    I still don't know what this means, break it down in a simple term. Does this mean Jesus doesn't have a place to live, so he must keep on the road preaching the gospel? He has his place to rest in heaven, right?

    Comment on verse 26:
    1. This is a very misunderstood passage simply because people continue to make remarks about biblical scriptures without research and studying ( 2 Timothy 2:15);
    2. Can anyone of reason truly believe that Jesus is teaching us that we must hate our family members in order to love and follow him?
    3. Only an antichrist that rejects God's word and the truth of biblical philosophy would come to that conclusion;
    4. The meaning behind the word hate is the same found in Genesis 29:30,31. Jacob truly loved Rachel more than Leah in verse 30, but noticed the word hate used by God in his description of how Jacob feels towards Leah in verse 31;
    5. There are times when God uses the word hate in his describing of a feeling of one person over another when it is just a matter of a person having a more affectionate preference over someone else;
    6. To get the true description of Jesus is saying in verse 26, go to Colossians 3:1-4;
    7. True example of God's hatred about someone or something can be found in Proverbs 6:16-19.

    A deep reflection of this portion of the book emphatically relays and calls for sober moments in attempt to verifying our status in Zion post captivity and the likes of Babylon. It finally leaves with us the question: has Psalm 1 been fulfilled in your life? If not pray as you give God no rest until....

    If it says God is not man, because man sins, is that the only attribute that separates man from God, and the only attribute that Jesus had that none of us has? What about self sufficient which is an attribute of God almighty as we all know, then how come Jesus had to eat and drink and answer the call of nature and live as man lives, we don't deny he was superior as he did miracles, but did he in fact himself need protection and to pray to God almighty for himself as well, and how we can say he is God or the begotten son of God when we cannot attribute any of these characteristics of man to God almighty for He is beyond our imagination?

    For I am the Lord I change not, therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed. After such an assurance what other question do you have? Friends let’s just pay the tithe and offering and see if HE will open the windows of heaven. Of course HE WILL.
  • Insight 777 on John 10 - 13 years ago
    Verse 18; No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This commandment have I received of my Father. Jesus from the moment of creation had eternal life. He has the power to raise the dead to life again. Jesus, the Son of God, is not a coward and does not fear death. When he prayed that the burden be lifted from him it was, not fear of pain or death. Jesus feared being Sin, as he had to become the Sin of Christians and kill it on the cross. In that way his followers were cleansed. Jesus knew that the moments before death when he became sin that God, his father, would reject him. That separation from God is what Jesus feared. That is the pain that is unbearable. Jesus proved he became Sin when he shouted out, asking My God why has thou forsaken me? This is the lie Satan wanted the world to hear, to spread doubt in the minds of mankind. If God rejected Jesus then everything Jesus taught is a lie. God rejected Sin, not his Son Jesus.

  • Insight 777 on John 6 - 13 years ago
    Everyone needs to understand the HUGE difference between what Jesus is saying in verse 53 and verse 54! In verse 53 Jesus is saying that the Son of man will demand people accept his false religion/doctrine or die/be killed. What Jesus says in verse 54 means if people accept the Christian doctrine of Jesus, they will have eternal life. Jesus has called Bread "doctrine" in scripture. St Matthew 16: 11, How is it that ye do not understand that I spake it not to you concerning bread, that ye should beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees? 12 Then understood they how that he bade them not beware of the leaven of bread, but of the doctrine of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees.

    I think that as Christians we are always running the race of fear which separates us from GOD and as a result, we end up putting a blame on JESUS. The question is, how do we conduct our ways, is GOD with us everywhere we go? Do we invite him in all that we want to do in our lives? The answer is NO. For the simple fact that we only need GOD when it suits us. It must come to an end that act of selfishness, I also include myself too, that I must play my part and change for good.

