    I am really loving the theme/design of your web site. Do you ever run into any browser compatibility issues? A handful of my blog readers have complained about my website not operating correctly in Explorer but looks great in Firefox. Do you have any recommendations to help fix this problem?

    Since there is controversy on baptism, go to the instructions given on the day of Pentecost. It is so plain; even asking the question before giving the answer. What must we do? The one, Peter, who has the keys gives the reply. REPENT, AND BE BAPTIZED "EVERYONE" OF YOU, IN THE NAME OF "JESUS CHRIST" FOR THE REMISSION OF SINS, AND YOU SHALL RECEIVE THE GIFT OF THE HOLY GHOST!!! NOW I ASK YOU HOW MUCH CLEARER CAN IT BE?
  • John on Jeremiah 10:23 - 12 years ago
    I think that Jeremiah 10:23 is an important verse that reveals the truth that the freewill of man is not a bible based teaching. This verse, along with many others proves that God's sovereign will alone is free and that man's will is subservient to His will. We are responsible to God not because we are free, but because God has decreed to hold us responsible for the actions which He has so decreed that we would perform from all eternity. Proverbs 20:24: “Man's goings are of the LORD; how can a man then understand his own way?” (KJV). Proverbs 16:1, “The preparations of the heart in man, and the answer of the tongue, is from the LORD” (KJV). Psalms 37:23, “The steps of a man are established by the LORD; and He delights in his way” (NAS). Proverbs 16:9 9, “The mind of man plans his way, but the LORD directs his steps” (NAS) Isaiah 46:10, “Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure” (KJV). Dan 4:35, "And all the inhabitants of the earth are accounted as nothing, but He does according to His will in the host of heaven and (among) the inhabitants of earth; and no one can ward off His hand or say to Him, 'What hast Thou done?'” (NAS). Rom 9:19 19 Thou wilt say then unto me, Why doth he yet find fault? For who hath resisted his will?” (KJV). Genesis 45:7-8, “(7) And God sent me before you to preserve you a posterity in the earth, and to save your lives by a great deliverance. (8) So now it was not you that sent me hither, but God: and he hath made me a father to Pharaoh, and lord of all his house, and a ruler throughout all the land of Egypt” (KJV). Acts 4:27-28 “(27) For of a truth against thy holy child Jesus, whom thou hast anointed, both Herod, and Pontius Pilate, with the Gentiles, and the people of Israel, were gathered together, (28) For to do whatsoever thy hand and thy counsel determined before to be done” (KJV).

    @Rich,
    All you need is summarized in one verse, 2 Timothy 2:15:
    “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.”
    You have to apply of your best to learn the word of God, which is also the will of God, knowing God will never ask you something that you cannot do.
    Romans 10:
    6 But the righteousness which is of faith speaketh on this wise, Say not in thine heart, Who shall ascend into heaven? (that is, to bring Christ down from above:)
    7 Or, Who shall descend into the deep? (that is, to bring up Christ again from the dead.)
    8 But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;
    So you need to attend a church and do what you are taught. There are some churches which teach ungodly ways of living. But your heart will never believe lies, unless you deny reason by yourself.
    May God lead you in the light of Christ Jesus our lord and savior.

    @Erika,
    I can see how the Word of God can be a little confusing sometimes. That's why we must study. God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit are one. John 1:1: "In the beginning was the Word, (meaning Jesus), and the Word was with God (Jesus was with God in the beginning), and the Word was God (meaning Jesus is God). How do we know that the Word we are referencing is Jesus; one might ask. Let's look at John 1:14, "And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth. We can say that Jesus is the fleshly part of God. There's so much to this, so you will have to read and grasp the full meaning of His word. Also Jesus is at the Father's right hand in heaven. Sorry I can't expound more because I too must study. I hope this helps.
  • Timothy Wayne George on Isaiah 53:1 - 12 years ago
    Who had believed the report? To whom hath the arm of Yahweh been revealed? In heaven there are three that witness to the report: God the Father, Jesus the Son, and the Holy Spirit; their testimony is one. On earth the Water, the blood, and the Holy Spirit. If you receive the testimony of man, then the testimony of God is greater. Jesus came unto His own people, the Jews, and they received Him not. So to as many as received him, the Gentiles, they became the sons of God. I thank God that I believed the report, and received Jesus as my Savior. When He prayed Father forgive them, He included you, and me. Praise God that by His stripes I am healed spiritualy, and physically. I pray that if anyone thinks He is only a prophet, yes but more than a prophet, as He is our great High Priest, and He will come back as King of Kings, Lord of Lords. So receive Him today, and He will save you too.

