  • Israel on Romans 8:26 - 12 years ago
I think the difference of the word intercession in the greek gives some light to this as well. The Greek word for Intercession in verse 26 is slightly different than in verse 27. The main difference is the preposition 'Huper', which is part of the word Intercession in verse 26, but not in verse 27. Since the preposition 'Huper' means both: In Behalf Of and Above in Time, honor, and position; this intercession is that of the Holy Spirit's (which is Above us in time, honor and position) and intercedes with our spirit. And since the Holy Spirit knows our infirmities and our hearts in creates this intercesssion. Any Opinions??

There is an inherent guilt when we are trying to do things that we know are wrong. How would you act if you were always worried about being exposed for things you feel guilty for? Would that shape you? The Bible says yes. It is the person who doesn’t try to cut corners at other people’s expense who can sleep well at night. The security of integrity is far greater than the anxieties that come with any wealth created by corrupt practices.
  • Grant on Isaiah 43:10 - 12 years ago
All translations say there was no God formed after or before God. Simple, eazy, very eazy to undestand. No mystery here. Where do theTrinitarains get two more Gods?

    How many chapters in Proverbs?
  • One on Matthew 18 - 12 years ago
    Matthew Chapter 18.

The importance of humbling ourselves, seeking to find peace with one another, and truly forgiving eveyone who has ever offended you, no matter what they have done to you.

    How important is it for us to search ourselves, and seek to find if we still have a grudge toward anyone on this earth; Wow it actually means life or death! If we don't forgive immendiatly, or asap; We have the danger of walking around with a hidden offense in our hearts; where we can't see it, or be aware of it, and not even realize that it's been the reason for most of the damage in are lives over the couse of the next ten to 20 years, or more;

Killing our marraiges, harming are children's lives, destroying the quality of our lives, and after all that damage; Then sending us to hell?............

How devastating, How major! it seems to be one of the most inmportant focuses of our lives, cause without mercy; we are not forgiven, thus damed.
Jesus says in Matthew 18 between verse 3&4 that if we don't humble ourselves as a little child, we won't make it to everlasting life; Which is that perfect life; the life that God intented for us to have.

So here we have: HUMBLE YOURSELF,BE CAUTIOUS NOT TO BE OFFENSIVE,SEEK FOR PEACE, AND FORGIVE EVERY OFFENSE ANYONE HAS EVER GIVEN YOU; Without, we have no salvation, and are doomed.

Why does it say "replenish the earth" as in "Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it"
The word means restock/restore as in restore AGAIN?
  • Caspar on Acts 16 - 12 years ago
v.14...we have, one of the operations of the HOLY SPIRIT.Observe...which worshipped GOD...and what is worship? It is meditating on Him,searching for Him by prayer and reading HIS WORD....heard..."faith cometh by hearing the word of GOD"...attended...that she analyzed attentively...whose heart the LORD opened..."he is a rewarder of those that diligently seek him".
With a clean and unadulterated heart with correct worship, it is only then that the LORD will "open the scriptures" to us.

It was everyone who was doing this, not just Ham's descendents! Otherwise why confuse everyone? Why just not confuse the tongues of those who participated?

    Wesley's Notes

Sorry, but you are wrong. Life after death is a pagan philosophy insituted by aristotle and socrates to dumb down the masses. They didnt believe in it al all. There is also many bible quotes that back this up. Think about it, if the soul was immortal and instantly rose, then what would be the point of the ressurection and 2nd coming of Jesus. The bible says, "The dead in Christ shall rise" and the sea will give up its dead. If judgment happened already why would this be necessary??
  • Mark on Genesis 1 - 12 years ago
in the beginning the earth was WITHOUT FORM, there was no earth,

Merriam Webster definition number 2, I think fits properly with, WITHOUT FORM,

    2: containing nothing

There had to of been a period of time when the dinosaurs roamed the earth, I don't see how we could deny that, because of fossil evidence, Did man cohabit with the dinosaurs? I kind of doubt it, or maybe man existed within the Garden of Eden and the dinosaurs existed on the outside of the garden at the same time and God kept them separated, then the dinosaurs were killed off before they were kicked out of the garden,

The beast of the earth, were these the dinosaurs? or elephants, rhino's and such? Did the dinosaurs cohabit with the cattle, elephants and rhino's? I kind of doubt it, maybe the cattle existed with man inside the confines of the garden of Eden, maybe the garden of Eden was a Huge vast of land,
    I don't know,
  • Bro. Daniel FC on Hebrews 7 - 12 years ago
    @ Reggie,
Comments on Hebrews 7:8. You say: “The only way to pay tithes today is to witness that Jesus lives... Our life then becomes a living epistle, in honoring our Great High Priest”.
While I like very much the idea of honoring our God by our lives, as “living epistles”, I don’t agree with your idea of not paying tithe. Here’s why: The “tithes and offerings” principle/law was established by God way before Sinai. Remember Abraham paying tithe to Melchisedec ( Genesis 14)? The tithes were supposed to take care of the “men of God”, the poor and the orphans. The tenth belonged to God before the cross, and is His today. The same Apostle Paul says: “The labourer is worthy of his reward” ( 1Timothy 5:18), and “Even so hath THE LORD ORDAINED that they which preach the gospel should live of the gospel” ( 1 Corinthians 9:14). You don’t suppose the Gospel Workers should be paid of government subsidies?! … Your reference to Romans 10:4 doesn’t apply. Here’s what bro. Malachi says: “Will a man rob God? Yet ye have robbed me. But ye say, Wherein have we robbed thee?: In tithes and offerings ( Malachi 3:8).
But the best argument of paying tithes and offerings is made by Jesus in Matthew 25:40, “Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto Me”. And you know what will happen to those who don’t… God bless.
  • J.R. on Genesis 3 - 12 years ago
    @Herman German III,