    Beings from the spiritual world? Could these spirits beings be those whom God was talking to when he said "let US make man", "in OUR image"? Took earth women for their wives....God said "My spirit must not forever be disgraced in man who is evil, I will give him 120 years to mend his ways." Then evil beings from the spirit world were with human women and produced giants. When God saw the wickedness and where it was headed sad that he was he destroyed every living breathing thing on earth except Noah and his dependants plus two of everything else. Are these beings angels? Were they angels? And did they become the fallen angels, Satan and his followers/demons? I don't remember this lesson in Sunday school or Bible study class. Were they all destroyed in the flood or just their wives and subsequent giant offspring? Lord help me to understand your word. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
  • Insight 777 on Matthew 26 - 13 years ago
    "Ye know that after two days is the feast of the passover, and the Son of man is betrayed to be crucified." Jesus is the Son of God. The Son of man is EVIL which will be crucified. The power of evil will be destroyed when Jesus, as a sacrifice for mans sin, briefly becomes Sin at the moments before his death as he shouts out, "My God, my God why hast thou forsaken me?" God did not forsake Jesus his son, he forsake Evil, the Son of man. Evil/Sin is crucified on the cross. The Son of man, evil, has no power over people that accept the sacrifice of Jesus who destroyed sin on the cross for all that love God and accept the Son of God, Jesus, as savior.

    Jesus was killed by the Jews because he called himself the Son of God and refused to be called the Son of man. 1 Corinthians 1:26-29 reads "God has chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise and God has chosen the weak things of the world to shame the things that are strong." I believe Matthew 25:1 means, that a ruling Religion that defines heaven in its terms (be likened to the real heaven) will state that a man can have many wives; 1 groom and 10 brides. Or, perhaps these "brides" that are required to have oil may be nations that are required to have energy reserves when the Son of man takes over. Verse 8, This is exactly opposite of what Jesus taught! Only a selfish, non-Christian person would not share. Would Jesus accept a person that lacks charity? Jesus tells us to be charitable. Verse 11, Jesus is LORD of Lords, so not every man called lord is Jesus! Would Jesus turn someone away because they lacked something that can be bought or were slow in coming to him? Jesus forgave the thief, while on the cross; he does not reject people because they come to him late. Verse 14, This is the parable spoken of in Luke 19:11-26; people want to know when Jesus would return. It is shown in the Bible that he will not return until after 3.5 years of WW3. The Son of man is the evil “nobleman went into a far country to receive for himself a kingdom and to return”. The people of that kingdom that is overtaken did not want to serve him. Verse 24, Jesus does not steal! Reaping where thou hast not sown, Jesus is kind and loving to those that serve him. His lord (Not THE LORD which is Jesus) calls the man wicked because the man did not give the lord more than his lord gave him. This lord does not deny that he steals! Verse 27, Jesus does not approve of usury! "If he has exacted usury Or taken increase -- Shall he then live? He shall not live! If he has done any of these abominations, He shall surely die; His blood shall be upon him." ( Ezekiel 18:13). Verse 29, This sounds like a caste system will be set up. The rich will be given what the poor has and the rich has to give to the ruling ”lord” to win his favor. Verse 30, Jesus does not destroy/cast out people that are not able to teach his doctrine or that are not good businessmen. Verse 31, The Son of man is evil and the holy angels will meet him in battle; the throne of glory for evil is WAR. Verse 32, The Son of man will rise to power at the signing of the WW3 peace treaty and separates Christians to be persecuted. Verse 34, JESUS, the King, calls out to his followers. Verses 35 and 36, Jesus explains His chosen people have charity, kindness and justice. Verse 44, Jesus tells the followers of the Son of man that they turned away the poor and did not help those in need.

