To the People that stands with Chatanua Robinson, Mark 's Gospel Chapter 16 verses 15 thru 20 that is Christ 's Gospel of the kingdom for Him to be on earth then. It 's even called the Gospel of the Kingdom that 's given to the Apostle Peter and the other eleven the Gospel That ran up to the calling of the Apostle Paul after Christ had risen. Peter and the others was the Gospel of the Kingdom and not the Gospel of Grace given to Paul in 1Cor. Ch.15 Vs. 1 thru 4 that Paul declares of Himself. Back to Mark Ch.16 Vs. 15 thru 20 read verse 16, believeth be baptized and thou shall be saved for Christ 's Gospel to be on earth, the kingdom Gospel truth. But now read verse 17 of these signs, cast out demons, don 't hear too much on this one, speaks with new tongues, oh this is something special, I thought it was supposed to cease. Well what about verse 18 take serpents or drink any deadly thing it shall not hurt them. Why haven 't Chatanua Robinson told you these signs to do too? The signs was for Peter and others to win Jews for Christ kingdom on earth then and the Father would have sent Christ back. Read Acts Ch. 3 Vs. 19 thru 21. Remember the Gospel of Mark ends preceding Acts Ch. 2,38.

Bill, the moment we believed in Jesus Christ and were baptized in Christ 's death, we were added to the church, Acts 2:47.We were also transferred to the kingdom. Read Colossians 1:13. Colossians chapters 1 and 2 are good to read. Praise God from whom all blessings flow!

Just looked at Acts 16. Wow! How exciting! The jailer is on duty for the night never dreaming when he went to work, he would hear songs of praise, experience an earthquake, find his prisoners in their cells with unlocked doors, ask how to be saved, then believe and be baptized! What joy he must have felt that night! Now a child of God. Think of the impact he must have had after that. Praise God! The hymns too. I have an eBook of hymns of the first 3 centuries. Words of course . No musical notes. Those were added later!

Jacob, your 1:05pm, 12-31 comment was interesting. That is right about the preachers giving different parts of the salvation plan at different places in the Bible. The Jews had shredded hearts after they heard Peter 's sermon in Acts 2.So, Peter didn 't say believe in Christ first. They believed so then Peter said repent and be baptized in the name of Christ and you will be saved. I almost cry each time I read about Stephen 's sermon and stoning.Jesus stood for him! Amazing! He sits now in glory with everything under His feet. Jesus says believe and be baptized and you shall be saved in Mark 16:15-16. He doesn 't say repent there but of course we must. No following the world and Christ. Thanks for your insight. It is appreciated.

The evidence of the Holy Spirit in your life will be seen in your obedience to Christ! Do you grow daily in Christ? Do you lead others to Christ? Are you a selfless person? Do you lose your life in Christ? Not speaking in tongues. That gift died out in the first century. It is sad to see the lost right under our noses while we talk on and on about something no longer needed. The world longs to see Jesus in us. They want to understand and believe. We need to be leading others to Christ not talking about something no longer needed. Satan wants us to argue. Jesus wants us all to believe and teach the same thing so the world believes in Christ. Read John 17.

People are filled with the Holy Spirit when the have obeyed Christ according to Acts 2:38. They then walk with the Lord daily. I walk by the Spirit, reject the flesh. I reject the world. I embrace Christianity. I daily study the Holy Word and walk with Christ. I am Jesus daughter Chauntana. I do not talk in Spanish, French or other languages but the Holy Spirit speaks to God for me when I don 't pray for everything I should. I let go of the world years ago.

To all you people that believe that Acts Chapter 2 Verse 38 is the plan of Salvation for the Church, what about Charles Spurgeon, D.L. Moody, Oliver Green, Ed Young Jr., John R. Rice, Adrian Rogers And James Kennedy? From James Kennedy back to Oliver Green by which he led me to the Lord Put no emphasis on Acts 2,38 for Salvation, how about all these converts, are they all going to Hell?
  • Evangelist Chatauna Robinson on Acts 2 - 10 years ago
Hello Jacob: Yes, in Acts 2: 37 they did ask what they shall do. Then Peter told them in Acts 2: 38. Then in Acts 2: 39 he stated, summing it up, that it was for the Jews, their children, and to the rest of us. We deduce that Acts 2: 38 is the salvation plan, because in Acts 2: 40 Peter stated And with many other words did he testify and exhort, saying, Save yourselves from the untoward generation . Then about thousand souls were added to the church. Then as a witness to this being for everyone in Acts 10 were the first Gentiles. Then to validate further Paul then rebaptized those 12 men in Acts 19: 1 thru 7. Paul stated FORBID not the speaking in tongues is correct in 1 Corinthians 14: 39.

