My bible puts this scripture right below moral values in my bible. This scripture ends with a period (there is that maketh himself rich, yet have nothing; there is that maketh himself poor, yet hath great riches.) yet is seems as a question is being asked. Now if I were to ask in one clear cut sentience or moral value were would it stand?

We do our best to obey Gods laws so that we can be of use in Christian service, which is evidence of our salvation. Our good works are a product of salvation, salvation is not the product of our works.

That 'obedience' is better than sacrifice, and that it is only one true living God, that has the first and the last commands of this whole universe. That when you get out of him and go worshiping something else, or letting something or someone else direct you there shall be destruction. Death into your life. So stay obedient unto the living God, O He's so sweet, that he will keep you in good life, because our God is good and everything. Everything He says and does is good. Amen

The more profound part of this verse is the revelation that God has spoken by the mouth of ALL HIS HOLY PROPHETS SINCE THE WORLD BEGAN. And verse 24 Yea, and all the prophets from Samuel and those that follow after, as many as have spoken, have likewise foretold of these days. Every prophet, according to the Holy Spirit speaking through Peter knew what Peter was preaching in their day. Jesus says the first prophet was Abel: LUKE 11:51; MATT 23:34,35

We must remember that great riches take on wings, and they fly away. So do not oppress others to become wealthy. If riches increase, do not trust in them. When God adds riches, He does not add sorrow with them. Give, and it shall be given unto you, pressed down, and shaken together. The Lord loves a cheerful giver. It is more blessed to give, than to receive. So wait patiently for God, and He will give those things that you need.

We ignore God,and when desirable things we do cause pain, in the end we call unto the lord in brokenness. So God shows us through the mess we have made we will stay put in it.(the wilderness) Learn and grow strong in the word first. So when what we desire wont cause pain, may it make God approve.By seeking him in every step of the way our spirit strengthens. That way he can bless us. Before hand, where it was dark and rough, thee only place he would find us,(wilderness, wonderment, deserts) there he got our full attention. Not only in the the public, we must show and do the works of God with readiness but also in the mess we have made. Lets clean it up so God can send us out with a waxed spirit.

It is such a blessing for you to say that you need Salvation. Matthew 5:6 states Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteouness for they shall be filled. Salvation consists of Faith, Belief, Repentance, Water baptism in the name of Jesus Christ and receiving the Holy Ghost. Read Acts 2:38. Here are other scriptures you can research. Hebrews 11:6 speaks about faith, II Corinthians 7:10 explains what true repentance is. Acts 4:10-12 explains about how Jesus' name is the only name given under Heaven whereby we must be saved. Jesus gave the disciples a commission in Matthew 28:19. The Apostles begin to baptize in the name of Jesus Christ and souls were filled with the Holy Spirit, with evidence of speaking with other tongues as the Spirit of God gave utterence, from that point on and throughout the New Testament. John 3:5 speaks about except a man be born of water and Spirit he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. I pray that God will continue to lead you in the right direction concerning Salvation. I pray that these scriptures will give you a better understanding of Salvation. May God richly bless you and your family.

13 But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.

14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.

15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.

16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:

17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

No one is going to be alive after the rapture...not even the unsaved.

I was testing to qualify to go to special forces school. One of the test was that you had to swim 4 times up and down the pool fully dressed and combat gear on. It look like I wasn't going to make it like so many others. Then I shouted out I can do all things through Christ that strengthens me. I finished my last lap.

Neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not convenient: but rather giving of thanks. The sin of ingratitude.
How many times has God done something for us and we didn’t say thank-you. How much does it cost to just open up your mouth and say thank-you?

There are a lot of little things that God does everyday. There are things that his angelic Hosts do for us everyday.

Have you ever done something for someone, and then when you needed help, they wouldn’t lift a finger to help you?

II Timothy 3:1-4 “In the last days perilous times shall come. Men shall be lovers of there own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, UNTHANKFUL, unholy, without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, traitors, heady high minded, lovers of pleasure more than lovers of God; having a form of Godliness, but denying the power there of: from such turn away”

UNTHANKFUL it means they will not give of themselves. Today’s philopsy is use and abuse: We use them and then we throw them away if we don’t like them.

11 And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after HIS KIND, WHOS SEED IS IN ITSELF upon the earth: and it was so. 12 And the earth brought forth grass, and herb yielding seed after his kind, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed was in itself, after his kind: and God saw that it was good. And in Genesis 2, verse 21 And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof; 22 And the rib, which the LORD God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man. Man has become lazy; we don't fight for righteousness any more: the reason why the world is going the way it is, is because of gain. Some spiritual leaders see a platform (pulpit) to pull in wealth and fame. They don't move amongst the people like they did in the days of the disciples whom miracles followed. I understand the fear of going out to do the work of God and being killed; maybe if signs and wonders followed them they would have a different frame of mind. And we can't win a soul if we are making them live the way we say man should live. Let’s face it, we don't do a good job (some of us), living the way God commands us to live. Coming out of a life of sin, I remember while I was living it, I hated Christians trying to tell me how to live when the technique to win me was so horribly wrong, and their life before me was like looking at the people I hung around with. My encounter with most Christians was that they were loveless, feigned. When you see a man and woman that live a homosexual lifestyle and you witness to them and you body language is saying something different you can't win them. We have a long way to go to live up to the promise. We can do it, there have been men and women who have; and we are supposed to be connected and operate in a certain manor, but if you have one cell and the rest of the cells are doing what they want when they want, the body will always be diseased and unattractive to those who look upon us. Who wants to join confusion. Nobody.
  • Lukong on Revelation 21:9 - 11 years ago
Sorry I was babbling and didn't even put the answer down. I read all of Ephesians 5, but notice Ephesians 5:25-33 King James Version (KJV) says :
    25 Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;
26 That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,
27 That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.
28 So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself.
29 For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church:
30 For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones.
31 For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh.
32 This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church.
33 Nevertheless let every one of you in particular so love his wife even as himself; and the wife see that she reverence her husband.
