    Thou shalt not suffer a sorceress to live, Exodus 22:18. Do you know that there are some individual in your life, family, school, and business that until they die you will never have your peace, breakthrough, favor and prosperity? The bible says Any woman/man using unnatural powers or secret arts against your progress is to be defeated. Start praying, and defeat them… In Jesus’ name.

  • Concena on Genesis 14 - 13 years ago
    You know that God sent his only one son to die for us to be justified and he did that so that we would have a choice to decide, if we want to be a Christian or be like the devil. We wouldn't have choice did he not send his son. Thank you, Jesus. Praise God! Bless his holy name!

    @Thomas,
    If the king thought that the fourth man was the son of the gods that he worshiped, then why did he start worshiping the Real True God? I stand by what is written here.
  • Mina on Matthew 5:32 - 13 years ago
    It means, if a man treats his wife as a sexual object and not as his spouse as God intended, he drives her to commit adultery. The question now is, who committed the sin... the husband or the wife? My thoughts, the husband. While adultery is always a sin in the eyes of God, Jesus here is warning men about other forms of adultery. This is made clear in the second part as marriage to a divorced woman is also adultery. I think you'll find the warning continues on with lustful thoughts about anyone other than your spouse is committing adultery as well. Only adultery and disbelieve are grounds for lawful divorce in Christianity. No blame is attached to the injured party if they leave the marriage. However, marriage is for life, adultery can be forgiven but disbelieve cannot be. Serial adultery, drunkenness and abuse are signs of a disbeliever. Let good men marry good women and let bad men marry bad women. My prayers are with your friend and may God show her the right course to insure her soul is happy on the day of judgment.

  • Sean Murphy on Genesis 4 - 13 years ago
    I saw a question," where did Cain get a wife?" God created mankind...all the races on the 6th day. If a day to God is 2,000 years, then there was at least 2,000 years worth of people walking the earth by the time God made Adam, which was AFTER the 7th day.

    I am not sure of the controversy about these books, but they talk about the same God, people of Israel, and God's Holy Days. So, why would we not want to read them? It seems as if someone became too wise for their own good. So, just follow the spirit that God has given you.
  • Jay on Luke 8 - 13 years ago
    Luke 8:
    1. I praise and thank God for all who have experienced the miracle of healing from the great physician;
    2. I believe the scriptures support miracle healing, but no longer support healers who claim they have the gift ( 1 Corinthians 1:22; 1 Corinthians 12:7-10);
    3. The parable of the sower demonstrates that every person ever born of a woman falls into one of these 4 categories, the first two categories are unsaved people and the last two categories are saved people;
    4. The question is which one do you fall into?
    5. God is of the same character yesterday, today, and tomorrow, but do not inject his methods into this verse ( Hebrews 13:8). His methods on how he does things do change, this is why people err ( 1 Corinthians 12:1-11) on the distribution of spiritual gifts, different types of salvation in different ages and get caught up in signs and wonders in the church age under grace.

    @Glen,
    Sorry, the Bible doesn’t say that Cain’s wife was from Nod. It rather says that Cain dwelt in the land of Nod ( Genesis 4:16), which doesn’t necessarily means that Cain’s wife came from Nod.
    Now coming to Cain’s wife, Genesis 4 is the only section of the Bible that tells the story of Cain (and Abel), though they are also mentioned in few other sections of the Bible. And one section is not enough to tell one’s whole life.
    Yet the Bible says that Adam and Eve had two sons; Cain and Abel. Cain was land tiller and Abel sheep keeper. They both offered sacrifices of their fruits and God pleased only with Abel’s and was displeased with Cain’s; which caused Cain to get wroth with Abel, and ultimately slew him.
    Genesis 4:
    ‘’11 And now art thou cursed from the earth, which hath opened her mouth to receive thy brother’s blood from thy hand;
    12 When thou tillest the ground, it shall not henceforth yield unto thee her strength; a fugitive and a vagabond shalt thou be in the earth.’’
    A fugitive and vagabond shalt thou be, which means he would have no fixed settlement, he would move from place to place, he could be seen at a certain time and disappear again.
    Verse 14 says ’’Behold, thou hast driven me out this day from the face of the earth;’’ Now, was Cain really driven from the face of the earth? The earth is figurative of man’s community. Cain lost harmony with the community.
    Verse 16 says ‘’And Cain went out from the presence of the LORD, and dwelt in the land of Nod, on the east of Eden.’’ But could Cain really depart from the presence of the LORD ? No. this simply means Cain lost fellowship with GOD; otherwise he was still in face of the LORD.
    Verse 17: ‘’And Cain knew his wife; and she conceived,..’’ Now what may be the space of time between verses 16 and 17? It certainly took many years during which Adam and Eve were having other sons and daughters and Cain was coming and going as vagabond. It is in the course of this time that he got one of his siters for wife.
    Genesis 5:4 ‘’And the days of Adam after he had begotten Seth were eight hundred years: and he begat sons and daughters:’’

