Verse 1 says God is our Saviour. Who is our Saviour if not the Lord Jesus Christ?
Yet even the Jews understood that Christ claimed to be God, for they wanted to stone Him for this claim as St John records. If even those who rejected their Messiah and King knew this, how can we who have received so abundant a revelation in the Christian era not see?

Wondering if Laban was the only one in on this deception. If it wasn't done so in their country, seems Rachel and Leah would know that. In the first seven years, did Jacob not have any conversation with either of them?

Is there an Official ON LINE SITE I can get involved with in the KING JAMES BIBLE (Not the perverted changed versions, but the 1611 KJV?
I am Self Learned with only THE HOLY SPIRIT teaching me. I have had a life long fear of Adding or Taking Away from God's HOLY BREATHED WORD, and for that conviction I am without any church, as all add and take away. I was CATHOLIC but GOD Reached down for me in love ( 2 Peter 3:9)and I heard and was saved on or about 10 January,1997 here at my home in Rota, Spain. At that time I was attending church at a fundamental Independent Baptist Church (BETHEL) at Rota, Spain, but I heard the Pastor changing and adding to God's Word, and now I am not in church, and that is not good for any soul. But when the pastor says GRAPE JUICE where God Breathed the word WINE into the mind of the recorder to record, WHAT authority does any man have to change God's Word? (The Wine thing is in most Baptist Churches seemingly of greater concern that the saving of souls, and that is so sad).I'll be 70 years old come 24 February, and soon I'll meet my time spoken of in Hebrews 9:27, but I am saved, and that not because I deserve salvation, because I am by far the very least of all of God's Children. GRACE plus NOTHING that is how I was saved, PRAISE GOD.

"let the dead bury their dead" means - Let those who are spiritually dead - not spiritually awake - go on with their lives. They are walking, seeing, talking, etc but they are not spiritually alive - they are just like automatons - robots . "I come to give you life" - But are they anot already alive? - no. they are spiritually - dead.

  • HGalloway on Mark 8:36 - 12 years ago
Where did we get the bible? The Catholic Church. The Catholic Church held a council in which they decided which books would be a part of the canon, meaning, which books are inspired. Either the Catholic Church's decision was infallible and all the books are inspired, or the Catholic Church's decision was not infallible and therefore the other books can not be trusted as being inspired. There is no pick and choose.

No, We are not going to heaven. According to this: Matthew 5:5 — Meek Inherit the Earth.

Adam and Eve was supposed to live forgive on this Earth in Pardise and be fruit and have a children but they failed and disobey in the name of God.

He said he promised for righteous and unrighteous to live here forever and removed the wick of the system of things. Wait a minute.. Unrighteous too ? Yes.. Here: The book goes on to say—“But why will Jesus permit a man who was a criminal to live in Paradise?

Acts 24:15: I have a hope in God (a hope that these men themselves accept too) that there is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous.

Luke 23:42 42 And he said, “Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom.” 43 And he said to him, “Truly, I say to you, today you will be with me in Paradise.”

Other criminal insulted Jesus will not come with him in Paradise at all.

So that the unrighteous will have an opportunity to prove that he love God in new Earth right here. Yes, for one thousand years.

God has a name. Jesus said: “Our Father in the heavens, let your name be sanctified” Matthew 6:9.

The father has a name. Go to your bible and you will be shock even your churches a false churches do not taught God's name. God and Lord is the subjects! PSALM 83:18 -- His name is what ? Yes, JEHOVAH!

But are we supposed to pick and choose which parts of Old Testament law we will follow and which ones we won't? I don't particularly care for tattoos anyway, would never get one, and it seems to me that people with all-over 'body art' must have some sort of mental issue that makes them want to go through that much pain, and be 'decorated' all the time. All that said, while I would love to point to this scripture and say God forbids tattoos, what about some of the other things in Leviticus that we happily ignore? The New Testament addresses some of this, and lifetime Christians ("Gentiles", in the NT) seem to have fewer restrictions than Jews who convert to Christianity. Sacrifices are no longer required, of course - Christ was THE final sacrifice for all. By His words, He also, I would argue, abolished the death penalty and 'an eye for an eye'. God is the final judge. We are to forgive out enemies (70 times 7 ring a bell?). But are tattoos or 'scarifiction' still forbidden even to Christians? I would think so, and after seeing some pretty horrifying pictures recently, even WISH so. But, still... is it up to us to judge? CAN we, as Christians, do so?

I believe that it's either that Pharoah was stupid or over presumtuous.
How can he ask the Hebrew midwives to kill their own and expect them to do it? He was a very proud and arrogant person who thinks that nobody can disobey him. Well he was wrong because the love of God in the hearts of those women is more than the fear of him.
God was obviousely taking him through kiddergarton of who he is before the primary and then the upper school and finally the degree level of his mightiness. Aweson!

