Hello, I personally don't think it's necessarily a sin, but think panic is a type of fear and fear is the opposite of love and trust in God. So, you could say it shows a lack of love and lack of trust in God, perhaps that of a Christian who is currently immature in their walk with Christ. 1 John 4:18. The Bible has lots of wisdom on fear, peace, trust, hope and someone looking to mature in peace and love should be reading those as practice to become spiritually strong.

Do Christian sin when they panic? If so,why?

I read half of Lamentations night before last. God has bent over backwards to bless them. The apple of his eye. Known the world over as his peculiar people. The envy of the nations. It hurts me that they hurt Him. Resist Him. It gladdens me that many returning Jews that have been saved are evangelizing. Hard to do when you are sheltering from a viral pestilence. May be this disease is from the I WILL that is loose in the world? You can't read Lamentations and not miss the severity of emotion. The last grains of sand in an hour glass fall real fast. Makes me wonder? Let us all pray for a revival. Now when we are confined. I hope you will. Some of Stan Telchin's testimony is on YouTube.

Rome adopted the queen of heaven from the jews mentioned in Jeremiah 7:18
  • Mickey - In Reply on Acts 12:4 - 4 years ago
Easter is a pagan name probably from Rome for a demonic deity named ISHTAR. Ishtar is another name for Queen of Heaven. Ishtar and Queen of Heaven can be found in your Bible concordance.
Has nothing to do with bunnies or eggs.

GOD BLESS

The name of the day, that we celebrate the Resurrection of Christ, is of no concern to True Believers. Nor is what some men have named this particular day, or the origins of the name. What is important is the celebration of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, rising from the dead on the third day. Literally conquering sin and death for all mankind. Don't get snared in Satan's distractions.

Easter is a pagan day, Ishtar, which has crept into the Christian church. concerning the scripture in ch 12 here, the confusion is between the Passover and the days of Unleavened Bread, we need to note that passover was before the days of unleavened bread, and Herod was waiting to bring Peter out after the days of unleavened bread or pascha-which may have been easter.
  • D. Paul Walker on Acts 12 - 5 years ago
The events in the Bible occur on Jewish high and feast days. We have the Passover for his Crucifixion, he rose on the feast of Firstfruits which was the first day of the week after passover. He did not rise on Easter. Easter has nothing to do with Christianity; it is a pagan holy day for the spring solstice which just happens to be at the same time of year as Passover and the feast of Firstfruits.

    Hi there,
I would like to ask this question to get more clarifications.
My question is as follow; Why in the KJV 1611 especially in Acts: 12:4 this Version changed the word "PASSOVER to EASTER?"

Matt 9 9 After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. 10 Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. 11 Give us this day our daily bread. 12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. 13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

Hello Ray; How many amazing and powerful answers to prayer have we seen! Things that others would easily say, Oh No Way! But yes, I think we just don't get it much we mean to the Lord, and how much then our prayers ARE HEARD! We are the salt of the earth, that only [little] thing that keeps the whole earth from completely rotting and stinking and becoming worthless corruption. Read Psalm 149:6-9

Acts 12:5 Peter therefore was kept in prison: but prayer was made without ceasing of the church unto God for him. Prayer is so important, by praying, we can move mountains.

To Albert on easter - first off, since you don't go along with easter - why capitalize and make it - IMPORTANT .....? 2nd off - I'm with you on this. 3rd off - our church calls it Resurrection Sunday, nor do we have egg hunts.

Herod died a horrible death for accepting glory that should have gone to God.
  • ALBERT on Acts 12 - 8 years ago
Easter was not the time of celebration as how some other think it is for the LORD celebration. But it is a pagan day of worship but not for the LORD..
  • Bud on Acts 12 - 8 years ago
I am in disagreement with Richard, it is true that the James killed by Herold was the brother on John the son of Zebedee, but the other James was not the brother of Jesus ( Mark 3: 18) he was son of Alphaeus. Jesus brother James did not become a follower until after Jesus death. ( Acts 1: 14)
  • Jo on Acts 12 - 8 years ago
I disagree with Mary on the celebration of Easter. I celebrate Easter as the glorious day of our Lord Jesus Christ's Resurrection. Some people may celebrate for other reasons, but that is their problem.