    @Henry,
    My comment is that most people who make comments regarding the scriptures do not take the bible seriously, have not learned how to study the scriptures( 2 Timothy 2:15), are not much interested in putting the scriptures into practice in their personal life. America is and will continue to suffer at the hand of God because we have become morally and spiritually bankrupt, because we have become bible ignorant. Mainly because we have turned ourselves over to liberal pastors and liberal churches who preach and teach liberal and ignorant theology. What do you say bout that?

    The correct wording is; we are to be baptized in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Ghost? I am still a little confused...Father meaning God, Son meaning Jesus?
  • David livingstone on Romans 3:23 - 12 years ago
    All humans are guilty of this 1 Kings 8:46a (for there is no man that sinneth not). Job 15:14, 'what is man, that he should be clean?’; and he which is born of a WOMAN (Adamic nature) that he should be righteous? So until you allow Jesus into your life Today, that glory is absent. Colossians 1:27 says Christ in me the hope of Glory. Receive your glory now by saying after me 'LORD JESUS, I believe in you now, all that sacrifice was for me, I accept you today, come into my life an restore the Glory. AMEN. GOD bless you.
  • Lobeski on 1 Corinthians 8 - 12 years ago
    @Jundaguit,
    You have done justice to this issue. The explanation you gave is very succinct. Jesus also said he had declared the Father's name to the people, the name which the Father has given him. Jesus the man is 'the body prepared for me' spoken of in Hebrews. In his baptism, the fullness of Godhead dwelled in Him since the Father/Spirit descended from heaven like a dove and dwelled in Yeshua. Remember that the book of Mathew says that Yeshua grew in knowledge, wisdom, stature and favor with God and man! So this explains it. He can grow in all these as a genuine human being. Why is it that some Christians like to call others’ name instead of searching the truth? You said someone is promoting Oneness doctrine. So tell me which one is the truth between knowing God as One manifesting in different offices and God as a three Persons in One, co-equal, co-substantial, co-eternal? Trinity is simply false and paganistc. Jesus does not dwell in the Godhead, the Godhead dwells in Him. Many have simply misunderstood the scriptural distinction between the Logos (the Word; the Spirit of God) and Jesus (the Jewish Messiah; the man) in the process of incarnation. The Son is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature.

    @Ron Steward,
    A lot of good comments here all about one God but what do you do with John 3:16 “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son.......” Can you be your own son. Can you give yourself to yourself. And Genesis Where it says "Let Us make man in our Own image. Does God talk to himself? And David said "The Lord said unto my Lord sit the on my right hand......" Again, does God talk to Himself? There are three God-heads but these three are as one. This is hard for flesh to comprehend as we cannot imagine three people acting as one person so much so that you would think it was just one person but this is exactly what the Trinity is. 1 John 4:15 "Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God." I confess that Jesus is the son of God. How can you be your own son? It is wrong, How you made it as trinity Where Bible said that Father, Son, and Spirit are one?

    The people themselves need to pray. Not on again off again prayer. Prayer is a state of mind. The mind of Jesus in you. It is clear that the mind of Jesus is not in the leaders of North Korea. Is it any wonder why they are in the predicament they are in?
  • Naa on Genesis 4 - 12 years ago
    @Julia,
    One thing I've started to realize after going to an awesome Bible study is that the Bible doesn't tell of every single thing that happened, day by day, year by year, every single incident. So WHEN did Cain speak of these people? WHEN did Cain kill Abel? And WHAT happened in between that time? As we all know, the life span of people in those days were much longer than ours. For all we know, Cain could have killed Abel when he was 90 years old or 200 years old for all we know. I also noticed that I did not see any time span between when Eve had the two. I only see that she begat Cain and that she again bare his brother Abel. Could they have been the ONLY ones she conceived at that time or just the first 2 sons?... I notice that in the Bible it is common to note the men/sons who were born, but not so much the daughters. So who is to say that there were no daughters born to Adam and Eve during the time of Cain and Abel's life? Could they have had families as well? This is just my little brain at work. I won't spend forever trying to come up with an answer I know I won't be able to answer alone without God's understanding, but that is just my little piece of the thread.

