That word should have been delivered. No one is saved until the end. Just like The most high delivered them from pharaoh.

The jailer did not hesitate to be saved. "...Behold now is the accepted time: behold now is the day of salvation". 2Cor. 6:2

Matthew 16:16 where the girl was possessed with a spirit of divination. I have a neighbor who I believe is possessed. She follows me around everywhere I go when she sees me and just swears and curses and smoke cigarettes, knowing that this annoys me. The Lord lead me to this scripture concerning her. She have been doing this for many days.

Hello, this is a very predictable disagreement and will never change my mind, because the Bible doesn't change. The book of James is not just for Jews- it applies to everyone. Those who ignore God's word are subject to God's judgment. If someone wants an excuse to sin they do so at their own risk. Satan wants you to sin and God doesn't. If trying to do what's right didn't matter then Jesus wouldn't have said to be perfect or to do not conform to this world, etc. It's black and white in the Bible and that will never change.

The book of James is directed for Jews. How about 2 Timothy 2:13 If we believe not, yet he abideth faithful: he cannot deny himself." And the incest case from 1 Corinthians 5:1-5 who is a obvious case of not walking in grace and still saved? All pauline epistles show only faith for salvation.
  • Adam - In Reply on Acts 16 - 5 years ago
Part of walking in grace is loving others, avoiding sin Romans 12:2 not falsely assuming you have a license to sin. Satan wants people to think they don't have to live as a Christian, don't have to try. Unfortunately Christians can buy into the lie, even denounce Jesus, based on a false assumption that they're already saved and can do whatever they want. Satan wants people to ignore James 2:14-26.

Isn't it for the Jews?Who must have faith works for salvation? We christians must have only faith for salvation of our soul. All Paul epistles to the church except the one for Hebrews which is for the jews reflect that. For example, in 1 Corinthians 5:1-5 it is talked about a brother who committed a very great sin which is incest but the flesh was destructed by Satan and his soul was still saved.

Grace vs works is a very common debate. James 2:14-26 and others show that works are important, likely beyond just a reward in heaven. It calls your faith 'dead' without works. There are no scriptures saying that people with no faith or dead faith enter heaven. Most people will go to hell wide is the gate . Christians who denounce Christ or commit blasphemy surely should be concerned.

You are saved by grace alone not by works. The works you do after salvation you do for your own good and for a reward in heaven, not for your salvation of soul. Now you don't keep the commandments in order to get to Him in Heaven, you keep them because now you know that they are the word of God and they are for your own good. If you don't keep them He will punish you but not send you to hell.

BELIEVE ON THE LORD JESUS CHRIST AND THOU SHALT BE SAVED acts 16:31. lf salvation is a gift Ephesians 2: 8,9 ?Why would you believe a moral religious person above Holy Scripture? God Almighty crucified His only begotten Son for you and me. Why would He require 600 commandments for you to kept in order for to get to Him in Heaven? Repent of what you are a sinner hoping to make Heaven by works

The whosoever are the Elect, they are the only ones who appear in the Lamb's book of life, from eternity past. If Christ died for all, Judas would be saved, but Scripture says Judas was doomed. Only Christ knew that, because Judas was made a vessel of dishonour when formed by the Potter as stated about Esau whom God hated. Many who travel the broad road think they are saved. But not so. <><

Let me see if I can take a different approach....in verse 18, did Paul abused his authority? He was grieved mad about this woman following them. He cast the demon out because he was grieved, not because he wanted to bring God glory. God then put them in jail. Paul later asks verse 25 for forgiveness ...prayed and sang..praised God. God forgave and used their mistake to bring Glory!

Edna: It is a Feeling. Those who're Saved have Great Joy in Their Heart:if They are Studying, telling Others The Way of Salvation, having Fellowship. That's why Paul and Others were Singing in Prison. Acts 16:25. The Lord keeps The Joy in Our Heart: Jude 24. Deep Down In Our Heart. One who is NOT Saved will NOT have that Joy. Pastors say if you feel lost,no joy don't worry, that's Satan./That's False

God was the protector and guide of Paul and Silas. He saw them through the thick and thin of their missionary journeys. The Holy Spirit was in hand to tell them where to go and not to go. Wherever they went, coverts were won. Even when jailed, God came to the rescue. It is the same God today and we must look up to him for daily guidance. In turn, we should spread the gospel to lost souls.

Romans 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. We must follow his comments for to grow in Grace not for Salvation. We are seal by the Holy Spirit of God in Salvation, we cannot loose it. Praise God

V24 proves physical cutting means nothing. Jesus does not cut flesh and does not teach it.
Paul however continues to circumcise to establish the adherence to Jewish law as the example of the Jewish woman that had a son with a Greek man. Paul does not follow the example of behavior that Jesus established. Paul is a Jew first, Christian second. Acts 16:3

Amen. Obey and receive. If you believe on Him you will follow His commandments. You cannot just believe and be saved. The Apostles They who said this vers Knew that those who truly believe on Jesus's name will repent and follow the righteous way to The Father which Jesus taught. Read The book of Matthew chapter 5 for the information in what Jesus said and taught. I love you all. May The Good Lord bless you this day and forever as your walk in Him continues. Amen.-Tahj
