Another weakness I have had over the years is being easily manipulated for money in particular. There are different situations which need to be considered; one of the biggest if a person is truly saved and immature; truly in need or if they are simply using our faith as a weapon against us to control us either in subtle or more blunt ways to get what they want. If someone is a brother or sister in the Lord we have a responsibility to assist those truly in need but even Paul mentioned limits with some who were widows ( 1 Timothy 5:9). It is hard to have a set rule in such instances but we also have a responsibility to disciple and admonish one another when we see areas others need to grow if we truly care for them.
Narcissism isn't an honorable pasttime; and if that is the attitude we see as to a person indicating they can't do wrong (usually badmouthing others for their situation) we should pick up on such behaviours. I pray that the local churches those here attend will have some policy to help those in need; including finding housing even in their own homes if possible. I am glad to see those in my church with adopted and foster kids in particular who have reached out beyond their comfort zones.
I must say that we can never rest on our laurels; so to speak. Now that I have some more financial assets it isn't unexpected that more is asked of me. I will say that as suggested in the last post we should owe no man anything; this is the case when I give to missionaries. High pressure tactics are frequented by some Charities; obviously the poor are always with us; but we should ask for wisdom as the book of James mentions before throwing money around. Nonetheless; we see one aspect of tongues in a heavenly language is for self edification and hence it is for the believer only if no interpretation exists and presumably it would have to be another earthly language if outsiders who were nonbelievers happened to hear it.
In the same passages of Corinthians we see prophecy discussed as being for edification of believers; nonetheless something like a famine and preparation for such would likely be observed by the world. What we don't see here as I emphasized in the last posting is some big demonstration on video of these true spiritual gifts to promulgate a sideshow; much like the enemy was doing with the possessed woman in Acts 16:16-18. We note that in this particular case the truth was being said Jesus was the way not just a way to be saved. This level of deception requires discernment that I would say is largely nonexistent today with error rife in so many so called ministries.
in short; of course we "all need each other". That is the purpose of the gifts to edify as well as of course in some cases draw those God has called. We are warned; for instance to not hastily lay hands on someone in 1 Timothy 5:22. We could end up either being affected by a demon or allowing someone not tested or mature to inadvertently or perhaps even deliberately pass on a demon to someone desiring healing.
There are two extremes as with any situation that we can fall prey to. In the first as stated above we can assume that we can trust those in our church fellowship who on the outside conform to what is considered normal church patterns of behavior without testing their convictions and fruit in their lives. We also can close our hearts to correction; to those who may visit from the outside or untrained laypersons of discernment.
1 Timothy 5:13 - And withal they learn to be idle, wandering about from house to house; and not only idle, but tattlers also and busybodies, speaking things which they ought not.
And not only idle, but tattlers. The word tattlers is literally the word gossipers. And busybodies, speaking things that they ought not. He says these people you have to refuse because they don't have much to do, and if the church takes care of them, they're going to have a lot of idle time, and they're going to be going from house to house getting involved in conversations and gossip, and slander, and saying things against people that they shouldn't say.
1 Timothy 5:14 - I will therefore that the younger women marry, bear children, guide the house, give none occasion to the adversary to speak reproachfully.
I will therefore that the younger women marry, number two, bear children, number three, guide the house (OIKODESPOTEIN), and that's literally the word for administration, not just raising children, but run the household. Give no occasion to the adversary to speak reproachfully. Don't give Satan an opportunity to speak against the things of the Lord.
1 Timothy 5:16 - If any man or woman that believeth have widows, let them relieve them, and let not the church be charged; that it may relieve them that are widows indeed.

The word charged means burdened. That the church itself might relieve the ones that are widows indeed. That is, the widows who are alone and don't have a means. But not only if she's alone and doesn't have any means of income, but it's her character as well, because the church is not to support people, no matter who they are, that are going to have the free time.
They are not really devoted or committed to Christ but supporting them gives them the time to go out and cause trouble.
1 Timothy 5:3-16 - I am not going to type all these verses here but I would like to share something here on this section of scripture which gives us the instruction concerning widows. In this section, it uses the phrase genuine widows, or widows indeed.
And you might say a widow is a widow, so what's the difference? As far as the church goes, a genuine widow isn't someone who has just lost a husband, but someone who doesn't have a family or anyone. But in the scriptures, in order for the church to be responsible for genuine widows, they must have godly character, and secondly, no means of support. And as we go through this, we see the classification of widows.
1 Timothy 5:7 - And these things give in charge, that they may be blameless.
And these things give charge (that is, command), that they may be unimpeachable. The word blameless is the same word used for an elder back in Chapter 3 Verse 3.
1 Timothy 5:10 - Well reported of for good works; if she have brought up children, if she have lodged strangers, if she have washed the saints' feet, if she have relieved the afflicted, if she have diligently followed every good work.
If she has diligently followed every good work. The word good is AGATHOS which is representative of spiritual work, God's work. In other words, if she still has time on her hands, what kind of things is she looking for to get into? It should be the things of the Lord.
1 Timothy 5:11 - But the younger widows refuse: for when they have begun to wax wanton against Christ, they will marry;
The term wax wanton (KATASTRENIASOSIN) means to give in to their sensual desires. And this is against Christ.
Apostle Paul explains why we are not laying hands to heal sickness. We can pray to the Father in Heaven, but it's through prayer only and then waiting. Remember covid-19.

Now that we have the completed Bible written, we don't need signs and wonders. All we do is rely on the Holy Spirit to teach us the Word of Truth.

