    Luke 12:47

And that servant, which knew his lord's will, and prepared not himself, neither did according to his will, shall be beaten with many stripes.

All sins are not the same and do not merit the same punishment. Willful sins are more serious than sins of ignorance, as demonstrated in Luke 12:47. God does not judge sins of ignorance as seriously as willful sins, as shown in Acts 17:30.

    Acts 17:30

And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent:

God made all nations of one blood and divided the nations as He willed for His reasons. There is no sin or shame in belonging to one nation over another or one color over another. All men have the same color blood and are all descendants of the same two human parents dating back to Noah and his wife.

    Acts 17:26

    And hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation;

Circular arguments on this topic remind me of an Abbott and Costello "who's on first" skit. In case anyone isn't aware, here are some scriptures describing one God with three components: father, son, and holy spirit. We likely will never 100% comprehend God nor should we expect to, but the fact is the Bible describes God as a triune Godhead, uses plural terms, says the three are "one", and I will trust God's Word over man's word. Christians will keep sharing the truth of the scriptures everytime someone tries to challenge God's word.

I do not want to offend you, but the word "Trinity". It is a word that the Catholic Church uses. The word used in the Bible approved by most all Churches is Godhead.

The word Triune simply means three.

When Chris returns, if you see him in here ask him about the Council of Churches; history,

I think you'll see what I mean if you look up those scriptures.

The word Trinity came through the Catholic religion. Triune means three.

God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit are called THE GODHEAD in scripture; in the approved KING JAMES BIBLE.

There are many, many scriptures showing the Godhead working together; and speaking to each other.

Paul clears it up in ROMANS 1:

    18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who HOLD THE TRUTH in unrighteousness;

19 Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath SHOWED IT unto them.

20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and GODHEAD; so that they are without excuse

21 Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.

22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,

The Bible does not mention smoking * or other means of using tobacco. However, it contains principles showing that God does not approve of unhealthy and unclean habits and thus views smoking as a sin.

Respect for life. "God . . . gives to all people life and breath." ( Acts 17:24, 25) Since life is a gift from God, we should not do anything that would shorten our life, such as smoking. Smoking is one of the main causes of preventable death worldwide.

Love of neighbor. "You must love your neighbor as yourself." ( Matthew 22:39) Smoking around others does not show love. Those who are routinely subjected to secondhand smoke are at higher risk of some of the same diseases that smokers often suffer from.

    Hey Vanessa,

The word Godhead is in the KJV three times.

Acts 17:29 Forasmuch then as we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Godhead is like unto gold, or silver, or stone, graven by art and man's. Godhead, os theios, meaning godlike, divine, divinity.

We see this same word in 2 Peter 1:3-4 translated divine, referring to an attribute of God, not to God Himself.

Romans 1:20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse: Godhead, , theiots meaning divinity, divine nature, theiotes has same meaning as theios.

Colossians 2:8-9 Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ. For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead. bodily. theotes meaning deity.

My understanding, and I'm sure I am in the minority here; it refers to God's and Jesus's divine characteristics and nature. The word Godhead is used in conversation and discussion, referring to the trinity creed that I do not agree with. The divinity of Jesus the only begotten Son of God cannot be questioned. He is the beginning of creation and through Him all that is, Colossians 1:15-1 but there is many scriptures that does not support this creed.

I could post more but I hope you can use this in your study for your own understanding, not mine. Pray and let the Holy Spirit guide you.

Ray, man is a BODY made from dust.

God is LIFE, God is SPIRIT, therefore Spirit is life.

    Job 34:14 If he (SPIRIT) set his (Spirit's) heart upon man, if he (Spirit) gather unto himself his (God's) spirit and his (God's) breath;

Job 34:15 ALL FLESH shall perish together, and man shall turn again into dust.

Acts 17:24 God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that the Lord is God of heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands,

    Acts 17:25 Neither is worshipped with men's hands, as though he needed anything, seeing he GIVETH TO ALL life, and breath, and ALL THINGS;

Acts 17:26 And hath made of one blood all nations to dwell on the face of the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation.

