  • John Denava on Psalms 83:18 - 12 years ago
Well in my mind I knew "Jehovah" was the highest father in heaven and so father, now rest on your seat on throne forever till Jesus who is on your hand right side becomes high King from earth when all Christians will be raptured to heaven to see the father and Lord, and will know them face to face and are glad to see own eyes. For best we will see Jesus coming down from and know who is? Amen. Praise the lord Jesus and the Father.
  • Paul on Exodus 19 - 12 years ago
Grace is not a ticket to sin. Grace is the New Testament or grace covenant. What, shall we continue in sin that grace may abound, God forbid. In Ephesians 2, the works that are spoken of are the works of the Law (Old Testament); offering goats and bulls and the keeping of holy days, etc.. Jesus said unless your righteousness exceeds the righteousness of the Scribes and the Pharisee’s (Old Testament), you shall in no wise inter into the kingdom of God. Romans 12, I beseech you brethren that you present your bodies a living sacrifice holy and acceptable unto the lord which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind (New Testament). Galatians: Be not deceived; God is not mocked, for whatsoever a man soweth that shall he also reap. If ye sow unto the flesh ye shall of the flesh reap corruption. But if ye sow unto the spirit, ye shall of the spirit reap eternal life, (New Testament). Ephesians 5, For this ye know, that no whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God; that also is in the New Testament. Jesus said Enter ye in at the straight gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat; New Testament. James 2:17, Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone. 18 Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works. 19 Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble. 20 But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead? 21 Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar? 22 Seest thou how faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made perfect? 23 And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God. 24 Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only. 25 Likewise also was not Rahab the harlot justified by works, when she had received the messengers, and had sent them out another way? 26 For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also… all that is in the New Testament.
Don't let someone fool into the broad and easy way with his/her greasy Grace doctrine. Jesus said sell all you have, deny yourself and come follow me.
  • Julia Nze on Genesis 4 - 12 years ago
I just have a question and would really appreciate answers (if anyone has got it), Cain talked about getting killed after punishment had been pronounced on him; if he was the first born of Adam and had just killed the second other human aside from his parents, who were the people he spoke of?
  • Timothy Wayne George on Psalms 41:9 - 12 years ago
Yea mine own familiar friend, whom I trusted, who did eat of my bread, hath lifted up his heel against me. The fulfilment of this verse happened at the Last Supper, the Lord Jesus said to all the disciples, that one of you will betray me. They asked who? Jesus replied the one who sops bread with me. The disciples did not know it was Judas Iscariot, until he betrayed the Lord with a kiss, in the Garden of Gethsemane. The Lord wants all of us to examine our hearts, to see that we truly love Him with all our heart, mind, and soul. We do this by caring for the needs of the poor, and the Lord remembers us, in our time of trouble, and delivers us.
  • Fran on Ezekiel 25 - 13 years ago
Does that mean if I try to make right what was done wrong to my family, I am displeasing God the father. I must turn the other cheek for atrocity to my family, even if I am within the boundary of the Laws of man?
  • William B. on Deuteronomy 6:5 - 13 years ago
The Lord thy God (Lord of life, God of all created and evolved). God gave us a Heart when we love the Lord God with all our heart, then we are truly alive; for he gave us a heart to love him with all our Soul, Our entire being (all our mind and senses). You know God's entire being; life-love force encompasses the universe, eternity, surely a fragment of our mind, heart and soul is what he gave us to (look at all we’ve made for this life on Earth that God gave us). Haven’t you done all that you could with all your strength and might. Lord God, let us all by evolvement or your creativeness, LOVE YOU with all the heart and the souls you gave us to live in, and with all our might to care for the Earth that is not ours but God’s. Do you have a mind? Or do you mind knowing that the power of our mind was given to us. Do you know why? Because when your mind is on the LORD THY GOD WHO MADE US ALL IN HIS IMAGE then you shall surely know the meaning of the greatest command ever spoken by his Son. How much does God love you, he gave us to know the meaning of love. His son gave his soul (life for us to his Father), so we could keep ours. The one thing on Yeshua's (God's Son) mind was that he did this from his heart and what did he have in mind when he gave all his strength and might on the torture stake. Next time you hold a child in your arms you may see the answer clearly. For God's Love goes on forever. Are you ready to step into eternity with his God’s son, in the purest words ever spoken. Then Love the Lord thy God with all you heart, for then Yeshua becomes part of your living soul and with all your might and strength you have left. Say Yes Lord God I love you! Why? because Eternity waits for those who can live by this greatest commandment! Have faith in the LORD GOD'S LOVE. YOU KNOW THAT GOD ALWAYS wins. Why? Because he said so, GOD'S LOVE ALWAYS WINS. Thank you Lord for allowing me to type these words.