    I really felt good with the answer Nathanael got and also my greatest happiness is when Jesus asks Nathanael if he believe because Jesus said to him he saw him under the fig tree? And Jesus also promising us that today we have seeing him and we shall continue to see greater things in our life, what a wonderful savior. Thank you Jesus. We love you. What day is the Sabbath?
  • VJ on Genesis 4 - 13 years ago
    @Sean,
    Wrong, the 6th and 7th day were only 24 hour days (used in conjunction with morning and evening and number). The Hebrew word 'yom' when used with morning and evening always refers to a 24 hour day. Do you think the plants waited thousands of years for the animals to give them CO2 and fertilize them? Take the Word literally, no need for a guru to explain it.
  • Vj on Genesis 4 - 13 years ago
    Why interpret the 6th and 7th day as a thousand years each, when God used these in conjunction with 'evening and morning'? To misinterpret this is to misunderstand creation and the Sabbath. God did not give us the time of a day in heaven yet (in Genesis) for a reason. Did the plants wait around thousands of years for the animals to come around and bring CO2 and fertilize them?
  • Insight 777 on Mark 15 - 13 years ago
    When Jesus cried with a loud voice, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? It was his last spoken message to mankind. It was his last lesson to Christians to teach something important about God, Jesus and ourselves. Do you believe God would ever forsake Jesus, his son? This question is a test of faith. If the answer is yes then you have learned nothing from the Bible, the teachings of Jesus and his disciples and you are not a Christian. You looked but did not see and listened but did not hear, the word of God. God did not forsake Jesus and Jesus will not forsake you if you have Faith in Jesus and Love God. So why would Jesus, who does not lie, say, “My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?” I believe it was because he was dying for our sins as man’s sacrifice to God. On the cross, Jesus became mankind’s Sin that is rejected by God. Jesus did not know what it felt like to be “Sin” and cried in anguish over the rejection of God’s approval. God did not reject Jesus, he rejected the sin of mankind and demanded that it perish forever. God never stopped loving Jesus. Always remember why God rejects sin; living a life that rejects sin is loving Jesus and his Father.

    61 But he held his peace, and answered nothing. Again the high priest asked him, and said unto him, Art thou the Christ, the Son of the Blessed? 62 And Jesus said, I am: and ye shall see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven. Jesus is declaring that he is the Son of God. He then predicts what will happen to the Jews. He tells the Jewish high priest that the Jews will see the Son of man (evil) sitting at the right hand of Power (not at the right hand of God where Jesus sits). Jews will see powerful evil men in the clouds (jet fighter planes) that will come to destroy them. They have Power because they take over the world during WW3.
  • Insight 777 on John 5 - 13 years ago
    1 John 5:5 Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God? So therefore, Jesus is not the Son of man but the Son of God. To be accurate Jesus could be called a son of a woman but not the son of a man. His father was not a man. 22 "For the Father judgeth no man, but hath committed all judgment unto the Son:" 27 And hath given him authority to execute judgment also, because he is the Son of man. Because of its placement, verse 27 seems to confuse people. "He" spoken of is not Jesus himself but the one Jesus uses his authority over in judgment; the "he" spoken of is evil. Because the "Son of man" exists there is a need for judgment. The Son of man is evil personified. So Jesus will judge "they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation."
  • Timothy Wayne George on 1 Peter 4 - 13 years ago
    It is time for judgment to begin from the house of God, for if the righteous are scarcely saved, what hope have the ungodly? We must not suffer as murderers, thieves, or gossips. We must suffer as Jesus suffered, and commit our soul to Him. God will judge all those who falsely accuse you at the appearing of Jesus Christ. So walk in love, for love covers a multitude of sins.

    A strong thought here why would God talk to himself, Jesus was not crazy, God is not neither. He did not have a split personality. Jesus said the father is greater than I. Greater means plural more than one great greater. Please open your bible to John 14:28 and help me understand this reasoning that Jesus is his father first born. God and Jesus do not play games, they have no split personality sicknesses. John 5:36 he said the father sent him here. I am thinking Jesus said clearly his father sent him. God can do anything, God does not have to pretend he is Jesus and act like a split personality like a sibling. God and Jesus do not talk to themselves and confuse people. We must understand the devil knows the scriptures inside out. In John 20:17, Jesus was talking to a person there, Jesus does not lie. Jesus saith unto her touch me not for I am not yet ascended to my father: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my father, and your father: and to my God, and your God. Does everyone think Jesus was crazy? Jesus told the people in John 14:10, Jesus said the father is in him and he is in the father, but here again Jesus says I speak not of myself: but the father that dwelleth in me. Jesus takes no credit for the things he did but said the father doeth the works, the holy spirit speaks, comes in people but they are not the holy spirit. I cover this message with the blood of Jesus. Amen.