Ephesians 4:4 There is ONE BODY (the vessel that holds life) and one Spirit (the life in the vessel)....

Ephesians 4:6 One God and Father OF ALL, who is above ALL, and through ALL, and IN YOU ALL.

Hebrews 12:23 ... and to the spirits of just men MADE PERFECT,

Philippians 2:13 For it is GOD (LIFE, TRUTH) that worketh IN YOU both TO WILL and TO DO his good pleasure.

We are just the vessel that holds God (Life, Truth). Life and Truth cannot die, so when this body of flesh dies Christ gives us HIS BODY. We are joined in union with Christ.

Psalms 22:27 All the ends of the world SHALL REMEMBER and TURN unto the Lord: and all the kindreds of the nations shall worship thee.

Acts 17:26 And hath made of ONE BLOOD all nations to DWELL on all the FACE OF THE EARTH, and hath DETERMINED the times before APPOINTED, and the BOUNDS of their habitation.

    Ndubuaku Iluoma,

Omega is the last letter in Greek, the big O indicates the end, the last, ultimate limit, finish, conclusion, Omega is the finish of an event, without needing to be explained. We see Alpha and Omega, the first and the last, and the beginning and the end/ing in Revelation. In Isaiah 45:9-10 it is reversed, "the end from the beginning"

In Isaiah 46 they were hauling all that gold and silver and would make idols and pray to them and God was telling them He is the only true God, from the beginning until the things that are not done is done, Revelation 10:7. His counsel, His will, and His pleasure will stand. In the beginning, the bounds of habitation have been determined for all the nations on earth, Acts 17:26.

Jesus, Alpha and Omega, the beginning of the creation, Revelation 3:14 and Jesus will be the end when Jesus delivers up the kingdom to God and the last enemy, death is destroyed, 1 Corinthians 15:24-28.

    God bless,

Why do some Christians say, "if God be willing", or "if it be God's will"? Isn't that unbelief or even doubt, and does not the Word of God say that my people perish for lack of not knowing the truth, or having knownlege of the truth.

MATT 5:17 Whoever therefore BREAKS ONE of the least of these Commandments and teachers men so shall be called Least in the Kingdom of Heaven.??? Why because you all follow a Man and his understanding of the our Fathers Book the Bible. This is the Lack of Truth, The world has broken the 4th Commandment to keep the Sabbath Holy a day of rest from all labour. Do you keep this day Holy Child. For this day is the SEAL of GOD. Part 2

Here I will explain my speculation based on my study on Who God Is (for the past 4 months), although I have studied Him in depth before.

In my study I have learned that God is eternally self-sufficient and self-satisfied within Himself. Therefore, He is in need of nothing outside that He Himself cannot supply within the Godhead. He draws nothing he needs from outside of Himself. Paul speaks to this in Acts 17:23-25 So, I learned that God does not need us to be happy or for survival. to receive love, or to be complete.

I also learned that God created everything in accordance to His own volition, in order to display His glory, and because it pleased Him to do so. ( Rev. 4:11 for example). It is part of God's nature to manifest the glory of His Being. Before creation, many aspects of His essential Being were manifested within the relationships among the persons of the Trinity. However, there was no need for God to manifest the glory of His mercy, grace, compassion, wrath, justice, nor judgment before creation because there was no sin within the Godhead, no degradation in need of reclamation, no broken fellowship to be reconciled, no death to be resurrected.

Yet, God possessed these qualities mentioned and so, being Who He is created to give expression to these qualities.

He created all things to display His power, glory, and wisdom as a creative Being, but mostly, He created to express mercy, grace, compassion, wrath, justice, and judgment through the plan of the ages which is all about benevolent redemption and wrathful judgment. To us, it may seem somewhat cold to think of God this way and especially about His reasons for creating

rational beings. But we, as mere creatures cannot fathom the depths of God's love nor wisdom.