    Even after accepting salvation through the shed blood of Jesus, some believers (I mean every) has been known to sin, because our sin nature wars with our flesh and perfection has not yet come. So then who will be in heaven if all these will not be present? Are these the only sins to keep us from God's presence in heaven?
  • Brent on Prayer of Manasseh 1 - 12 years ago
    I assume you mean, why was it’s taken out of the Bible? The more important realization is that it doesn't need to be part of the Bible or inspired, to be helpful. The books within Scripture are very specific in nature, which is why the Apocrypha clearly doesn't belong. I don't want to take up space here arguing why this is the case, but many of these uninspired books are still very beneficial to read. Unfortunately, the reality that they are not inspired has caused many to believe they have little value.

    To some, God made a puzzling statement when He wrote that "time and chance happen to them all" ( Ecclesiastes 9:11). We recently encountered some who believe this means that, sometimes, bad things happen for no real reason. This seems to be a position of too much convenience. This position also avoids the diligent study that could reveal what God wants us to know. It bothers us that this position provides an advantage, without realizing it, to those who believe contradictions exist in the Bible. Bad things certainly happen. But it would be completely out of character for the same God who does not forget not even a sparrow, and who assures us that we are so much more valuable to Him. “Are not five sparrows sold for two pennies? And not one of them is forgotten before God. Why, even the hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not; you are of more value than many sparrows” ( Luke 12:6-7 ESV). Either we are valuable to God, and all that it entails, or we are not. Yet we are to believe God allows anything to happen without a reason. Think about the implications of something happening without any reason. It means one of two things: either God wasn't paying attention or didn't care. That's like calling the Almighty either incompetent or apathetic. We know that neither is true. Consider the following. God is all-seeing, “The Lord looks down from heaven; He sees all the children of man from where He sits enthroned, He looks out on all the inhabitants of the earth, He who fashions the hearts of them all and observes all their deeds” ( Psalm 33:13-15 ESV) Either God is all seeing or He is not and we must deal with the implications that that brings. God is never-sleeping. He will not let your foot be moved He who keeps you will not slumber. Behold He who keeps Israel will neither slumber nor sleep ( Psalm 121:3-4 ESV). Either God is not awake or He is awake and we must deal with all that that means. God cares deeply about His people. “For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord” ( Romans 8:38-39 ESV). Either we accept what God’s deep caring for us means or we do not. This potentially harmful position must be examined. So we must examine the alternative—that, while God does not directly cause evil, He knowingly allows it to happen. Because humanity has elected to follow its own way instead of God's, "And since they did not see fit to acknowledge God, God gave them over to a debased mind, to do those things which ought not be done. They were filled with all unrighteousness, evil, covetousness, malice. They are filled with envy, murder, strife, deceit, maliciousness, They are gossips, slanders, haters of God, insolent, haughty, boasters, inventors of evil, disobedient to parents foolish, faithless, heartless, ruthless ( Romans 1:28-31 ESV). God has, in essence, taken a step back from the world when it says it doesn't want Him around. He is allowing its inhabitants to see the result of a life without Him. That result is, from a human perspective, time and chance. Let us repeat, for emphasis: It is from a human perspective that God is not in control, not in His sound reality. From our earthly, secular and imperfect way of seeing things, random chance has its way, against the plan of God. It is not holy, spiritual or perfect to hold the position that things happen without reason. Perhaps you know someone battling a life threatening medical problem. First it is not necessary or essential for us to know the mind of God in this unfortunate situation. Second, it remains true that God can and does provide the avenue of prayer for him/her and all of us around him/her to seek the strength this person and those around them need to continue in grace and righteousness without doubting God. Third, we must not attribute to God what we have no evidence He did. When the elderly die not of disease, but simply the body God meant to be temporary finishes it use, according to the time and will of God. Many people say, hopefully in ignorance, “God took Grandmother”. God in reality simply allowed her soul to rest in Abraham’s bosom after the body served its purpose. This assumes that she was faithful – regardless of how loved she was. Being loved by others is no replacement for obeying God’s plan for our salvation. Though God has not lost the ability to restrain Satan and his demons at will, humanity has forfeited God's protection by turning its collective back on Him. As a result, "Again I saw that under the sun the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, nor bread to the wise, nor riches to the intelligent, nor favor to those with knowledge; but time and chance happen to them all" ( Ecclesiastes 9:11). Another reason, that bad things happen, is the result of humanity's choices; as a result of sin and forsaking God. But none of them happen accidentally or apart from God's will. As it is written in the Psalms, "Behold the eye of the Lord is on those who fear Him, on those who hope in His steadfast love" ( Psalm 33:18 ESV). That is a promise that those who hold that things happen without reason should consider. Everything in life, no matter how minute, occurs for a reason. Nothing, however bad it may seem can justify randomness outside of the will of God. "No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it" ( 1 Corinthians 10:13b ESV). "Behold the Lord's hand is not shortened, that it can not save, or His ear dull that it cannot hear. But your iniquities have made a separation between you and your God; and your sins have hidden His face from you so that he does not hear" ( Isaiah 59:1-2 ESV)."And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose" ( Romans 8:28 ESV).