Hope you don't mind me barging in attempting to answer your question. It is something that has mystified me over the years.
Getting over the preliminaries; that is making sure that we aren't living in unconfessed sin and grieving the Spirit; and that we truly ARE sensing the Spirit and not some other influence I will post several ideas.
First off; there are individuals going through struggles within the Body of Christ who we may never have met that the Lord wants to intercede for. Whatever a battle is going on in the spiritual dimension we are all involved as soldiers of Christ as I see it. Romans 12:15 says to rejoice with those who rejoice; mourn for those who mourn. There are often demons who are going after us as well as our loved ones or again; those who may be nearby who are also fighting some of the same evil forces.
We realize that only in Christ did the Spirit work without measure ( John 3:34). This did NOT mean for Him that He didn't have to endure suffering and a feeling of abandonment at the crucifixion but no doubt other occasions; just as Paul also felt many had abandoned Him. He had the exceedingly great revelation ( 2 Corinthians 12:2) but nonetheless had the thorn in his flesh afterwards to keep him relying on the Lord for His strength (verse 7 in same chapter).
It is prayer which helps us to garner our strength; and therefore equip us for the battle. This key element the enemy will do all he can to thwart as there is nothing he can't stand like the Spirit truly moving in a local body of believers.
There are people who are living in a lifestyle of sin who can also quell the Spirit. There are also warnings about not having hands laid on hastily as someone could be operating in a different spirit ( 1 Timothy 5:22).
It is indeed mysterious how these things operate; but if we learn to discern His voice and have long term obedience producing good fruit we will have these experiences more frequently. Hope that helps...
1 Timothy 5:21 seems to answer that question regarding the "elect angels". I don't believe any elect beings can ultimately fall; but in the case of the angels they saw heaven and were present when the worlds were created as the verses in Job indicate when all the sons of glory shouted for joy. This begs the question of course did God foresee all those who would fall and call the remaining the elect; or were they predestined to go that way? I would say both as God certainly is unlimited. Seeing everything as the angels did there could be no further remedy unlike mortal man who has never seen God or only what they learned starting in Eden. Seeing heaven as Lucifer did and more importantly the proper praise of God's holiness in the beginning also would have made it clear what worshiping a created being would imply. This is similar to the logic I apply to the Tribulation at least from the sixth seal on there is no more need to tell anyone that Christ is Lord as they will hide from the face of God and Christ at His right hand ( Revelation 6:16 imperfectly translated by me).
Clearly of course God's predestined plan from before the foundation of the world for our salvation (I'll let you find the verse) shows that God knew what was going to occur. This doesn't give us a pleasant feeling; and we should be reminded the dirge said related to Lucifer's fall in Isaiah 14 and Ezekiel 28. Once the angels saw all these things there was no need for validation of who God was; and there was also no further remedy-they were forever to be out of the favor of God with the ultimate destiny of hell (which was created for the Devil and his angels).
This should be a sobering reminder to man that there is a point beyond redemption once we have tasted heavenly things as Hebrews and literally hundreds of other scriptures point out in warnings of reprobate individuals and those who at first glance appear to be saved who fall away. There is a book of all living and of life.
I have much to work on in my life before my SAVIOR comes. I am saved by the blood of the LAMB by grace through faith it is a gift I received from my CHRIST. Ephesians 2: 8, 9. I must remember to daily put on my armor of GOD Ephesians 6:10-18; and that I am a new creature. 2 Corinthians 5:17

There are terms in the Bible such as twice dead and Second death. " Jude 1:12, Revelation 2:11, Revelation 20:14 and Revelation 21:8.
Paul says in Romans 7:9 For I was alive without the law once: but when the commandment came, sin revived, and I died.
Which death did he die? The 1st or the 2nd?
An unbeliever is ALREADY dead! Yet he is still continuous.
( 1 Timothy 5:6.) This is a very common NT idiom. The word (noun) for "dead" is "nekros" and is used of physical death (obviously) but also spiritual death to describe an unsaved person who is physically alive but spiritually dead. Here are some examples:
Matt 8:22 - But Jesus told him, "Follow me, and let the dead bury their own dead."
Eph 2:1 - As for you, you were dead in your transgressions and sins,
Eph 2:5 - made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions--it is by grace you have been saved.
Eph 5:14 - This is why it is said: "Wake up, sleeper, rise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you.
Col 2:13 - When you were dead in your sins and in the uncircumcision of your flesh, God made you alive with Christ. He forgave us all our sins.
Eternal Salvation is life! It is separation from this Body/Tabernacle of death.
In Romans 6:3 we see the sacrificial Lamb at work.
In Romans 6:4-5 we see the NEW BIRTH and the first fruit of the Resurrection. This is the 1st Resurrection.
You are either dead right now or you have life right now!
Those who have life has already died once and has been born again, never to die again.
"Eternal life speaks of "spiritual life and death".
That's the only death a believer has. "He's already been born again"
Those who are dead is already spiritual dead and their bodies will soon die, and they will remain spiritual dead throughout eternity.
The bible doesn't say anything about being unconscious after the body dies. It has lots of scripture describing conscious.
If the grave is Hell, the Bible never says anything about the saved going there.
To avoid them, you have to know who they are. You can't avoid somebody if you don't know who they are. This idea of identifying and avoiding shows up in
1 Corinthians 5:11;
2 Thessalonians 3:6,
2 Thessalonians 3:14;
2 Timothy 3:5;
2 John 1:10.
In other words, Christians, and shepherds in particular, should be discerning and alert to behavior and teaching that dishonors Christ and destroys people - and not treat it in a casual or harmless way.
And then in 1 Timothy 5:19-20, Paul went beyond just "avoid them" to "rebuke them publicly." So, speaking of elders who persist in error, he said, "Do not admit a charge against an elder except on the evidence of two or three witnesses. As for those who persist in sin" - and that can be sin of false doctrine or sin of evil behavior, anyone who does not accept correction - "rebuke them in the presence of all, so that the rest may stand in fear.."
And then Paul went on and actually named destructive false teachers:
"Demas, in love with this present world, has deserted me" 2 Timothy 4:10.
You are aware that all who are in Asia turned away from me, among whom are Phygelus and Hermogenes" 2 Timothy 1:15.
"By rejecting this [faith and a good conscience], some have made shipwreck of their faith, among whom are Hymenaeus and Alexander" 1 Timothy 1:19-20.
"Their talk will spread like gangrene. Among them are Hymenaeus and Philetus" ( 2 Timothy 2:17).
Paul names at least six false teachers that the church should watch out for.
So, I infer from Jesus and Paul and Luke and John that false teaching and destructive behavior are present dangers in this fallen world for the church. And all of us - especially shepherds, pastors - should be alert and discerning to identify and, in appropriate ways, expose. In order to protect the flock, we should expose them and minimize the spread of the gangrene (as Paul calls it).