Part 2. Acts 16:31 is what we must do to be saved. God was dealing with the nation of Israel Acts 3:19 that was getting a second chance to receive their Messiah because of Jesus prayer in Lk 23:34. The Father forgave them and they had a second chance to receive their Messiah and the desciples had the SIGNS to Jews 1Cor 1:22,14:22 to confirm the word Mark 16:20 because the N.T. wasn 't written yet. Don 't go to hell in Acts 2:38 when you can go to heaven in Rom 10:8-13.

Part 1 Marvin the word of God works in those who believe it 1Thess 2:13. God bless you brother. Chatauna I hope you see that you are leading others astray by teaching a false gospel. Those is Acts 2 asked what must WE do in verse 37 in light of the fact that they crucified their Messiah verse 36. The kingdom was being offered until Acts 7 when Stephen was stoned. Thats why Jesus was STANDING in verse 55 which is what Jesus said would happen in Mark 14:62. They rejected Him so that is why he is SEATED Heb 1:3 until HE comes back to catch away His bride 1 Thess 4:16-18 before the Great Tribulation of Rev 6-19. If you believe Acts 2 if for us today then sell all your possessions vs 44 and 4:32.

Hello Jacob and Marvin: First of all the church of God is not a structural building. Our bodies, those that are filled with the Holy Ghost, are the temple of the living God. We are the spiritual church. Paul did not need proof that God was filling the Gentiles with the Holy Ghost, because he was preaching and teaching way before he encountered the 12 men in Chapter 19. When you read those passages of scriptures Paul was not skeptical about people being filled with the Holy Ghost. He laid his hands on them on purpose to pray for them to get it. He was not doubtful at all that God would not fill them with the Holy Ghost, neither did he require proof. In the end, the evidence of the Holy Ghost in your life is that you must speak in tongues as the spirit of God gives utterance.

Hello Jacob and Marvin: This is not my Word but God 's Word. Paul preached and taught Acts 2: 38. In Acts 19: 1 thru 7 he rebaptized 12 men in the correct way. He laid hands on them and they were filled with the Holy Ghost. Paul taught not to forbid speaking in tongues, 1 Corinthians 14: 39. He wrote Galatians 3: 27 "For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ ". Paul throughout his Epistles and Books he spoke and taught in one form or another about Acts 2: 38. Jesus even stated that you cannot see or enter heaven with being born again of water and spirit. Peter clarified it on the day of Pentecost with Acts 2: 38. This promise is for everyone, not just the Jews.
  • Evangelist Chatauna Robinson on Acts 1 - 10 years ago
Hello Bill: You are correct. This was the beginning of the church age and it is extended until the rapture takes place. During this Dispensation of Grace, everyone has to following Acts 2: 38 in order to be saved. There is no way around this. No one will be able to buy their way into heaven, or go because of a certain skin color, status, or education. This is strictly through faith believing and acting upon that faith. Like in the days of old it was stated that obedience is better than sacrifice, 1 Samuel 15: 22.
  • Evangelist Chatauna Robinson on Matthew 5 - 10 years ago
Hello Bill: John 3: 3 "Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. John 3: 5 and 6 "Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit . In order to go to heaven a person has to follow Acts 2: 38. This is the only way to be born again. The promise is to everyone. It did not stop back in the Biblical days. There was an outpouring on Azusa Street. There is still an outpouring today. God is filling people with the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking in other tongues as the spirit of God gives utterance. People need to be saved. The tribulation is coming and it is going to be worse than it is now.

