(Verse 1) "This letter is from Paul, chosen by God to be an apostle of Jesus Christ." Let's explain.

This verse is an explanation of Genesis 1:26 where God said "let us make man." It works this way. God is one entity, but He has three distinct personalities or self identities. Humans have similar capacities, that is, we can be known as several different persons to several different people. So in this way, we are made in the "image of God." This means that the "us" in Genesis 1:26 is a reference to God's three distinct personalities.

Paul knew and understood this when he said that he was chosen by God to be an apostle of Jesus Christ; that is, God is the entity and Jesus is the personality or self identity through whom God chose him. Then Paul said in verse 3 that the Father has blessed us by sending Jesus to die for us. In other words, the Father is the personality through whom God made the decision that He would come to us as the Son.

Let's say it like this. Paul is simply explaining that great eternal truth that God is Father, Son, and Holy Spirit in His dealings with us. And that the way God speaks and interacts with us humans is through his personality Jesus, all under the direction of His personality the Father.

    God bless you!

I believe that adultery is the act of two oppossite sex,man and woman. The way the woman they presented themself they are the one's who led those poor souls who are not regenerated to hell. Those who are born again they've got a responsibility to do to turn their face away,to keep their souls clean.

  • Antonio Coleman on Isaiah 9:6 - 12 years ago
Jesus is GOD that put on flesh or the skin you see everyone in and came to take our sins away by being the final sacrifice. A blood sacrifice was always required for man's sins and God deemed himself the best sacrifice; which he is. He also came to teach man how to serve him. The word manifest was mentioned in the bible, 1 Timothy 3:16, when talking about GOD and and the definition means to obviously be seen with the eye- adjective. The verb means to show by example.

This little verse has a lot that is miss understood. Image & likeness hear is a reference to the attributes of God, love, joy, peace Galatians 5: 22. There are no scriptures asking us to look like the physical Jesus, but to live like Jesus. There is one God in Genesis not 3 persons. Remember God is not a person, this is man making God in is image. Colossians 1: 15 Who (Jesus) is the image of the invisible God. If image was physical then Jesus would be invisible. So image, likeness dose not refer to looks. Who was God speaking to none other than the angles. At the creation of man there were heavenly creatures present. Revelations 4 & 5. In Genesis 3 who pops up but Satan, he knew all God had said to Adam because he was there, and as he entered Judas in the garden were he betrayed Jesus, it was in a garden were Satan betrayed Adam. Satan was one of the inner circle in Genesis and Judas was one of the inner circle in the Gospels, Judas was present at the Lords Supper and at creation Satan was present and after both events Satan entered a weak 2 minded vessel, a serpent & Judas, a serpent has a fork tongue. Let us not put something in that is not there. Genesis 1: 27 starts singular "So God created man in his image,...." Corporations call people to account if they damage the image of their company. That is enough for now.

For me it's unclear. Can someone explain in detail. Let say a woman is separated from her husband because of his drug abuse, violence and then if a unmarried man have s** with her and both want to tie the knot.Does it means both woman and a man has committed fornication and adultery? And if a man leaves his wife for no good reason then does a woman has no right to remarry? Or if she and a unmarried guy get married and are in love does it means adultery? What if a girl ask for a sign from Lord jesus and He answer in positive then also does such marriage and relation will be not accepted? Please explain me in detail?

what you ought to do is experience both the fasting and the feast. the fasting to increase your faith and subdue the flesh and the feast because when you are in the kingdom you should celebrate. I fasted for six years eating only once a day. Lost seventy five pounds but then I do not recomend this to anyone because if you do this your body will then become very efficient with food so the rebound is inevitable. The other trap is pride.

Whoa! Paul is a strong apostle of God!....... Please let me attempt too minister to everyone from this Book, and chapter:....... Jesus called us gods in John 10:34, and I always tell my wife through the observation of the word; that true gods humble themselves....... But it is a sure sign that we have lost are humility, when we judge someone........ For when we judge another; we say to ourselves subconsciously; that we are better than the one we judge...... (some might agree, some might not) but the fact of the matter is that are achievements have a strong potential to puff us up, so I say to all; Read this chapter daily that it reminds you to keep yourself humble; Cause Jesus said in Matt 18:3-4; that you must be converted and become as a little child in humility to even be able to enter the kingdom of Heaven.
