    John 3:3-7

By nature every person is born in sin through the sinful seed of our natural fathers and conditioned therein ( 1 Peter 1:23). For that reason and in order to become a son of God, which are born of God, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God, a person must be 'Born Again' ( John 1:12,13), 3:3-7; 1 John 3:9; 5:4).

By attending a man-made institution a few hours a week does not mean that a person can make a claim that they are followers of Christ and 'Born Again'. This is falsehood, as in truth they follow after an image of a false god and a false Christ ( Matthew 24:24; Mark 13:22; Gal. 4:8; Rev. 12:9). This is how Satan has transformed Himself into an angel of light ( 2 Cor. 11:13-15).

Only through the process of Repentance God will reveal Himself to you and adopt you as His sons and daughters ( Rom. 8:15,23; 2 Cor.6:18; Gal. 4:5; Eph. 1:5; Hebr. 12:5; 1 John 3:1).

The word 'Repent' means a lot more than what people by nature have been conditioned to believe. It is the key principle of all the teachings of Jesus Christ and the axiom (basis) of the Word of God and a prerequisite and primary requirement for the salvation of mankind. It actually means the changing of spirits - to turn from darkness to light and from the power of Satan unto God ( Acts 26:18).

For a better understanding and the 'spiritual truth' of what it means to repent, and learn how and by whom mankind has been deceived ( Rev. 12:9) and what people must do to be reunited with the true and living God, we invite you to seek Him according to the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive ( Matthew 7:7; John 14:17).

You need not that any man teach you ( Isaiah 54:13; 6:45; 1 John 2:27), It is only by revelation of God that you will come to know Christ ( Daniel 12:4,9; Amos 3:7; Matthew 16:17; Luke 2:26; Romans 16:25; 1 Cor. 2:10; Gal. 1:16; Eph. 3:3,5; Rev. 1:1), and it is only then that you will learn what it means to be 'Born of God' and 'Born Again'.

    Marie,

The Jews are gathered in Jerusalem to celebrate the Feast of Passover. Jesus was crucified on Friday.

There are 12 hours in a day.

John 11:9 "Jesus answered, Are there not twelve hours in the day?"

    If there is midday

Acts 26:13 "At midday, O king, I saw in the way a light from heaven, above the brightness of the sun, shining round about me and them which journeyed with me."

    and midnight,

Exodus 11:4 "And Moses said, Thus saith the LORD, About midnight will I go out into the midst of Egypt."

then we can say that the day starts at 6am, and the night - at 6pm. That shows that 3rd hour falls at 9am and 9th hour (when Jesus died on the cross) falls at 3pm. (New translation translate just like that).

Mark 15:25 "And it was the third hour, and they crucified Him."

Matt. 27:46 "And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is to say, My God, My God, why hast thou forsaken Me?"

Bible mentions unusual darkness between 6th hour (12pm) until 9th hour (3pm). The darkness can't be seen if it's dark already...

Matt. 27:45 "Now from the sixth hour there was darkness over all the land unto the ninth hour."

If there was Wednesday and Thursday, then I believe the Bible would have mentioned days instead of just hours.

Romans were not killing Christians in Paul's day
King James Bible book of John 5:16 - And therefore did the Jews persecute Jesus, and sought to slay him, because he had done these things on the sabbath day.
John 7:1 - After these things Jesus walked in Galilee: for he would not walk in Jewry, because the Jews sought to kill him.
Acts 23:12 - And when it was day, certain of the Jews banded together, and bound themselves under a curse, saying that they would neither eat nor drink till they had killed Paul.
Acts 26:21 - For these causes the Jews caught me in the temple, and went about to kill me.
1 Corinthians 16:22 - If any man love not the Lord Jesus Christ, let him be Anathema (CURSED)

Who was Jesus praying to? Matthew 26:39 And he went a little further, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt. Matthew 20:23 And he saith unto them, Ye shall drink indeed of my cup, and be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with: but to sit on my right hand, and on my left, is not mine to give, but it shall be given to them for whom it is prepared of my Father.

Anne; you say it! Whatever is in our heart, whatever grace, whatever truth, whatever real knowledge and experience in God; will be reflected clearly for all to see: and so the Holy Spirit in us will THEN indeed be able to convict and convince men, by the truth in us. Lip service and salesmanship doesn't fool anyone but those who have no discernment. Stage-playing is a cunning art of the devil.

Paul took this opportunity to give his testimony about his salvation and ministry. This he did with such conviction that King Agrippa confessed that he almost persuaded him to become a Christian. We should take every opportunity to testify of our salvation and the goodness of God.

To Joe: Festus, Felix and Agrippa were being witnessed to by God (Jesus) thru Paul. You can see this in Agrippa, v. 28. All 3 heard Paul, but Felix 'n Festus made no comment - so we don't know if they felt the same. Verse makes me sad, every time I read it. So-o-o close ............

I believe Agrippa had the authority to release Paul. Paul had appealed to Caesar if he were going to be judged however if he were NOT going to judged, he could have been released. My point here is, I believe going to Rome was God's plan for Paul: Felix, Festus and Agrippa were just pawns.