  • James W. Stark (M.M., Th.D.) on Ezekiel 33:29 - 12 years ago
The phrase "Then they shall know.... is so often used yet even after the fact of each particular scenario where such a phrase is used, Israel continues in sin. What would be a more logical explanation for the word "THEN"/?

The word "THEN" is from the Hebrew καιG which can mean copulative or cumulative; The "THEN" is a one time event at the end of the Gentile Age and the defeat of any or all enemies of Israel. This might account for why the overlap of time after the 2300 days (7 years) of Daniel 8:14; time toe cleanse the Temple.

In my humble opinion, this is the THEN. it all adds up to a single point in time.

  • Angel on John 6:54 - 12 years ago
We are to observe the Lord's supper in that we continually ingest Christ into our lives and being. We are to allow Him to take over our lives by surrendering all to Him and allowing Him to work through us. We are the vessels but He is the one controlling and using the vessel for His purpose so that we show forth Him to others. Others see Him and not us even to the point that a stranger can walk up to us and say, "You are a Christian aren't you"? We should show forth that much difference that our very appearance shines Christ to others w/o a word spoken. We must decrease and He must increase. We have to empty ourselves of us and allow the Holy Spirit to fill us for the glory of God.

  • Graham on Acts 16 - 12 years ago
I have often heard people quote only part of verse 31 saying believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved. I have also seen signs and posters quoting the same. But if we read all of verse 31 it reads They said, believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved and thy house. Are we to think that the jailor could believe and save not just himself, but his house as well? Obviously a person can believe only for themselves. I believe that the apostles were speaking under the anointing of the Holy Spirit (how else could they have known the jailor had a family?) telling the jailor that if he trusts in the message of Jesus that later that morning him and his household would end up being saved. (meaning future tense.) If we look at the following verses, we see that they spoke to the jailor and his entire family the word of God. Only after hearing the word of God were the jailor and his entire family saved.

  • Arthurs Comment on 1 John 1:9 - 12 years ago
1 John 1:9 was written to Gnostics teachers who had infiltrated their ranks and John was addressing them. It was not written to believers.

Consider this: In the old testament, the Hebrews confess their sins to have their sins covered for one full year under the old covenant when, under the New Covenant, many christians confess their sins daily? is not the blood of Jesus better than that of bulls and goats?
If confessing is vital to forgiveness why did not Paul, the man that God used to write thirteen different epistles, mention anything at all about confessing sins in any of them?
When you accepted The Lord Jesus Christ you were translated from darkness into the light and all your sins have been forgiven past, present and future. Alleluia thank you Jesus!!!

People should prayerfully study the word of God and get the right interprtation from the Holy Ghost so as not to add nor subtract from it and incure the wrath of God. How can that person said that the prayer meeting that the apostles had before the Holy Ghost came they used rossory? I was once a catholic. I want you to know that everything they do there is base on the tradition of man. Therefore my friend, repent and believe on Jesus. The Mary catholic worship is a very strong religious spirit. Mary the mother of Jesus did not teach people to disobey her creator - Jesus. In the wedding in Cana, she told her disciples "Whatsoever He saith unto you, do it ". Act 2:5.
  • Joshua on Proverbs 6 - 12 years ago
its funny how it says here in Proverbs 6:16-17 "These six things doth the LORD hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him:

17 A proud look, a lying tongue, and HANDS that SHED INNOCENT BLOOD" because most people that own slaughterhouses and people that support them claim to be followers of LORD CHRIST the most compassionate and merciful! When he himself says to love thy neighbor! Even thy enemy! Is it so hard to refrain from killing these innocent animals and shedding INNOCENT BLOOD when our LORD and SAVIOR says to love thy neighbor? Why dont we consider trees our neighbors? Or Cows? or ants? or anything that lives around us in this UNI-verse? please tell me? because King Solomon who is one of Jesus Christ's relatives says that GOD hates hands (not claws) that SHED INNOCENT BLOOD. Please share the wonderful news for peace on Earth. LOrd Jesus says "Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, as in heaven, so in EArth." Their is no killing in the kingdom of Heaven, so please don't eat any more meat or support any innocent animal killing industries.
  • Pauline on Acts 13 - 12 years ago
Verse 51 reminds me of Christ's instructions in Matthew 10:12-15:
12 And when ye come into an house, salute it.

13 And if the house be worthy, let your peace come upon it: but if it be not worthy, let your peace return to you.

14 And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear your words, when ye depart out of that house or city, shake off the dust of your feet.

15 Verily I say unto you, It shall be more tolerable for the land of Sodom and Gomorrha in the day of judgment, than for that city.

How do we receive the word of God? Do we select what we want to hear or receive it with gladness?
  • Timothy osterlund on 1 Timothy 5:23 - 12 years ago
God, thru His writers, heavily criticizes drunkeness, debauchery and carousing. It is written, "Be not drunk with wine, but be filled with the Holy Spirit." So be careful of what you bring in to your life. Can a man take fire into his bosom and his clothes not be burned?
