Matthew 18:20 Where two or three are gathered together in my name - That is, to worship me. I am in the midst of them - By my Spirit, to quicken their prayers, guide their counsels, and answer their petitions. What about when you pray for someone to be healed, and they die?

What should a woman do if her husband goes to a different church? Is it biblical for God to call a wife to his service while leaving her husband because they disagree on Biblical issues such as how to worship or where to worship? It is not a different religion but a difference of interpretation of God's word.

Im hesitant to ask this (for fear of looking super ignorant) but here goes.I'm reading through the Gospels. In Matthew 3. Wondering why Jesus was baptized if He had no sin. Wasn't that the whole point of Johns baptism? Remission of sin? So why did Jesus get baptized by John?

  • Grae - 2 years ago
I have to apologise . When I post anything or answer a question I tend to assume that everyone reading has already read the Bible and knows exactly what I'm talking about . That's a mistake on my part and I'm sorry for that . I definately need to make sure I give scripture references to back up what I say . I forget that many on here r here to learn because they don't already know the Bible well . I shall try to remember that there r newbies reading this site . I apologise for bring inconsiderate . It's not my first offence .

Why do people tend to lie? Why do some people first instinct is to lie. Did we inherent that from Adam and Eve.

I know it to be unwise to use any version outside of King James 1611 authorized version. The NIV is so corrupt it's embarrassing. Please, stay with KJV.

I see so much division in the church body. I don't understand that. People are divided over everything, every little thing. Who then can make it?

If we can't get along here and be unified, how will we spend eternity together?

That is why I pray to love my brother AND my enemy. (We are commanded to love our enemies too.) Is the love word used in both of these commands the same root word?

What are the things scripturally that we should be divided over? Besides the obvious stuff. Is it every little thing?

I just feel such a deep despair over this right now and it's grieving my spirit. Why are we so divided? Does this grieve the heart of God?

Are there scriptures about this? Why do we have so many different denominations? Does that grieve the heart of God?

Is it biblical to have a church Needs Committee with 3 people 2 are cochairs and they decide everything the church wants and needs and without their approval the church can't act even if deacons want something?

where in the Bible can I find if Jesus told man and woman as husband and wife, the way of their relationship and duties? My daughters husband left her because she got pregnant with their third child and quit her job. But he works and makes enough to pay their bills and have most of what they want.

If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar; for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen? 1John 4:20

How can I truly love my brother?

Lord help me to look at everyone through eyes of love. Love covers a multitude of transgressions.

Help me to look at everyone through eyes of mercy! The same eyes of mercy you look at me with.

Help me to love my brother and my enemy alike.

We may be spending eternity together! :-))

This is my sincere desire Lord.

    Matthew 12:50

    (Who is my brother?)

    1 John 3:11-17

    (Loving my brother)

1John is an amazing book of the Bible. Short read. Only 5 chapters. But I highly recommend it!

God bless you and keep you. :-).

    Reference: 2 Chronicles Chapter 21 Verse 17 vs 2 Chronicles Chapter 22 Verse 1

King Jehoram youngest son is named Jehoahaz (2:21:17) why is his named referred as Ahaziah when he becomes the next King of Judah (2:22:1)

Note: 2 Kings confirms only the name Ahaziah; It does not say the name Jehoahaz.

I am new to the word of God but I have always been his rock. I am reading the bible linear from Genesis to Revelation to know his word. It is very complex but this is the first point of which I perceive a discrepancy. Am I reading incorrectly? Can you provide an explanation for the name change; please enlighten me?