The answers to your questions are actually found throughout the Bible (from Genesis to Revelation), because the Bible essentially shows us how far mankind has fallen away from his Creator (because of sin), the repercussions we face from living in such a sinful state, & what God has done to offer correction & help, or else, judgement. So, one merely has to read through the Bible (even in your daily devotions/readings) & will see how people, yes all of us, have done wrong towards God & man & what subsequently entails from that. Some will learn & be corrected & then restored - others will persist in their evil ways & face God's Judgement.
So, here are some passages to start you off, but in your reading of the Bible, God's Spirit will alert you to what you seek or even where some action needs to be taken in your own life.
These are just a very few Scriptures, reminding us that there will always be consequences for our actions, not just in our dealings with each other, but more importantly, as we stand before God. But this God of Love always gives sinful wayward man an escape route, from a life of sin to a life of holiness & love - and His Name is Jesus.
In my last post I ended with a discussion of the legalism of the Pharisees; as well as those that have what I call "sloppy Agape" or attempt to gloss over sin and use grace and forgiveness of all past; present and future sins as their excuse. In both of these cases at least for those who remain in a church fellowship we see an idolization of the Pastor most often who no doubt is contributing to one or the other error mentioned here. A true believer would move on if there is heresy coming from one of their own (see Acts 20:30). Justifying self righteousness is aided; of course when someone is financially well to do and credits the church leadership that promises "sowing a seed" will add to prosperity for all (whether or not they are giving a large sum themselves). The opposite of this are those widows and old ladies who are fleeced to their last dollar mesmerized by a Pastor who promises health and happiness with obedience and warns against not doing this despite what common sense would otherwise show.
This first paragraph assumes corrupt leadership. Another sign of our faith is respecting elders and pastors who ARE feeding the flock and tending the sheep properly. (see 1 Timothy 5:17). Disrespect of such authority often mainfests in impatience if a sermon runs 5 minutes late; frustration when genuine financial needs are brought up; lack of participation and interest in prayer and doing service projects in the church and for the comunity; etc. Beyond this; the admonitions of 1 John about loving the brethren are ignored (see 1 John 4:20). Such parishioners will sometimes leave; and we shouldn't strive to force them to stay.
There are others attempting to spread false doctrines which were of course never part of the true flock (see 1 John 2:19). They may leave but if not need to be dealt with lest they be a cancer that affects the whole flock (see warning in Galatians 5:9).
In Jude the vengeance of eternal fire is not referring to the fire rained down on them in regard to this topic because that fire wasn't eternal and that wasn't their judgement of their second death but the fire that awaits them will be the fire mentioned in Jude.
The example set forth in Jude is them being ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ. Same as the people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed them that believed not.
And the angels which kept not their first estate but left their own habitation.
Jude is putting his recipients in remembrance that these all is reserved to execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed, and of all their hard speeches which ungodly sinners have spoken against him.
These are murmurers, complainers, walking after their own lusts; and their mouth speaketh great swelling words, having men's persons in admiration because of advantage.

There would have to be teeth to gnash and if that's just a metaphor for a reaction to pain, if there is no body or no longer any existence it doesn't make since.

Verses on repentance are rife in the scriptures. Taking a proactive approach after a confession of faith toward living a life of holiness separates the real from the pretenders; whether in our own lives or confronting the sin of others.
Such a matter as suing one another ( 1 Corinthians 6) illustrates how making proper judgments within the Body of Christ is to occur; so that Matthew 7:1 is taken into proper context. Naturally; we are to straighten out our walk to avoid hypocrisy and to see clearly; as Jesus indicated to take the speck out of a brother's eye. Psalm 139:24 indicates a prayer to see any "offensive way" in us. As my earlier post indicates; we can seek to conform our outer behaviors so that we don't cuss; drink; smoke or dance for example but we can still foster pride or greed or something else. This is the methodology which fails when trying to reform people without the Lord transforming the heart; merely substituting one sin for another. Or; as some have said we need a new "wanter". None of these actions to curtail behaviors will make us love God any more without Him ruling and reigning in our lives.
This desire not to shake the apple cart as it were stops many from confronting sins of others; which is a necessary tool to bring forth repentance when evangelizing as well as confronting things within the church. The sin NATURE; of course is the focus which needs to be stressed on the streets but we also see individuals with sinful lifestyles that must be repented of. That principle is for nonbelievers and those who confess Christ as well in light of 1 John 3:8-10. 1 Timothy 5:20 shows how indeed these confrontations are necessary in the church; and a responsibility of those in authority; such as Timothy was after Paul instructed him and trained him. 1 Timothy 5:24 shows how certain sins are more obvious than others; but all will be judged.