Brother Jacob your comment on 12-30-2014,806 pm... About tongues really edify me. Now I have a better understanding about tongues on what went down back then and what 's going today. Think you and God bless you.
  • Jacob on Acts 2 - 10 years ago
See 1 Cor 14:22 where tongues are for a sign. Thus, the Bible definition from Mark 16 to Acts 2, from Acts 10 to Acts 19, and from 1 Cor 12 through 14, signs were given to Jewish apostles for use in confirming the word see Mark 16:20. In each case this sign gift of tongues was manifest because there were Jews present who were in a state of unbelief. There is no record in the Bible of tongues being used when believers were gathered as a local church. And, if an unbeliever came into a place like the carnal church at Corinth, where human spirits were leading men to babble into the air, he would think he was in a madhouse, not in the house of God.
  • Evangelist Chatauna Robinson on Acts 2 - 10 years ago
I rewrote Part 1 of 3: Part 1 of 3: Hello Jacob: James 2: 20 But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead? The scripture is still valid, because it is the truth and the word of God, John 17: 17 Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth . The 12 men were not saved, this was the purpose of Paul rebaptizing them and laying his hands on them. It also shows the importance of have Acts 2: 38.
  • Evangelist Chatauna Robinson on Acts 2 - 10 years ago
Hello Joni G. and Jacob: The church is still being built today. The church of Jesus Christ is made up of human beings that have followed Acts 2: 38. You have to be born of water and spirit. Romans 12: 1 "I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service " You cannot be holy except ye be filled with the Holy Ghost.
  • Evangelist Chatauna Robinson on Acts 2 - 10 years ago
Part 3 of 3: Paul was not talking about the evidence of tongues that comes with the Holy Ghost. He was referring to the many languages in the world. When this world ends, all known languages will end with the passing of this Earth. If you continue to read 1 Corinthians 14: 39 Wherefore, brethren, covet to prophesy, and FORBID not to speak with tongues. This scripture is talking about the evidence of tongues that comes with the Holy Ghost. Ask this question, Why would Paul talk against something he himself had received from God? Why would he lay his hands on those 12 men and saw them receive the gift of the Holy Ghost and saw them speak in other tongues and prophesied if it was wrong? If it is wrong then why would God have it written in the word of God? In the end, speaking in tongues is the evidence a person needs to know that they truly have the true Holy Ghost. There is no way around this. AMEN.
  • Evangelist Chatauna Robinson on Acts 2 - 10 years ago
Part 2 of 3: Both Apollos and these 12 men were baptized unto John s baptism. While Apollos was in Ephesus teaching all he knew Aquilla and Priscilla heard him speaking they took him aside and taught him the way of the Lord more perfectly, Acts 18: 24 thru 28. When he was disposed meaning when he was placed in order of the right way, he began to teach, Acts 18: 28 For he mightily convinced the Jews, and that publickly, shewing by the scriptures that Jesus was Christ. We can deduce that it was this time that Apollos was saved. In 1 Corinthians 3: 6 Paul confirmed this by saying I have planted, Apollos watered but God gave the increase . If I can say it like this, Paul laid the foundation, Apollos was the teacher or preacher who continued to water what Paul laid down, and God added to the church such as should be added.
  • Evangelist Chatauna Robinson on Matthew 24 - 10 years ago
Hello Karen Miller: Yes, it does. In households, fields, buildings, etc., you have people all over the world that are saved. You have a husband that is not saved and the wife that is saved. They could be in the bed and the call of the Lord and the trump will sound. The wife will be taken and the man left. A daughter or son saved and the mother and father are not. They could be at the dinner table when the call and the trump sounds the daughter and son taken and the parents are left sitting at the dinner table. The rapture is very real. In order to be a part of it a person has to follow Acts 2: 38. The power of the Holy Ghost, which is the resurrection power, is what will change a person and give them flight.
  • Evangelist Chatauna Robinson on Matthew 6 - 10 years ago
Hello Gurjit Singh: and Shemdoe, Stanley: The word of God does tell us, Matthew 6: 33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness and all these things shall be added unto you . The kingdom of God is twofold, as I have explained this before, so when Jesus was talking here in Matthew he was referring to the future tense, meaning that one should be born of water and spirit. The way to do this is by following Acts 2: 38 to get into the kingdom of God. The righteousness of Jesus Christ comes by way of the Holy Ghost, Ephesians 5: 9 For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth Jesus Christ is God manifested in the flesh, 1 Timothy 3: 16.

