How ? " Someone may ask.Because Israelites were people God loves. They Israelites also knew that. They knew how God has led, fed, protected, etc. them in the wilderness of suffery.God also gave them His Law and promised to make them His Treasured Possession Exod.19 4 6 yet that was nothing to them.God was helping them through the law so that they might not sin, according to Moses Exod.20 20 God Is holy,His people whom He called by His name 2 chr.7 14 must also be holy Lev.20 26 .in everything they were rebellious and that was why The wants to teach them a lesson. Therefore today we must be careful.most of us call themselves "christians ",but our lives do not reflect to godliness. This is our time to repent and accept Christ into our hearts today. So that when God "sees the blood,He will passover us " Exod.12 23.May God help us,Amen.

  • Thy Word is truth on Acts 2 - 11 years ago
Acts 2 38 couldn 't save a tadpole. This is a message to Jews verse 5, in Judea verse 14, in Israel verse 22, on a Jewish feast day Pentecost verse 1, see also Lev 23 15 16 . No one there asked "what must I do to be saved? " They asked "What must WE do? " This verse is speaking to Jews who had crucified their Messiah and God was dealing with them as a nation. Please don 't go to hell in this verse. Read the rest of the Book. You will find that everyone else in this book is saved before Baptism.
  • Nini m on Exodus 22:18 - 11 years ago
people, God 's Word is His Will or Plan. Do not add to God 's Word, do not subtract from it. Do God 's will. Obey. Dont be like King Saul whom God rejected because he chose to do what he 'thought " God was implying and ended up disobeying God. Suffer the witch NOT to live God knows exactly what He meant with this. What about those people they hold in bondage? Jesus fought with Sadduccees and PHarasees NOT the Spirits Remember Ahab who was ordered not to spare Benhadads life and chose to do 'his will " Disobedience. Thats what it is called. Whose will are we supposed to do anyway? What we feel is right or the perfect will of Godl. Do Gods will not what you think is right. Obey

To Lyndon s Proverb ch.24.vs 15 comment. I am sorry through what you have been going through and specially for your children s reaction to the whole situation. Continue to read verse 16, For a just man falleth seven times, and riseth up again but the wicked shall fall into mischief. I know how lonely and rejected you may feel now but don t give up hope. Jesus loves you, and He loves you more now. Don t keep any grudge towards your wife and specially towards your children. Bless them every morning . In time you heart will heal. Read the Bible more and more and why don t you speak to a Pastor? If you don t go to Church start going to one now. Make new friends . Jesus died for your present spiritual wounds , remember so you may be healed . Trust Him, pray and praise and thank Him . Always have Christian music in your new home and in your car. God Bless you and Heal you heart soon

How can Easter be the day of Christ 's resurrection? It falls on a different day every year. Instead of keeping Easter, we should try to keep Jesus Christ 's saying by the grace of God
  • Peter Ankeli on Matthew 13:25 - 11 years ago
Alexander Christian in his comment above is trying to sow tares here, but unfortunately for him, we are not asleep. How does judgement day mean destruction of Paul 's followers. Who are Paul 's followers? Even if we appear to follow Paul we only try emulate him as we saw him emulate the Master Himself, going all the way and limits to please Him. This is worthy of emulation. Known or unknown to you, there has been and will be a genuine body of believers till the close of 'time '. Never try to make mockery of Truth and Wisdom, becaus eit will show your foolishness. You can not sow weed here because we are awake.

  • Dave on Genesis 1 - 11 years ago
Why are science and the Bible so at odds over dates? Both the date of the creation of Earth and the date of the creation of man are vastly different depending on the source.
