"But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:"
"26 For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called:
27 But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world
to confound the things which are mighty;
28 And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to
nought things that are:"
One will not see many powerful and famous people among christians. But one will see many Lazarus' among us. The famous and rich usualy follow another way.
"For the Jews require a sign, and the Greeks(gentiles) seek after wisdom:"
The world hasn't changed much, has it?
"Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment."
Philippians 1:27-28,
"Only let your conversation be as it becometh the gospel of Christ: that whether I (Paul) come and see you, or else be absent, I may hear of your affairs, that ye stand fast in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel;"
1 Cor 1:7,
"So that ye(Corinthians) come behind in no gift; waiting for the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ:"
Paul tells to Corinthians that they do have all the gifts. What are these gifts?
They are described later on in 1 Cor 12:7-11,
"4 Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit
....................................................................................................................................................
8 For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit;
9 To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit;
10 To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues:
11But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will."
Does the church, which we are menbers of, have those gifts? Lets examine it.
"And (God) brought her unto the man".(v.22)
It is not ourselves but it is God who has brought us into the Fellowship of God and Man. This is the gift of God. (Ep.2:8-10) Jesus speaks of it from his POV, "As thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him."( John 17:2) Glory of the word like seed finding the right soil so wisdom is a deep calling unto deep,- which in this case is the power and he has power over all who would benefit from. He knew who were his. "those that thou gavest me I have kept, and none of them is lost, but the son of perdition; that the scripture might be fulfilled."(17:12) That the scripture might be fulfilled sets him the soul, the knowing part so we have Adam as the double revealing another aspect of the Son. As the Son of man he knew what was in the man of man. "But there are some of you that believe not. For Jesus knew from the beginning who they were that believed not, and who should betray him./And he said, Therefore said I unto you, that no man can come unto me, except it were given unto him of my Father."( John 6:63-64)
It pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell.
"And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man."
The Spirit invests in Adam the same qualities that Christ as the brightness of His glory displayed. As the Good shepherd he revealed his Father the Shepherd of souls(1 Pe.2:25).
"And he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof"
God caused the deep sleep which is according to his purpose. Adam as a stand in for his body cannot have any other meaning than what his emblem signifies. The slain Lamb foreshadows the death of his Son. According to the Min-Max, mode of Narrative a specific action of God telescopes into the 'forever' mode applicable to the Son. Accordingly his sleep refers to the death of the Son as on another occasion God tells King Solomon, "I have hallowed this house, which thou hast built, to put my name there for ever; and mine eyes and mine heart shall be there perpetually."(1 Ki.9:3). The bone signifies doctrine. What is a rib, a bio-material protecting the lungs where spiritually the presence of God like winged cherubs, presides over man. (Temple of God- 1 Co.3:16-17) By the breath of God he made Adam a living soul. Notice the order the word of God (breath) next the doctrine of God and closed up the flesh refers to the word become flesh. Adam is confirmed as the double for his Son.
vv.22-23
" And the rib, which the Lord God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man./And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man."
We see how the living soul responds. Adam did not confirm his suspicion as to what the woman signified. He knew in his bones the truth. The Spirit gives us a parallel commentary on the development of the holy family. all those who shall be pressed into the church, the body of Christ.
" And the Lord God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him."
Here we see the Mind of God. Power principle in godhead works with Wisdom principle and operation of one in tandem with the other is glory; so Fellowship of God with Man gives a body that is enjoined to enter into the rest of God. (He.4:1) 'Where is the place of my rest?' (Is.66:1). Peace of which passeth all understanding should warn us the pitfall of judging the rest of God from human circumstances.
In the Lord's prayer we recall the Power and the glory which is forever. Whereas The Word becoming flesh death and resurrection only explains a body which is in flux reason for which we have this verse, "That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish,"(Ep.5:27) In Christ we shall find equipoise or enter into his Rest, the Sabbath. Adam could not find rest in His creation. The peace of God mentioned here above necessarily is in the Son 'as the express image of his person.' Adam was merely a stand-in for the Son, marked by 'son' of God. ( Luke 3:38)
vv.21-22
"And the Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof;/And the rib, which the Lord God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man."
