    In whose eyes a vile person is despised, But he honors those who fear the Lord; He who swears to his own hurt and does not change. Psalms 15:4 I don't understand what this means? A bad person is despised, He honors who fear the Lord...why would anyone fear the Lord? He is one who is good to us. Swearing to your own hurt and not making a change. Is this talking about people who are in bad situations and they know it and they don't get out of them? Or is it talking about people who behave badly and know it and don't change?

    Is that what Jesus apparently said to John? How is that even remotely non tyrannical?
  • Timothy Wayne George on Matthew 27 - 13 years ago
    It was because of blasphemy that the chief priest was accusing Jesus before Pilate. Just as Peter said, when Jesus asked whom do the people call me? Peter responded thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God. Jesus told Peter flesh and blood hath not revealed this unto you, but my Spirit. Judas was convinced that he had betrayed innocent blood, but he was lost when he committed suicide. When Jesus comes in the Second Advent, the Jews will look upon Him whom they have pierced, and say blessed is He who comes in the name of the LORD.

  • Insight 777 on Revelation 15 - 13 years ago
    I believe the wrath of God is God’s anger at the world for rejecting him and not believing in his power. The word Angels is not a human with floppy, white wings! It is a tragedy that an artist ever painted angels that way. It was a guess and a bad one. Angel in Revelation is used for a military power/air force. Revelation 15:2 - Nuclear bomb liquefies sand to glass objects are burning in this liquefied sand. This is a battlefield which Christians have won. They are viewing details of battleground(s) via satellite imagery and/or stand on battlefield with harps of God which are computers/telecommunication devices. They praise God and Jesus and communicate with Headquarters they won the battle. (Moses led his people out of Egypt). Non-Muslims will be notified to evacuate the areas that have been contaminated with nuclear fallout or have been taken over by Muslims. Revelation 15:4 - Who shall not fear thee, O Lord, and glorify thy name? - There will be a hunt in the area for people who do not fear the Christian God: Muslims. This event will be happening in the Middle East and perhaps in other locations. Revelation 15:5 - The hunt continues in Israel, Jerusalem. Dome of the Rock in Jerusalem is bombed (perhaps by Wahhabis). 7 (Angels= air force) Military powers/governments of Islamic nations react to the temple being bombed. Revelation 15:7 - Saudi Arabia (one of the 4 king/beasts) GIVES OUT WRATH OF GOD. Islam religious leaders via Hamas, Muslim brotherhood , Al-Qaeda, etc. support the 7 military powers. Battle plans are drawn out will include bio-warfare plagues. Revelation 15:8 - Dome of the Rock Temple is bombed (by Wahhabis?) and is leveled so no one can enter until rebuilt...until the plagues are finished- before Meddigo and the return of Jesus.

    God's word is infallible. We should ask ourselves; when did women begin to wear pants? Does the word 'unisex' ring any bell? What about 'gender equality'? All these came began to surface at the advent of the Feminist Movement of the Twentieth Century which was borne out of supposedly marginalization of the womenfolk. I do not want to go into details. You can do some research on this. My major concern is that the Devil is always opposed to God's word with his infamous "...hath God said..."( Genesis 3:1) but the Church is ignorant of his devices! Women began to wear pants to show that "what a man can do, a woman can do even better"! This is against Scriptures which say women are weaker vessels ( 1 Peter 3:17). This is the way of the world and we are NOT to love it ( 1 John 2:15). A man reacts to what he sees, a woman to what she hears. Today, women have gone out of their way not to wear pants alone, but even to wear 'sexy' pants that only reveal parts of their bodies. This is evil in God's sight and the whole of Christendom should rise up against this device of the Enemy to manipulate the Church. What the Spirit says, he who has ears let him hear! God bless you all.
  • Insight 777 on Daniel 2 - 13 years ago
    After study this is what I believe is described in Daniel. The image in the dream is of a fighter jet, the F-22 (please find out a photo online). The super bomber American F-22 Raptor, a photo of it in flight needs to be seen. How would you describe this warplane if you were living in the past and had never seen a plane? The head is gold (F-22 dome is infused with real gold). The arms are silver. The two circular/diamond shapes by the nose cone described as "breasts" are silver colour. The F-22 in flight with the bottom section open, this "belly" colour is bronze colour. The "feet" of the plane (no one had seen rubber in this ancient time) might be described as iron clay (malleable clay). "A stone was cut out without hands, which struck the image on its feet of iron and clay, and broke them to pieces. Then the iron, the clay, the bronze, the silver, and the gold, were together broken into pieces, and they became like chaff on the summer threshing-floors; and the wind carried them away, so that no trace was found of them: and the stone that struck the image became a great mountain, and filled the whole earth" Daniel 2:34-35. The Stone = nuclear missile and the mountain is a great nuclear mushroom cloud. The nuclear fallout covers the world via jet-stream.