XXI. OF THE GRACE OF TITHING AND GIVING
I believe God's plan of finance for His Baptist Church's is to be tithes and offerings. Scriptural giving is one of the fundamentals of the faith. I believe that every Believer, as a steward of that portion of God's wealth entrusted to him or her, is obligated to support his or her Baptist Church financially. I believe that God has established the tithe as a basis of giving but that every Believer should also give other offerings sacrificially and cheerfully to the support of his or her Baptist Church for the relief of those in need, and the spread of the Gospel. I believe that Church members are commanded to bring their tithes and offerings into the Storehouse (Common Treasury) of their Baptist Church upon the first day of the week (Sunday). I believe that a Believer relinquishes all rights to direct the use of the tithe or offering once the gift has been made. I believe under grace we give, and do not pay, the tithe - "Abraham GAVE a tenth part of all." "Abraham GAVE the tenth part of the spoils," and this was four hundred years before the Law, and is confirmed in the New Testament, the Lord Jesus Himself said concerning the tithe, "... these ought ye to have done ..." ( Genesis 14:20; Leviticus 27:30; Proverbs 3:9, 10; Malachi 3:10; Matthew 23:23; Luke 11:42; Acts 4:34, 35, 37; 1 Corinthians 16:2; 2 Corinthians 8:7; 2 Corinthians 9:6, 7; Galatians 6:6; Ephesians 4:28; 1 Timothy 5:17, 18; Hebrews 7:2, 4; 1 John 3:17).
Hello Eula. I can't recall anything as specific as your question being answered in the Bible; but the following Scriptures relate to giving honor & care to parents, family & others near to you.
You can read in 1 Timothy 5:1-5 where Paul says that every creature God has created is good and nothing should be refused if it is received with thanksgiving, for it is sanctified by the word of God. This he said in response to false teachers who teach certain O.T. dietary restrictions.
1 Corinthians 4:5 speaks volume to us since saints understand the mysteries revealed to the faithful and Romans 1:6 & Romans 8:28. For saints know Isaiah 5:20. We are where we are today. God is so great to allow us to do things in life in our own free will where in the end The Glory belongs to God. God allowed me to have worked with great scientists in America with great heart. I do not need to understand and question everything at the spare of the moment. I just know the paths God lead me in was not to question authorities in the land. God has the heavenly plans and those are what I am and every saint must be very excited about. When you walk in the Spirit of God, you are like in a trance. Next thing you know someone tells you on earth job well done. Not to boast but again and again to Glorify God because He helped you to do job well done. I can control only me and hopefully have a strong influence with my family and friends and anybody that touches my life to follow God as I walk the walk and talk the talk. Even 1 Timothy 5:4 saints take it to heart. All is good with God James 1:17 and all are Your's 1 Corinthians 3:21-23. I know It is easy said and done here on earth. We all have afflictions and to some unbearable 2 Corinthians 6:4. I thank God for the blood of Jesus Christ for that power is in everyone who put his trust, faith and believe in that He will never leaves you. Psalms 91 memorize!

When Mary consented, the Holy Spirit overshadowed her and Jesus became human through her obedience.
Earth was created for man; for humans. Lucifer/Satan is not human. They are created by God, angels. God evicted Satan with his now evil angels to earth to roam. They are not human and have no bodies. They can borrow bodies of evil humans or creatures. I don't believe Satan had knowledge of what God was doing. He only knew Genesis 3:15.
When Jesus died on the Cross and shed his
Blood for Whosoever in John 3:16, the plan of God was now "in force". Genesis 3:15 was fulfilled.
Satan lost what he stole from Adam: authority. Wicked humans can give their authority to the Lord Jesus, or Satan. They must choose just one. We can only be born again through the shed blood of Jesus. He is the door and the narrow gate by which we are passed from spiritual death, into eternal life; and into heaven at death.
Satan is the one who hurts people. He is a Liar, a thief and a hunter of souls. He blinds people to their spiritual need of forgiveness through Jesus Christ.
Sometimes we get side-tracked by blaming God for difficulties in our lives. Death of people we loved, and many reasons. Satan causes misery and suffering. Jesus offers salvation from that. If our prayer life is active and strong in scripture, we can be healed even now, and delivered from satanic attacks (read book of Job).
Problem is if we don't study the Bible, we do not know what is available to us. Job was delivered from all the hurt Satan caused (loss of children, his wife's trust, property, livelihood; health etc). He gets it all back plus more, at the end of the story.
This is not a long dead story. It is scripture WE STAND ON when Praying to God concerning our needs. Concerning return of things eaten up by cankerworm and locust (curses and attacks from Satan).
Ephesians 6 clearly says Satan and evil spirits are INVISIBLE. We can spot them in our lives by their FRUITS.
What a great chapter to learn how great God we have. Glory to God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ and peace to all living saints who are very much guided by the Holy Spirit of God.

The entire Romans 8 is good. God knows your heart's desire. Your prayers are already heard. Keep the faith. 1 Timothy 5:4 .let them learn first to shew piety at home, and to requite their parents: for that is good and acceptable before God.
And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. Take care.

Comment: When God married Adam and Eve ( Genesis 1:24-25) they became one flesh.
Modern people: when we "break off one relationship and start another". There are "soul ties" left hanging. It's best to be betrothed for a year. This happened in the FIRST book of the Bible. (not 1 Corinthians 13). If a couple cannot keep the friendship alive, there is less chance of a lifelong marriage with one partner. Phillipians 2, for more reading.