  • Biodun Williams on Proverbs 5 - 13 years ago
    Proverbs 5 starts with a great and strong admonition that we should give, so to speak, committed and concentrated attention to the Word of God- and that refers to His Wisdom ( Psalms 37:4 John 15:7). But why such recommendation? It is because God‘s love is always instructional, corrective, inspiring; and as matter of fact encouraging. And in this Proverbs 5;1, Solomon, through the Wisdom of God, places great emphasis on obedience, and that is with regard to, giving attention to God’s Word. You see, the truth; God's Word, is filled with His love, truth, graciousness, peace, mercy and loving kindness. And when we give attention and plenty of time to the dictates of the Word of God, gossips, rumours, backbiting, innuendos and lies that others dish out won’t affect us. John 1:12, You see, he that loves the LORD and daily feeds and honour His Word, is hidden in Christ who is hidden in God. It is a mystery and yet it is real. Therefore, Proverbs 5 contains so much, as it encourages towards righteousness, godliness and holiness; and also warns individual Christians against immorality. When the truth of God Word is honoured, blessings become the norm ( 1 John 5:4). In other words it becomes a daily occurrence in the lives of the practitioners of the dictates of the Holy Writ, the Word of God. And with that comes genuine prosperity. It therefore connotes that the warnings against immorality are highly important for the true believer, so that the substances and such things that he carries, does not depart and flee into others habitation. And that is because the things of the Holy Spirit are not compatible with the arm of the flesh. Therefore, the reason for such strong warning and admonition, the implication of this, is that we give unwavering attention to the Word of God, and to really reflect on it and not on immorality. The more attention and time we give to meditating on the Word of God, the more intimate we become with the Holy Spirit; and the more the blessing and revelation He will pour upon us. In fact because the Kingdom of God is already inside whoever truly loves and believes God and His Word through the person of Jesus Christ, then investing committed attention to His Word and the practice of it cannot but result in outpouring of the blessings and favours of the Almighty God upon such individuals, ( Matthew 6:10; Luke 17:21, Romans 6:16). God has placed ministry gifts within the Body of Christ that we can learn from- and that is beside personal study of His Word. And therefore, it is wise to take advantage of such favours, and ministrations. And when the right type of attitude is put in place in that direction, that would result in practical righteousness, as we conduct ourselves, humbly and genuinely in line with the Word of God. In Deuteronomy 28:14, it talks about the blessings of obedience- while the other part of it talks about the curse of disobedience. When you read through it you cannot but marvel no matter who you are. And therefore the importance of taking on board God's dictates saturates and fills our being and then puts it in our mouths, as we conduct our lives in righteousness. We also declare it toward sanctification and purification, and that is because we are the righteousness of God through Jesus Christ. However, we must never forget that, all these are only for whosoever trusts and obeys; for you can't be wiser that your belief system. Hence the importance and relevance of genuine and committed obedience towards the dictates of the Holy Writ; for it has to be to you according to THE level of your dependency on God. That means devotion, humility and consecration.

  • Robert on Jude 1 - 13 years ago
    Verse 3 "the faith which was once delivered unto the saints " It is complete now as it was then. There are no amendments to it. The question may be asked do we believe and hold to it? Or something else? Faithfulness to God’s word is faithfulness to God Himself. More than can be expressed.
  • DJB on John 6:44 - 13 years ago
    God has designed and prepared a way of escape for every person, ever born. Genesis 18:14 God asks humanity," Is there anything too hard for God?" When we modernize this verse, is there anything too great to expect from His Truth, His Power, or even His Love? God is EVER-READY to save any soul that's willing to yield (humbly believe) to His Holy Word.
