What is THE "law of God"? Where can I find it in scripture? Is THE law of God more than the 10 commandments?

Also; we are given "a portion of faith"...can we increase that portion?

I want to know why man has changed the meaning of the fear of the Lord to be in awe of Him, to reverence Him, to respect Him, to honor Him?

We are to choose the fear of the Lord which keeps us quiet from the fear of evil

    Proverbs 1:29-33.

We must seek the Lord so that we shall come to understand the fear of the Lord....and the knowledge of God

    Proverbs 2:5-11

How can we trust in the Lord with all our heart without leaning unto our own understanding if we do not seek Him?

How can we depart from evil except by the fear of the Lord.

    Proverbs 3:5-7

Many speak as though they have never feared the Lord.

    1 John 4:18

Therefore, did they ever choose the fear of the Lord? NO they did not choose the fear of the Lord.

Do men depart from evil by being in awe of Him, by reverence; honor; respect?

And if all those things were the true meaning of the fear of the Lord, they should no longer be in awe of Him, or reverence Him, or honor Him, or respect Him. All these things would be cast out by perfect love.

The fear of the Lord is clean and endures forever.

i give all to Jesus fully, and this is what i desire for all of my grandchildren in their lives i am raising five of my grandchildren they are all boys, and sometimes it seems, so hard because he will be 18 November 13, 2020. For some reason I can see poor judgement on his behalf. His friends is not the type of friends that God, and I approve. The other four boys is watching him, and they desire to follow him. They really looks up to him, but we pray together, talk, together, read together but he want the world. Sometimes it looks like he wants all that it have to offer. Sometimes he can get in a distance, and stay locked up in his room, because i moved him away from the big fast city life from around his friends, but they want leave him along, and he has no desire for them to leave him along. He keep pushing to get back over there. What do you do when you no this is not for this child?

I have a question and I do not know how to get the answer on here so I hope I can somehow but the question is I Married my Wife when we were in our early 20's like 23 years old and she had been married before to a mean man and divorced him but my question is I was also 23 or so and I know it is a sin to marry a woman that her x is still alive and at that time in our lives this was not even a issue even though it should have been but anyway we have had two kids and she had one when we got married and we have all been a great loving family all these years and still are so will God forgive me for this? It has really been bothering me and looking for the truth. Thanks!

    Hi to everyone

I am new Christian, started to read Bible around one year ago, attended some Bible lessons and discussions and pray daily. Sometimes it is harder than other times, sometimes I get absent mind but on other occasions I manage to put myself fully into prayer. My issue is that I don't fell Holy Spirit or when I ask God for guidance or advice I fell only silence. Can someone give me some guidance or perhaps tell me more from personal experience please?

  • Using The Website Search Engine Links on Mark 1 - 5 years ago
Have you tried using the Search Boxes that are above the red area where you click the link to come in here? One is blank: you type in what you are searching. Hit the arrow.

The search engine will bring up all scriptures with that word in it. Click on either Old Testament only or New Testament only. It will pare down your list.

After you find your scripture, click on it and it is highlighted yellow.

Scroll down to the Commentary Box and click on that. Reading that is helpful.

It takes a little use to get used to it. It's helpful to read all scriptures written on a certain subject, such as baptism or the "caught up" (rapture) event, or the Bema Seat Judgement of Christ.