  • Olayinka oye on Genesis 13 - 13 years ago
    The choices we make in life have great impact and significant role to play in our lives. Lot was given an opportunity to choose a dwelling place. Genesis 13:9 is not the whole land before thee? Separate thyself, I pray thee, from me: if thou wilt take the left hand, then I will go to the right; or if thou depart to the right hand, then I will go to the left. Lot lifted up his eyes and saw the plain of Jordan well watered. The thought of encountering little or no challenge must have been one of the reasons why he chose that place. At the end he lost all his possessions, his wife and his daughters made him to commit incest with them. Trust in the Lord with all thine heart: and lean not unto thine own understanding, In all thy ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct thy paths. Proverbs 3:5-6.

    Melchizedek is God!!! In the book of Hebrews 7:3, Paul says without father, without mother, without descent nor beginning of days nor end of life... Now if this Melchizedek is without beginning of days or end of life, then He still exists today. Only God (ELOHIM) has eternal life. There cannot be two God(s) existing together. Why? The bible says, behold Israel the Lord your God is one. God bless.
  • Ron Elloway on Genesis 1:1 - 13 years ago
    When I see evil that exists on this earth in what I observe men doing to other men, I can more clearly see what good is. How is it that I can distinguish what is good or evil? "In the beginning God, (Good) created." And everything God created, He said it was good. What went wrong with creation? Free Choice! We were created with free choice, to choose good or evil. Ezekiel 28:13-19, very quickly describes an angel, that was created perfect, better than good, and he chooses to worship me, myself, and I, setting up his own trinity. When you look away from God, (good), to serve yourself only, you turn into a devil. When you think your ideas are more perfect then your creators ideas, then you make yourself a God in your own mind. Yes it’s a mystery how something created so perfect, could come up with the idea that he could go his own way, and sustain his own existence. When you turn evil, you cause war, and that is what happened in heaven according to Revelation 12:7, and he drew 1/3 of the angelic host with him in Revelation 12:4. They were cast down to earth, where our home was, while it was perfect. God, through Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit created us, Genesis 1:26, and we were created perfect. We choose to not trust the ideas of our creator, and listen to the lies of the evil one, and we were then told to leave the Garden of Eden, which used to be heaven on earth, our first home. We now choose sides by our behavior, and how we love one another, which is good, which is Godly, which is what Christ came to do, by coming to earth at some point in time, living a life each day filled with the spirit and power of our creator to overcome evil with Good. I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me, Philippians 4:13.
  • Timothy Wayne George on Genesis 34:2 - 13 years ago
    The text reads: when Shechem, the son of Hamor the Hivite, prince of the country, saw her, Dinah, he took her, and lay with her, and defiled her. The question in this text would be: when is rape really a rape? The torah points out that the woman has a duty to scream, when she is being raped. The text does not say that Dinah screamed, and this would yield another question was this act consented to? Jacob has another problem on his hand, with Shechem wanting to inter-marry with his daughter Dinah. The New Testament states that believers are not to be unequally yoked with unbelievers. So there was a love relationship there between Dinah, and Shechem. The resulting acts of Dinah's brothers were also wrong, and caused folly in Israel. Jacob did not seem to be the best example of a father, because he favored some of his kids over the others. This is why Joseph's brothers hated him, because he was favored, being the son of Rachel, who was the wife that Jacob loved more than Leah. Had the brothers of Dinah been more protective of her, they would have accompanied her, and this event with Shechem, would never have happened. These things happened to them to be examples unto to us today in the Church Age. God is not willing that any should perish, but that all would come to repentance. We are told to be kind one to another, tenderhearted, and forgiving as God for Christ sake has forgiven us. Paul later states let everyman have his own wife, and every woman have her own husband. This is a topic that deserves much discussion in the Church today, so that what happened to Dinah, does not continue to be perpetuated by those with a zeal without knowledge.

