mean charity starts at home?
Mathew 17:21 was also left out entirely by some translations or wasn't noted in italicize as being added for the same reason.
Jesus told the disciples it was because of their little faith that they couldn't cast out the spirit not because they didn't fast.In fact Jesus is not going to scold the disciple for something he didn't require them to do. Mat 9:14 Then come to him the disciples of John, saying, Why do we and the Pharisees fast oft, but thy disciples fast not?
Mat 9:15 And Jesus said unto them, Can the sons of the bridechamber mourn, as long as the bridegroom is with them? but the days will come, when the bridegroom shall be taken away from them, and then will they fast.
Jesus said well render unto god what is gods and he gave us free will to humble it back to him and life by faith that pleases him!
If we die and are in paradise, who are the dead in Christ? I am confused but not as confused as the comments above.
SO -- THERE WON'T BE ANYONE MARRIED IN HEAVEN?
PLEASE HELP ME TO UNDERSTAND THIS VERSE!
How were Adam and Eve meant to understand good and evil when they had no knowledge of it?
New King James Version (NKJV)
Faith Without Works Is Dead
14 What does it profit, my brethren, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can faith save him? 15 If a brother or sister is naked and destitute of daily food, 16 and one of you says to them, “Depart in peace, be warmed and filled,” but you do not give them the things which are needed for the body, what does it profit? 17 Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.
Psalms 14:2 The LORD looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, and seek God.
Psalms 14:3 They are all gone aside, they are all together become filthy: there is none that doeth good, no, not one.
Psalms 14:4 Have all the workers of iniquity no knowledge? who eat up my people as they eat bread, and call not upon the LORD.
Psalms 14:5 There were they in great fear: for God is in the generation of the righteous.
JUDGEMENT IS FOR THOSE WHO WORK INIQUITY AND COMMIT SIN, OLD OR NEW TESTIMENT THE LORD DOES NOT CHANGE ONLY PEOPLE DO, STOP SINING AND START LIVING IN RIGHTEOUSNESS
1 "Who hath believed our report? and to whom is the arm of the LORD revealed?"
Notice when reading further into the chapter on 53:2-6.
2 "For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him."
3 "He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not."
4 "Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted."
5 "But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed."
6 "All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all."
Notice how Isaiah refers to himself as a different person than the Christ, even in the number of those who hid their faces. Isaiah refers to the Christ as "He" and himself as one of the "We".
Also, Matthew 6:12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