Mt 27:52,53 Many bodies of the saints which slept arose and 53 after Jesus' resurrection they resurrected. These are the same that Paul was talking about in 1co15:20 Them that slept. These are our twelve tribes that Eph 2:12 says once we were aliens from, but now being in Christ we are partakers of the promises and hope in our 12 tribes returning at the time of Jesus return . See acts 26:6,7,8, 12 tribes are the common wealth of Israel and the rightful owners of all the land. King Herod had all the 2 yr olds killed in all the land. Mt 2:18, Jer31:15,16,17 they will be coming back. This is one of the Mysteries... In Rev 7:1-10 the exact order is given, and in Rev 14:1-5 it tells you they were virgins, no guile in their mouths, etc 1co15:23 gives the order of the resurrection. Christ first of the Firstfruits- means 1st rank in order the firstfruits the 144,000, all the 2 yr olds killed by Herod's army Mt 2 . Then those that can't be numbered. That is those that are in Christ at his coming.

Saul was radically changed by power that was not mere men 's ability, but in the personal experience of Jesus Christ! Great fear had to grip him, and to move him to a place of desperation. This humbled Paul to recognize his total helplessness and God 's very real and awesome power! That The Lord would still choose him knowing how he chose to destroy the Church was also great motivation for Paul to serve God in deep reverent respect of this new personal revelation of Who God Is. This is The teaching that The Lord gave us to follow! Such courage is given to us, as was Paul, to stand and "give an answer for The Hope that is within us "!Paul "loved not his life to the death ", not knowing whether that day he would live or be killed. But, he KNEW Jesus lived inside of Him, "and yet I live, yet it is not I that lives, but it is Christ giving him a new real power that far exceeds any disillusion of man to control his own life and circumstances. "To live is Christ, to die is gain ". His own faith was in Christ, alone, and in The Power of The Cross. May it be so with us!

I would give much to bear witness to hear in his own words the story of Saul's acceptance to The Christ. To hear his charged words and emotional expressiveness which by all accounts drew in all in attendance there. To the point when King Agrippa while somewhat smiling says, 'Saul-you have nearly persuaded me to follow Christ.' I am set on the edge waiting to hear more; this was no vision. Listen to him and know this thing happened to him and DID change him to the purpose of The Christ. As it was then as now, the power of persuasion is great beyond measure when a person can say, 'Yes-I know The Christ, I follow Him.' Now it's more clear to me that those words spoken by Saul were not his but the words given to him by The Christ. You too can do this so go on and spread the message. He will give to you the charisma, the elegance and the persuasion to bring others to follow Him too.

    To: Albert's Acts Chapter 26 comment about verse 14 on 9/11/2013, 12:31pm...
The name "Jesus" is from the Greek for the Hebrew "Jeshua"(Joshua) which means "the Lord is salvation". Matthew 1:21 says, "And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call His name JESUS: for He shall save His people from their sins." John 3:17 "For God sent not His son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through Him might be saved." Acts 4:12 "Neither is there salvation is any other: for there is none other name under Heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved." Romans 10:13 "Whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved."
Jesus was not the leader of the Nazarenes, He IS the only begotten Son of God. His Kingdom is not from here and because His Kingdom is not from here, His own people did not accept Him as their King when He was here on earth.
In touching your reference to Revelation 17:2, you must read on to Revelation 17:5 which says, "And upon her forehead was a name written, 'MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.'" (the false religious system that is put in place after the church is raptured up into Heaven). May God teach you through His Holy Spirit and bring you to Him through His Son, Jesus Christ.
  • Albert on Acts 26:14 - 11 years ago
If Saul(Paul)heard a voice speaking to him in the Hebrew tongue then he definitely did NOT hear any one identify himself as Jesus because that is Greek and is not a translation of the name of the leader of the sect of the Nazarenes, Yahshua. Rev 13 clearly tell us that there is a name of blasphemy. Now what could it possibly be? Paul and Barnabas were mistaken at one time for Zeus and Hermes. Zeus is the original source of the name Jesus. And the "WHOLE WORLD WAS MADE DRUNK WITH THE WINE OF HER FORNICATION" Rev. 17 P.S. Yahshua in ancient Greek is pronounced E-SHU-AUH.

  • Timothy Wayne George on Acts 26 - 12 years ago
Can you say as Paul could say I was not disobedient to the vision? King Agrippa said almost thou has persuaded me to be a christian. How many people will be persuaded to become Christians when we too will obey the voice of God to come out of darkness to light; from the power of Satan to God. Jesus is risen, and has given us the Holy Spirit to testify to the power of Jesus Christ. I pray that we will be bold in our testimony, and that many will turn to faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. Paul said that we are counted as sheep for the slaughter, but let us trust in God who raises the dead. The testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy, so let us be a witness for him every day. So let us be ready to hear the voice from heaven to "come up hither."

I love it; I can just imagine Paul at this judgement. I was wondering though, was King Agrippa a Jew or Roman?