There is a difference between trying to follow God's way/commandments and fail and subsequently repent and be forgiven AND do sin deliberately, especially live in a sinful situation with no intention to repent at all. Paul advices christians not to even have anything to do with such persons. 1 Corinthians 5:11-12
"But now I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolater, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such an one no not to eat ...But them that are without God judgeth. Therefore PUT AWAY from among yourselves that wicked person."
They should either warn their pastor that that situation can not be tolerated any more or change pastor or even leave that church.
The verse you are looking for is in 1 Timothy 5:24. GBU
Another weakness I have had over the years is being easily manipulated for money in particular. There are different situations which need to be considered; one of the biggest if a person is truly saved and immature; truly in need or if they are simply using our faith as a weapon against us to control us either in subtle or more blunt ways to get what they want. If someone is a brother or sister in the Lord we have a responsibility to assist those truly in need but even Paul mentioned limits with some who were widows ( 1 Timothy 5:9). It is hard to have a set rule in such instances but we also have a responsibility to disciple and admonish one another when we see areas others need to grow if we truly care for them.
Narcissism isn't an honorable pasttime; and if that is the attitude we see as to a person indicating they can't do wrong (usually badmouthing others for their situation) we should pick up on such behaviours. I pray that the local churches those here attend will have some policy to help those in need; including finding housing even in their own homes if possible. I am glad to see those in my church with adopted and foster kids in particular who have reached out beyond their comfort zones.
I must say that we can never rest on our laurels; so to speak. Now that I have some more financial assets it isn't unexpected that more is asked of me. I will say that as suggested in the last post we should owe no man anything; this is the case when I give to missionaries. High pressure tactics are frequented by some Charities; obviously the poor are always with us; but we should ask for wisdom as the book of James mentions before throwing money around. That includes checking out sites such as C
Nonetheless; we see one aspect of tongues in a heavenly language is for self edification and hence it is for the believer only if no interpretation exists and presumably it would have to be another earthly language if outsiders who were nonbelievers happened to hear it.
In the same passages of Corinthians we see prophecy discussed as being for edification of believers; nonetheless something like a famine and preparation for such would likely be observed by the world. What we don't see here as I emphasized in the last posting is some big demonstration on video of these true spiritual gifts to promulgate a sideshow; much like the enemy was doing with the possessed woman in Acts 16:16-18. We note that in this particular case the truth was being said Jesus was the way not just a way to be saved. This level of deception requires discernment that I would say is largely nonexistent today with error rife in so many so called ministries.
in short; of course we "all need each other". That is the purpose of the gifts to edify as well as of course in some cases draw those God has called. We are warned; for instance to not hastily lay hands on someone in 1 Timothy 5:22. We could end up either being affected by a demon or allowing someone not tested or mature to inadvertently or perhaps even deliberately pass on a demon to someone desiring healing.
There are two extremes as with any situation that we can fall prey to. In the first as stated above we can assume that we can trust those in our church fellowship who on the outside conform to what is considered normal church patterns of behavior without testing their convictions and fruit in their lives. We also can close our hearts to correction; to those who may visit from the outside or untrained laypersons of discernment.
1 Timothy 5:13 - And withal they learn to be idle, wandering about from house to house; and not only idle, but tattlers also and busybodies, speaking things which they ought not.
And not only idle, but tattlers. The word tattlers is literally the word gossipers. And busybodies, speaking things that they ought not. He says these people you have to refuse because they don't have much to do, and if the church takes care of them, they're going to have a lot of idle time, and they're going to be going from house to house getting involved in conversations and gossip, and slander, and saying things against people that they shouldn't say.
1 Timothy 5:14 - I will therefore that the younger women marry, bear children, guide the house, give none occasion to the adversary to speak reproachfully.
I will therefore that the younger women marry, number two, bear children, number three, guide the house (OIKODESPOTEIN), and that's literally the word for administration, not just raising children, but run the household. Give no occasion to the adversary to speak reproachfully. Don't give Satan an opportunity to speak against the things of the Lord.
1 Timothy 5:16 - If any man or woman that believeth have widows, let them relieve them, and let not the church be charged; that it may relieve them that are widows indeed.

The word charged means burdened. That the church itself might relieve the ones that are widows indeed. That is, the widows who are alone and don't have a means. But not only if she's alone and doesn't have any means of income, but it's her character as well, because the church is not to support people, no matter who they are, that are going to have the free time.
They are not really devoted or committed to Christ but supporting them gives them the time to go out and cause trouble.
1 Timothy 5:3-16 - I am not going to type all these verses here but I would like to share something here on this section of scripture which gives us the instruction concerning widows. In this section, it uses the phrase genuine widows, or widows indeed.
And you might say a widow is a widow, so what's the difference? As far as the church goes, a genuine widow isn't someone who has just lost a husband, but someone who doesn't have a family or anyone. But in the scriptures, in order for the church to be responsible for genuine widows, they must have godly character, and secondly, no means of support. And as we go through this, we see the classification of widows.
1 Timothy 5:7 - And these things give in charge, that they may be blameless.
And these things give charge (that is, command), that they may be unimpeachable. The word blameless is the same word used for an elder back in Chapter 3 Verse 3.
1 Timothy 5:10 - Well reported of for good works; if she have brought up children, if she have lodged strangers, if she have washed the saints' feet, if she have relieved the afflicted, if she have diligently followed every good work.
If she has diligently followed every good work. The word good is AGATHOS which is representative of spiritual work, God's work. In other words, if she still has time on her hands, what kind of things is she looking for to get into? It should be the things of the Lord.
1 Timothy 5:11 - But the younger widows refuse: for when they have begun to wax wanton against Christ, they will marry;
The term wax wanton (KATASTRENIASOSIN) means to give in to their sensual desires. And this is against Christ.