Regarding deep sleep we have yet another example, "So David took the spear and the cruse of water from Saul's bolster; and they gat them away, and no man saw it, nor knew it, neither awaked: for they were all asleep; because a deep sleep from the Lord was fallen upon them."(1 Sa.26:12) Deep sleep simply establishes it was in accordance with the will of God. Thus was with Adam as a double for the Son so Eve is created in her own right as well as in fulfillment of divine Purpose. We shall see this double function in theLife of Abram and Sarai.
"And Joseph said unto Pharaoh, "And for that the dream was doubled unto Pharaoh twice; it is because the thing is established by God, and God will shortly bring it to pass."(v.32)
This chapter begins with a clue. "And it came to pass at the end of two full years, that Pharaoh dreamed: and, behold, he stood by the river." So we are considering the third year, where Three is a command number for the Son. Compare with this vision, "In the third year of the reign of king Belshazzar."(Dan.8:1)
A day is appointed for the Son and the everlasting covenant is not merely for nations that only speak of the world made to appear. It covers also the world unseen which is eternal.(He.11:3;2 Co.4:18). Both worlds of the flesh and of the Spirit are covered under dreams. Fools take exclusively to here and now because faith (as God has revealed) holds no meaning to them.
Sleep and awake, night and day are doubled to indicate each of the pair either deserving everlasting contempt or to everlasting life. "And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt./And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever."
What does it tell you? Day as Joseph figures from Pharaoh's dreams is about Jesus Christ by whom all things consist. "All things were created by him, and for him./ And he is before all things, and by him all things consist."(Col.1:16-17)/ What God revealed to Pharaoh are identical despite the dreams indicated seven fat kine and seven lean kine, in one; and seven good ears and seven empty ears. The seven is a tag that 'it is established by God' and shall surely come to pass,
The dream was doubled unto Pharaoh twice because God is the Sovereign Lord and Pharaoh is here cast as a double for him."(selected)
Like Begets Life
The Superscription can be put this way, "And the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself." Whose seed is in itself makes the tree of life and the trees of righteousness as of one kind. Whose seed is in itself refers to the word of God sown in our hearts about which we hold a spiritual space.
Thus Adam would not find an help meet. He was the double for his Son and his mate had to match bone for bone and flesh for flesh. This understanding is what being based on truth did. God breathed his spirit into his nostrils and his living soul established his world 'in the day that the Lord God made the earth and the heavens,'. Now for the verse,
"But for Adam there was not found an help meet for him./And the Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof;"
What does sleep signify? For Jesus here was no doubt with regards to Jairus's daughter. Before he would go in he said, "For the maid is not dead, but sleepeth. And they laughed him to scorn."(Matt.9:24; Luke 8:8:49-55) He was there as the Word become flesh but also was in the land of the living where his Father was the God of the living." The same two worlds we are discussing and it's frame of reference is not only the now but also the day decreed for the Son.
When Jesus transfigured before the three disciples he merely showed the two worlds he carried about and it was same for Adam. He carried the same glory so he was naked but felt no shame.(Ge.2:25)
In 2:21 the Spirit speaks of a deep sleep which is not merely his sleep but with reference to the Son for whom he was a stand in. It is for this reason Elisha asked a double portion of his spirit. "And Elisha said, I pray thee, let a double portion of thy spirit be upon me."(2 Ki.2:9). This is in context of the two worlds. 'Deep' refers to the death of the Son which would occur according to the scriptures in the day decreed for him.