God is not self-absorbed, conceited, nor narcissistic. He expresses Himself through His holy and faultess will to the benefit of the objects of His generous benevolence. I will continue in part 3.

The falling away has began the Antichrist is a movement that represents them selves as a House of God.

ACTS 17:24 God who made the world and everything in it since He is Lord of heaven and Earth Does Not dwell in Temples made with Hands.

Nor is He worshiped with Men's hands as though he needed anything since he gives to all life, breath and all things.

These churches are your Hillsong etc. Born again Christian churches where one is told that Gods laws are No longer biding. That Jesus is the Sabbath and that you no longer need to keep the 4th Commandment for Jesus came to fulfil the laws.

    This is the falling away......

For it clear in MATT 5:17

Whoever therefore breaks one of the least of these commandments and teaches men so, shall be called least in the Kingdom of Heaven.

Many Christians are so heaverly indoctrinated by a mans understanding of scripture and when they come across someone trying to tell them something new that their church did not teach they shut themselves off to the information little do they know that God has sent you this person to correct your knowledge, and the child that has itchy ears starts to listen to this information and goes to seek the truth.....this is why the Apostle Paul called it Itchy ears, for the Holy Spirit guides you to listen to whats been said for you to go and seek the Truth. Follow No Man Christ said. Follow Me. No man should teach you scripture A Bible should be read when you are alone with God and allow the Holy Spirit to guide you....Meditate on One scripture at a time let it sit in your head for a couple of days and when God sees you trying so hard to work it out he sends the Holy Spirit to help you.

    God bless you Kim.

    SONS OF GOD.

This is a term used as a direct creation of God.

There is only 3 in scripture that was created that bares this title

    1) Angels.

    Genesis 6:2.

    Job 1:6.

    2) Adam.

    Luke 3:38.

We're not a "direct" creation. We're sons of Adam until Born again.

    3) Those in Christ.

    John 1:12.

We are a NEW creation in Christ.

That's why it's called a new birth. "Born again" properly translated, "Born from above."

With Adam being the first Man/Adam created, And then sinned, sin passed on to ALL Men, "Only if ALL Men came after Adam. The ONLY way redemption is available to ALL.

Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned: Romans 5:12.

To redeem, is to buy back!

When the Law came everyone in Adam spiritually died.

I believe physical death came by Adams transgression, spiritual death came by the giving of the law.

But not as the offence, so also is the free gift. For if through the offence of one many be dead, much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, which is by one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many. Romans 5:15.

And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit.

Howbeit that was not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural; and afterward that which is spiritual.

The first man is of the earth, earthy: the second man is the Lord from heaven.

As is the earthy, such are they also that are earthy: and as is the heavenly, such are they also that are heavenly.

And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly. 1 Corinthians 15:45-49.

If there were people created before Adam how can they be bought back when Adam transgression has no effect on them being they were never "In" Adam.

    Note: Acts 17:26.

    Genesis 5:1-2. connects Genesis 1:26-28.

and Genesis 2:7. and also cover the use of the name Adam used for both Adam and Eve.

    Brother Ronald.

    Part 5 of 5.

In Genesis 2:22, Adam finally meets the one who corresponds to him, that the LORD God built to be a helper for him. After meeting the woman, Adam says, "This at last is bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; she [this one] shall be called woman, because she [this one] was taken out of man" ( Genesis 2:23). In Hebrew the three occurrences of the demonstrative pronoun this (zt) in verse 23 show Adam's exclamation of the one who rightly corresponds to him. The fact that the woman (i) came from the man () shows that they are made of the same stuff. Adam goes on to name his wife "Eve" because she is to become the mother of all the living ( Genesis 3:20).

Most importantly, in Matthew 19:4-5 Jesus quotes from Genesis 1 and 2 as referring to the same people to make a theological point on marriage. By combining Genesis 1:27 and 2:24 in this way, he in no way regarded them as separate, contradictory accounts of creation. Jesus understood the "male and female" of Genesis 1:27 as "the man" (Adam) and "the woman" (Eve) of Genesis 2:24. Genesis 2 is the beginning of the history of mankind on day six of creation week.