Drink no longer water, but use a littlewinefor thy stomach's sake and thine often infirmities.
note: things were changing, no more hands on healing.
Only God can heal the sick in prayer.
Philippians 2:27

Apostle Paul just couldn't lay hands for healing anymore, God has changed it all for the Bible.

Now that we have the completed Bible written, we don't need signs and wonders. All we do is rely on the Holy Spirit to teach us the Word of Truth.

The gospel of grace for to day.
Getting over the preliminaries; that is making sure that we aren't living in unconfessed sin and grieving the Spirit; and that we truly ARE sensing the Spirit and not some other influence I will post several ideas.
First off; there are individuals going through struggles within the Body of Christ who we may never have met that the Lord wants to intercede for. Whatever a battle is going on in the spiritual dimension we are all involved as soldiers of Christ as I see it. Romans 12:15 says to rejoice with those who rejoice; mourn for those who mourn. There are often demons who are going after us as well as our loved ones or again; those who may be nearby who are also fighting some of the same evil forces.
We realize that only in Christ did the Spirit work without measure ( John 3:34). This did NOT mean for Him that He didn't have to endure suffering and a feeling of abandonment at the crucifixion but no doubt other occasions; just as Paul also felt many had abandoned Him. He had the exceedingly great revelation ( 2 Corinthians 12:2) but nonetheless had the thorn in his flesh afterwards to keep him relying on the Lord for His strength (verse 7 in same chapter).
It is prayer which helps us to garner our strength; and therefore equip us for the battle. This key element the enemy will do all he can to thwart as there is nothing he can't stand like the Spirit truly moving in a local body of believers.
There are people who are living in a lifestyle of sin who can also quell the Spirit. There are also warnings about not having hands laid on hastily as someone could be operating in a different spirit ( 1 Timothy 5:22).
It is indeed mysterious how these things operate; but if we learn to discern His voice and have long term obedience producing good fruit we will have these experiences more frequently. Hope that helps...
Clearly of course God's predestined plan from before the foundation of the world for our salvation (I'll let you find the verse) shows that God knew what was going to occur. This doesn't give us a pleasant feeling; and we should be reminded the dirge said related to Lucifer's fall in Isaiah 14 and Ezekiel 28. Once the angels saw all these things there was no need for validation of who God was; and there was also no further remedy-they were forever to be out of the favor of God with the ultimate destiny of hell (which was created for the Devil and his angels).
This should be a sobering reminder to man that there is a point beyond redemption once we have tasted heavenly things as Hebrews and literally hundreds of other scriptures point out in warnings of reprobate individuals and those who at first glance appear to be saved who fall away. There is a book of all living and of life.
I will daily pray for those in authority, for the lost, back slidden, and for the brethren in the field planting and watering the seed, waiting for the increase from the LORD.

There are terms in the Bible such as twice dead and Second death. " Jude 1:12, Revelation 2:11, Revelation 20:14 and Revelation 21:8.
Paul says in Romans 7:9 For I was alive without the law once: but when the commandment came, sin revived, and I died.
Which death did he die? The 1st or the 2nd?
An unbeliever is ALREADY dead! Yet he is still continuous.
( 1 Timothy 5:6.) This is a very common NT idiom. The word (noun) for "dead" is "nekros" and is used of physical death (obviously) but also spiritual death to describe an unsaved person who is physically alive but spiritually dead. Here are some examples:
Matt 8:22 - But Jesus told him, "Follow me, and let the dead bury their own dead."
Eph 2:1 - As for you, you were dead in your transgressions and sins,
Eph 2:5 - made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions--it is by grace you have been saved.
Eph 5:14 - This is why it is said: "Wake up, sleeper, rise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you.
Col 2:13 - When you were dead in your sins and in the uncircumcision of your flesh, God made you alive with Christ. He forgave us all our sins.
Eternal Salvation is life! It is separation from this Body/Tabernacle of death.
In Romans 6:3 we see the sacrificial Lamb at work.
In Romans 6:4-5 we see the NEW BIRTH and the first fruit of the Resurrection. This is the 1st Resurrection.
You are either dead right now or you have life right now!
Those who have life has already died once and has been born again, never to die again.
"Eternal life speaks of "spiritual life and death".
That's the only death a believer has. "He's already been born again"
Those who are dead is already spiritual dead and their bodies will soon die, and they will remain spiritual dead throughout eternity.
The bible doesn't say anything about being unconscious after the body dies. It has lots of scripture describing conscious.
If the grave is Hell, the Bible never says anything about the saved going there.

To avoid them, you have to know who they are. You can't avoid somebody if you don't know who they are. This idea of identifying and avoiding shows up in
1 Corinthians 5:11;
2 Thessalonians 3:6,
2 Thessalonians 3:14;
2 Timothy 3:5;
2 John 1:10.
In other words, Christians, and shepherds in particular, should be discerning and alert to behavior and teaching that dishonors Christ and destroys people - and not treat it in a casual or harmless way.
And then in 1 Timothy 5:19-20, Paul went beyond just "avoid them" to "rebuke them publicly." So, speaking of elders who persist in error, he said, "Do not admit a charge against an elder except on the evidence of two or three witnesses. As for those who persist in sin" - and that can be sin of false doctrine or sin of evil behavior, anyone who does not accept correction - "rebuke them in the presence of all, so that the rest may stand in fear.."
And then Paul went on and actually named destructive false teachers:
"Demas, in love with this present world, has deserted me" 2 Timothy 4:10.
You are aware that all who are in Asia turned away from me, among whom are Phygelus and Hermogenes" 2 Timothy 1:15.
"By rejecting this [faith and a good conscience], some have made shipwreck of their faith, among whom are Hymenaeus and Alexander" 1 Timothy 1:19-20.
"Their talk will spread like gangrene. Among them are Hymenaeus and Philetus" ( 2 Timothy 2:17).
Paul names at least six false teachers that the church should watch out for.
So, I infer from Jesus and Paul and Luke and John that false teaching and destructive behavior are present dangers in this fallen world for the church. And all of us - especially shepherds, pastors - should be alert and discerning to identify and, in appropriate ways, expose. In order to protect the flock, we should expose them and minimize the spread of the gangrene (as Paul calls it).
AVOID, REBUKE, AND CALL OUT.

