Someone on another site says "The Bible is just for Israelites. He (God) has not dealt with any other nations" Psalms 147:19&20.. So would it be correct for me to say.."ya the old testament yet everything after Acts 13 is for everyone that excepts Christ as Lord & Savior repenting & believing that when He died for all and all our sins, it is finished! Meaning ..we can never do ANYthing to get to heaven, ever, unless we do just that.! I'm looking for the actual scripture, because he is correct in saying he doesn't want opinions only scriptural proof. That's understandable and what I should have done to begin with. soon as I get a chance yet phones dead and don't want that app on here. Anyone like to send a few?
  • PRAYER FOR ALL NATIONS - 2 years ago
O God, who would fold both heaven and earth in a single peace:

let the design of thy great love light upon the waste of our wraths and sorrows:

and give peace to thy Church,

    peace among nations,

    peace in our dwellings,

    and peace in our hearts,

    Peace and blessing in families,

through thy Son, our Saviour Jesus Christ. Amen.

Father, we praise you with all your creatures. They came forth from your all-powerful hand; they are yours, filled with your presence and your tender love. Praise be to you!

Son of God, Jesus, through you all things were made. You became part of this earth, and you gazed upon this world with human eyes. Today you are alive in every creature in your risen glory. Praise be to you!

Holy Spirit, by your Light you guide this world towards the Father's love and accompany creation as it groans in travail. You also dwell in our hearts and you inspire us to do what is good. Praise be to you!

Godhead of infinite love, teach us to contemplate you in the beauty of the universe, for all things speak of you.Awaken our praise and thankfulness for every being that you have made. Give us the grace to feel profoundly joined to everything that is.

God of love, show us our place in this world as people of your love, for all the creatures of this earth, for not one of them is forgotten in your sight. Enlighten those who possess power and money that they may avoid the sin of indifference, that they may love the common good, advance the weak, and care for this world in which we live.

The poor and the earth are crying out. O Lord, seize us with your power and light, help us to protect all life, to prepare for a better future, for the coming of your Kingdom of justice, peace, love and beauty.

    Praise be to you! Amen.

The word clearly says we are to ask jesus for nothing any more but to ask the father. that's the next to last thing recorded in gids word that jesus spoke to us. why no sermons on this? i have been in church in various denominations for 64 years n not 9ne sermon have i heard on this clear direction by jesus. not one. same with songs. in the garden is a favorite if mine but i refuse to sing it like written because it violates what jesus told us. he is not on thus earth walking n talking with us. the last thing recorded that he said to us was that he had to get off this earth so that the holy ghost could come n he would lead us into all truth. no sermons on that either!. jesus said he had to leave earth so that the holy ghost could come n he would lead us into all truth. we dont need any special language to talk with him cause just like the father n the sin he knows them all. i have never heard any sermon saying we need to ask the holy ghost what the truth is on things. not one. if these are the last two directions we have from jesus n he was certainly adamant about them why are the not only just avoided but literaly thrown out by so called christianity??? he said he was coming back n getting a few but the corruotion would be wirld wide n 8verwhelming like isreal did more than once n was nearly destroyed. put into captivity n the kast days here would be the same. hes coming for a few n not the great masses that claim to serve. even that has dwindeled down. why no teachings on the last two directions, mandates, he gave us????? is it because the keaders in akl denominatiins have refused n are not doing as he told ys??? it appears the only answer us yes thats the reason n the masses follow them no matter what is i. the word.

    The dangers of Post Millennialism

There are theological disagreements on eschatology; along with some points that I may agree with; at least partially with certain things that have multiple fulfillments; for example. The concept that Christ is already ruling and reigning establishing His Kingdom on earth as it is in heaven presently certainly has some truth in regard to the operation of the church in spreading the Gospel. There are certain offices that He has promised the "gates of hell shall not prevail against it." ( Matt. 16:18).

The greatest danger is the concept that Satan is already bound; in the bottomless pit; as Revelation 20 brings out. That is the assumption if we take the 1000 years figurately as we are clearly nearly 2000 years since the Resurrection and ascension of Christ. No wonder there are those who take the Dominionist ideas to heart; somehow thinking things will get better and better until the final rebellion which is thought to occur immediately prior to the Second Coming of Christ rather than the end of the 1000 years! There are some who have a less radical view; and accept in particular the persecutions necessary to continue to faithfully proclaim the Gospel. Satan is either bound or not; I separate the authority Christ has given to His people who are truly saved and Spirit filled who are not affected unless they allow or excuse sin in their lives giving his minions legal authority.

Taken in the wrong context; we see no need for deliverance; really wouldn't expect wars to be continuing in the earth; and don't understand how deception can take us over. How do we effectively fight an Ephesians 6 battle; or why would we if Satan is a non issue? There are other issues; such as the "Replacement Theology" and not taking many scriptures literally for future events; yet often past prophecies are taken this way by the reformers. How can we know we are under Satan's power if we don't believe it is possible? These are serious conerns.

What does this mean to you?

    amen

    2 Corinthians 10:3-7

3 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: 4 (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) 5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; 6 And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled. 7 Do ye look on things after the outward appearance? If any man trust to himself that he is Christ's, let him of himself think this again, that, as he is Christ's, even so are we Christ's.

