Going by the quote above is God selective when it comes to blessings?

If Gods plan was for us to die, why did he ask Adam and Eve, "not to eat of the tree of knowledge of good and Evil?" That would make the God I know, to be passive aggressive/manipulation. The God I know is straight forward with his commands. I believe God meant what he asked. We always seem to choose the long way around the truth. We are dismissing the fact that the serpent betrayed God and man. The tree of life is still in Eden, guarded by the Cherubims. God is all good/trusting and knowing, but I can't believe he is manipulating. I believe he always has another plan for the times his plans were interrupted by Satan. I also believe his plan would run smoother and if he didn't have to "allow" Satan to dig his hole into eternal outer Darkness. "Thats where we all come in, the witnesses."

Are we not to have anything to do with those people or share the gospel because they receive the wrath of God and if you communicate with them does it mean you approve of who they are.

Commentary by Matthew Henry, 1710 from Isaiah 58:13,14 says, "The sabbath is a sign between God and his professing people; his appointing it is a sign of his favour to them; and their observing it is a sign of their obedience to him."

He goes on...

"Even in Old Testament times the sabbath was called the Lord's day, and is fitly called so still; and for a further reason, it is the Lord Christ's day, #Re 1:10|. If we thus remember the sabbath day to keep it holy, we shall have the comfort and profit of it, and have reason to say, It is good to draw near to God."



The above quotes from Henry and many others from him point to the weekly sabbath as the Lord's Day. No problem, until we read this supposed Commentary by Matthew Henry, 1710 from Acts 20:7-12,

"They came together on the first day of the week, the Lord's day. It is to be religiously observed by all disciples of Christ. In the breaking of the bread, not only the breaking of Christ's body for us, to be a sacrifice for our sins, is remembered, but the breaking of Christ's body to us, to be food and a feast for our souls, is signified. In the early times it was the custom to receive the Lord's supper every Lord's day, thus celebrating the memorial of Christ's death."

These two Commentary's by Matthew Henry, 1710 are in conflict with each other. Question: Did someone tamper with the later Commentary by Matthew Henry, 1710? If so, what purpose? Sun-day worship? Seems like it to me.

God was with Jesus and Jesus declared him . Jesus did things that only God can do , raising the dead , healing the sick , calming the storms . Don't we like to hear about those things Jesus did and still does ? He was born of God not having an earthly father , but the Very God as his father . So as God said my only begotten Son yes Jesus is the Son of God , born of a virgin . I hope you can understand that he is The Son of God . Don't add or take away from that fact lest you have another Jesus .

why do we worship on Sunday instead of Saturday? If the star appeared in the east, how could the wise men end up in Bethlem which is west. Why do we celebrate Christmas in December when there are no shepherds in the fields in December because they are kept in town until warm weather......could you shed light on these questions. We are told in scripture to be very careful whom we spend over time! All people are not found to be good "company" as defined in scripture! So we are required by and as instructed in scripture to evaluate, consider and make judgments of whom we should have as close friends, BUT ARE NOT TO ACCESS "Judgment" of anyone's eternal future in Heaven or Hell! That is God's business! If anyone says to you, "You can not fudge me!" You can accurately say, I can make judgments about your life styles and your life actives as to whether I want to make your family values "a part of" my family values and actives! We have a responsibility to be a Christian family as defined in scripture and to also give witness of same! We are not instructed to become something else so we can remain friends to any other than Jesus!

Praise the LORD for all the comforting words of wisdom declared and shared on this forum. It is good to know that brethren exist and are active in every avenue of worship and praise unto the LORD JESUS CHRIST. It is like traveling- no matter where I go I can be assured there will be body of believers singing the praises of the LORD; preaching the Word of GOD; and I will comforted and allowed to be amongst them.

Let us extend our faith and knowledge of the LORD by praying and calling on GOD for HIS hand upon our current leadership in Washington. Our trust in Scripture and obedience to the same will bring about change as GOD, the LORD JESUS CHRIST see best for our times. May we lay aside every weight, especially the sin before us, and "let us run with patience the race that is set before us. Looking unto JESUS the author and finisher of our faith;..." Hebrews 12: 1b, 2a

So much before us to pray for and be active in; there is much we can do in HIS name. Let us start from the beginning: Romans 10: 9, 10; Ephesians 2: 8-10; Matthew 28: 18-20; 2 Chronicles 7:14, 15; 2 Peter 3:9; 1 Timothy 2: 1-5; 2 Peter 1: 1-8. Some believe and many Catholic s believe Jesus is God and also Mary is the mother of God , that's one reason they pray to Mary .

They have made both Idols. And fail to recognize Jesus is Gods Son sent to do Gods work as messiah, The Christ.

My personal belief is no, but that doesn't mean animals and pets aren't very special and loved. All animals are well designed and serve important roles, but I think mankind is extra special. He gave us freewill, not just acting on instinct and we're not just robots or puppets. We also have an extra burden of responsibility. We haven't seen zebras or donkeys making airplanes and spaceships and internet, but only mankind. God made is very different than all other animals and the soul and freewill is one of the key distinctions, in my opinion. But this opinion isn't based much on scripture because I'm not aware of any scripture referencing this topic. I did an advanced search for such a topic and found some discussing ot, but not sure if this is helpful. God bless. Link
