The GOSPEL 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 All we have to do is believe with all our hearts.
  • Peter A. Okebukola on Acts 13 - 7 years ago
God is moving. The spread of the Gospel is off to a fine start. The message here is for us to be part of the effort to spread the gospel in our own little corners. There may be adversities and opposition but like Paul, Barnabas and other disciples, we must be prepared to soldier on for Christ.

Acts 13:35 Wherefore he saith also in another psalm, Thou shalt not suffer thine Holy One to see corruption. When Jesus was in the belly of the earth, he saw no corruption, but David did see corruption. Jesus was Holy and Perfect.

  • Bruce on Acts 13 - 7 years ago
The Jews raised up an army of voices of men and women to run Paul and Barnabas out of Town. Just like today. The lost pushed The Light out of Public Schools, education systems,The Government. And Worse of all: The Churches. The Darkness is taken over The World like a Flood. Most say they are saved! then say get out-of-the-way I can't see the TV! the Internet is down. Some here need The Blood.
  • Irene123 on Acts 13 - 7 years ago
    V. 50 - But the Jews stirred up the devout and honorable women ..... "? I wonder if anyone knows what THAT was all about. What? the men couldn't handle it themselves - or what ... ?
  • Lavonne on Job 1 - 7 years ago
Mark Scripture does not give the location as to where Satan was. I do not believe the saved
are already in Heaven. Eccl 9:5 The dead know nothing. Acts 2:34 David is not ascended into the Heavens, and David was the man after God's own heart. Acts 13:22. No man has ascended to Heaven Jn 3:13. I do believe we are sons of God as you have stated. Job 1, I do
know about these sons of God.

To Paul on witnessing - you put me to shame; thank-you; I know when God's talking to me and He just did - thru you.
  • Paul on Acts 13 - 8 years ago
How Many of us have witnessed for Christ under the possibility of our lives been taken in the act? I don't think very many- certainly not me. But if there was a possibility of that happening, like there was for Paul, honestly, how many of us would speak? And since there currently isn't, why arent we multiplying our efforts?

    Dear Insight777,
The Lord said David was a man after His own heart; and He wants all of His sons and daughters to be after His own heart, in truth. That we were made in His own image and likeness has first to do with our character being like our Father in heaven. This is what Jesus came into the world to restore to men. David was anointed king of Israel for what kind of man God saw him to be.
  • Dewey J on Acts 13 - 8 years ago
Bobbie, those that die believing in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior like David spirits goes straight to heaven but the body decay in the grave until the rapture or second coming of Jesus Christ. But Jesus Christ resurrected with his once mortal body glorified then ascended to heaven 40 days later as witnessed by the gospel of John and others. Praise God in the highest. Amen!
  • Cheryl on Acts 13 - 8 years ago
Mike, Jesus was resurrected with an immortal fleshly body, which he proved to the disciples by eating a piece of broiled fish. Thomas put his finger into Jesus' wounds and recognised that this was in fact, Jesus. The spiritual person of the Godhead is the Holy Spirit; the Comforter whom Jesus sent to teach, lead and guide us, his future disciples. Blessed Holy Trinity.
  • Norm on Revelation 1 - 8 years ago
There is only one true Word, and that cometh of God my Father in heaven. Any other word is a deceiver and an antichrist. Psalms 56:5 Every day they wrest my words: all their thoughts are against me for evil. Psalms 64:3 Who whet their tongue like a sword, and bend their bows to shoot their arrows, even bitter words: Ecclesiastes 10:14 A fool also is full of words: a man cannot tell what shall be and what shall be after him, who can tell him? Acts 13:10 And said, O full of all subtilty and all mischief, thou child of the devil, thou enemy of all righteousness, wilt thou not cease to pervert the right ways of the Lord?
  • Mike on Acts 13 - 8 years ago
Verse 34 shows that Jesus was resurrected with a spirit body that was imperishable.
  • Norm on Matthew 1 - 8 years ago
JESUS CHRIST is God the Creator, the Father, the Son and our Saviour the Redeemer. Isaiah 43:11 I, even I, am the LORD and beside me there is no saviour. Luke 1:47 And my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Saviour. Acts 13:23 Of this man's seed hath God according to his promise raised unto Israel a Saviour, Jesus: Philippians 3:20 For our conversation is in heaven from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ: 1 Timothy 2:3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour Colossians 1:16 For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:

Cont...after Acts 9 Saul began preaching the truth and Saul was called Paul in Acts 13:9 filled with the Holy Ghost, he preached thru all the books of Acts u will find him making the same statement as Peter made in Acts 2:38 over in Acts 19:1-6 being baptized in Jesus Name. Blessing

In life no creating is greater the creator and never ever allow yourself to be used as a vessel to be honoured or populate the kingdom of the Satan, many people have become obstacles in the kingdom of God bar-jesus thought he could stop the creator from his work, but he made him to know that he is still his creation, so let noman on this earth contend with his maker amen
  • Bob corrigan on Mark 6:11 - 9 years ago
When the Jews traveled back to Israel from lands they considered pagan. they would shake off the dust of the pagan lands as it was considered unholy and rejected by God. So, when Jesus commanded to shake the dust off the feet when a village or city rejected the disciples, it was a statement that God would reject and condemn that village or city. In Acts 13:49-51, we see Paul and Barnabas, "shaking the dust off their feet" toward the Jews stirring up trouble.
  • Topel Sweeney on Psalms 127 - 9 years ago
As imperfect as David was he still had long stretches of great confidence by being as God described him Acts 13:22 "...a man after mine own heart," He knew that he was doing right and that his life was pleasing before his creator. What an example for us all to strive for day by day!
  • Insight 777 on Acts 13 - 9 years ago
Verse 22, I believe the heart mentioned here is symbolically Jesus. Jesus said I am before David, Jesus existed before David yet David is listed as his father in linage as the Messiah. The man fulfilling God 's will is Jesus, the heart of God. David was after Gods heart, Jesus, not before Jesus. It is Jesus not David that fulfills all of Gods will.

Explain why some use Cross and some use tree? Did not God say my word change not? His name will always be God because He is God! He had to come in the form of a Man whom He called Jesus and we know that Jesus and God are the same. However, a cross is not the same as a tree, would you please explain why it has been changed by your interpretation?
  • Meagan Blair on Acts 13 - 10 years ago
I believe it is good for people to read this for it shows them that no matter where they are in there life, it is never to late to turn around and God can do anything!
  • John Ritter on Acts 13 - 10 years ago
Joseph Ryder 's Acts Chapter 13 comment on 10 20 2013, 10 47am... Paul is not wrong. God hand picked him to save the gentiles. when the Jews rejected Jesus the Christ. God turned to the gentiles. We had no place with God. The laws and the promise was for the Jew 's only. Thanks to the Jews we can be saved.