Hello RNM: Regarding your post under this section dated 12-29-14 time 5: 01 pm: Discussing the Sabbath is one of those conversations that I have already addressed with you under Revelation Chapter 22 in 3 parts, date 12-27-14 time 10:37 am. However, as I stated for a true Christian Sabbath is every day. We are to live save every day. We are not supposed to pick one day and live saved. If mankind wants to change the Sabbath, that is between them and God. In the end, the prime directive during this Dispensation of Grace is following Acts 2: 38. Getting saved, living saved, and staying saved is what we are to do.

Joni G has the best comment that could be given. It is the teaching of scripture, and the key to becoming a Christian. We have to become a Christrian by being a repentant, emersed believer. Then we begin to have the remainder of the Bible become relevent for us. Acts 2:38, Mark 16 16, and other verses teach us this. Obedient faith is the key. Believe in Christ that He is who He said He is. Believe in what He taught.
  • Joni G on Acts 2 - 10 years ago
Jacob, read Gr 's comment of Jul 28, 2014 under the 1 Corinthians 1 comments. Paul in Corinthians 1 was saying believers were talking about the status of the person baptizing them. They were focused on the person that baptized them instead of being baptized by water into Christ. Paul wasn 't devaluing water baptism. He did baptize a few people as it says in Corinthians. Instead he wanted them to focus on Christ and the power of the cross. In Galatians when Paul was talking about a different gospel, that had to do with certain Galatian Jews who were trying to mix the old law which was nailed to the cross with the new gospel of Christ, given in Acts 2. Jesus told the apostles to stay in Jerusalem so they could receive the Holy Spirit and deliver the gospel the way God wanted it delivered. We are to follow that same example set forth in Acts 2 today. The Holy Spirit delivered the gospel the way He wanted it taught. As I said before the purpose of tongues back then was to build the church. The purpose of the gentiles receiving the Holy Spirit and speaking in tongues before being baptized was to show the Jews that God accepted them where before the Gentiles were unclean. Great is the mystery of godliness. In a lot of Paul 's letters, he was writing to get Christians to mature, grow, see that the Christian walk is a race, repent and other things. Satan was trying his best to change the gospel and destroy the church.

Answer 2. Tongues is one of the least gifts a christian can have 1 Cor 12:30. I wouldn 't forbid you to speak a language, Spanish for example, that you had never learned to get the gospel out but todays tongues do not edify 1 Cor 14:4. They are edifying themselves. With no interpreter, and more than three at a time vs 27, and not by course, and the women are not keeping silent vs 34. Water isn 't mentioned anywhere in Galatians. This baptism is the Spirit baptism of 1 Cor 12:13 because it puts the believer vs 26 INTO CHRIST. Acts 2:38 was never preached by Paul and he was not sent to water baptize 1 Cor 1:17. No water is mentioned anywhere near John 3:5. Born of water is obviously a reference to the first birtth, the physical birth, just as it is in Genesis 1:20, Isa 48:1, and Proverbs 5:16-18. That is why Jesus says that born of water is born of the flesh in verse 6. Acts 2:39 refers to Jews see Dan 9:7 for the far off reference. Paul wasn 't even saved at this time to write Eph 2:13 and Peter knew nothing of the Church age yet Eph 3:3. Please check the passages.

Answer 1. Paul preached by grace through faith not works Rom 4:5, Eph 2:8-9. He rebaptized those in Acts 19 because they had Johns baptism see vs 3. How could they be saved like we are in the church age if they haven 't heard of the Holy Ghost? Vs 2. These disciples in vs 1 have believed but have not received the Holy Ghost. The problem is that they are not disciples of Jesus Christ ch 18:24-25, they are discoples of Apollos. Apollos was not even saved when he made these disciples because they knew nothing about Jesus Christ ch 18:25-26. The revelation they had only went to Mark 1:4. These didn 't have the Holy Ghost because they hadn 't believed on Christ Jn 7:39.

Hello Gerandene and Jacob, Romans Chapter 16 verse 25 says, Now to Him that is of power to establish you according to My Gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the MYSTERY, which was kept secret since the world began, THE MY GOSPEL is the Gospel of Grace given to Paul, the reveling of the MYSTERY was the CHURCH given to the Apostle Paul, the Church given to Paul only, that was a secret since the world began. Why would I say that? The Kingdom Gospel was prophesied from Exodus Ch. 19,v.6 till Calling of Paul. If the Church would not have been kept secret it would have confused all the Apostle and least 8000 more in Acts Ch. 2,38. So brother and sister in Christ you 've got it right, have a happy year.
