  • Barbaa on Revelation 6 - 12 years ago
I always wonder how much of this text has been embellished through the centuries by well-intentioned (or not) translators who brought their own perspective.

Man's interpretation of God's words have often been suspect--used to manipulate and control others...

If God is actually Love, how can it be in His nature to punish His children so?
  • Grace Christos on Genesis 3:1 - 12 years ago
The snake was more crafty than any other beast God made, does it mean there were other crafty animals?
  • Loriann R. Lewis on Psalms 1 - 12 years ago
When I read Psalms 1, what sticks out in in one of the verses is how we are blessed when we don't walk in the counsel of the ungodly, ungodly counsel can get you in a lot of trouble and believe you me whether it's coming from the saints or the sinners, you have to be careful where you are getting counsel from. In other words make sure it lines up with and in the Word of God? It can mess with your life Be blessed!!!
  • Normand O. Leclerc Jr. on John 12:44 - 12 years ago

John 1,1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
    The Word is God
    Jesus is God.
This above scripture says it all.
    Revelation 19,13
And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God.
So if Jesus name is the word of God,, say it slow
    beginning was the Word,
and the Word was with God,
    and the Word was God.
Don't you see that Jesus & God are 1 in the same??God the Father, God the Son & God the Holy Ghost all together and 1 in the same.
Look at it like this Okay-> A MAN-> :You are a Father, But you are also a SON & you have a Spirit. But you are just 1 person.
    Blessings

Does this mean He (The Lord) will cut short someone's life?
  • Babalola adenike on Revelation 22 - 12 years ago
in my own opinion both the book of life and the Lamb's book of life are the same thing. We need to work out our salvation with fear and trembling so that our name can be written in the book of life. This last chapter help us to know that the time is at hand when everything written in the book of revelation will come to pass.Where is your destination when trumpet sounds? you must give your life to Jesus and live a holy life so that you can make it to heaven. Without Jesus no heaven for you. please invite Jesus into your life right now because Jesus is the only way to heaven.

  • Rev. Autrey on Romans 4 - 12 years ago
(Verse 2) "Was it because of his good deeds that God accepted Him? If so, he would have had something to boast about. ..." This means that Abraham did not have any good deeds to make God accept him, nor do we. Abraham lived in Chaldaea, a pagan land. And he knew nothing of living by the law. So the law could not have been the standard by which he was declared righteous. His faith was!

It is the same for us today. Yes, we know of the law, and we can read it anytime we want to. But the truth is, the law was not given to the Gentiles, only to the Jews. That is, when Paul went to the Gentiles, their background was paganism, not the Law of Moses. That's why James, in Acts 15, did not try to impose the law upon them as a condition for salvation. They were saved by faith, or their belief in Jesus.

Faith implies friendship. That's why God said of Abraham in Isaiah 41:8:"But as for you, Israel my servant, Jacob my chosen one, descended from my friend Abraham." And so it is with God's people today. We believe God, as all good friends of God do. This is a new and different way to relate to God.

"But now God has shown us a different way of being right in his sight--not by obeying the law but by the way promised in the Scriptures long ago. We are made right in God's sight when we trust in Jesus Christ to take away our sins. ..."

    God bless you!
  • Wayne Harlow on Nehemiah 2:1 - 12 years ago
The Christians in the church today need a Nehemiah to lead them back to Gods way. I am saddened to think of how we Christians act and to know how GOD wants us to be. Just one example is the Sabbath keeping. It's just another day now
We wonder why our children seem to have little or no interest in GOD and it's our fault for not taking one day a week and rest and tell them about our GOD. Remember the Blue Law? What Happened to us?
  • Ndahayo on Luke 13 - 12 years ago
Luke 13.1 this is a prophetic verse or it was just some illustration?
  • Brock on James 1:27 - 12 years ago
Unspotted means anonymous, your father in heaven knows and will reward you. Good people I have known, there good deeds bear the testimony. Why would we want others to know the good things we do, helping the needy. Jesus forbade those he did miracles for healing blind to not tell anyone. I have seen politicians go and appear to work with his family, washing dishes in a soup kitchen that was already clean. Was he unspotted? I should say not he was on CNN. To

I don't understand it. It right or not to speak in tongues. I thought it was right but the way I am seeing this verse, it says it's not right to speak in tongues. What are they saying? Is there a difference between speaking with and/or in tongues? I am confused now. Please help as I am learning the Bible and want to know what I am learning is the truth. Thank you.
  • Jack Russell on Revelation 14 - 12 years ago
The mark is an economic ID device like VeriCHIP RFID. The image is TV/video which the antichrist will be seen on when it is revealed to the whole world, or a major part thereof. It will be revealed to all those who are hypnotised by TV, who will worship it as the antichrist's image when he is revealed on its screen. He will not be on it all the time; he will know to exercise restraint so as not to become overfamiliar; but on it he will be seen sometimes, such as The News. The other programmes, whether they be Coronation Street, The Simpsons, X Factor, or movies will all be tools incorporating something of his message, presence or adoration, and will be regulated to ensure nothing evil is said against this monster. Make no mistake, ladies and gents, TV is (to be) the Image of the Beast. The Beast is the empire or global organisation, the antichrist its ruler, and the currency of the empire is the economic RFID mark of the beast. They are not (just?) casing Christians, they are casing everyone to enforce worldwide acceptance (by businesses and peoples alike) of the economic standard mark.
  • Will copeland on Romans 8 - 12 years ago
So, believer.. how do you read? "Thou shall not".. if carnal you will read "Don't do!!!" and like Paul you will struggle. But, Romans Chapter 8 unveils the mystery of the New Covenant.. Jeremiah looked forward to this day in Chapter 31 as does the book of Hebrews when they spoke of the mystery of "Christ in us the HOPE of Glory." Jesus hinted at this when speaking of John the Baptist. Christ said of John, that "he was the greatest ever born of woman...but the least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he." If you would, Jesus was pointing to a single difference between the Old and New Covenants.. if you would, John, was still in the drivers seat of his life..A new day would be coming, and now is when the believer lets the Spirit of God drive the car.. Life lived in submission to the Spirit of God allows us the privilige to read "Thou Shall Not" as "Thou Will Not" or "Wont Do".. God actually rights His will on fleshly tables of the heart. The heart is known for being the central boilermaker of the will and if God lives in the Heart the behaviors grow like fruit from the vine.