"And Adam gave names to all cattle, and to the fowl of the air, and to every beast of the field; "
In Catholic and Eastern Orthodox churches there is name day in which the feast day of a day after whom a person is named. It is a tradition. In accordance with the abstract, God blessed His creation as had indeed in his Son. So God duly brought Adam His creation and whatever names he called them, that were accepted. They were His associates so when the Word of God exhorts him,"Go to the ant, thou sluggard; Consider her ways, and be wise: Which having no guide, Overseer, or ruler, Provideth her meat in the summer, And gathereth her food in the harvest."(Pr.6:6-8) it is his spiritual space and it is addressed to his spirit. Instead if man wants to heap us riches as with the Parable of the Rich Fool what spirit is he laboring under? Is it not an unclean spirit wrecking the spirit that calls for sobreity and godly living? Similarly spirit of times clamors for incendiary rhetoric and actions against 'deep state' without an iota of evidence. Does it have to invade your sovereign spiritual space where you are only accountable to God. The Parable of Jesus is very relevant in our times.
" When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest, and findeth none./Then he saith, I will return into my house from whence I came out; and when he is come, he findeth it empty, swept, and garnished./ Then goeth he, and taketh with himself seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter in and dwell therre: and the last state of that man is worse than the first. Even so shall it be also unto this wicked generation." (Matt.12:43-45)
The spiritual space without being anchored on truth precisely shows in the wicked generation. It is no-brainer what ails our world. "Be ye separate!" exhorts the Spirit. "What concord has Christ with Belial?" Are we to behave as fools as they?
We are considering the generations of Adam and his world"(5:1) which is set against "the generations of the heavens and of the earth when they were created, in the day that the Lord God made the earth and the heavens." We have the word of God that it was set 'in the day'. Thus 'generations of Adam' in a plural sense ought to signify that his visible world formed of the dust moves on with his body so he is a double for the Son. It is neither flesh and blood nor it is that of angels but 'in midair' a spiritual space nevertheless.
"This is the day that the Lord hath made," is like the river that went out of Eden.(2:10) All the blessings of God in the Son 'are yea and Amen' must therefore be explained in terms of spiritual blessings and in terms of his body. We mentioned of the river of time that shall never stop but touch alpha and Omega aspect of God. Analogy of Adam's world can be explained by the vision of Daniel where the man in linen upon the other side of the bank, "and, behold, there stood other two, the one on this side of the bank of the river, and the other on that side of the bank of the river."(Dan.12:5). Daniel is on this side of the river. It was thus the man has his world of the Spirit while he on this side of the river manages 'now'. How does one handle the now when the word of God says,'Now is the day of salvation." St Paul gives an account of it in 2 Co.6:2-4. Also he runs 'For the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus'.(Ph.3:14; Ro.8:28) He was called according to His purpose. This is how the Spirit explains God's purpose concerning. Just as God named in the abstract whatever Adam called was the name thereof.
How do we call our world, and do we name it kraken conspiracy because some call their world after the spirit of their times?
"And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat:/ But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die."
God placed man in the Garden specially prepared for him in accordance with the Law. So when He commanded Let there be light the word of God establishes light or 'as plain as day' in any transaction between God and Man. Thus God reveals His mind to him. In visions and in dreams and also plainly as He did with Moses and Abraham. Before he destroyed Sodom he visited Abraham," And the Lord said, Shall I hide from Abraham that thing which I do?". In the abstract He blessed man (Ge.1:28) so we can understand God giving a context to what shall see in 12:3? He says," Seeing that Abraham shall surely become a great and mighty nation, and all the nations of the earth shall be blessed in him?" (18:17-18) God has rules from which He shall not deviate.
His rule regarding the tree was legit. His blessings reveal that God was absolutely just. "He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?"(Ro.8:32)
The Abstract speaks that He created 'them male and female'. Wisdom is a female principle and she built the house of wisdom with seven pillars before the worlds began. (Pr.9:1)
Adam stood for the Son as a double and what did he represent for him? He was wisdom so he had not no need for the knowledge of good and evil. (1 Co.1:30).
"And from thence it was parted, and became into four heads."