    How do the writers of St. Luke and St. John explain their purpose in writing their accounts of Jesus' life?
  • Michael K on Genesis 1 - 13 years ago
    I believe every written in King James Version is correct and there are no errors, but can someone please explain Genesis 1:27 it says God created man in his own image. And then in Genesis 2:5, it says after the seventh day, he rested and then God looked and there was not a man to till the ground, so he created one. But chapter 1 says he already created man? Please explain?

    Jehovah is the closest translation of the holy scriptures compared to original Hebrew and Aramaic manuscripts. Jehovah wants us to know him. Why do you think He sent His son Jesus Christ? I AM ONE OF JEHOVAH'S WITNESSES. AND I AM PROUD TO SAY THAT. I am so glad someone came to my door and offered me a bible study!

    @Camille,
    on verse 18:
    1. God on many occasions chooses not give names of those that perform biblical deeds, but he does know who they are and rewards them for it, as he still does today;
    2. God’s purpose on every miracle is to give the glory to his son;
    3. We as believers are to be involved in the acts of faith as these men;
    4. We are to be involved in the persistence of faith as these men;
    5. We are to be involved in the results of faith as these men;
    6. As this man benefited from these men’s faith so will others benefit from our action of faith (includes being verbal in our faith when needed);
    7. This falls under having a testimony in order to be a witness.
    @Alice Lynn,
    On following Jesus, the question I believe we must ask ourselves. Are we going to give our lives to Jesus, follow Jesus wherever he leads; trust and obey Jesus in all things he says in the age we live now, as did Mary Magdalene did in her age?

    My questions are: 1) Who is Ancient of Days? 2) Who is son of a man?
  • TR on Psalms 11 - 13 years ago
    In verse three a searing question is asked; "If the foundations be destroyed, what do the righteous do?" It is noteworthy that through all the rest of the Psalm, the righteous are not required to do anything; except (implicitly) to do their duty. We need not fret or fuss or flail about. We need not create yet another program or form another committee. We do well to look up, see the salvation of God, and keep plowing our row. David's answer is that "God is in his holy temple, his eyelids behold the children of men." As Bonhoffer said, "It is the mark of a mature man, as opposed to callow youth that however much he longs for the object of his desire, he stays at his post and does his duty." We have not the strength to resist the evil in this world--but GOD does, and will. Our sober faithfulness and unflinching allegiance to the Spirit and teachings of Jesus will, in the end, be the occasion of God's triumph in human history.

  • Timothy Wayne George on 1 John 4:20 - 13 years ago
    How can we say we love God, whom we have not seen, and hate our brother whom we see? We lie, and do not the truth. Beloved, love one another, for God is love, and who ever loves his brother is born of God. When we see our brother in need, and say be warm, be filled, without giving him those things that he needs, how say ye that the love of God abides in you? Beloved, let us not love in word, but in deed, and therefore your heart will not condemn you when you stand before judgment. Jesus has commanded a new commandment give I unto thee, that you love one another as I have loved you.
  • Louvenia Green Hicks on Romans 3:3 - 13 years ago
    I "DO" know this: JEHOVAH GOD spoke "verbally" three things to me during the trial. In 1 John 4:1, I found it to be a spiritual warfare. I was "not" prepared. It took me to the edge of sanity, a battle in the mind that produced visible revelation.
    1. Louvenia, who comes to ME and reasons with ME or persuade ME that I may change my mind;
    2. Louvenia, who decides between you (man) and ME (GOD HIMSELF) who is right or who is wrong;
    3. HE said to me: you go to your director and he tells you something, then your co-worker tells you something else, now you change your mind with new information. JEHOVAH GOD said, look I know "all" things. I AM ALMIGHTY GOD, no one can come to ME and tell ME anything I do not already know. This is why I do not change my mind/break a promise. The spiritual warfare left me undecided toward life, knowing that ALL things are in subjections to ALMIGHTY GOD approval. So NO, NO, NO, if men believe or do not believe, I believe this does not move GOD to break HIS promise or HIS will. Trust me, By faith! I requested death (cursed! myself), in order to separate myself from the very thing I was in the midst of. Only to awake! And find myself instructed and repositioned, in that very thing! I was in the midst of 1 John 4:1 Spiritual warfare. I personally found that death did not separate me from ALMIGHTY JEHOVAH GOD, because I knew what death is.