    I BELIEVE, HAVE FAITH, AND KNOW THAT I HAVE UNDERSTANDING. BUT DO I KNOW ALL THINGS THAT GOD SAY? NO. BUT I STILL SEEK TO KNOW! MY LORD AND MY GOD CHRISTJESUS MADE SURE I KNEW WHAT REOENT MEAN, IT MEANS TO TURN AWAY, TURN AWAY FROM EVERY WEIGHT THAT IS HOLDING ME BACK FROM DOING THE WILL OF GOD, AND RECEIVNG HIS GRACE!!! JESUSCHRIST TOLD ME THAT THERE ARE MANY ANTI-CHRIST IN THE WORLD, THEY OF WHOM WE WOULD HAVE NOT EVER THOUGHT, EVEN OUR OWN FAMILY THE MOST, AND THEY THAT ARE CLOSE TO OUR HEARTS.
    AND SAIS IN EPHESIANS 6:12, WE WRESTLE OR FIGHT NOT WITH FLESH AND BLOOD(NOW I UNDERSTAND WHY MY UNCLE ALWAYS TRIED TO FIGHT ME, AND WHY OLDER MEN ARE ALWAYS JEALOUS OF YOUNG MEN!!).
    IT IS NOT THAT MAN IS JEALOUS OF YOUNG, BUT THAT GOD CREATED MAN TO DO HIS WILL, AND AFTER HIS LIKENESS, AND THAT YOU HAVE THE DEVIL ROAMING TO AND FRO, LIKE A ROARING LION SEEKING WHOM HE MAY DEVOUR, DESTROY!
    GOD STILL SPEAKS TO US, AND SAID IN REVELATION 16:14, THAT, THEY ARE SPIRITS OF DEVILS/DEMONS, WORKING MIRACLES/OR PERFORMING SIGNS, WHICH GO FORTH UNTO THE KINGS OF THE EARTH AND TO THE WHOLE WORLD, TO GATHER THEM TO BATTLE AGAINST THE GREAT DAY OF GOD ALMIGHTY... UNDERSTAND YOU NOT THAT THE WORD OF GOD IS TRUTH, QUICK, AND POWERFUL AND SHARPER THAN ANY TWO EDGED SWORD, SERIOUSLY AS GOD TOLD US IN HEBREWS 4:12..
    AND IS A DICTIONARY, AND A CONCORDANCE, AND A HISTORY BOOK! THIS IS CONFIRMATION THAT THE WORD OF GOD, IS REALLY THE WORD OF GOD AND NOT OF ANY MAN( 2 PETER 1:21).

    I believe that such holidays are Satan based, if God had meant for us to celebrate Christmas he surely would have made clear the date of Jesus' birthday. Easter? Where is it written that we are to celebrate His resurrection? It is written that we are to celebrate His sacrifice for mankind though.
  • LauraBabora on Leviticus 18:22 - 12 years ago
    I would just like to point out... THERE IS A PASSAGE THAT SAYS WEARING TWO DIFFERENT MATERIALS OF CLOTHING IS A SIN, YOU'RE ALL SINNERS. & No Christian can tell me that they abide by that rule because none of you do. Also, sleeping with another man before you're married is a sin. Guess most Christians are AGAIN going to hell for that. There are MANY contradictions in the Bible. I am Catholic & I believe in God. That doesn't mean that I praise the Bible like it is the almighty source of information. Many of the contradictions go against what I've been taught that God says we should do. Many of the passages in the Bible are contradicting to another passage so therefore, what do I believe? So, in the end, I put the Bible aside & say to myself that as long as I am a good person with good morals, who does not kill, who does not steal, who does not commit any big wrongful crime, I am going to be okay & God will accept me. God will love anyone... NO MATTER what sexuality they choose to love. Therefore, God will love me in the end. I believe in God. I believe there is a Heaven & Hell. But I do not believe he will punish someone for something as small & intricate & mundane as loving the same sex.