Parting of the river into four heads in the parlance of the Spirit is with four directions. In the abstract we came across how God separated the waters above the firmament from waters below.(1:7) Like the sun shining upon the unrighteous and the just alike holiness of God which is perfect makes no distinction with water of life and in four heads what the Spirit signifies is the word of God is for all. "Ho, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters," It is sent forth to all. "Say unto them, As I live, saith the Lord GOD, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked; but that the wicked turn from his way and live: turn ye, turn ye from your evil ways; for why will ye die, O house of Israel?" (Ez.33:11) His mercy is at his terms. By refusing truth and refusing to obey his Will no amount Jesus talk shall save foolish shepherds.
North south, east and west have different significance than how we view on the earth. The sun of righteousness does not have to rise on the east as we refer to it in our everyday world. Since the matter directions have been covered we shall attend to v.15
"And the Lord God took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it." His stewardship was with regards to his world where he was to discharge his tasks in obedience to His will. Recalling the Isaiah quote the spiritual space of each believer is intended as a place of Rest for God. " Incline your ear, and come unto me: hear, and your soul shall live; and I will make an everlasting covenant with you."(Is.55:3)
"And the Lord God planted a garden eastward in Eden; and there he put the man whom he had formed."
No one has located where Eden is actually but it is no matter. Fellowship of God with Man has an address for which the Spirit has only supplied the Garden as a reference point. The Son represents for us the Man component in the Fellowship so he is assigned Eden as the word of God says, 'The heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool."(Is.66:1). Treat it as the kingdom of the dear Son and it explains where our blessings come from.
"And a river went out of Eden to water the garden." This river is associated with Jesus Christ which is how the Spirit has added details to the blessedness of the children of God. In the colloquy with the Samaritan woman he makes clear,"but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life." It is provided by the grace of Jesus Christ. In the preceding verse he makes a distinction of the water issuing from his domain to the world of the Sprit, the garden and the water at the Jacob's well. " Whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again." ( John 4:13-14) The world of the Samaritan woman may have as with the rural life revolved around the village well but receiving Jesus Christ as the Messiah changed her life forever. Her thirst that was never by sated by water she daily drank from is evident, "The woman saith unto him, Sir, give me this water, that I thirst not, neither come hither to draw."(v.15)
The Spirit instructs us that Adam's world was special because God had planted the garden in his Son for Adam and Eve. Everything pertaining to life and godliness was on the house to want some useless advise from the serpent.
The truth of the matter is the river beginning at this point shall continue to the last chapter unbroken. (Re.22:1) This pure water of the river of life also serves as the river of time about which the entire God document is fleshed out.
"And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground," and (God) "breathed into his nostrils."
The life of man gets a booster shot as it were, a familiar phrase in the post-Pandemic times. This life must explain the nature of soul. Since he is unseen we call him the inner man. In order to understand the nature of a living soul we need the following verse to help us along the way..
In v.7 the Spirit gives us two actions upon the man which have a bearing on the third and it is with regards to his context with the ground. This is the spiritual space that every man carries about him. It is thus Jacob sensed the gate of heaven from his own feelings. What caused him a dread? "And Jacob awaked out of his sleep, and he said, Surely the Lord is in this place; and I knew it not./And he was afraid, and said, How dreadful is this place! this is none other but the house of God, and this is the gate of heaven. "(Ge.28:16-17). God revealed a vignette of images to him in a dream while he is asleep. He is spot on and the Spirit wants us to have a good grasp of our own native soil where the heart serves as a door and there is a gate opening which is heaven!
Like Adam arising from 'his deep sleep' and full well understands the identity of Eve we have the Spirit giving us the faculty of precognition. This is the spiritual twin of the cellular communication which is part of biology. What is knowable of God is an inextricable part of man whether he cares to admit or not. "What shall a man give in exchange for his soul?"(Matt.16:26) As the Psalmist would say, " I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well." And that my soul knoweth well is what we are discussing here.
Who but a fool will sell his soul out for 'other man's riches." Prosperity theology is for the damned.
The psalmist asks, "or whither shall I flee from thy presence?"(Ps.139:7-10, 14).
God knows who are his.
