    Deuteronomy 9:3, Psalms 106:23, Genesis 19:13,

    Matthew 5:17, Hebrews 2:14, Revelation 20:14,

    Hopefully these are helpful.

I agree Mike. It does seem awkward having a question mark at the end of verse 13, but I suppose that the translators felt they needed to put one in there because the question in verse 12 required it to be somewhere. Maybe, it would have better read, "And now, Israel, what doth the LORD thy God require of thee? Is it not to fear the LORD thy God, to walk in all his ways", etc. etc.

Deuteronomy 10 Verse 12 and 13 are apparently one sentence, so why do you think verse 13 ends as a list of questions and not as a list of commands? I've read it several times both ways and would appreciate your view. Thank you.

May the Lord bless our walk with Him. May we go forth bearing precious seed into the world we live in and obey the great commission by making disciples. Let us pray for the authority over us, for God ordained them ( Romans 13: 1-5; 1 Tim 2:1-3)

My prayer is that no one be lost, and that all find the salvation of the Lord Jesus Christ. ( 2 Peter 3:9)

May we all abide in His Word. For His coming is nigh.

type....yes that is why I post here so that God can tell me now or later if I said something good or bad. Kind of like a prayer. If I typed something wrong I pray that He will correct me. Or ya'll can tell me if I err. I'm from the south so I say Ya'll a lot. It's the law down here. jk

Not true foreigners. For they lived in this land before they went down into Egypt.
  • BSP on Deuteronomy 10 - 6 years ago
Verse 19~The Israelites were to remember that they were foreigners and they were to have love for foreigners and treat them fairly.

Deuteronomy 10:20 "Thou shalt fear the LORD thy God, Him shalt thou serve, and to him thou shalt cleave, and swear by His name." v. 21 "He is thy praise, and he is thy God,"

"Love ye therefore the stranger: for ye were strangers in the land of Egypt:" as it says in another place; "..for you know the heart of a stranger." Sometimes when we're new to the things of the Lord we somehow think that our new found little bit of knowledge now makes us superior to our unsaved family, friends and neighbors, and the terrible crisis we were in just a short time ago seems far away!
  • Lindy on Deuteronomy 10 - 7 years ago
Vs 18 and 19 are truly compelling. God calls the Israelites to remember that they were strangers in Egypt. God admonishes us to love strangers as he does. He wants us to assist by giving them food and raiment.

Hello everyone,I just wanted to add a side note to this message,we should remember what we say or even type, for if we make an impression upon people and they actually listen, then when we are face to face with GOD we will bear the inquity of their lives, their blood will be on our hands, all we say and do should be filled with light and love, love not just the persecuted but the persecuters,God blessU

I see that God chooses His leaders particularly, to lead in various areas of life . Be aware of your surrounding, as you worship be aware of Gods instructions there's always situations that need a true child of God to intervene or lead boldly. YOU MAY NEVER KNOW THE PLAN OF GOD FOR ALL HIS CHILDREN THROUGH YOU.

Charity, like. Moses said the LORD said unto me, Arise... God chose Moses to be a deliverer of the people of Israel. That also meant a leader and prince who was coming to the end of their journey in the desert or wilderness. The battle for the promised land was to begin before Israel crossed the Jordan river and Moses was to lead them through instructing and praying for them as the fought the giants of the land like Sihon and og. Glory be to God in the highest through our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Amen!

I heard a voice in a dream mentioning Deuteronomy chapter 10 verse 11. I read it but don 't understand it.
  • Geri on Deuteronomy 10:8 - 9 years ago
Possibly foreshadowing the coming of Yeshua Jesus out of the tribe of Levi through his mother. Yeshua alone lived perfectly, according to our Father 's will. He fulfilled every law to the letter, the true way it was written to teach us the Way to the Father.

  • Ethelware on Deuteronomy 10 - 10 years ago
Ethel thoughts here are in to parts 1 the old testament way was they saw the hand of GOD moving on there behalf and they was still stiffnecked prophets to guide them and they still rebell against God so God was saying come back to me and keep my commandments put away those other gods from before me and these things I will do heal you deliver you bless you you will prosper you and your seed 2 Jesus came along and said come as you are and follow me do as I do go where I go and when I leave I will send you back my spirit and you will do just as I did one song writer said I don t believe He brought me this far to leave me thats a true statement remembering where the Lord has brought us from so do good and keep the promise in mind through Christ all these things are promise to us to wealth good health and blessings and a chance to be with Father one day Amen

i think that the bible is a long story of how life should be lived and not how it was
  • James on Deuteronomy 10 - 11 years ago
Our God is a good God,He understands our framework and that is why He had to redo the ten commandments. What He requires of us is to recognize sovereignity, honor Him,fear Him to be knowledgable of Him,loving and serving Him as our Lord.Since He regards no one,He will meet with all thy needs despite your situation and non of the promises upon your life will NOT be Fulfilled.AMEN.
  • John on Deuteronomy 10:21 - 11 years ago
The Leaders of many nations in conflict have done great (their view) and terrible things (victims view). God gives his children the ability to understand compassion and that no other nation(s) will do terrible things unto them if they only believe!
  • Bonnie bartlett on Deuteronomy 10 - 11 years ago
In this chapter God is letting us to know that he is in charge; that we are on his agenda. This is the way to walk in it. He chose us that alone, he should make us want to follow him wholeheartedly. He has shown us wonder after wonder about his greatness, but still we stray and that's why we wander. Stop being disobedient, you can get to your promised land quicker.
  • Moses Maheno on Deuteronomy 10:17 - 12 years ago
For the LORD our God is the God of gods and the LORD of lords the great the Mighty and the awesome GOD who does not show partiality nor take a bribe. Hallelujah!!! Amen!!!

It shows us how we are to love God and all the things He has done and will do for those who love and honor Him.
