ACTS 2:15 For these are not drunken, as ye suppose, seeing it is but the third hour of the day. 16 But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel 1 Corithians 14:39 Wherefore, brethren, covet to prophesy, and forbid not to speak with tongues. 40 Let all things be done decently and in order.

Acts 3:8 And he leaping up stood, and walked, and entered with them into the temple, walking, and LEAPING, and praising God. ACTS 2:14 But Peter, standing up with the eleven, lifted up his voice, and said unto them, Ye men of Judaea, and all ye that dwell at Jerusalem, be this known unto you, and hearken to my words:

It is very long and our Bible Study may a take 2 weeks on it. It talks all about the Holy Ghost coming upon them and on blessed they were. It is very good and enlightens to study such a good book that God left for us and even now we can get a lot of good out of it. A very good book and a lightening study. Becky

We have been redeemed and saved from sin and eternal damnation through the shed blood of Christ on the cross! We must understand that there is no other way to receive this grace but through faith. Hell is a place where souls will go who do not believe! This is evident all through scripture. To think God could allow such a thing has been and still is a stumbingblock in the church. Christ loves us

These are all counterfeits. Not one in the flesh can speak the words of GOD, my Holy Father, but Jesus Christ. The wicked fabricated all manner of falsehood waiting for the coming of Jesus, even Christ being raised again from the dead, yet confess not that Jesus Christ is come. Nevertheless, this present evil world will end just as the last world. For it is written, The scripture cannot be broken:

I enjoy reading the chapter letting us no what was going to happen when God come back. You need to get your life together on earth. While you have a chance.

Dear Hayat, Yes, you may pray anytime and anywhere. It doesn't need to be out loud, but just the voice in your head. Having a church is ideal, but if you don't have one you can still be a Christian. You already have a family of Christian believers here. People here are happy to discuss any questions you have. Read Acts 2:38. God bless you!

There were two thieves that died on their cross one on each side of Jesus. The one on the right repented and Jesus said today you will be with me in paradise. He other one mocked him. Jesus said to repent or perish.

Please also see Romans 10:16 ...but they have not all "obeyed the gospel" John 3:3-5 Acts 2:38-39 Matthew 16:16-19 Peter preached the gospel to devout Jews who obeyed the gospel. Please also see II Thessalonians 1:8 I Peter 4:17 Galatians 1:8-9 Acts 22:16 how to call on the Name of the Lord Devout Jews obeyed the gospel, setting the example for us! One LORD, One Faith, One Baptism

Acts 9:9 says that he was without sight neither did eat nor drink. This implies an humble broken position on Paul's part to obey God,hence implied repentance. God spoke to Ananias told him in Acts 9:11 that Paul prayed-evidently Paul was repenting. In Act 9:17 18, he received the Holy Ghost was baptized. Acts 2:38 connects being baptized receiving the Holy Ghost with repentance first.

Acts 22:16 is where the blood washed Saul s sins away. Acts 2:38 is where around 3000 had their sins remitted. Acts 8:29-39 is where the blood washed the eunoch s sins away. Matthew 26:28 and Acts 2:38 tie the blood to the water. Rev. 1:5 and Acts 22:16 tie the blood to the water. John3:1-5 tie Spirit to the water. 1st John 5:8 ties it ALL Together. 1st Peter 3:21 is right, BAPTISM SAVES. Peace

Peter had the 'Keys to the Kingdom,' as God had chosen Peter to stand before all and give the plan of Salvation. His message, Acts 2:38-39. Repent and be baptized everyone of you in the Name of Jesus Christ for the remission of your sins and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. If you aren't baptized in the name of Jesus and filled with the Holy Ghost you are not heaven ready.

was there a time before the HS was given, like the O.T., there had to be people saved? And those who were are part of the dead in Christ, that will be resurrected on "that day."

  • TC on Acts 2 - 5 years ago
The essence of Chapter 2 is the gift of the Holy Ghost to enable us as witnesses, yet many today deny it's existence and power, it is the promise Jesus made when he promised to pray the Father for another to also give us power even miracles for witness and glory to God's power today in the church. Why do they have to show Oral Robert's films to show miracles in today's church? May God awaken us!

When Peter was asked what shall we do in acts2:37 Peter did not just tell the people to just believe and accept the Lord. Peter told the people in acts 2 :38 to repent be baptised in Jesus name and they would receive the HolyGhost.i obeyed this scripture in October 1990 .That has been the best thing to ever happen to me.i have had had a lot good things to to happen to me, but that tops them all!

Terry, Bruce, Steve: be careful about pulling verses out of context. GOD created ladies in His own image. Satan is known for misusing scriptures. Acts 2:17 "..your daughters shall prophesy", and read 1 Cor.12:1-28 to help clear up your confusion.