"for the Lord God had not caused it to rain upon the earth, and there was not a man to till the ground./ But there went up a mist from the earth, and watered the whole face of the ground."
Rain is a concrete image of divine favor which is in the sense the man in charge of the four Hebrew children made an exception in their case at the risk of his own head. "Now God had brought Daniel into favour and tender love with the prince of the eunuchs."Similarly those midwives found favor since they defied the edict of the Pharaoh. (Dan.1:9; Ex.1:20) What is man that God is mindful of him? When we consider favor it is thus we have been earmarked for blessings in his Son. We have been brought into tender love because of his Son. "What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him?"(Ps.8:4) Mist stands for the spirit of Christ which explains his Son in human likeness. God formed man of the dust of the ground which is from within.
"And the Lord God planted a garden eastward in Eden; and there he put the man whom he had formed." (v.8) Adam was chosen in His son for all the spiritual blessings. Adam consequently is His workmanship, and God put him there for a purpose."For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them."(Ep.2:10). Is our religion merely Jesus talk and our walk 50-50? Be not deceived we carry about a world where both worlds are there to keep us preserve. Remember the cherubs guarding the tree of life, "Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life."(Ge.3:24) The Spirit has given us the significance of Mahanaim and iif it is what Jacob as the heir of promise had about him it is true for us. By the same token we ought to pay heed,"Loose the four angels which are bound in the great river Euphrates./... which were prepared for an hour,(Re.9:14-15)
"And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul."
The Spirit of God moving upon the face of the waters also garnished the sky. What Job says about it does not contradict the ch.1:2. "By his spirit he hath garnished the heavens; his hand hath formed the crooked serpent."( Job 26:13).The crooked serpent is of same weight as the tree of knowledge of good and evil, a point which we discussed earlier. God is a Spirit and his kingdom rules over all. (Ps.103:19) When God said Let there be light, the stars did not evolve willy-nilly by some strange series of coincidences but by the word of God. "By the word of the LORD were the heavens made; and all the host of them by the breath of his mouth." So what holds the dust, water vapor, the stars and the moon together? Is it not Jesus Christ the word become flesh?
"So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them./And God blessed them." God made man as His steward for the reason of the homogeneity that the word could create out of the two worlds. They are framed by the word of God and faith is what holds man and his world. Jesus Christ as the firstborn of His creation,
We shall see from what proceeds in the rest of this chapter that whatever knowable of God and his kingdom was imparted to Adam. Why would God do that? Jesus explains, "That where I am, there ye may be also".( John 14:3b)
The Spirit presents the man in full possession of his faculties so he did not need any other to teach him of good and evil. He was the son of God. ( Luke 3:38)
In the garden we have the word of the Spirit represented. Ch,1vv.11-12 informs as to in the vegetation that God caused to grow. Quality of the ground is also equally important is it not? This is the world of the body out of which the Spirit presents the tree of life as the crown jewel("also in the midst of the garden"-v.9) in the flora and fauna of the garden.
'A body has thou prepared me' refers to this world where we have to account for two worlds, that of the Spirit and of the body. This is a microcosm of the kingdom of heaven signifying world unseen and the world made to appear. (He.11:3). This is the spiritual space set about the heart of every believer called before the foundation of the world and God blessed man in his Son. Just as the world is not all about only saints in light there are entities that dare not come to the light so the calling and gifts of God are wasted. The tree of knowledge of good and evil represents them. 'The darkness and light are both alike' to the Lord God so according to the mystery of his will has let it.(Ps.139:12b)
With regards to the body we need examine closely. God blessed the vegetation and as a result the tree with seed in itself cannot produce brambles. God formed man out of the ground, which is not about the body we have been discussing hitherto. It is flesh and blood"signifying natural man. St Paul speaks of two kinds of bodies. "It is sown in dishonor; it is raised in glory:"(1 Co.15:43-44) God blessed man (Ge.1:28) and the Garden is all about abiding in Christ where the Garden represents the blessedness of being in heavenly places.