  • Ian on Jeremiah 3 - 13 years ago
    Anyone here picking up on the green trees? It is also mentioned in Jeremiah 10:2-4. The Catholics adopted Tummuze’s birthday and called it Christ’s. The green trees we are warned about here are today called Christmas trees. This is a historical fact easily researchable. All preachers keeping Sunday and calling it the Lord’s day are false prophets. Mark 2:28, Jesus clearly calls himself Lord of the Sabbath. Again the Catholics in 364 made the Canon Law XX1X that punished Christians by death for keeping God’s/Jesus’ Sabbath and not worshipping on Sunday. About the 1260 years called the dark ages, Ezekiel 8:12-18 warns us about worshipping Tummuz and facing east, when the sun comes up. Tammuz is the Baal sun, god’s son. It's his birthday the pagans observed and the Catholics adopted. All I have written is historical fact and most Christians like me don't know. God blessed me just this year with eyes to see and ears to hear how most Christians including myself are deceived. Jesus warns us many times how many will call him Lord but he won't know them. He is talking about Christians, atheists and other religions that don't call him Lord. Revelation 22:18-19 warns us about what will happen to those who add or take away from scripture. Sunday is not the Lord’s day and it has never been hallowed and commanded to be kept holy and rested on. Anyone wanting websites with proof both from the bible and other websites, I will gladly forward from my email if you respond here. Be a Berean, and prove all things.
  • Jane on Genesis 2 - 13 years ago
    Chapter 1 sheds a lot of light on not only the creation of the temporal earth but also the spiritual. In verse 1 it adds, "...and all the host of them”. We can ask, who are they? Then in verse 5 it reads "And every plant of the field before it was in the earth, and every herb of the field before it grew: for the LORD God had not caused it to rain upon the earth, and there was not a man to till the ground". In other words we were created spiritually before we and all the earth were created temporally (physically). Our origins come from heaven. That is why the Lord knew us before we were ever born.

    What were they accusing Jesus of when they came to arrest him? Wasn't it because of who he said he was? Thus when Judas said he had betrayed innocent blood, wasn't he then saying Jesus was who he said he was?