They were pretty dumb back then. Same continues now. Ask yourself this: If you were a Jew back then and you actaully had the shekina glory take the form of a pillar of fire at night and a cloud during the day and have it actually lead and talk to you, AND see moses face shining after he left the tabernacle..how could you possibly doubt? The hebrews doubted anyway and had that physical manifestation of God.
  • Denise on 2 Chronicles 7:14 - 12 years ago
We are the land...The parable of the seed in different types of earth...That is us. Just as the "seed" is the word of God.
Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done IN earth, as it is in heaven. Notice IN not ON.
The promise of our inheritance is our healing.
2Cor 4:7 "But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us". Lamentation 4:2
"The precious sons of Zion, comparable to fine gold, how are they esteemed as earthen pitchers, the work of the hands of the potter"
When Jesus died, he gave us life. How much more healing would you want?

The serpent had a seed..Cain. Follow the lineage of Cain and u will see it coming to head in the end time as the anti-christ. Why did JESUS SAY TO THE SCRIBES AND PHARISEES "U ARE OF YR FATHER THE DEVIL?
  • SarahJane on Jonah 3:9 - 12 years ago
When I was reading a book and read this verse it said if God would "repent", I was shocked to read this and I even asked some friends about the bookn and we agreed it was not a true Christian book, God doesnt need to repent, He is Almighty God, then I returned home and was ready to email the book's author but decided to look this verse up and it does say in several translations that ig God would repent of His anger, I'm a bit puzzled? god may change His mind but repent?? any thoughts?

    What is Zion?

Zion is God's city. The bible made mention that Abraham was looking for a city, God's city. Isaiah says in Zion, the people there shall not say I am sick. It says there is no barrenness in Zion. As people born of God, we dwell in His city, Zion.
  • Douglas Turner on Ecclesiasticus 43 - 12 years ago
Beautiful. Verses 27 to 30 inclusive. e.g.Verse 28. "How shall we magnify him...? A question which touches the very heart of the mystery of God. How can we magnify his incomprhensible love, power, and creativity? Beyond human understanding but revealed to us in and through the prophets and Christ.
  • Mark on Acts 10 - 12 years ago
    Mathew 28,18-19

Jesus himself spoke and gave the instructions

And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.

19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

What am I to withstand God?
I dare not call Jesus a liar and say it is not so,
  • Mary on Genesis 1:26 - 12 years ago
    Proverbs 3:5,6

God knows that our "will" would always be our biggest hurdle to giving ourselves completely to doing God's Will - let go and enjoy His abundant joy & peace; He Loves Us despite our wicked ways & gave up His most precious Son just to be able to have us in His presence - could any of us do that? Not Likely :(
  • Mark on Acts 10 - 12 years ago
Chapter 11 Verse 17, Peter ADMITS that he is nobody to argue with God, It is God's plan to give the Holy Ghost unto the Gentiles, not Peter's, God gave them the Holy Ghost even before they were baptized with water, God gave the Holy Ghost to those who believed,

Who are you to withstand God's plan of administering the Holy Ghost? Who is anybody to argue God's plan and what he did? Peter the Apostle recognized it, Teach the full truth, instead of bits and pieces and call that "what the Apostles taught" tell the truth of what Peter the Apostle admitted to,

Forasmuch then as God gave them the like gift as he did unto us, who believed on the Lord Jesus Christ; what was I, that I could withstand God?
  • Jaff on John 16 - 12 years ago
Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you.

    who is the comforter ??

12 I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now.

13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.
Who is the spirit of truth ? what guidence given by him to mankind ? what are the things he shew to mankind?
  • Phinehas on Joshua 8 - 12 years ago
Dear brothers and sisters! I have a question. Is it a sin to deceive the people of Ai? Does ambushing disagrees with the command "thou shalt not lie"?
  • Ciscokid on Romans 1 - 12 years ago
Do I lie if I say Romans 1 is an Epistle, a letter to the church at Rome? Why then does the Christian world--DIRECT-sinners to Romans 10:9-10 for the purpose of accepting Christ as their Savior??? All of Romans, the complete book are letters, Epistles to SAVED FOLKS. Could some one explain--why this has been done for hundreds of years???? I would love to hear a SCRIPTURAL answer.
  • Ciscokid on Romans 10 - 12 years ago
It's unwise to point sinners to Romans 10:9-10--the Epistles are letters to saved Saints. I realize this has been done for many years, never the less, it makes no sense. Why would anyone assume that an Epistle, a letter to the (CHURCH) Saints at Rome, be considered instructions on how to be saved?

  • Georgia Chance on Luke 18 - 12 years ago
Wow... How off track is that! Really? These were hand picked disciples who were the ones who set up the 12 tribes of Israel in which we celebrate our Church Christian Families today. Our Christian Families our Church Families! Jesus tells us to have these relationships (remember Paul setting up the church's like the Corinthians for example. Maybe you need to read Romans and Acts a little more carefully before you make a comparison of Christians to Manson. Yes we tithe but we are tithing to help the elderly, poor, and missions in order to spread the word of the Bible which is a guide book of how to live our lives correctly. Some, like the disciples, are called to "give up" (which I would say are blessed to serve) to go into the mission field and serve those who don't have. I will pray for you that the Word of God will open up to you as you study further. My love in Christ is with you. I hope you will take my message in Love. Georgia