There is no hint whatsoever in Genesis 2 of a group of pre-existing people from whom God elects the first couple, Adam and Eve. Rather it talks about the supernatural formation of the first man (Adam) and the supernatural "building" of the first woman (Eve). The Bible makes it clear: all mankind came from the first man that God created (cf. Acts 17:26).

    Hey S Spencer,

This is not to debate; I enjoy reading your posts and benefit from them, and you make this site better. Acts 17:26 one blood, I agree all nations including me and you are from one blood and that is from Adam. I am not one that believes in the gap theory I take the six days of creation as written to be the only time this world and universe were created.

I understand the tradition of Adam and Eve being the first man and woman goes back forever but to put Adam and Eve in day six we have to look over scripture that does not support them to be the "male and female created he them". It does say all nations are of one blood, but that blood was saved in the ark with Noah, Shem, Ham, and Japheth of the blood of Adam and Seth the blood line to Jesus.

My understanding is the first man, the first Adam was the first part of the plan of salvation and to undo the works of the devil, with the last part with the second man and the last Adam, Jesus Christ 1 Corinthians 15:45-47. If Adam and Eve were not the man and woman in day six nothing changes other than a tradition. All nations are of the blood of Adam and the sin that comes with it.

God bless and have a great day.

    Hi BMW.

    Part 7 of 7.

    (3) Gentiles were not required, but had the privilege of, joining the Hebrew family via the proselytization process (cf. Acts 2:10; 13:16). Additionally, there were many instructions in Moses' law designed to benefit the "strangers" (Gentiles) who came among Israelite people ( Leviticus 19:33ff).

    (4) The Lord sent Jonah to the Gentiles of Nineveh ( Jonah 3:1). Archer said that the theme of the book of Jonah "is that God's mercy and compassion extend even to the heathen nations on condition of their repentance" (1964, 295). Jonah is sometimes called "the first apostle to the Gentiles."

    (5) Four Gentile women were woven into the genealogical fabric of the Messiah-Tamar, Rahab, Ruth, and Bathsheba-in both legal and biological senses ( Matthew 1:5-6; Luke 3:31-32).

    (6) In addition, the prophets clearly revealed Jehovah's redemptive concern for the Gentiles, who were to be grafted into the New Testament church on an equal basis with the Jews ( Genesis 17:4; 22:18; Psalms 2:8; Isaiah 42:1, 6; 49:6; cf. Romans 11:1ff; Galatians 3:28; Ephesians 2:11ff).

    Conclusion

There always has been a way for honest people to be right with their Creator-if they seek after him and choose to please him ( Acts 17:27ff). God so loved the entire world and gave his Son as a potential redeeming sacrifice for all who avail themselves of his gift ( John 3:16). He is the loving benefactor to everyone who submits to his will in faithful obedience ( 1 Timothy 2:4; Hebrews 5:8-9; cf. 2 Peter 3:9).

    Article by Wayne Jackson.

I share this information for one to go over. I haven't had the time to do no more than glance over the beginning being I'm out town on business again.

Hopefully some others can share on this great question you asked.

    God bless.

I came across this link on the Web site about "race mixing": Link. The Bible does not forbid different ethnic groups to marry. God forbade and forbids the saved to marry the unsaved. Deuteronomy Chapter 7:3-4: "4 For they will turn away thy son from following me, that they may serve other gods: so will the anger of the LORD be kindled against you, and destroy thee suddenly."

Other verses included on the page don't even pertain to ethnic groups. They pertain to sexual immorality, heterosexual marriage, an illegitimate person, The Creation, saved people's unity in God, and a saved person's identity in Jesus Christ. You also include Acts 17:26 ("one blood"), which also has nothing to do with so-called separation of so-called races.