These are just a very few Scriptures, reminding us that there will always be consequences for our actions, not just in our dealings with each other, but more importantly, as we stand before God. But this God of Love always gives sinful wayward man an escape route, from a life of sin to a life of holiness & love - and His Name is Jesus.

The true gospel has been lost to the traditions and teachings of man.
The true gospel is what happened at Christ death and resurrection.
You were BAPTISED into the DEATH and RESURRECTION of Christ, you were baptised into the NAME of Jesus.
You DIED with Christ, you arose with Christ, you and Christ were MARRIED and became ONE, being raised together as ONE.
All creation was MADE NEW, the new heavens and the new earth, at his resurrection.
Salvation is about BELIEVING what God says he HAS DONE.
Your saved from DEATH.

In my last post I ended with a discussion of the legalism of the Pharisees; as well as those that have what I call "sloppy Agape" or attempt to gloss over sin and use grace and forgiveness of all past; present and future sins as their excuse. In both of these cases at least for those who remain in a church fellowship we see an idolization of the Pastor most often who no doubt is contributing to one or the other error mentioned here. A true believer would move on if there is heresy coming from one of their own (see Acts 20:30). Justifying self righteousness is aided; of course when someone is financially well to do and credits the church leadership that promises "sowing a seed" will add to prosperity for all (whether or not they are giving a large sum themselves). The opposite of this are those widows and old ladies who are fleeced to their last dollar mesmerized by a Pastor who promises health and happiness with obedience and warns against not doing this despite what common sense would otherwise show.
This first paragraph assumes corrupt leadership. Another sign of our faith is respecting elders and pastors who ARE feeding the flock and tending the sheep properly. (see 1 Timothy 5:17). Disrespect of such authority often mainfests in impatience if a sermon runs 5 minutes late; frustration when genuine financial needs are brought up; lack of participation and interest in prayer and doing service projects in the church and for the comunity; etc. Beyond this; the admonitions of 1 John about loving the brethren are ignored (see 1 John 4:20). Such parishioners will sometimes leave; and we shouldn't strive to force them to stay.
There are others attempting to spread false doctrines which were of course never part of the true flock (see 1 John 2:19). They may leave but if not need to be dealt with lest they be a cancer that affects the whole flock (see warning in Galatians 5:9).
LET US MEDITATE ON MATTHEW 10:16!!!
In Jude the vengeance of eternal fire is not referring to the fire rained down on them in regard to this topic because that fire wasn't eternal and that wasn't their judgement of their second death but the fire that awaits them will be the fire mentioned in Jude.
The example set forth in Jude is them being ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ. Same as the people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed them that believed not.
And the angels which kept not their first estate but left their own habitation.
Jude is putting his recipients in remembrance that these all is reserved to execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed, and of all their hard speeches which ungodly sinners have spoken against him.
These are murmurers, complainers, walking after their own lusts; and their mouth speaketh great swelling words, having men's persons in admiration because of advantage.
Have you noticed this group is twice dead, plucked up by the roots already before Judgement?
You can be dead while you liveth.
1 Timothy 5:6. So the body doesn't have to die to be considered dead in the vocabulary here and it doesn't take eternal fire to keep you dead.
I'm talking about the description of that everlasting punishment (Which is future for the unbeliever)
Scripture describes it as torment and weeping and gnashing of teeth due to the unquenchable fire.
There would have to be teeth to gnash and if that's just a metaphor for a reaction to pain, if there is no body or no longer any existence it doesn't make since.
It could be no reaction to it. Torment and weeping and gnashing of teeth is a reaction to the unquenchable fire in these particular verses.

Confrontation of sin
Verses on repentance are rife in the scriptures. Taking a proactive approach after a confession of faith toward living a life of holiness separates the real from the pretenders; whether in our own lives or confronting the sin of others.
Such a matter as suing one another ( 1 Corinthians 6) illustrates how making proper judgments within the Body of Christ is to occur; so that Matthew 7:1 is taken into proper context. Naturally; we are to straighten out our walk to avoid hypocrisy and to see clearly; as Jesus indicated to take the speck out of a brother's eye. Psalm 139:24 indicates a prayer to see any "offensive way" in us. As my earlier post indicates; we can seek to conform our outer behaviors so that we don't cuss; drink; smoke or dance for example but we can still foster pride or greed or something else. This is the methodology which fails when trying to reform people without the Lord transforming the heart; merely substituting one sin for another. Or; as some have said we need a new "wanter". None of these actions to curtail behaviors will make us love God any more without Him ruling and reigning in our lives.
This desire not to shake the apple cart as it were stops many from confronting sins of others; which is a necessary tool to bring forth repentance when evangelizing as well as confronting things within the church. The sin NATURE; of course is the focus which needs to be stressed on the streets but we also see individuals with sinful lifestyles that must be repented of. That principle is for nonbelievers and those who confess Christ as well in light of 1 John 3:8-10. 1 Timothy 5:20 shows how indeed these confrontations are necessary in the church; and a responsibility of those in authority; such as Timothy was after Paul instructed him and trained him. 1 Timothy 5:24 shows how certain sins are more obvious than others; but all will be judged.

