Judas did not go to heaven. Believing is not the same as SAVING faith. The devil believes in Jesus too and we know that Jesus 'prepared' the place of torment for 'the devils and his angles'. James 2:19 clarifies. "Thou believest that there is one God thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble." Jesus said it would have been better if Judas was never born, He called Judas the devil.

Where did David "spake before concerning Judas"? Acts 1:16 Men and brethren, this scripture must needs have been fulfilled, which the Holy Ghost by the mouth of David spake before concerning Judas, which was guide to them that took Jesus.

Mr Solis - You can know that the Spirit is upon you or filled with the Spirit: doing what otherwise is difficult e.g. joy unspeakable, able to read the Bible freely, pray, manifesting the fruit of the Spirit these are some of the signs.
Bible: "You believe that there is ONE God ... the devils also.." it does not mean, they believe IN Him. No trouble a second time. Devils, never be saved too proud.

The book of Act is the demonstration of how the church should be but unfortunately it is not like that

Note Jesus said, you shall receive power after that the Holy Ghost has come upon you, the question is how do you know when the Holy Ghost is come upon you? Is it by faith? is it just by believing? I do know the devil believes in God, is he saved now or later in his time? The Bible tells me God does not change, he is the same today and forever. I believe Chapter 2 has the answer. God bless.

@A Disciple-Thank you brother! I see now that we are always witnesses, not just when we are "witnessing". I've been marvelling at how "invisible" I seem to be when I'm out in the world. Finally I realized God is like that also, and yet He Is no less Powerful or Deserving of Respect. His Power and ours Is the Longsuffering power of Divine Invisibility in the face of Human Sin and Blindness to Him !

Verse 6~Jesus' disciples were in expectation of the Kingdom. That was good that they were keeping on the watch, but the Kingdom was not coming immediately as they supposed that it would.

Thank you God and Jesus for never ending love amidst a hateful world. Jesus thank you for your Holy Spirit, helping us do even more. Now read the Sermon on the Mount, and all of the Lord's teachings about what it means to be a disciple, and what we must therefore EXPECT to encounter in this present evil world till He returns. Its by our bearing up with good will toward all, and with His divine temperament, under the duress of hateful contradictions, oppositions and humiliations inflicted on us for Jesus' sake, that the Holy Spirit uses to sanctify us and at the same time convict the ungodly. Stephen F jesus has not restored the kingdom yet in acts 1 they asked him will you at this time restore the kingdom to Israel? and he replied IT IS NOT FOR YOU YOUTO KNOW THE TIMES AND AND SEASONS THE FATHER HAS IN HIS OWN POWER BUT YOU WILL RECEIVE POWER ETC. This book is the caveat or stepping stone to the book of Romans that runs through to the book of Jude and stops their and not Revelation. Why ? Jesse, we don't have to wait for that answer Acts 1:25, 26 gives us the biblical account KJV "That he may take part in this ministry and apostleship, from which Judas by transgression fell, that he might go to his own place. v26 And they gave forth their lots; and the lot fell upon Matthias; and he was numbered with the eleven apostles. Hi Ray; If you read carefully the whole portion you refer to; the Lord was telling them to wait for the "Power From On High" the Baptism of the Spirit; which they heard from Him they should receive. For in the same place Jesus also told them that it was not given to them to know the Day, which the Father reserves to His own Authority, for the Restoration of all things; but we need Power till then!

Acts 1:4 And, being assembled together with them, commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father, which, saith he, ye have heard of me. The 11 Apostles were told to stay in Jerusalem for the promise of the Father in heaven. They were waiting for the second coming of Jesus .

While the Disciples were waiting for the Day of Pentecost to fully come, they began to take upon themselves to start their ministry; before the Lord had guided them or told them any such thing to do. MANY in our day also who have not received the full blessing of the Day of Pentecost, have carved out ministries and callings and works, NOT told to them first by the LORD, but out of their own minds.

Jesus the Master has gone to His Father in heaven. His disciples need to be endued with the Holy Spirit as Jesus promised. They needed to have a replacement for Judas Iscariot and Matthias had the lot fall on him. Now the 12 is complete and the Apostles are now ready to proceed with the task ahead- spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
