How about first defining the words "fornication" and adultery. In the old testament fornication is defined by *** before marriage, adultery is when a married person (note: a married person) has *** outside of their marriage.

So clearly Jesus can't be saying: if a man devorces his wife because she had *** outside of the marriage he is making her have *** outside the marriage. It was to be that if the man finds out his wife was not a virgin then he could devorce her. If not so than why would he be using two different words (fornication and adultery) to explain the reasons for devorce? I believe God wants to heal every marriage, even though adultery has occurred. I am finding the book of judges to be very meaningful and captivating. Did God see that if he were to give the Medians over to Isreal who obviously were in greater numbers after the battle would Isreal become arrogant in ways and may become like their oppressors? I agree that GOD has sent HIS Son for a purpose.Purpose being that we all should believe in HIM,it is stated clearly where it says "that whosoever BELIEVETH IN HIM." should not perish. it is HIS will for us all to believe in HIM and have everlasting life. It clarify's it in verse 36, where again it say's "He that Believeth on the SON shall have everlasting life." But does it mean if I hear about HIM and attend church on Sundays and go to Bible studies and do all the goody two shoe stuff to look holy n all, does that means I am exempt from being perish? Hello, I hope you don't think that just because you look Holy, act Holy and go Church mean that's all it is to be exempt from GODs wrath, cause Baby it's not. My comment on this chapter; on verse 9, which speaks on Thessalonians turning from idols, and this is my response on that: We must all turn from our idols, for our God is a jealous God, says Exodus 20:5, and you might say to yourself, i don't have any idols; Well........Do you watch TV for more time than you pray to God?.........How much longer do you play video games, than you pray, (FOR THOSE WHO PLAY VIDEO GAMES) and my goodness think about how much more disciple, we have on ourselves for making money, than we have for doing God's will; Which if you look on the back of a dollar bill it says "in god we trust".....Whoa...What a statement. Do we trust in money, more than God? ......I mean, we'll even diet for our bodies, more than we'll fast, for God to give us his power to help others. ........ This is a real reality check for those of us who believe that we're idol free. satan is never going to show us, where, and how, he has us bound; it is on us, to judge only ourselves, and no one else.