The Spirit instructs us by placing man in heavenly places as to what is the true state of a believer. The space about his heart where Spirit is that raised Jesus from the dead and the ground is the pit from where he was raised up. So Isaiah refers,"and to the hole of the pit whence ye are digged' (51:1b) We negotiate two world of the Spirit and of the Spirit.
"And out of the ground made the Lord God to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food; the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, "
The Spirit creates a spiritual space a Garden where every tree is grown with a specific purpose. This is is harmony with the blessings of God, and we read in this epistle that divine blessings cover total man,- body spirit and soul of man. "Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth."( 3 John 1:2) Only Spirit of God can address soul since He made man a living soul.
He creates the spirit as a candle (Pr.20:27). Above all the word is like a surgeon's scalpels lays bare his thoughts inclinations and state of being. "and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart./ Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do." He.4:12-13) How can not a man prosper with His blessings? His mercy works with the spiritual space of man like a threefold cord and he is secure. No wonder one can read the Bible through his lifetime and find comfort and consolation,- and his Presence is cure for all.
Not so with literary space. The hucksters who create a best seller list wants profits so they ratchet up a media frenzy to draw in suckers who after reading would want another one to cater to his inflamed senses. The writers who have no integrity immediately set to cater to the public tase and are feted as a nine day wonder. Publication of Ulysses and Lady Chatterly's Love in their day created an uproar. But now bestiality and violence create readers who crave more titillation. What gives?
"And there was not a man to till the ground./But there went up a mist from the earth, and watered the whole face of the ground"
The Spirit is creating a spiritual space as an author does with words. However fantastical the subject matter is the author employs words as bricks and the reader suspends his disbelief in order to enter therein. The Spirit is here presenting a spiritual space. What God demands from you is no different than what you wholeheartedly give to a human author, say Dean Swift writing Gulliver's travel adventures. Does anyone pick a quarrel with him because no such kingdom of Lilliput exists? Why on earth a rational man would deny God the same benefit of doubt? Before approaching the God document the rule for a believer is simple: first know your enemy. He simply pulls wool over you lest you should know the truth and make you free of Satan the father of lies. "But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: [4] In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them."(2 Co.4:3-4)
God blessed man (1:28) Be fruitful is part of it and subdue it is what the Son signifies. God blesses man in his Son. It is what we read in John 15:1-5 The true Vine discourse of Jesus, "And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it:" This is not what find we at present. Man claims his reason be all. If so what worth is his rational faculties without God?
The earth abides forever because the fulness in Son creates blessedness in all things, body spirit and soul and it is what we shall examine now.
Ge.2:1-3 Overview
Before we get on with the creation of man we need to keep two things in mind. The Spirit in narrating redemption of the world from its fallen state uses people places and events which are visible as God calling forth Abram. "Now the Lord had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father's house, unto a land that I will shew thee:" It is an individual call where both heaven and the earth are interacting. It may have bearing on the mass migrations occurring at that period of time during which his father dies en route. But it is no matter. Nevertheless heaven interfaces with the earth.
Against the backdrop of rise and fall of nations that we shall come across sporadically, the Spirit does not change the MOU carried in the seven articles of the abstract. For instance "And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters" (Ge.1:2b) is in harmony with God making Adam a living soul.(2:7) The specific action does not contradict the abstract.
Not so obvious is this incident in the Book of Joshua. "And the sun stood still, and the moon stayed, until the people had avenged themselves upon their enemies."( Josh 10:13) Compare a similar expression in Re.19:17 the angel in the sun refers to the sun of righteousness and what are the sun and the moon but signs.(" and let them be for signs"-1:14) It is helpful to keep Col.1:16-17 in mind. "And by him all things consist." Ignoramuses reading the Bible with their reason babble nonsense while the Spirit is specific and comparing the spiritual with spiritual is imperative.
Before we get on with the crearion of man we need to keep two things in mind. The Spirit in narrating the word from its fallen state uses people places and events which are visible as God calling forth Abram."Now the Lord had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father's house, unto a land that I will shew thee:" It is an individual call where both heaven and the earth are interacting. It may have bearing on the mass migrations occurring at that period of time during which his father dies en route. Nevertheless heaven interfaces with the earth.