Your list twists scriptures to promote the lies told by Whites who that helped to justify chattel slavery, lynching of Black Americans, legalized segregation and prejudice, racism, and ethnic discrimination of Black people and persons of other ethnic groups. Also see From Indentured Servitude to Racial Slavery, PBS, and Laws that banned mixed marriages (May 2010), Ferris State University; You Tube video, One Race - Ken Ham Video Teaching January 19, 2022 - Ken Ham also explains the connection between evolution and racism and the curse of Canaan (not Ham); and Answers in Genesis book, One Race One Blood. You can also read the chapters online free.

It is a great disappointment to see that once again, people are using the Bible to justify the sins of pride and hatred. Which ethnic group or groups are superior to all other ethnic groups? According to Romans 3:23 and Romans 6:23 no ethnic group is superior. This list is against God's holy word and comes from the flesh and Satan. We need to read the Word of God in context and not use God's Word to justify the sins of pride, variance, and hatred ( Galatians 5:19-20 and Proverbs 16:5). 1 John 2:16; 1 Corinthians 7:39.

The Scriptures about the Godhead. Sometimes called "Let Us..." in some passages. These scriptures are evidence of all 3 persons of the Godhead speaking to each other.

    Genesis 1:26, 3:22, 11:7

    Isaiah 6:8

    Romans 1:20

    Colossians 2:9

    Acts 17:27-30

    1 John 5:7

    John 10:30

"For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and GODHEAD so that they are without excuse:"

    Genesis 1:1

    The Father purposes

The Word (Jesus) speaks. ( John 1:1)

The Spirit (Holy Spirit) executes the spoken word. Action.

All working together. Jesus came to show us the Father, as Emmanuel.

    Matthew 1:23

Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, GOD WITH US. [Jesus]

1 Corinthians 12:1-31 explains all the gifts, titled, administrations that God gives to the Church that Jesus has planted on earth Now.

Those that He calls, he anoints for the work. Luke 4:18. The Bible says the gifts and callings are without revocation. If we try to operate without the Holy Spirits anointing; we will not bear good fruit. Can even become apostate.

It's not something to treat carelessly. The Head of the Church is Jesus Christ. All parts of the Body are connected to Jesus.

God lives outside of time and inside of time.

Romans 1 says that if we dispute the evidence of the reality of God; we are without excuse.

I'm not debating this. It's for whomsoever Will believe God is. Can the clay say to the Potter, " what are you doing?!!

A good REFERENCE Study Bible (KJV)with a "center column reference cross scriptures" is very God for cross reading other relevant passages. It's the best.

I looked at this list of passages that you say prove the trinity.

There is no proof of the trinity in these passages.

Some of the verses have nothing to do with our Lord.

The most interesting one is acts 17:30

If you had kept reading (verse 31) It is talking about a man.

    The Lord Jesus Christ.

Act 5:30 The God of our fathers raised up Jesus, whom ye slew and hanged on a tree.

Act 5:31 Him hath God exalted with his right hand to be a Prince and a Saviour, for to give repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins.

Jesus was exalted by God. If he was exalted it must mean he was lower in position.

Act 2:22 Ye men of Israel, hear these words; Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved of God among you by miracles and wonders and signs, which God did by him in the midst of you, as ye yourselves also know:

Again a man approved of God.

God did these miracle through Jesus. Jesus is described as a man.

Romans 1 is the one chapter that mentions GODHEAD. We cannot separate them. God, Jesus's Father

Jesus the Word that SPOKE creation into existence.

The Holy Spirit who performed it. He is also the Spirit of Christ.

GODHEAD. The scriptures that prove it.

{Comment} Jesus came to bring to each born again believer; the baptism and the in-dwelling of the Holy Spirit.

    [ Genesis 1:2, John 3:6, Acts 2:1-3, John 16: 7-15]

Upon being born again, Jesus gives the Holy Spirit to teach us scripture, comfort us, convict us of sin, enable us to be witnesses. Stay in the New Testament at first.