    Solomon was black. Caananites were of the sons of Ham who is father of black/negro race. Ham-Cush, Mizraim, Phut, Caanan. Judah first wife was canaanite(black). David had 4 sons (including solomon) with Bathsheba (Canaanite/hittite). Solomon was black. hebrews were black already. If Ham was father of black/negro race then Noah or his wife had to be black. A white man and white woman can never produce an african child. They lack melanin so no matter how long they stay in the sun they will never be as black as the darkest african. Why would got create a race that cannot withstand the sun? Hence the effects of white skin and sun=sunburn(red skin), skin cancer, sun spots. Its a no brainer. dominant traits of original man is brown skin/black hair/brown eyes. Look at all the other races in the world. European white man is only thing on this earth other than animals that have naturally occuring different color eyes. Look it up!

    Verse 19 "What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you." We believe God is omnipresent. But somehow we forget that God lives in us. "Greater is he that is in you than he that is in the World." Israel is a chosen generation; you are a chosen generation too. Israel is a royal priesthood, you are a royal priesthood too. Israel is a holy nation, you are a holy nation too. Israel is a peculiar treasure, you are a peculiar people. Israel is the wife of Jehovah, you are the bride of Christ. *Israel built the temple, you are the temple.

    Why are you crushed oh my soul? Why are you disquieted in me? Hope thou in God: for I shall yet praise Him. Who is the health of my countenance, and my God. No matter what the trial, God gives us hope, help, and healing. So rather than being depressed, praise God, just as the deer pants after the water brooks, so we must pant after God, the living God. Jesus said because I live, ye shall live also. The thief comes to steal, kill, and to destroy, but Christ comes that we may have life, and that more abundantly.

    The Apostle Paul told us to speak the truth in love so, and that’s how it goes. You say that you cannot find a whole chapter on prayer; what did Jesus go into the garden for? Pray! What about when he charged his disciples, asking them if they could not pray for one hour. How about in Matthew 5 when he told us how to do what? Pray! When Peter was imprisoned in Acts, what the church did? They prayed! In Acts 10 Cornelius did what? He prayed! Look for God's gold Sir, search the scriptures! No scripture on Tithing? Malachi 3 said if you didn't pay your tithes you did what? You robbed God in tithes and offering and that you were cursed with a curse. In fact we don’t need a whole chapter for God to declare it, we need to obey what is there, we need to submit. We don't like that much word. The great commission truly did declare us to go forth baptizing in the NAME. Father, son, Holy Ghost are titles not a NAME. If you research this, you will find in Acts, which is the unfinished history of the New Testament church, every time someone was baptized, it wasn’t done in the titles it was done in the Name of Jesus. For WHAT? The remission of sins! Read it for yourself. In fact in Acts 19, Paul asked the disciples of John what baptism were they baptized in, then they were re-baptized in Jesus’ Name. Why because the power is in that NAME, the remission of sins is in the act of obedience to God's word! When we are baptized correctly, the blood has been applied, we arise in the newness of life! We have put on Christ! We have been buried with him in baptism! If it wasn't important why did Peter preach it so ardently on the day of Pentecost to a multitude of 3,000 people? A word about tongues; The word said that tongues would cease when? What happened? When HE that is perfect has comes, that’s really what it says. Tongues have not ceased! In fact if you look at it, Paul said that he forbids not to speak in tongues that he spoke in tongues more than you all! No, when we receive the baptism of the Holy Ghost, we will speak in other tongues as the spirit gives the utterance. No Sir, that experience is still for us today, then are we born again, as John 3:3, 5 said, “born of water and spirit”?

    So many believe that Jesus meant this symbolically. In fact, it is the ONLY documented many of His followers leaving Him over something He said ( John 6:66). If it was symbolic, then He surely would have said, "Remember those parables? This is one. Come on back!" Instead, He simply asked the apostles, "Will you leave too?"