  • DANIEL on John 3:8 - 13 years ago
The holy ghost where it wishes can make you hear the sound, voice; the Greek word is phone. Meaning voice, tongues; so it is with everyone born of the spirit. See Acts chapters 2, 10, and 19; Mark 16. It’s easy; no tongues no holy ghost; then you’re none of his.

  • A.R Methula on Genesis 3 - 13 years ago
On verse one, it states the serpent was more subtil:
    1. Where did he get that more subtilty?
    2. Why is the serpent unable to talk today?
    3. Does the tree of the knowledge of good and evil still exist today?
  • Addie on Prayer of Manasseh 1 - 13 years ago
This was great, why would it be taken out? I am a ex-addict, drunkard saved by Jesus Christ who has changed my life. I have been clean for 6 years, or better and saved for 5. This would have been of a great help to me and will be a help to people I know now.
  • Larry richards on Luke 3:23 - 13 years ago
What does "being (AS WAS SUPPOSED) the son of Joseph" mean? Does it mean that God in his infinite wisdom and abilities found a method for Mary to be virgin, and yet for Joseph to be the biological father of Jesus? Is such thing possible today via medical procedure? If so, then why couldn't God have done the same or similar thing?
  • VJ on Isaiah 56:10 - 13 years ago
    Brother Tim,
You implied that 'voting for budget cuts that hurt the military that is responsible for protecting the Country is somehow negative.’ Where in the Bible does it say we need a massive military, and a 60B/month defence budget? Do you justify the atom bombs, Gulf of Tonkin Incident, Iraq war, 9/11 (not the result but the perpetrators), and so forth which many consider fake? Please let’s remain in the word of God, and separate ourselves from the military and politics. Thanks and all the best.
  • Biodun Williams on Ephesians 1 - 13 years ago
The Word of God is the will of God, and where there is a will there is a way. This letter of Paul to the Ephesians has always been a great blessing to me, and that has been through several times. In this commencement of Ephesians 1, Paul affirms that God has blessed us with all spiritual blessings, in the heavenly places. And that connotes that as Christians, we should not fight one another. And that is because godliness does not fight godliness, neither does righteousness fight righteousness. As a matter of fact, looking at it very well, they are meant to complement one another. And If you don’t know what God has been doing, or that he has done, in and through another, then you can’t fall into assumption and think that is appropriate. And that is one of the reason why Paul wrote the way he did, to remind us, as saints and believers, that we are already blessed. And if we are blessed, then what is the fight with others that are in in the things of the Holy Spirit? Honestly, if we know who we are as individuals, in the LORD, based on the covenant we won’t get into any fight with one another. What we have been called into is to fight the good fight of faith. He did not say that we should end the good fight of faith. Some of us perhaps, instead of reflecting on the Word of God, are reflecting on the letters of the Word, and that is not right. As matter of fact, you can’t talk about others carelessly or anyhow, that is because righteousness has it’s semblance from the Holy Spirit and does not do whatever he likes. And hence the import of true discernment. The truth is God does not reveal His secrets to His enemies, therefore the carnal nature is an enemy of His creature. If we are truly saints, then sanctity and uprightness have been imputed in us through the Holy Spirit. I thank the LORD, that I know who I’m, in Christ Jesus. and that is through the grace of God that has been bestowed upon me. And that is what stirs me up, into rejoicing, in the Holy Spirit; for it is not by power nor by might but by the Spirit of God. You see, where there is no true fellowship, there can’t be genuine relationship. And hence you can’t expect real friendship, in that type of situation. I believe that is worthy of note. And that is because, every relationship that must stand the test of time, must be first based on love and truth. On a personal note, I love the Word of God and that is the reason for this; and truthfully in all genuineness, I have never seen anything like the things of the Holy Spirit before in all my entire life. God is good and He is forever faithful. Therefore it is imperative we have total dependency on Him and His dictates.
  • Larry richards on John 3:8 - 13 years ago
There is but one reason that we hear the wind blow but know not where it goes. Wind (air in motion) is INVISIBLE. And so, He says, those who are born again are invisible. After, yes after, one is born of the spirit of God, he sees and enters into the kingdom of God, in a form which is invisible to (then) Nicodemus and we on earth now. Little wonder that Nicodemus responded: "How can these things be?" Even now, this can be hard for one to understand.