    In Jesus name amen

  • Philip Christian Parks on Matthew 24 - 2 years ago
    "knows no man" ( Mt. 24:36) =

There are some precise specifics GOD has not revealed.

    (1) We must learn (v.32a), and know (v.32b; 33b) that CHRIST will return.

    (2) GOD The FATHER simply has not revealed the precise time CHRIST will return. This unknown prohibits man's tendency to calculate and predict the exact time JESUS CHRIST will return.

    (3) This unknown must prompt Christians' motivation to perpetually watch and always prepare for that event. Compare Mark 13:33:

"But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in Heaven, neither The SON, but The FATHER."

Notice Mark's interesting addition of the expression "neither The SON", which is unique to Mark. Does this contradict the Doctrine of JESUS' DIVINE Attribute of Omniscience? Not so. Although "equal with GOD" ( Php. 2:6), LORD JESUS' humanity, particularly "of no reputation, [in] the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men" ( Php. 2:7), appeared to restrict HIM somewhat by design. GOD never tires, sleeps, hungers, thirsts, or suffers as man does, yet JESUS CHRIST endured all these human experiences.

CHRIST's humanity seemed to limit HIS Attributes of DEITY to some degree. Otherwise, why would Doctor Luke proclaim,

"JESUS increased in Wisdom and Stature, and in Favor with GOD and man" (Lu. 2:52).

Does this "increasing" suggest GOD The FATHER temporarily limited HIS SON's Omniscience to some degree while in HIS humanity? Was The SON OF MAN oblivious to the storm while asleep in the boat during the storm ( Mt. 8:24; Mk. 4:38; Lu. 8:23)?

Evidently, the knowledge of "that Day and Hour" when LORD JESUS CHRIST will come again is limited solely to "MY FATHER only" (v.36), for as LORD JESUS proclaimed in another context, certain things was "not mine to give, but it shall be given to them for whom it is prepared of MY FATHER" ( Mt. 20:23).

Could it have been possible for Christ to have been made king and not die on the cross?

If,Christ would have been excepted as the King from Heaven, and God, why did'nt it happen?

If you can answer these questions with the evidence before you, you will only begin to touch the distance that God has placed between Himself and us!

Why, who, and how, the God of the universe in His plan is the salvation before us, now and for eternity!

Why would it be impossible for this one to have been made king?

If you look far enough you will see the depravity of man! His nature with the impossibility to see right from wrong, instead, man justifying himself according to His own thinking! Those in authority, who still deny Him, who provoke Him!

So , God sends His son in the likeness of himself, redeeming those who are His!

The rest of the world in denial, trusting in their ownselves, depending once again on their own works! In spite of Gods promise given to us through His Son, Jesus Christ.

God sends us out, seeking those who are lost, finding those who have not heard the word!

An indication of the sign of the times, are the number of those who have not heard the words of Christ.

An indication of the sign of the times are the number of those , who are proclaiming the Gospel!

The two go hand in hand!

The word must be spoken, that it might find its why into heaven and earth, even the housetops!

The gospel message that Christ is the KING , both now and for eternity.

There is salvation in none, other!

If the God plan is hard for you to understand, perhaps you do not have a clear understanding of who you are and why Our God has chosen to save you! His plan of salvation, through death and ressurection of His only Begotten Son!

This is a monumental plan, that Jesus is our King, that He has saved us from sin and hell. What a plan!!

    Repent and be Baptized

Thank You, Lord, for your Word! Praise you for your perfect timing! How amazing is every lesson you have for me! Every time you open my eyes a little wider and make my sight a little clearer I am amazed how perfectly you orchestrated my lesson! I would never be able to express my awe of You, my Creator, not even if I lived forever. My prayer is for every person to feel and watch You move in their life in a BIG way like you've done in mine, over and over, so they have no doubt of your existence and no denial of Your love for us!! Forgive me for doubting your faithfulness to me, and keep me from doubting you ever again!! It is the darkest feeling to admit my doubt in Your promise to never forsake me. I admitted my doubt and fear today to my momma in front of You with so much fear of my words hurting You and angering you with me. How dare I ask "why me?" Who am I to complain about anything? You allowed the sin of the whole world to fall on your perfect and blameless child, but I complain about my small share of suffering? How foolish and ungrateful of me. But, Praise Your Name, you heard me, you saw me, you gently and lovingly corrected me, and you restored my faith in that moment. I WILL take on this next battle with cancer you've allowed on me like I have the times before and I WILL trust in Your Holy plan even though I have no idea why so much suffering has been in Your Will for me. I will trust that it is all for Your Glory, and I thank you that my life might be used for your Glory. Thank you for Job and how you used his life to show us the obedience you want from us. It is awesome to watch you work in my life. My Father, Creator, Counselor, Master, Savior, my precious Jesus!! Thank you for your mercy and grace and love that never ends!!!

***To those wondering about rapture theory. Read below. I added emphasis in all caps and asterisks ***

    2 Thessalonians 2

    King James Version

1 Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him,

2 That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, ***nor by letter as from us***, as that the day of Christ is at hand.

    3 ***Let no man deceive you by ANY means***: for that day SHALL NOT COME, EXCEPT THERE COME A FALLING AWAY FIRST, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;

4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.

5 Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things?

6 And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time.

7 For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way.

8 And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:

9 Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,

10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.

11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:

12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

    Consider verse 6