Against the backdrops or rise and fall of nations that we shall come across sporadically does not change the MOU carried in the seven articles of the abstract. For instance "And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters" (Ge.1:2b) is in harmony with God making Adam a living soul.(2:7) The specific action does not contract the abstract.

God called out Abraham according to his own purpose and Lot owing to his loyalty to his uncle followed him. The Spirit instructs us where Lot made his choice to settle down the plains. He made his personal experience and rational faculties led him."and beheld all the plain of Jordan, that it was well watered every where, "(Ge.13:10). He was not led by God. It is how modern churches are misled. What nationalism can do for them. Nothing!
The God Document to all intent and purpose begins here. "These are the generations of the heavens and of the earth when they were created, in the day that the Lord God made the earth and the heavens,"
What we consider as the family covers both heaven and the earth. For this reason we have our heavenly father in heaven which also forms part of the Lord's Prayer. Some cults in their will worship forbid the prayer altogether in order to condemn others as nominal Christians. Jesus declared "And call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven.". He was in the bosom of his Father and when he speaks he speaks by authority.(Matt.23:9)
So family has its significance and when God say, be ye holy for I am holy it is in accordance with the eternal will of God the Father.
A day is decreed for the Son in which his holy family shall be set in context of the heavens and of the earth. It is this ,-the world of the Spirit signify heavenly places to which each of us may access freely. We consider Jesus Christ as the firstborn from all creation.
"For both he that sanctifieth and they who are sanctified are all of one: for which cause he is not ashamed to call them brethren,"(He.2:10-11) This familial relationship is different from the biological relationship. "But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, "( John 1:12-13)
There are several section in the Bible narrative beginning with "This is the book of the generations of Adam. In the day that God created man, in the likeness of God made he him."(Ge.5:1). "These are the generations of Noah"(Ge.6:9) "Now these are the generations of the sons of Noah,(Ge.10:1-2).
It is of great significance that the Spirit once again takes up with these line, "The book of the generation of Jesus Christ, the son of David," (Matt.1:1). "But Christ as a son over his own house; whose house are we, if we hold fast the confidence unto the end."(He.3:6)
What is the significance of the seventh day? This is the day "This is the day the Lord has made." (Ps.118:24) Without the mention of the Son whose fulness is totally invested in it what shall this Psalm quote would lead to" An epicure shall make of this clause "We will rejoice and be glad in it," as license to justify his pleasures without any restraint. God is clear, "You are My Son,
Today I have begotten You."(Ps.2:7-NKJV) This decree is what we have examined in the Ch.1. So now is the day of Salvation because the day stands for the Son in whom all things consist. Col.1:16-17 .
The Abstract that forms the chapter puts all things,,"that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him," does not take to another interpretation. Heroes of faith despite of some egregious personal faults double in the narrative for him. God divided the light from darkness.(Ge.1:4b) When the angels of God confronted Jacob he called the place Mahanaim. "He said, This is God's host: and he called the name of that place Mahanaim."(Ge.32:2). The Spirit elliptically explains its significance when he divided the goods for Esau who was coming to meet him. He made ensure that he and his family were secure while his gifts of appeasement did its work to send him away. The distinction between children of light and of disobedience continue ever since God willed there can be no concord between light and darkness.Similarly in the revolt of Korah brothers, we have a separation, "Speak unto the congregation, saying, Get you up from about the tabernacle of Korah, Dathan, and Abiram.(Nu.16:24) the Spirit warns us,"And what concord hath Christ with Belial?" (2 Co.6:15). Either Christ or with Belial and there is no middle ground.
Here we have the Spirit reviewing the abstract preceding with his marginal notes as it were, 'Thus the heavens and the earth were finished.'