I believe God's plan of finance for His Baptist Church's is to be tithes and offerings. Scriptural giving is one of the fundamentals of the faith. I believe that every Believer, as a steward of that portion of God's wealth entrusted to him or her, is obligated to support his or her Baptist Church financially. I believe that God has established the tithe as a basis of giving but that every Believer should also give other offerings sacrificially and cheerfully to the support of his or her Baptist Church for the relief of those in need, and the spread of the Gospel. I believe that Church members are commanded to bring their tithes and offerings into the Storehouse (Common Treasury) of their Baptist Church upon the first day of the week (Sunday). I believe that a Believer relinquishes all rights to direct the use of the tithe or offering once the gift has been made. I believe under grace we give, and do not pay, the tithe - "Abraham GAVE a tenth part of all." "Abraham GAVE the tenth part of the spoils," and this was four hundred years before the Law, and is confirmed in the New Testament, the Lord Jesus Himself said concerning the tithe, "... these ought ye to have done ..." ( Genesis 14:20; Leviticus 27:30; Proverbs 3:9, 10; Malachi 3:10; Matthew 23:23; Luke 11:42; Acts 4:34, 35, 37; 1 Corinthians 16:2; 2 Corinthians 8:7; 2 Corinthians 9:6, 7; Galatians 6:6; Ephesians 4:28; 1 Timothy 5:17, 18; Hebrews 7:2, 4; 1 John 3:17).

You can read in 1 Timothy 5:1-5 where Paul says that every creature God has created is good and nothing should be refused if it is received with thanksgiving, for it is sanctified by the word of God. This he said in response to false teachers who teach certain O.T. dietary restrictions.
1 Corinthians 4:5 speaks volume to us since saints understand the mysteries revealed to the faithful and Romans 1:6 & Romans 8:28. For saints know Isaiah 5:20. We are where we are today. God is so great to allow us to do things in life in our own free will where in the end The Glory belongs to God. God allowed me to have worked with great scientists in America with great heart. I do not need to understand and question everything at the spare of the moment. I just know the paths God lead me in was not to question authorities in the land. God has the heavenly plans and those are what I am and every saint must be very excited about. When you walk in the Spirit of God, you are like in a trance. Next thing you know someone tells you on earth job well done. Not to boast but again and again to Glorify God because He helped you to do job well done. I can control only me and hopefully have a strong influence with my family and friends and anybody that touches my life to follow God as I walk the walk and talk the talk. Even 1 Timothy 5:4 saints take it to heart. All is good with God James 1:17 and all are Your's 1 Corinthians 3:21-23. I know It is easy said and done here on earth. We all have afflictions and to some unbearable 2 Corinthians 6:4. I thank God for the blood of Jesus Christ for that power is in everyone who put his trust, faith and believe in that He will never leaves you. Psalms 91 memorize!

Earth was created for man; for humans. Lucifer/Satan is not human. They are created by God, angels. God evicted Satan with his now evil angels to earth to roam. They are not human and have no bodies. They can borrow bodies of evil humans or creatures. I don't believe Satan had knowledge of what God was doing. He only knew Genesis 3:15.
When Jesus died on the Cross and shed his
Blood for Whosoever in John 3:16, the plan of God was now "in force". Genesis 3:15 was fulfilled.
Satan lost what he stole from Adam: authority. Wicked humans can give their authority to the Lord Jesus, or Satan. They must choose just one. We can only be born again through the shed blood of Jesus. He is the door and the narrow gate by which we are passed from spiritual death, into eternal life; and into heaven at death.
Satan is the one who hurts people. He is a Liar, a thief and a hunter of souls. He blinds people to their spiritual need of forgiveness through Jesus Christ.
Sometimes we get side-tracked by blaming God for difficulties in our lives. Death of people we loved, and many reasons. Satan causes misery and suffering. Jesus offers salvation from that. If our prayer life is active and strong in scripture, we can be healed even now, and delivered from satanic attacks (read book of Job).
Problem is if we don't study the Bible, we do not know what is available to us. Job was delivered from all the hurt Satan caused (loss of children, his wife's trust, property, livelihood; health etc). He gets it all back plus more, at the end of the story.
This is not a long dead story. It is scripture WE STAND ON when Praying to God concerning our needs. Concerning return of things eaten up by cankerworm and locust (curses and attacks from Satan).
Ephesians 6 clearly says Satan and evil spirits are INVISIBLE. We can spot them in our lives by their FRUITS.

Comment: When God married Adam and Eve ( Genesis 1:24-25) they became one flesh.
Modern people: when we "break off one relationship and start another". There are "soul ties" left hanging. It's best to be betrothed for a year. This happened in the FIRST book of the Bible. (not 1 Corinthians 13). If a couple cannot keep the friendship alive, there is less chance of a lifelong marriage with one partner. Phillipians 2, for more reading.

There is a difference between trying to follow God's way/commandments and fail and subsequently repent and be forgiven AND do sin deliberately, especially live in a sinful situation with no intention to repent at all. Paul advices christians not to even have anything to do with such persons. 1 Corinthians 5:11-12
"But now I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolater, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such an one no not to eat ...But them that are without God judgeth. Therefore PUT AWAY from among yourselves that wicked person."
They should either warn their pastor that that situation can not be tolerated any more or change pastor or even leave that church.