  • Tim Kelton on John 8:11 - 13 years ago
    Jesus mercy and compassion are still here for us as well. His final words to this women are simple, "Go and sin no more", go back to your first husband and no others, and don't sin again. She was caught in the act of Adultery with other men than her husband. If two people marry, that have Never been married before, they have become one in the sight of God, right, One flesh. Now, if that couple divorced, they both, "set themselves up to commit adultery", when they re-marry another or have a relationship outside (Their Marriage Bond....) They are Bound by God until one of them dies. What God hath joined together, let No Man put asunder. The sin was not the marriage to the first husband, so what is to be forgiven? God forgives me so I can marry again? Are we going to live our lives as the woman at the well, in sin? God forbid!! Fornication is the only true out for remarriage. Let's say I marry a woman who has a living husband, even though they are divorced, she is not, nor will ever be my wife according to God and Jesus. In this case I would be committing Fornication with her, she would be committing Adultery with me. "She has a living husband" and I don't have a living wife. Matthew 19:3-9 Self explanation...
  • Tim Kelton on John 3:16 - 13 years ago
    @Victor,
    To answer your question. The 1611 KJV says "should not perish", to inject the word "shall" changes the meaning and implies that I can believe in Jesus and him crucified, live like I want to, and still make it to heaven. Other versions than King James Version bible were written to create false loop holes in the spiritual world. Jesus says, "No Man can pluck from his hand", correct? But what's to keep you from jumping yourself out of the hand of Jesus? Thus the word, "should" is correct. I "should" not perish, but I "might" if I don't live as Jesus tells me to. Free will is still our choice to serve or not to serve. Food for thought: On the day of judgment, there will be some who have known Jesus and have done many wonderful works in His name, but yet He will tell them I know ye not, ye worker of evil. "Should" is the correct word! Jesus would have to allow them into heaven if the word was "Shall". Thanks for asking this great question, Victor. God Bless you!
  • Bruce on Isaiah 13 - 13 years ago
    See pictorial/symbolic use of language (Sodom, Egypt, etc.) in Revelation 11:8. It might help in understanding what "Babylon" signifies? Where was Jesus crucified? Spiritually speaking however, his reference to Sodom in Matthew10:15, is literal as in other places likewise.