The divine Will is multilayered so the slain Lamb as an emblem has same consistency as the Lamb of God that takes away the sins of the world. Jesus Christ the same is paraphrased by a tag 'the heavens' and putting to much emphasis on three heavens is merely overkill. The fulness of Jesus Christ gives him preeminence whether we consider the heaven, the earth and below the earth. What concerns us that Jesus after death preached to the spirits in prison. It highlights by the same token this fulness as he ascended to the heaven after resurrection. The Spirit uses number 7 to indicate completeness so the spirit that left his first state is shown having seven heads(Re.12:3) The ten horns however established he is already judged when Satan appears as the red dragon or works through the beast (Re.13:1).
Jesus preaching to spirits in prison (1 Pe.3:19) creates a tag. The number 8 as we find in this verse,"Cast thy bread upon the waters: for thou shalt find it after many days./Give a portion to seven, and also to eight." Also to eight is a clear reference to it. This has a bearing on the Four and twenty elders as memorial in heaven encompass the heaven the earth and below. The 24 elders (8x3) are not patriarchs of Israel and the disciples of Jesus combined. They instead represent the fulness of the Son.For this reason they worship him continuually, "for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created."(Re.4:11)
. Bearing in mind that we Christians are not under the law of Moses , do you , any of you , think that because something is ' against scripture ' that this means , for 100 per cent certainty , that it is against God's Will ?
Next question , if we answered ' no , we cannot be 100 per cent certain that because something is against scripture that it is automatically against God's Will ' then how can we tell some one else that they can't do this that or the other ? There are of course exceptions , none of us should be doing anything against the laws of our land or things that we know are absolutely wrong such as murder , rape , physical violence , theft etc . But the permutations can be endless ! There are so many nuances to us humans and to life in these extremely imperfect kingdoms of men . The real law is the law of love and our touchstone should always be love ,God's love and Christ's love first and then human love . This is where prayer and the Spirit of Truth come in . For sure we humans will get things wrong , we are not pure , not one of us . Therefore mistakes will be made . But we must never doubt God's enormous love for us , His understanding of our weak nature and our needs and , His enormous capacity for forgiveness . We may suffer the consequences of our actions in this life , but God is very generous and merciful . We must never look down on any brother or sister for making a mistake , and in my opinion , to totally close the door on someone is a dangerous thing to do , to them and to ourselves .
Here we shall consider the significance of the number Six. God blessed His creation and also placed him in charge, "Thou madest him to have dominion over the works of thy hands; thou hast put all things under his feet" (Ps.8:6). His blessings are irrevocable. Thus the Spirit explains the word of God and his holiness to which we shall mention his faith in particular. If anyone should deny it he makes God a liar. "He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him." ( 1 John 2:4) Faith without works is dead and Jesus gave a direct answer to what one means by works of God. It is to believe in the Son who whom he sent. The son of perdition is tagged by number 666, indicating he is damned. For this reason the Spirit gives us a clue. Satan has found a body as in the case of the serpent in the fall of man, and the beast and the false prophet are embodiment of it. In the vision of St John, "And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet./ For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world,"(Re.16:13-14) Number 6 is a tag for the body spirit and soul.
Coming back to the everlasting covenant between God and Man we read in the Ch.2 thus." And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it:"(Ge.2:3). This seventh 'day' is the culmination, the point their covenant comes in effect. What remains a day decreed for the Son. (Ps.2:7)
For this reason we have the word of God, "And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good." When God and Man have both found the articles we considered hitherto as good who shall contradict it? (1 Pe.1:19). We have been purchased by the blood of the Lamb. The slain Lamb in the divine Will is same as Jesus Christ is same yesterday, today and forever.
Here God is addressing man, "And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat." In the next verse it is to the beasts, 'every green herb for meat' which is to understood for what it is. God as the creator made everything beautiful in his time. (Ec.3:11). So he is not laying do's and dont's but perfect law of liberty in Christ is keep your conscience find its equipoise in him. It is immaterial if one chooses to be a vegan or not. "Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days: which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ."( Col. 2:16). Let your moderation be known unto all men.