  • Larry richards on John 3:2 - 13 years ago
On this night, following a full day in which a large number of people watched Jesus perform many miracles, I wonder where everybody else was? Perhaps having dinner, or a nap, or on a date, or at a party. At any rate, too busy to visit Jesus. All but this one very good man who wanted to learn more from Him. Far from showing scorn, our loving saviour responded by teaching him how we see and enter into the kingdom of God.
  • Jean gadsden on 1 Corinthians 3:11 - 13 years ago
What is the meaning of foundation?
  • Samuel Thomas on Numbers 17 - 13 years ago
    @Sean,
If one man sins against another, the judge shall judge him; but if a man sins against the LORD, who shall entreat for him? 1 Samuel 2:25, In the wilderness journey they always rebelled against God, tempted God, provoked God, Grieved God. These were not some fairly minor offences! But as we are in this Grace period, we ought to believe the Holy Scriptures, and walk accordingly. Believe in Jesus, take water baptism and receive Holy Spirit, and be ready for the soon return of Jesus Christ our Lord.
  • R. D. Mattock on 2 Corinthians 4 - 13 years ago
On verse 1, Webster says that Mercy is the goodness of God sent to relieve misery. I differ, Webster was a man who coined definitions. Mercy is much greater than that. In the Old Testament when God’s people were outnumbered by enemies that surrounded them, God told them to bring the praisers out. Then God told them what to say. “Praise the Lord, his Mercy endureth forever.” Mercy is deployed to defeat enemies. Mercy becomes one of the most powerful combatant elements of God’s nature. Have you ever thought of Mercy as being combatant?
  • Jim on Ezekiel 1 - 13 years ago
Here's the problem. This book is unlike any other book in the Bible in that Ezekiel describes in his best vernacular of the time, a machine, or a thing, that affects and is affected by the natural world. It includes a being that he says has the LIKENESS of God. Remember, you will NOT "see" God and live. So this is NOT God. In addition, it is so critical that an Omnipotent Being named God flash fire and smoke and noise and lightning and heat and roaring noise… come on, that's absurd. And finally, there are a LOT of 'actors' here. Who are the six "men" with weapons? Who is the one other person, "a man" with the clipboard?
  • Can the wives of those that are made eunuchs by mutilation be allowed to marry other men?
  • Bro. Daniel FC on Exodus 20 - 13 years ago
    @Clint,
Can you be more specific? Of course we all want to make a point to underline our own belief. The question is: Does that match what the Bible teaches?
  • Ejay Villame on Acts 2 - 13 years ago
The Scripture here is correct but why does the picture is NOT correct? Acts 2:2 says: “And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were SITTING”. THE APOSTLES AND THE OTHER PEOPLE WITH THEM ON THAT DAY WERE [sitting] AND NOT [standing] AS WHAT THE PICTURE SHOWS IN THIS WEBSITE!
  • Albert on Matthew 17 - 13 years ago
Jesus said “Elias truly shall come first to restore all things”. People missed the Elijah of their day. Have you recognized the Elijah God sent us for this age?
  • Jim Stubits on Revelation 13:18 - 13 years ago
I have made a board game called six hundred threescore and six to unfold the mystery of this number. Interesting.
  • Calvin on Acts 14 - 13 years ago
In chapter 14, I see the longsuffering of the evangelistic trail. This is not surprising, but to be expected. If God was longsuffering towards us, how much more will that be expected of us? Keep walking the walk.
  • Hope on John 11 - 13 years ago
This chapter is encouraging to my life. Sometimes we ask God: why bad things happen? We think we are so unlucky and if God was there with us, then why did it happen? But here we see that He saw it even before it happened. Let us give Glory to God for everything that happens in our lives, He knows all about all of them.
  • John Bonhom on Job 1 - 13 years ago
Why did Job believe his sons had sinned?
  • John Bonhom on Job 1:4 - 13 years ago
I am confuse about Job 1:4 when the sons feasted on his appointed day. What is the appointed day?
  • Shania on Song of Solomon 1 - 13 years ago
It does not matter at all, whether Jesus was black red purple or green. What this is about is Jesus' love for us? The only thing that matters is his love. He doesn’t care if we are black or not, so why should we care whether he is?
  • Steve on Mark 10:21 - 13 years ago
He loved him. He demonstrated that love for him by telling him what he must do in order to worship and become a disciple. The rich young ruler could have had vast satisfaction and blessing in obedience, but rather chose to be rich, how sad. He could have had great comfort in knowing he had forsaken all for The Master. Instead he doubtless lived a life of misery, never being satisfied with the wealth he loved more than his Savior.

Do we repeat this same mistake? Surely this man was a child of God for Jesus 'loved him'. Nevertheless, his selfishness hindered his joy in this time world.