    Paul is explaining perfectly the New World Order, which makes me wonder if Romans 13 is a mistranslation -deliberate? And in fact there has been no authority as are not in accordance with Gods' laws.
  • TR Ahlstrom on Psalms 69 - 13 years ago
    This is a great mystery. It is the mystery of sin. The degree to which the sinless Son of God actually entered into our sins, "bearing our sins in his body on the cross" will never, in this life or the next, be fully known or appreciated. The total identification of Jesus with the shame and sorrow of sin has never been and will never be understood. Even writing this, I am amazed. What I know is that any shame I have ever felt, he felt many times over. Any reproach I have ever borne, he bore doubled and squared. He who alone bore the glorious name of God as his own became of "no reputation," while we who are but dust seek great names for ourselves, - and yet he loves us still. How can this be? What wondrous love is this, oh my soul.
  • Nsi on Esther 8 - 13 years ago
    Oh! To love Him more and more. Who can deliver this way? Surely not Ahasuerus because his hands were tied by their laws that could not be altered. Only God can deliver after this manner and with a reverberating victory. Hamans, don't you think you can mess with GOD OR HIS PLANS!
  • Uneduks on Esther 7 - 13 years ago
    God allowed Haman to plot/plan to the end before turning tables, so that the world would know that He alone is the supreme One. Who would not fear Thee, O LORD? Who can stop Him when He starts the process or turning events? Surely not the Hamans of this world.
  • Uneduks on Esther 3 - 13 years ago
    In the book of Esther, I see the Divine arrangement of God for His people. The King, his counselors, queen Vashti, Mordecai, Esther and everyone never knew what Satan was planning. But known unto God are all His works. He pre arranged everything and positioned everyone according to his eternal plans and purposes, to give the world a Saviour so that anyone who believes and calls for mercy would be saved. In all that we pass through in this life, supposing God is arranging and positioning things and people and situations to work out His eternal plans and purposes for you. May He open your eyes to see His hand in everything around you in Jesus’ name. Amen. To you who do not believe in God, if at the end of life you meet Him, what would you say? You would have everything to lose then and it would be too late. But to you who believe, you would have everything to gain, so continue to live rightly as Esther did.
  • Alicia on 1 Corinthians 2 - 13 years ago
    Verse 15, But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man. It's true that God is the final judge as far as welcoming his good and faithful servants or saying depart from me, I never knew you. There are other judgments also, Are our judgments biased or based on God's word? Knowing what is just, righteous, correct is judgment also. Right and Wrong are judgments like the son shall not be judged for the father’s sin. We shall all be judged according to the works we do in our own body. We receive pardon and favor in God's eyes when we repent from our sins and accept Jesus as our Savior and Lord.
  • Tamra on Revelation 19 - 13 years ago
    Rapture Theory is NOT biblical. It was not known to mankind until the early 1800's, a century that introduced much evil, such as Marx's writings. There will be no sneak peak of Christ to whisk anyone away. What a perfect hoax to be perpetrated by Anti-Christ, who will come looking so holy and good, because he wants the real Christ's position and throne. Who would follow Anti-Christ if he looked obviously scary and bad? Read a good translation of Ezekiel 13:18-22, God is against those folks who would teach His children to fly away to save their souls. God's Elect are instructed to endure until Christ's return and will be rewarded with crowns of gold so they may reign and teach with Him during the Millennium ( Revelation 20:6). If you are standing in a flesh body, looking at someone proclaiming to be Christ, it will be a lie. Matthew 24 says When the true Christ returns THEN we will instantly be transfigured. 777 (Jesus Christ) comes after 666 (Anti-Christ). Blessed be the Lord.
  • Jay on Mark 5 - 13 years ago
    Verse 41- I am not sure what Charles meant when he stated that Jesus spoke in tongues? I do know that Jesus spoke in Aramaic when he stated talitha cumi which means in the English tongue "Damsel arise":
    1. There is known tongues which is used here as in Mark 15:34 eloi, eloi,lama sabachthani which means my God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? Which is in the Aramaic tongue.;
    2. There is unknown tongues which is used by some charismatic churches that is not supported by God ( I Corinthians 14:4). This whole chapter 14 on tongues is summarized in verse 19 and 22;
    3. Bible tongues and laying on hands from Matthew to Acts are sign gifts given to the Jews only and not to the gentiles which seek wisdom ( I Corinthians 1:22). There are sign gifts to the Jews only to convince the Jews that Jesus is there messiah, and non-sign gifts given to born again believers (Jew or Gentile) that we use today in the age of grace. People are always trying to press Jewish doctrine into gentile church age.
  • Kenneth p pitre on John 19 - 13 years ago
    Technically, one of the most important scriptures to thoroughly understand; for it can reveal who are false prophets, and which church is the one Jesus said the gates of hell would not prevail against it. If the Sabbath was the next day - then Jesus was crucified Friday - which according to the sign of Jonah and a scripture that reveals that a day is 24 hours reveals that Jesus contrary to the belief of practically every denomination - because they don’t do the math - was resurrected on Monday afternoon. The high Sabbath is the tale tell that one seriously seeking salvation should consider. The bible says that Jesus was crucified midweek. In 7 days midweek is wed. According to the sign of Jonah and the 24 hour day scripture reveals that Jesus was resurrected on Saturday. The Sabbath day - and although I’ve researched different studies I am a believer that God did not raise Jesus from the dead on "Easter Sunday", and did not change the Sabbath day. Note - even IF Jesus was resurrected on Sunday - the bible never declared that or anything else reason to change the Sabbath day as many denominations claim. That is ludicrous to think God in His wisdom so great that the most intelligent ever born can’t comprehend would suddenly change the Sabbath day! I ask - WHY WOULD HE ? To anyone who believes Sunday is now the new Sabbath day.
  • Gordon on Ezekiel 20:35 - 13 years ago
    Revelations 12 states Israel will be fed in this "wilderness of the nations" for a period of 1,260 days. I interpret that symbolically to mean that Israel would be exiled throughout the nations but would be fed, meaning that Israel would survive. The only question I have is about the 1,260 days. If that is symbolic also, what does it mean?

    The LORD just wants us to be pure from heart to Him i.e. Love Him with all our being even though in front of other we may be of no importance but as LORD saw the heart of widow and gave us parable through her. So, He will see our heart for Him and will give us importance. So do we children of Most High need favor from human....? If LORD is with us what else do we need? Praise The LORD.
